Nick did a fantastic job repairing my AC unit! Friars was able to get us scheduled for the next day even during the heat wave. Nick arrived on time and diagnosed the issue quickly. He thoroughly tested all components and waited patiently to ensure the issue was resolved. He went above and beyond! We had another company come out the day before and the other company told us we needed to replace the entire AC unit at a cost of $5k and up! Nick repaired the issue for a tenth of what the other company quoted. I would highly recommend Friars as a local San Diego company that is family owned and supports first responders and military.

Nick was very polite with a clean, professional appearance and did a great job with the repair. Friars Heating and Air replaced my AC and furnace last week. I am very happy with their work and their ethics. I had three other estimates and Friars was the only company that gave me a true evaluation of what I needed. I had a contractor friend evaluate my duct system prior to getting estimates so I knew the condition of my system. The other estimates all told me I really needed a new duct system.. I so truly appreciate the honesty of Gary who inspected my home, told me my duct system was ok and wrote my estimate. The crew showed up on time and started working right away. A great group of guys!Everything was tested and I was taught how to use the system before they left. Something done that I didnt expect is that they soundproofed the closet where the new equipment was installed. I can barely hear it when its on. When my old system turned on I needed to turn up the TV. Lol Everything was cleaned and all the old equipment was removed. If I can just mention one more thing that is awesome. New units come with a new thermostat.. I wanted a thermostat that worked with Alexa and Google. Thats what was installed even though it was an upgrade there was not an extra charge. I am very happy with their work and recommend them to anyone looking to install or upgrade their current system.

After waiting 4 days for different hvac repair company to show up and refuse to work on our unit because it was on our roof, we called Friars. Chris showed up the next day and after 40 minutes of testing was not able to reproduce the problem. Shortly after he left our system shut down and he returned to find that our blower fan was overheating due to a failed bearing. Parts were ordered and we were up and running the next day. We just moved here and will be using Friars for all our future hvac service. Thanks to Chris for all of his hard work up on our hot roof.

I typically do not post reviews but Friars provided great service.We recently experienced a heat wave and my ac unit was running most of the day. My upstairs furnace started to leak water onto the floor. My wife phoned Friars and they promptly responded to our home. After a thorough inspection indoor and outside, they informed me my coils had iced over and the drain was plugged. Not sure what that means but they indicated the unit was now working properly and my system was charged.It has been over a week and we have had no issues with our ac.I am very pleased with the service provided because they responded quickly, were honest, and only charged the service fee.
