    Timothy Fernandez came out to our house to mount a TV above our fireplace. He was outstanding, explained the best solution. There was not an outlet above our fireplace. He wired an outlet and walked us through everything he did. Throughly explained the warranty. We will definitely recommend.

    I had an emergency issue that required me to call an electrician rather than someone I knew. So I decided to find an electric company online that I thought would come by after hours (about 6:30PM) and let me just say, thank you Lord for having me call Mr. Sparky first.From the moment I got Autumn on the phone to having Stephen Uresti come out to the chaos I was dealing with, my experience was nothing short of amazing.I lost half the power going to my house not realizing the extent of how bad the situation was and Stephen made me feel at ease with getting everything fixed.I had to replace my main panel box outside as well as my inside panel box which was all an absolute disaster.Stephen was very communicative with me and helped me navigate my way through such a terrifying time and needless to say a huge financial decision.     I called Mr. Sparky after a disastrous Microwave installation from one of the big box stores that penetrated my main electrical cabinet and arched my home electrical system. Roberto (Electrician), Katie (Task Manager) and Bryce (Reception) were absolutely fantastic in getting my home up and running on the day before Christmas Eve! Our Holiday was heading towards disaster buy the fine staff at Mr. Sparky saved the day. Their professionalism and expertise were on display during my interactions with them to get the repair completed. It gives me great pleasure to recommend them to serve your electrical needs. I also joined their membership and reaped some pretty good discounts. Overall, I believe they are the best residential electricians in the business.

    I was looking for a company to help me with a fan install for a high ceiling fan when I googled and came across Mister Sparky. I always look at ratings and reviews and it seemed Mister Sparky had the highest of them all. Kevin Lafferty was the Service Technician that came out to help and did an amazing job. Yes all I needed was a quote for the fan install but he checked all of my breakers, plugs and some additional areas that were pertaining to my electrical to my house. Because of this he showed me what I should be concerned with and also gave me multiple options on where and if we wanted to get some of the work done. He was very empathetic knowing I had a family and was more concerned on keeping everyone safe in my home vs just trying to sell me something. Because of this I came looking at a fan install and may just walk way being a regular customer so I can ensure my house is safe and sound to prevent any other future incidents from happening. Great Job Kevin and Team. Also the follow up and response times are amazing too!

    Our tech, Jake, made a same day call to fix a deeply concerning issue with our breaker box, and he did a great job! No more crazy loud egg frying noises coming from the box, and all our things are charging fully and safely.He did a great job with a safety inspection, and even left us some tips/instructions on how to safely change out the bubble boxes on exterior GFCI, who to reach out to for help with our garage opener (separate issue), and even found some breakage on our exterior panel casing and gave info on contacting CPS to get that fixed as well.As a family who have experienced house fires and electrical issues in the past, Jake gave me and my partner a lot of peace of mind.     This is the best company I have ever worked with in San Antonio. Hands down the best. Cheers to Scottie and team for being the most professional, kind, patient and amazing team you can ask for. Do yourself a favor and call Mister Sparky - they are DEFINITELY above and beyond the other electrical companies in the San Antonio area. We had a 10/10 dangerous situation at our home and we did not know it - Scottie and team were able to come to our rescue - while we were one week away from our first born child. Scottie and team rescheduled their whole week just to come out the very next morning and begin full repair of our home (2 new boxes and electrical system). Do yourself a favor - call these guys - hands down he mist amazing team i have wver had the pleausre of calling in San Antonio. I honestly will remember them each for how they rescued us. We could have been in a really bad, tight situation and they took care of us IMMEDIATELY. We thank them from the bottom of our hearts. If not for Mister Sparky, we could have had our house burn down - we didnt realize our homes old electrical system was a death trap.     Lost power at 10AM yesterday as Foundation crews were working on site. Desperate for a quick solution with a reputable company, I found Mr. Sparky through a Google search. 4.8 starts with over 2600 reviews? Thats the one! I called and explained my situation and the lady on the phone was very helpful and create my appointment for that day (2PM - 6PM). I explained that Im hoping that they can come out much sooner if possible as there is no AC in the house. She called back within 20 minutes to notify that there is someone available to come then. Perfect! Mr. Roberto Ramirez arrived a short time later and quickly found the immediate issue, a loose breaker, and a few dead geckos. He replaced the breaker to get us up and running again, but also notified us the breaker box is not to code as it lacked a main power off switch for the box. He provided 4 options to get us up to code and solve our immediate issue. We opted to replace the panel with surge protection. By later in the afternoon our old cheap main breaker panel was gone, replaced by a very high quality panel, with room for growth, and the aforementioned surge protection! Thanks so much for the great communication, professionalism, and getting my A/C up and running quickly on a hot South Texas early August day!

    Outstanding attention to detail!! I have used Mr. Sparky for my own home. I am on the Board for our Community and when the preferred Electric company continued to fail on fixing electric problems, I pushed for Mr. Sparky to be given a chance. Our Tech was Timothy, this guy needs a raise! Timothy came out a week ago, pinpointed all the issues past companies failed to find. He did a temporary fix while we waited for the approval and paperwork to be done within the HOA. Timothy came back and noticed new damage, along with new personal items on the ground. He mentioned it’s possible we have homeless people camping behind our signs and they are causing the damage. Sure enough, not even 12 hours later, all because Timothy paid attention to the smallest of details, the sheriff department was called and a homeless person was removed. I can’t thank Timothy enough for all the time he spent helping us finally get the entrance lights up and running correctly, along with helping us discover the possible cause for the continued damage to our electric.

    We were awakened early Saturday morning with loss of power and an arcing main service panel. called and had a tech on his way, Roberto Ramirez arrived and assessed the problem for a home built in 1941, additions in the 70s and rewired in the 90s, He explained the work that war required and the total cost for each option settled on the price and option and Sam the install guy and Roberto were back within an hour with all the materials and set to work. Within 6 hours all work completed and power was restored to home safely and efficiently. They take care of making sure its all up to current code and permitting and inspections. along with the outstanding warranty.

    I was thrilled to get human response on long weekend last minute call BUT Mr.Sparky showed up by way of Buck who was so pleasant, calm and dignified and easily at ease. He heard the long tedium of my situation and began analyzing. Mine is an older house and has much needed to even meet code. Buck determined the strategy, explained it thoroughly and waited patiently as I processed my options. Next day sent out a crew who further discovered failings. Quite scary but worth the price.     I called Mister Sparky to resolve a power outage in my kitchen that turned out to be a much bigger issue with the wiring in an older home. Roberto completed the assessment and provided me with 4 different options and price points as well as serving as a liaison for the process. I went with an option that would resolve the bigger problem, which led to Robert (aka Stewy) and Joseph working diligently for the following 2 & hottest days of the summer this year to complete the job in stifling conditions. Despite the challenges of the job they could not have been more professional, friendly and courteous! I’m completely satisfied with the work solution achieved by the Mr. Sparky team and won’t hesitate to call on them again if needed.

    Nobody wants to wake up at 3am to the wires from your main breaker ON FIRE. But if it happens to you, like it happened to me, these guys will take care of you. We were panicking trying to find someone who would come out so late in the night to help us but Mister Sparky quickly dispatched to us and arrived about an hour later. Roberto was very knowledgeable and professional and got us an immediate solution until Cameron could come out later that morning with all the proper gear for a more permanent fix.     Joseph Davila was our technician, come in around 7:30 pm same day call for an emergency. very knowledgeable, friendly and explained everything well. He thoroughly inspected the issues we had and give multiple options to solve them and also explained everything and did give us his recommendation to do also insured that it is safe for the night and no electrical fire can occur until the fix. Did not do any work for at the time of visit for the work needed multiple things done plus it was almost 10pm and he was on-call for another customer. We did scheduled the work to be done the next day. Robert Stewart and his apprentice Tommy did the work that Joseph put in. Both are very knowledgeable, friendly and also explained everything, step by step. Answered all my questions about the items being installed and fixed. Once done they make sure they cleaned up all. Great job overall! Recommend all three.

    We had a wire in the front yard that was exposed and not sure what it went to. The utility companies marked their lines but this wire was not identified as city utility. We have landscaping lights, but they never worked. Marcus helped us verify it was the wire to the landscaping lights and he showed us how to disconnect the wire. He also helped us identify which light switch went to the landscaping lights. We just moved into our new house, and we are still learning all the ins and outs of the house. Our inspector did a good job on the inspection report but never provided solution to his findings. Marcus did a full inspection of our electrical system and outlets. He even reviewed our inspection report to make sure everything was addressed. All in all, Marcus was great. We now have peace of mind. The price was reasonable. An estimate was given before any work was done. Service was great. He mentioned a couple of things that would be nice to fix but not required by code. He gave us his recommendations , and the decision was ours to make. We recommend this company . They are our go to company for electrical needs.

    The 220 for my dryer connection went out, checked circuits and nothing was tripped. Im fairly handy, but I dont mess with 220. Called Mr. Sparky and they were out the next day. I was greeting by a gentleman named Mr. Roberto Ramirez. After quizzing me on my issue, Roberto went to work. In a short time, Roberto reviewed the problem with me and gave me a few options. The previous owner of this house had some major work down but went the cheap route when adding a sub-panel to the main. So, what I really need is a new main panel, but that just isnt in my budget at the moment. Roberto gave me some affordable options to get me up and running. He did excellent and I feel confident I hired the right company to take care of my electrical needs. I definitely have more work for Mr. Sparky, just have to prioritize with other projects.     Ive used Mr. Sparky ever since Snow-mageddon in San Antonio, TX in early 2021. Thousands of homes without power, we were one of them. After the power company said it would be several days before they could come fix our power issue, and our house was around 10 deg F inside (we had one gas stove, which saved us), in desperation I called Mr. Sparky. They had a tech out in 2 hours, found an issue actually at our house and fixed it that day! Ive been using them ever since for all of our electrical repair needs, and now Ive joined their annual maintenance plan so theyll be my go-to for all future needs. From small jobs like installing new lights or ceiling fans (was too high for me to reach) to putting in more outlets around the house, to helping with major house renovations, it seems no job is outside their ability. The techs are always super nice and professional, good sense of humor, very careful not to track dirt on the carpet, and they clean up their mess and take away boxes and stuff after the job. Love it! So rare to find great service like this in San Antonio! Highly recommend!

    Throughout my life as a 40 year homeowner of different homes, Ive had electricians, plumbers, painters as well as handymen do work for me. Ive just had Luis from Mr. Sparky in San Antonio install a EV Charger for our new Tesla~ From the beginning, weve had some minor issues that kept popping up to hinder the install from voltage issues in our home (built in 2007) not having the correct type of electrical setup~. Along with these issues there were also those from Tesla itself from not sending the correct charger to not explaining during their seminar how to adjust the charging voltage. But to make the story short the 3-4 visits by Luis to finally fix the bug were done with the most courteous and professionalism that Ive ever encountered. They even bought the correct charger online that should have been sent to us by Tesla!     One last update from our previous reviews: We asked Mister Sparky to come out again to address some concerns from a home sale inspection. First, Benjamin Buck arrived to install AFCIs for each bedroom...a safety update that wasnt part of the code 24 years ago. Then, Robert and Tommy came out to bond and (update/improve) the ground for the gas lines running into the house...another safety update of the code. Unfortunately, they also had to change the master electrical box as well. All of these gentlemen were absolutely top notch! Somehow, Mister Sparky not only manages to find/train/upgrade amazing electricians, even more importantly, they find really good people. Buck was absolutely professional, personable, respectful, and took time to explain what needed to be done and why. Robert was amazingly patient and caring, not only about his work, but in the way he worked with his apprentice, Tommy.Mister Sparky has an amazing team. Frankly, this was expensive work that, unfortunately, had to be done. But Mister Sparky made it a little less painful with the competent electricians and wonderful people they sent to do the work.

    Benjamin did a fantastic job performing electrical services at my new house. Initially I called to get the doorbell transformer replaced but upon a safety inspection he noticed items that needed to be addressed, some of which he fixed right on the spot, and one he had to come back the next day with the right materials.     We had a great experience. Roberto came out to access what the situation was. Fortunately, he wanted to make sure that we were safe and our old electrical boxes needed upgrading. I had Mr. Jason Calvert come to my home to complete a safety inspection and ask him some questions about updating my home’s electrical panels. They were able to accommodate me with an option I could afford and was able to have the job done same day as the inspection!     Had a situation last week involving surges and sparks in my control panel. I made the call to them at 8:00 PM. that night and had a technician out of the house by the next morning. Robert was a pleasure to work with. Professional, personable. Probably the best interaction Ive had since being a homeowner. They were able to have a crew out there the next day and all of the work was completed within about 6 hours. One of the lights still didnt come on after the fix and they spent an additional 2 hours troubleshooting the issue until it was resolved, at no added cost. Robert returnedlater in the day to explain the entire fix and to show me the new panels. Everything is working perfectly. I will 100% continue to use this company for future electrical issues.     Above and beyond from start to finish!! Our tech that was sent out in an emergency Stephen Uresti,(on a sunday evening) was on point!!! He checked every thing he could in the moment and was able to get us figured out after a small electrical fire due to the previous storms. This company, along with Stephen Uresti..     Our air conditioning went out on one of the hottest days of the year. It turns out- it was due to a poorly wired electrical panel. I called Mister Sparky and they had Joseph here within 45 minutes. Joseph was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He ended up having to come back the next day with a crew to install a brand new panel. The two men on the crew performed the work throughout the day. They were professional, knowledgeable and took their time to do a great job. They made sure to explain everything to me and kept me updated throughout the job. I would definitely call Mr. Sparky again.

    The techs showed up when they said they would. Work was performed promptly. Only issue was that new GFCI plug, switch and plate did not match the existing light switches on the same plate (see pic). The tech offered to change out the light switch for $167 per room to the same color (white). I would have preferred the new plug and switch would have matched the existing switch. I told the tech I will change it myself. I understand the cost includes a three year warranty, still seems high.Since this review, the technician came back and replaced the light switches to match the white GFCI plugs at no charge. This proves that Mr Sparky is indeed concerned with customer satisfaction. I am very satisfied with the service and work performed by Sam.

    Mr Jason Calvert has taken care of services for us twice now and we cant say enough about his professionalism and how good he is at explaining the services Mister Sparky provides/that we may need before there are major problems with our aging system. Friendly, personable, and determined to figure out how to best-fix the issues were experiencing in our now 22-year old home, Mr Calvert has made us really glad we decided to call Mister Sparky and have them do a full-house inspection/provide recommendations. Our outdoor electrical box needed work/grounding, our indoor box needed some re-working, our smoke detectors needed upgrading (who knew? so glad we asked!) and a few other items have needed attention and theyve taken care of it all.     A little about my house, its old. While its old it has charm, and this charm came in the sense of possible ghosts that were flickering lights in the bedroom. Alas! Mister sparky came in and got rid of any doubt of supernatural powers at play, but did inform me of my fusebox being old and needing replacement as their recommendation. While it may have been cheaper to hire a priest to get rid of any potential poltergheist, my house being from the 70s was definitely needing the upgrade and the work was phenomenal, so no complaints as it was worth the expense. Cameron and Sam did a fantastic job explaining every step in the process and if i had to do this again i would not hesitate to call Mr. Sparky.

    UPDATE:It is true I wrote a one star review. Management responded to the review and called. Joshua put his license on the line to correct multiple errors from a first visit. 5 Stars on the return visit. He was true to his word and all work was completed by a professional master electrician, Sam Provenza. Management took seriously the issues noted in the first review. I chose not to name the fist electrician because humans and businesses make mistakes. Was that a one off? I was assured all issues would be reviewed and retraining will happen. Based on Sams return to the house, I believe that to be the truth. We feel confident the work was done thoroughly and professionally. The electrical field is serious work. You have to trust the people and businesses that come to your home. Would I call Mister Sparky for work in the future? Yes. To management, thank you for your prompt response. To Sam, Thank you for your promptness, explaining along the way, cleaning up, your training and skills.FIRST REVIEW:If you are reading 1 star reviews, heed the warnings. Take note that the owner responds by stating we take this seriously - Obviously not true. Mr. Sparky was called to replace a 240 volt dryer receptacle . The electrician spent his time attempting to sell electric upgrade packages ranging 2K to 9K. Does it make sense to ask to replace a receptacle but rather attempt to sell unnecessary upgrades? They prey on people who lack knowledge of the electrical field. Our daughter, the homeowner, called her dad. We were on a 5 way speaker call. Dad told the tech the plastic housing is melted. The tech said no it is not. One of several lies told by the tech. Dad said, I saw it with my own eyes. Dad asked not once but twice what the resistance was. Twice the tech skirted the question. The tech said code requires 2 ground rods. Clearly pre-owned homes are grandfathered. Dad instructed the tech to replace the receptacle and the 30 amp breaker. Got off the phone and the tech told our daughter ultimately it is your decision, do you want a surge protector?. She said no, just the receptacle and breaker. For these two things the charge was 444.00. Told our daughter to take a pic of the new breaker. No new breaker, it was the original breaker! Stunned by this level of dishonesty I called Mr. Sparky to advise what happened and requested they email a copy of the invoice and a refund. No email was received. The tech called me and actually said he thought as he was replacing the receptacle his partner was replacing the breaker. The breaker was not replaced; they were on their way back to install the breaker. If there was no picture taken of the new breaker, Mr. Sparky would have successfully scammed another customer. I said, you were asked not once but twice what the resistance was and he actually said, If I tell her (our daughter) she could sue him and that is absolutely not true. I asked he if knows how many homes in San Antonio are grandfathered regarding 2 ground rods, there is no possible way he could not disclose the resistance. Remarkably he said the resistance is .003. I asked him as an electrician does he see an electrical reason to replace the breaker? He said, No. I told him not to replace the breaker and to do a refund. I asked what the charge was and he said he did not know. I said you had no problem charging 444.00 but cannot state the charge for the breaker that was not installed. Then remarkably he said it was 253 for the breaker. Once the invoice was received, the charge was for a 60 amp breaker! The breaker is actually 30 amp. The tech apologized. Although I have no idea what the apology was for, lying? trying to scam someone? or simply that he got caught? Our daughter said it best, This was like an 8th grade teacher having Eddie Haskell in your class. Whats next? Off to find a reputable electrician. There is no confidence the receptacle was installed correctly. Mister Sparkys business model is designed to drain you of money for unnecessary work.
