They were able to come out same day and were able to arrive earlier than planned. Robert did a fantastic job explaining the issue and resolved it right away. The most impressive thing on top of all that was no attempt to upsell me on something I didnt need or some type of monthly service etc which I get so often from other companies. This was good, honest, fast service at a reasonable price.

This is the second time I have used Bolt Electric and on each occasion, the project was completed on time and in a highly professional manner. Communication was excellent: prior to arrival and upon completion. In addition, there was communication during the project. I have had service from Bolt Electric three times so far this year and each time I have been extremely pleased with the response time and the excellent service. Robert was the Electrician who was sent to my home all three times. He is friendly, personable, experienced and competent! The first two issues were in my kitchen area and both were resolved immediately. Todays issue was with my water heater. I have not had hot water for 4 days as I originally thought my problem was plumber related and part of the time was the week-end. I called Bolt Electric this morning (Monday) as soon as they opened and I was worked into Roberts very full schedule. He assessed the situation, went to get a needed part, and returned to fix the problem. I could notice warmer water even as he was writing up my invoice!I will be a forever customer at this locally owned business. Really impressed with the work my technician Robert did on my house today. Needed a new outlet for my washer/dryer combo because requires both 240 and 120 supply. Installed a new breaker and ran a supply line. Price was very reasonable than one of their competitors. Definitely recommend!

Great service and fair pricing. Had a microwave that kept failing and the tripper switch in the box wasn’t flipping. Turned out the problem was a connected outlet that had grounded the neutral and only allowed 106 watts to the microwave. I would never have figured this out. It was money well spent.

I wanted to update my light fixtures in the kitchen. I had enough of the ugly fluorescent light boxes and wanted them removed and replaced with modern lighting. Bolt Electric was one of the companies I called to get an estimate. Robert came out and gave a reasonable price and I went with them. I’m glad I did. Robert did a great job with installing the new lighting. He started on time and finished on time. I’m going around my house to see what other fixtures need updating. I am selling my house and an item on the inspection was to switch out an outlet. I have never needed an electrician while living here so I had no idea who to call. I started searching on Google and saw that Bolt Electric has many great reviews so I decided to give them a try. Everything I have read in previous reviews is absolutely true. It was an absolutely great experience all the way around. We called one day and had an appointment for the next. Robert was on time, even a little early. He was very friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and I would recommend him, and Bolt Electric, to anyone. He explained everything to me and answered my questions patiently. Plus, his service was fast...in and out...he didnt try to make the job longer to earn more money. Bolt Electric is a great company to go with for your electrical needs. My husband was deployed and I over used our electrical making something in the air fryer simultaneously with other things in the house (oops!) and fried one of the wires. Fortunately, I found Bolt and they sent Robert to my house to take care of it. The job was done so fast and he informed me of exactly what happened and how to avoid it in the future. He also let me know about an option of installing another outlet for just my air fryer since we purchased an older house that doesnt quite have the capacity to handle it. A fuse blew in our dryer causing issues with our 220 volt outlet. We hadnt had to call an electrician in quite some time so we were a bit nervous about who to call. We saw the good reviews on Bolt Electric and decided to take a chance; we were glad we did. We set up the appointment and Robert arrived on time. He was very professional and courteous, immediately troubleshot the problem, fixed it, and answered all of our questions. We will definitely use Bolt Electric again should we have future electrical problems.

They were rather pricey ($190 for the one hour of work and parts), but I have a feeling that is industry standard. At least they did a great job and stand by their work. Darrel with Bolt Electric is a fantastic electrician! He did superb work and did it in great time -- with little mess to clean up after! We had a ceiling fan put in our kitchen and are SO HAPPY with not only the fan, but with the quality service we got from Bolt Electric. We have requested to have them return and put in recessed lighting in our kitchen now thanks to the great work they did with the fan. By the way, we were already sold on this company when we called to schedule an appointment and the woman who answered the phone was extremely sweet, knowledgeable, and efficient. Then to top it off, the cost to do work in our kitchen was a little more than half of what we were expecting to pay and THAT in itself was a blessing!

I needed four outdoor outlets installed around the exterior of the house so I contacted Bolt Electric based on their great Google reviews. They did not disappoint! They showed up exactly when they said they would and once the project was discussed they did not waste anytime in getting all the outlets installed. A few days later one of the outlets keep tripping a breaker so I called and they literally came back out a few hours later and corrected the problem. Robert and Louie were personable and professional. You wont go wrong in hiring Bolt Electric for your next electrical project.

Stop looking for an electrician if youre wanting value and someone who is knowledgeable, dependable, and trustworthy, Ronnie Bowles and Bolt Electric will give you peace of mind that the job is done right and that youre getting a fair and competitive price for the work you need done. I have had experience with other service companies where unbeknownst to me were a commission sales company. Mr. Electric quoted me nearly $9,000 dollars and wanted to sell me two electrical panel installs among other various things. Bolt Electric charged me less than $3,000 and was able to address all the same things by only upgrading what needed to be upgraded and repairing the rest. Bolt Electric is an honest and reputable business. Call them today!

I do not write reviews but making an exception for the fantastic service we received from Ronnie and Bolt Electric. He called ahead letting us know he was en route to our home, was helpful in diagnosing our problems and made it understandable to someone who isnt an electrician. Its not every day you get a master electrician making house calls! Their price was very fair and he didnt try to sneak in extras and actually did more than we initially asked for within the up front price quote. Ronnie was very courteous and treated our home like his own. Since I am taking the time to write this you know I would recommend Ronnie and Bolt Electric to others for their electrical needs.

I had to replace a 150V circuit breaker. I had my own breaker and called several companies about doing the job. Each one told me they would not do the work unless I used a breaker proved by them. I called Bolt Electric and they said that was not a problem. When the technician arrived he tried to use my breaker but it was not the right type. He even took the time to show me several times that my breaker would not fit the breaker box. Since I did not have the right box he had to go and get the correct breaker for my particular box and he completed the work in a very fast and efficient manner and I was very pleased with the cost. Needless to say if I need any further electrical work it will be done by Bolt Electric. Additionally, the lady I spoke with to schedule the work was very pleasant and explained every thing to me that they would do. I did not get a surprise when the electrician showed up at my house and told me I would be charged a fee just for the pleasure of them coming to my house which has happened with other electric companies that I used before I discovered Bolt Electric. I highly recommend Bolt Electric for all your electric needs.

Very impressed with Bolt Electric. We needed to have our gas lines electrically bonded before we sold our house. After calling several other companies that said they didnt do that I found Bolt. He helped install a fan in our kitchen and he did a wonderful just. He also was very friendly and took the time to give me advice about a number of other things that I wanted to know regarding electrician work around my house. I sold a home in San Antonio and the buyers inspector had called for significant repairs to the electrical system which the buyer wanted completed. The only way to address them was to do costly upgrades.I checked various electrical contractors in the area both on line and by phone. I had limited time to obtain opinions, advice, and pricing for the work as the closing had been scheduled.When I called Bolt Electric, I initially spoke with Wendy who was very helpful. Wendy scheduled Ronnie to go out and assess the situation and review the inspectors report. They gave me an initial estimate range for the work. I was then able to email Ronnie several times with questions which he answered in detail. All of this initial work was done without any charge; that was not the case with some other companies that I contacted.I chose Bolt Electric because it was obvious to me that Ronnie not only knew his profession inside out, but he knew the optimum approach to take for my specific situation. I wasnt disappointed. He sent me photos of the work since I wasnt in town and the workmanship appeared excellent. The buyer was provided with an updated, safe system with minimal disruption to the home.There are no simple, inexpensive solutions when faced with upgrading an electrical system in an older home. This is highly skilled work that cannot be left to an unlicensed individual or even a licensed person without the proper experience because of the potential consequences relating to safety and including improper installation that would not be approved on inspection.If I needed electrical work in the San Antonio area in the future, I would simply call Bolt Electric and have them do the work according to what they felt was necessary. I fully trust the company.

My wife Jennifer Hamilton, came across Bolt Electric online. Called them up and set an appointment right away! The lady on the phone was really professional, nice, and understanding! Then there was 2 gentlemen who came out to for the appointment and even came early! Which was great! And it didnt even take them more than an hour to figure out the problem, fix the problem and break it down for my wife about the house and the electricity and other great insites. Couldnt have been happier, start to finish. I reached out to multiple companies for quotes, these guys were not only the first to respond, but had the best customer service as well. They gave me an accurate estimate by a phone explanation alone for a more than fair price. I had Bolt Electric to repair a 240V disconnect for the dryer at my aunts house. As it turned out, one leg of the disconnect was not working, the wire size was wrong and it was double lugged to the main disconnect for the house. Originally this line was installed in the late 1970s.Following a review and discussion of the options to make the electrical for the house safe, I decided to have Bolt install a main service panel on the outside of the house replacing the main disconnect and replace the panel inside of the garage. Additionally, they fixed the 240V receptacle for the dryer (which started this whole process).Robert and the other electrician (I forget his name) did an excellent job. Very professional and the work was very neat. They did a great job cleaning up and explaining in detail the work that was accomplished and why certain breakers were used for some of the circuits, i.e. arc-fault circuit breakers and GFCI breakers.In addition Robert and the other electrician, the office staff was very good at working with me and my schedule as well as arranging for CPS Energy to be out and disconnect the feed to the house.I feel that my aunt is safer now in the house.

I contacted Bolt Electric on a Sunday afternoon via their website and Ronnie responded in less than an hour (which was very unexpected). I called Bolt Electric to have them fix a problem with my smoke alarm system. Im always leery of using a business for the first time but they advertise on the talk radio station I listen to, The Answer 930, so I took the risk. Manuel came out and after I explained the situation, he quickly got to work looking for the problem. I watched him the whole time and was very impressed with his troubleshooting skills. He found a broken wire in the ceiling, fixed it, and then did a quick check of the other alarms in the system. He was done in less than an hour and I was relieved. I also appreciate that they give a military discount. I will definitely use them in the future.

I have a 70 year old house and was having a new roof installed when the circuit the workmen were using went dead. I checked the circuit breakers, but none had tripped. So I called Bolt and they sent Robert who seems to have a lifetime of experience. We went though all the possibilities of what the problem might be and he kept saying that there had to be another panel somewhere. This is the house I grew up in so I knew its history as far as remodeling and such, but I really did not think there was another panel anywhere. Finally I looked again in a china closet and looked more thoroughly. And there it was, behind a bunch of china and painted over to match the wall. And there was the tripped circuit breaker! If Robert had not insisted there had to be another panel, who knows what we might have gotten into. And even though there was nothing that actually needed to be fixed, his knowledge and expertise helped me discover the source of the problem. Also, in the process of checking everything out, he pointed out that the panels we have in the house, which are the originals from 1950, are actually very dangerous and need to be replaced! Fortunately they have not caused an issue in the past 70 years, but it could happen at anytime. I will be having Bolt replace those panels when I remodel the house!

Recently bought a house and had electrical issues after the inspection showed nothing amiss. Have never needed an electrician so didnt know who to call. Googled electricians close to me and the first one I called didnt answer his phone so I went to the next one--Bolt. The receptionist was EXTREMELY helpful and the woman booking my appt explained everything about the costs upfront. The electrician was on time, friendly and patiently explained everything he was doing when I asked (I ask out of curiosity, not to question judgment or expertise.) He was efficient and very tolerant of my nosy Corgi mix who wanted to inspect his toolbag and practically demanded to be petted..lol He was understanding of my other dogs barking their brains out at this stranger in their midst. I cant speak to Bolt being reasonable as far as cost--although I assume they are--since Ive never comparison shopped, but for me it didnt matter--they were close, able to book an appt the next day and able to fix the problem in a short period of time (but fully prepared to deal with a more extensive issue) so it was all money very well spent! HIGHLY recommend this business!!!

Bottom line - up front: Hire this company! The wait time was reasonable. The communication from their dispatcher was excellent. My technician was patient to troubleshoot from where my issues were caused and safely fixed each one. He brought historical knowledge of how homes have been built in the past and the most effect modern ways to correct them. He was even graceful enough to fix my home repair errors without calling me out. This company is military friendly and I thought the fees were well worth the service I received.
