With her assistance we were able to select high quality products and materials utilizing the latest technology for appliances, lighting and cabinetry. We are very pleased with the results and highly recommend Porter & Cress!

Cant say enough great things about my whole experience with Porter & Cress. Have worked with many contractors before and it always feels like pulling teeth to try and get responses, but not this time! Lori & team were extremely communicative, responsive, and on top of that the work was done quickly and looks great! Recently completed a bathroom renovation, added a front door (our house never had one) and a walkway. All the trades people were highly skilled, focused on the job and made certain to protect our home with drop cloths, plastic etc. when things were going to get messy. Lori was professional, knowledgeable, responsive and pleasant to work with. Our questions/concerns were answered thoroughly and in a timely manner. She was on-site frequently to check on the work and make certain we were satisfied. Next project is a kitchen renovation and we look forward to working with Porter & Cress.

It was a pleasure working with Lori on bathroom renovations and lots of interior painting in an old house that presented some challenges. She engaged the best subcontractors and has very good relationships with them. We were on a strict deadline and Lori helped keep everyone on track to finish in time, all with a pleasant, calm, and steady manner. The work was performed expertly by competent, friendly subs. Im very satisfied with the experience and the results!

I hired Porter and Cress to do a renovation on my moms primary bath recently. I live in another state so I had to manage it virtually. They did an excellent job the whole way through. I knew from my first few conversations with Lori that everything would be handled with extreme attention to detail. They were in communication with me regularly and responded to any questions quickly. It was very easy on my mom who is 80 years old, which was one of my primary goals along with wanting a good outcome. I would highly recommend Porter and Cress to anyone looking for a great home builder and renovation company.

We cannot thank Lori Burke enough for making our dream home come to life. My husband and I never thought we would take the leap and commit to building our dream home, but we are so grateful we did. The horror stories that you hear from family and friends when it comes to building a home were just that, stories. We met with Lori multiple times before we started our custom build, and with her guidance the project went much smoother than we ever expected. I’m not saying stress is eliminated, but any time we had a moment of concern or worry, Lori was right there to take our questions and get resolutions. She knew are goals, budget, and timeline. We discussed every detail, including every penny that was spent. I couldn’t imagine going with anyone else.

Porter & Cresss contractor Lori Burke just completed a renovation of my 1914 homes old large kitchen and bathroom and also added a powder room off a bedroom and it is transformed into a beautiful home now! Significant work was needed including demo of some walls and floors, new piers and supports, replacement of sub flooring, updates of electrical, duct work, plumbing, repair of windows, and moving appliances and switching to gas stove. The custom tiling, cabinetry, and carpentry and all the work done was perfect. She coordinated all the permits, inspections, and timing of all the many people getting the work done, removal of old things - some donate if possible, and was available at all times to me and to them. She guided me in picking out exactly what I wanted to achieve. I look at the finished home and I am amazed and so grateful.

She was great about keeping us in the loop with what was going on, she was easy to communicate with and very responsive, and she kept a close check on the work and progress. Everything was planned very efficiently, and we are very pleased with how it all turned out. Lori was excellent to work with, and I highly recommend her and would be very pleased to work with her again on future projects.
