Great experience! They stopped by the same day to check our old water heater’s small leak. Ended up needing to replace it (as anticipated), and they were able to do it the very next day. It was huge and in an awkward spot, so 2 extra guys came to help the first 2 move the tanks out/in. They were all nice guys, focused but still personable. Hopefully we won’t have anymore plumbing issues for awhile, but when we do, we’ll be calling Schaaf again.

Schaaf did the plumbing for the construction of our building and we continue to use them for service. They are always prompt and thorough. Recently our hot water heater had some issues and Joe got a new heater instead of replacement parts under the warranty which was cheaper to install and better long term. Very happy customer.

Had a good experience with Elvis and Rob from Schaaf Plumbing. I wanted to get an estimate for a blocked outdoor drain and a corroded pipe in my basement.I liked how they were really honest about the outdoor drain. They said they could clear out the debris in there but that it’s something that I could probably do myself to save some money.Their pricing on replacing the corroded pipe was reasonable enough for me to get them just to change it there and then rather than me waiting to get more estimates.

During the busiest plumbing season (in parallel with the holiday season - and a Saturday, no less), being in my situation was not fun: I contacted four other top-rated local plumbers, and none would accommodate until the following week. Joe and his team arrived on time and were professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. I appreciate their troubleshooting savvy and surprisingly quick execution of a creative solution. Called Schaafs Plumbing and Heating on a Sunday for an emergency with the hot water heater in my rental home. They got back to me within 30 minutes, went to the house within the hour, determined the hot water heater needed to be replaced and went to work replacing it. I live out of state and they kept me informed every step of the way. Could not have asked for better service, they were wonderful, and the technician Manny was great! Wish I could rate them 10 stars, would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone.

These guys were able to come ASAP on Sunday morning to replace leaking water heater. When tenant called me at 8 am I expected all nine yards with finding plumbers, then to try and get everything done after work on weekday.. I had given Manny a print out of the toilet I wanted but Manny also suggested other toilets to consider. Joe is great! He took the time to explain the situation to us and made sure we were comfortable with the next steps. Joe’s team is amazing. Big shout out to Robert, Jorge, Luis and Marvin. They did not rush through the work. They made sure everything was properly done and tested. On top of that, they took the time to tidy things back up before leaving. We have relied on Schaaf for all our plumbing needs for our pre-war house for more than 20 years. The scope of work has ranged from emergency repairs (including a New Year morning leak) to more extensive projects such as rezoning the heat, boiler replacement and home renovation. They have been an outstanding partner for all efforts. Work quality is excellent, timely, and highly professional. Their advice and recommendations are always thoughtful and insightful. Prices are fair and reasonable. Schaaf also goes the extra mile. On two occasions we had non-plumbing emergencies and Schaaf leveraged their industry contacts to find other professionals who came on site within 2 hours to handle very critical problems. My wife and I just cannot imagine not having Schaaf to rely on.

Used Schaaf Plumbing in April for a laundry machine leak and drain clog. Manny came out and fixed the problem in within 30 minutes. He also gave me some good tips for maintenance and upkeep . Schaaf has been our go-to (residential) plumbing company for almost 15 years now. John is the partner with whom we usually speak, and he is always courteous and helpful in assessing our needs and scheduling the necessary work. Along with routine repairs such as leaking faucets and replacing parts, they replaced our gas furnace four years ago. Rather than continue to tempt fate we had them replace our hot water heater this weekend. Manny and his crew were in and out in about an hour and a half. They did a really good clean up and took away the old heater. As always, prices from Schaaf are competitive for Bergen county, and I am assured that I am getting the work that needs to be done correctly, I have confidence in using and recommending Schaaf Plumbing. I called Schaaf off a referral from a colleague. Diane was great and patient as I explained the problem. She was able to have someone come the next day. Joe and Rob showed up during the hours stated. Joe evaluated the problem, had to break the wall and found the leak. They quickly went to work and corrected the problem at a reasonable cost. They even took time in tidying up afterwards. Last night at about 8 30 I discovered that I had a clog in my toilet. Water overflowed and I was extremely upset. Where would I find a plumber on a Friday night? I Googled plumbers in Cliffside Park and Schaaf Plumbing came up with glowing reviews. And those reviewers were right! I called and Manny said he would be over in 30-60 minutes. He came right over and after doing some work determined that the clog was in the main and that he would have to come back in the morning to snake the main. I decided that since he needed to remove the toilet I would replace it with a taller comfort unit. Manny dropped off Guillermo at about 9 AM so he could remove the old toilet bowl. Guillermo was so sweet and polite, and very hard working. These 2 guys were fantastic! I was extremely lucky that they were able to find the clog which was very bad and took care of it is a short period of time. They even cleaned up the mess! I also had them replace a leaky kitchen faucet. I couldnt ask for better service! Manny was so professional and wasted no time. Like I said, where do you find a plumber in an emergency??
