I chose Carter Electric because of the reviews I had read. They exceeded every expectation I hoped for. If you want to be treated as though your business matters, call Carter. From Michelle in the office to Tony the expert to Matt and Kyle the worker bees, you have the best professional team. Tony kept me informed of what and when work would be done. Matt and Kyle showed up on time and worked steadily. The prices are quite reasonable. I was so impressed I had them update the electric panel and double the amps.

I am extremely pleased with Carter Electric!I spoke with Michelle over the phone and booked a service call where she walked me through process and pricing. Gabe then arrived at the schedule time to perform the work. Gabe was kind, very knowledgeable, informative, and made quick work of challenging situation (the electrical in the wall above and below the back wall of a kitchen sink in a 1950s home...if you have an older home and have had plumbing, HVAC, or electrical work done, then you know what I mean by challenging). I chose Carter Electric based upon the Google Reviews of others, and after working with them, I too am highly recommending them to others.

As a new homeowner of an old house, I really appreciated the time Matt and Kyle took to explain everything to me. I enjoyed good communication and flexibility in scheduling, and follow-through on my questions. City inspector expressed confidence in Carter Electrics work. All work was done well and completely, and although I didnt understand everything, it seemed they did more than was required to get the job done properly. I feel much safer and more confident in our houses electrical system!

I have been using Carter Electric for the last 5 years and highly recommend them. Not only do they have fantastic prices, but they have the best customer service. They actually respond quickly, call and explain everything and all possible options, answer questions, etc. They show up on time, are polite, and get the job done quickly. If you need an electrician, this is the place.

A fallen tree ripped the electrical service from the roof of our house. Carter Electric not only made those repairs but they also fixed other electrical problems that the previous owner hadnt disclosed. They did an outstanding job! Id highly recommend them!

I received excellent service in having a 220 outlet put in my kitchen. They went above and beyond in their service, not only did they add the 220 outlet but they took out my old cook top and placed a new one in. They saved me money and time by not having to hire a separate contractor. If that was not enough, they were reasonably priced as well.

Instant response on the verge of a holiday at that.Half of the rental house lost power and with new tenants having just moved in.I called at 9 am, Cody from Carter Electric was on site by 12:30. Cody was very professional and knowledgeable about the work at hand. He was working on an old antiquated patchwork of an electrical system. Located a break underground, got it repaired and working in no time.My tenants are happy and so am I.The value for the work performed was exceptional. Cody is a great asset to Carter and Carter as a company has my business for the foreseeable future. I highly recommend calling on Carter Electric if you have any electrical nightmares to deal with.

We purchased a new spa, which required 220 volt power to be installed. We contacted Carter Electric and they came out right away to work up an estimate. The installation was a little tricky, but they have a can do attitude and were able to do some things to help keep costs down. The installation was done quickly, cleanly and price was reasonable. Would recommend them for your job.

Carter Electric has been doing electrical work at our house on and off for the past 5 years, from replacing fluorescent lights with LED’s, to installing smoke alarms, to replacing our fluorescent box lights with recessed can lights, and moving several outlets and plugs in a kitchen/living room remodel.The latest project was installation of a Generac propane generator, which came in handy during the PG&E public safety power shutoff. When PG&E cut the power, the Generac started up in about 15 seconds. When PG&E restored power, the Generac switched off and we were back on the grid. It was so easy and convenient, and we did not have to suffer through a power outage without water, heat, refrigeration, as we did in the past. Carter Electric’s electricians are professional, knowledgeable and courteous. They explained the generator to us, and were available In case we had questions during the first power outage. I would highly recommend Carter Electric.

This is an absolutely gem of a company. I originally contact them about installing Cat-6 cable between two of my buildings and their work was so good I hired them to also fix a couple other issues I had in my bathroom and an outbuilding. We had work done today by Carter Electric and their service was spectacular. I called the office yesterday morning to set up a time for someone to come to the house for an estimate. I was told Tony, the owner, would be there at 4 pm and he arrived promptly. He said he would email an estimate that very evening, which it did and it was very satisfactory. I emailed him back and said to start the work at his earliest convenience. He said one of his men would be at our house at 9 am tomorrow. Sure enough, Cody, a wonderful young man, arrived just before 9 am and did outstanding work. How much better service can you get than that? I recommend Carter Electric highly.

Carter Electric has been my electrical contractor of choice for several years. Initially, Tony and his crew performed a major electrical expansion on a home renovation project on time and on budget. After the Carr fire demolished the pre-expansion portion of the house, Tony responded to our needs and got power up and running. Rather than rebuild, we bought a new to us home which needed a bit of polishing. Carter Electric, once again, stepped up and performed several upgrades to help us realize the comfort of a home. Just today, Tony’s crew finished up an upgrade of our office building lighting from old fluorescent to new LED. During all of these varied projects, Tony has made himself available to answer my questions, help with design considerations and educate. I’ve even jokingly referred to him as the Professor for LED 101. Tony, Chris and Matt have been extraordinary to deal with. I’m not sure what projects there will be in the future but I know that if electricity is involved, so too will Carter Electric be. Hands down, no hesitation about recommending this company.

Carter Electric did very professional work for me: installed 10 sconces around the exterior of my house; 12 path lights along my driveway; and spotlights and floodlights that accent specific features on my property. Many of these lights employ dusk-to-dawn sensors for automatic operation.Tony Carter, the owner, prepared detailed quotes for me on what he determined to be two separate projects and, after I had approved, he and his team carried out excellent installations. No surprises, no hassles. And this after two other electrical contractors with whom I had dealt bowed out, citing either project difficulties or scheduling conflicts.I will be using Carter Electric in the course of ongoing home renovation work.

Following the Redding Snow Storm of February 14, 2019, trees and limbs knocked down the power line to my home. They also bent my Weather Head at the house which PG&E would not reconnect service until that item was fixed. Tony Carter took a text while out of town on Sunday, came by the house to evaluate the job on Monday morning and had his service rep. at the house to fix the problem that Monday afternoon. Incredible considering electricians were in high demand due to this storm incident!

Tony Carter is an amazing electrician who really knows his stuff. We had to replace a dozen LED recessed lights in our house and he knew exactly what we needed. We also had him look at an outside socket that wasn’t working and one in our garage that unbeknownst to us, was connected to our outlets in both upstairs bathrooms. He resolved the issues quickly and with a smile! Great energy and knowledgeable person to have in your corner.
