The folks at Addy Solar and Electric have been my goto company since I moved to Redding from the North East. They installed a Generac whole house generator back in November 2022. Pete (the person installing) went over and above to make sure it was installed properly, cleanly and worked well. After seeing some electric bills from PG&E over the winter and spring (and NEM 2.0 soon closing), I got a few estimates. As I had hoped, Addys price was right in line with most others. Knowing how well Addy takes care of customers (and installations) I made the decision to go with them.Danny and Michael arrived to start the installation on a Monday (it is a ~17Kwh system - pretty big). The Redding weather was hot. Like 100F all week hot. Both Danny and Mike took their time and over the course of the week, installed the mounts, panels, electrical wiring/breaker box and control system. Even with me asking (probably too many) questions about the system. After they were done and the system inspected (passed) Mike turned it on and made sure all things were working. One thing I have learned over the years with contractors - those that take their time, make sure its correct AND pickup/cleanup after the job is done - are generally the best.Addy Solar & Electric is one of the best. Nice, friendly people (everyone from sales to administration to electricians/installers) - all a genuinely nice!!Top notch company and people.Highly recommended. -

Addy came through for us for warranty work that we needed to have done. Peter and his co-workers were serious about their trade and it showed. Much appreciated! -

We took the plunge with Addy Solar and Electric after meeting and watching them do an installation at our neighbors house. The Addy guys are great people doing great work. They did all the paperwork with the county and built our system without a hitch. Very nice, friendly, competent, people, and we are extremely satisfied! Answered all our questions and now were up and running. Five stars for all those guys! We shouldve done it along time ago.. -

I want to take a few moments to say how pleased I am with the work that Pete Cottrell and Mike French of Addy Electric have done in the installation of my solar equipment. The work was professionally done, neat and timely. There are nearly always problems in any installation, but they stuck with it, contacted the right sources and made it work. I couldnβt ask for a better team; they went above and beyond so much so that I am going to have some add-on work done by Addy Electric! -

Quality, professionalism and value for your money is what you get with Addy Electric. Everyone I dealt with was wonderful. I was in the trades for 40+ years and Pete Cotrell is perhaps the best intaller/tech I have ever seen on the job. All the employees of Addy Electric were attentive to every detail and a pleasure to do business with. Thank you all for making my dream come true! -

Have had my new solar system from Addy Solar & Electric operating for a couple weeks now. It is so exciting to see how much power the system is generating! The system works great and the Solar Edge monitoring system allows me to see real time performance of each panel from my pc and mobile phone. The whole experience with Addy was great. All the Addy team were great to work with and kept me informed from start to finish. Thank you! I highly recommend choosing Addy for your solar needs. -

After my last review, Aaron at Addy contacted me to fix it. He was surprised that the County had signed the final inspection report, however, these cosmetic issues are of no concern to County officials. Within a week, staff came out to our home, and within the next 4 days, all issues that were remaining were fixed and all is well. We are very happy with our Generac backup generator. Anyone can make a mistake, and all is forgiven. A company that can admit their fault, and work quickly to fix the issues has the integrity I admire. Addy stood behind their promise and I would highly recommend their company. -

From first contact to final installation, from office staff to field technicians, my experience with Addy Electric has been nothing but positive. They were recommended by a trusted friend who also had a great experience. I will be happy to refer them whenever I get the chance. -

Addy Solar and Electric personnel were very professional. They had to work with the Building Department and there were several modifications required to meet the County codes. Addy kept in constant contact and let us know how they were progressing. We are very happy with our system. -

I have an older, larger home, and PG&E got me for as much as $2k+ a month on more than one occasion. Solar was a MUST. I researched everyone I could, learned about leasing vs buying (leasing is a HORRIBLE idea, Ive found), and really found Danny Addy and his team at Addy Solar to be very personable, wise, fair, and professional. Addy, however, was the only one to bid a SMALLER solar array (less panels) but with higher efficiency panels that would produce the same amount... at less overall cost. He then informed me about having batteries onsite to be able to program my system to trade with the grid in an always-beneficial-to-me manner. No one else mentioned batteries. So I researched... Its a NO BRAINER to go with batteries when you have a larger power need! Especially with PG&E. So, needless to say, I have a beautiful solar array in the field and a really cool, smart system that I can control with the app Addy hooked me up with. In truth, it makes other systems seem kind of silly and outdated.
