    Had a safety inspection of our home electrical systems with S&M Electric. Brandon arrived on time and did a thorough job. Everything checked out fine except he found one dead outlet outside. Brandon replaced the outlet and tightened all screws in electrical panel. He also checked all the outlets and smoke detectors inside the house. Have used S&M Electric several times and their technicians always do an excellent job. They wear clean uniforms and are very respectful of your home. Gary C

    I have a monthly contract with this company and feel good knowing they are there (usually the same day) to help me with electrical issues.     Sean and his trainee, Austin, could not have been better.They are both fine gentlemen who you enjoy having in your home. Sean is a “can do” guy. Ask for a little different idea and he’s got the answer, skill and willingness to make it happen. We are extremely pleased with the work performed and the cleanup that followed. If I owned a business I’d try to hire Sean away from you.

    Most contractors in Prescott are booked for months and charge you an arm and a leg when they do get around to coming out. However, S&M Electric had reasonable prices and they were able to come out to replace our electrical box within a week or two of me calling. They also handled all the permits and scheduling with aps and the city which made it very easy.It has been a year since the work was done and they just sent someone out to do a free one year checkup. They did a great job and I would certainly use them again if needed.

    Great customer service, no pressure sales. Jake arrived to install a new motion sensor light on the outside of my garage. Low & behold, the old light was not properly installed. Jake put in the new light, took out the old junk that was there, ensuring the house would be safe & free from any electrical problems. He completed the job quickly and cleaned up afterward.     We had our electric service panel upgraded to 200 amp service, whole-house surge protection added, and installed a sub-panel to run critical circuits off our existing standby generator.     Brandon arrived on time and well-prepared for the annual inspection of my home wiring. He methodically went through a checklist including main breaker panel inspection, GFCI outlet tests, and smoke detector installation inspection. He found a smoke detector connection problem and a couple of GFCI outlets that take longer to trip than they should. He discussed the tradeoffs of GFCI outlets vs. GFCI circuit breakers, and commented knowledgeably about the Ting electrical system monitoring gadget. He was pleasant to deal with.

    We called S & M Electric and Ross came that afternoon to replace a light fixture and all the outlets in my kitchen. He was very nice, professional, and respectful. Also, S & M Electric has a Safety and Savings Plan that gives you discounts on services, warranties on installations and repairs, safety inspections and more! I was having problems with my smoke detectors and they examined and tested each one, installed new batteries (again, much appreciated!!) and then tested the outlets and checked the circuit breaker box.     We had our smoke detectors go off at 4:00AM this morning for no apparent reason; there was no smoke, no fire, no danger we could detect. We called the Prescott Fire Department as a precaution. They found two smoke detector that we mal functioning. We called S&M just before 8:00 AM and explained the problem. A technician was at our door with in 30 minutes. He replaced to two problem detectors and now all is well.The shrill sound of the detectors panicked our cat Squad Car but he recovered as soon as the firemen left.

He let me know if we needed something that wasnt on the truck it would get delivered by a dispatcher while he was working.     Our house has a whole house fan that has never worked. I called the manufacturer and was told that the unit probably needed a remote control (which wasn’t in the home when we moved into it) and that a replacement remote would also require a new control unit which would end up costing about $300. Ross, from S&M Electric in Prescott, AZ, stopped by and after removing the unit from our hallway, quickly found a way to bypass the remote control unit so that it would work with a wall switch. The cost of the service call was less than 1/3 of the replacement cost for a remote control. Ross was polite, friendly, explained what he was doing and why at each step, and he found an efficient and quick solution to the problem. We recommend this company highly!

    I utilized S&M electric approximately eight months ago for some general outlet re wiring and electrical inspection on our new old home. Jake was our technician and was fantastic. Friendly, professional and obviously very good at his job, he didnt upsell, just pointed out the problems and fixed them.I had to call again yesterday after a potentially dangerous wiring situation was found in our barn. Jessica, who answered my call, was incredibly kind and while no one was available, was able to send Jake and Ross to our barn about two hours later. They spent almost five hours figuring out the problem and fixing it. I was obviously incredibly nervous keeping animals in the barn if the problem persisted. They talked me through the entire process and showed me how the problem happened, the fix that would prevent it from happening again and even went through a trial test to show me the safety measures which would activate to preclude a future issue. This company afforded me a safe place for my animals on a very cold night and peace of mind. I cant recommend them highly enough.
