Scott is amazing! We were in the middle of a remodel and needed quite a bit of work done in a short amount of time. He came out to our house within a day of contacting him and had bids in our hands the same day. He then scheduled his work just a week or so later and did an awesome job. Installed a new panel, new lighting, reworked old wires (we have a 1995 build) and was super responsive and courteous. Be sure to use Golden Gate for your electric needs!

We used GoldenGate for the first time on a house we were selling and the work was exceptional, done on time, and at a very fair price.Because of the great experience we had, I hired Scott and his team for multiple electrical projects on my new house.Scott ran a new exterior outlet, fixed one we thought was inoperative at no charge, wired and installed multiple outdoor floodlights, and several interior lights.Throughout the whole experience Scott and his team were professional and seemed to always go the extra mile. We called Scott with a question about a circuit breaker that had tripped in our house. He was quick to respond and offered to stop in to take a look at it for us. He came when expected, was polite, professional and did a thorough check of our breaker box to reassure us that everything was fine. He worked quickly and was in and out in about 15 minutes. Heres the best part - he didnt charge us for the visit! It doesnt get any better than that! We fully expected a truck charge and would have happily paid it for the assurance that everything was working as it should be. Thanks Scott!!

Mitch and Sam were awesome! They came out the day after I called, and they were extremely helpful. We had two locations with double switches where the wiring was completely messed up (switches that controlled outlets, lights going on when they should have been off). Both areas were fixed in less than an hour, and the fee was quite reasonable. Golden Gate is definitely our go-to electrician from now on!

This business was recommended to me via a neighborhood app. Initially I was hesitant because I didn’t know anyone personally who’s used Golden Gate Electric. Let me assure you, there’s absolutely no reason whatsoever to be hesitant using this company.Several businesses were referred to me, but Scott was the only one to respond in a reasonable time (Immediately returned my call). Other businesses either didn’t return the call or waited nearly a week to do so.Scott was able to give me a quote within a few minutes of explaining the work needed (installing 2 outlets in my outdoor soffits for installation of 2 outdoor cameras and installing a Floodlight camera).Our initial scheduled date needed to change due to his business responding to an emergency call out of a family who was without power in addition to deteriorating weather (I felt his well being and addressing the family without power was far more important than installing outlets) conditions. Scott communicated with me throughout the day, keeping me informed of his progress.The following day, he arrived as scheduled, clean and professional uniform and vehicle. Although personable and engaging, he stayed on task, completing the job far quicker than I thought would be required.Additionally, while not required to do so, he assisted me setting up several RING security devices since he owned the system too.By the time the project was nearing completion, I’d already decided he will be the only electrician I’ll ever call in the future. Icing on the cake was the fact the final price was less than the quote, although I paid the quoted price.Anyone in the Twin Cities and surrounding metro, should you ever need a residential electrician, do yourself a favor and call Golden Gate Electric; I can assure you he will exceed your expectations.

I had an inspection because I am selling my house and he was very patient with my realistate agent who was very vague in her demands to get my house up to code. (Unlike any of the other electrical contractors I reached out to.)Highly recommend!

I had another electrician out who told me that they were all sorts of problems with my panel, and that it could become a fire and safety hazard in my home. I had Golden Gate electric come out to take a look at it and potentially give me a quote. He arrived on time within two days inquiry for an appointment. He opened the panel and confirmed that there was nothing wrong with the panel, and that it was in good shape and even had the additional space for an up coming basement remodel. He answered all my questions and really gave me peace of mind. This is a company I would call over and over again!

We had a large fan installed in our 12 ft. great room ceiling.We chose Scott as our contractor because he was great at communication and he gave a detailed estimate of all components of the work, including the permit. The final cost matched the estimate. Scott took care of the permitting and will schedule the inspection. His installation was quick and thorough. He covered furniture and rugs to protect from dust and debris, and he cleaned up very well. After such a positive experience, hes now our go-to electrician. I highly recommend Scott for quality work and professionalism!

Absolutely recommend! I was nervous as I had other companies Ive worked with in the past that were not as good as this company, Golden Gate Electric was top tier quality and service. I went 6 years without power to my dishwasher which is now working again. Very responsive for scheduling, very informative on their prices. Nothing hidden, I felt valued and informed. On the scheduled day they showed up before the scheduled time which they were prepared for wearing the proper personal protection equipment if needed or requested for Covid and had shoe protectors and mindful of the home surroundings. Upon arrival we discussed a overview of the requested work and they immediately got to the work. In under 45 minutes too!!! They were kind and courteous and respectful. Ill need additional electrical work to be done in the future such as adding a junction box to the basement, electrical panel upgrade and full electrical upgrade, so when I am ready to start those projects I know who Im calling....Golden Gate Electric!!!! Thank you Golden Gate Electric for a great experience, professional and timely repair I will recommend you to everyone!

We had an emergency last night with the fire department coming out. Our smoke detector had actually caught on fire from the inside. When I called first thing in the morning, he did not have any time available and was willing to move his schedule around to make us first on his list the following day. We took that appointment but he did one better and 45 minutes later said he could be out to us in a couple hours. We are also located in Farmington and he was working out in the cities so that was a big drive. He kept me updated through the morning letting me know when he was on his way. Once here, him and his partner were very professional. They wore the little shoe covers even after saying it was okay not to, removing them each time they went outside to put them back on when entering our home. He was very thorough, checked all wires, installed a new combo, and even checked the other 7 smoke detectors to make sure they looked good. He explained everything before doing it and was very friendly. It was nice to have when it was a serious situation. We will definitely use him again as well as recommend his company to family and friends.
