Tom did a great job with restoring our bathroom after sewer water damage! He came to our rescue quick and communication with him was easy and prompt. He got started with the renovation even while we were dealing with insurance, and even helped us with our claim to get the proper amount of payment! He fully restored our bathroom and patched and painted the ceiling and walls in our dining room below. Tom was kind and courteous, and very mindful of our 15 month olds nappy times! I was very upset and didn’t know how extensive the damage was and if mold would be an issue. I contacted Scavello Restoration to clean up my basement after a sewage backup. They were able to respond in less than 24 hours and made a horrible situation hassle free. Professional, courteous, and thorough. They were receptive to the fact that many of my belongings were salvageable, fragile and had to be handled with care. They also assisted with the disposal process of the items that were ruined, and that I needed to painstakingly catalog everything for my insurance claim. The clean up was amazing. Highly recommend!

His prices are more than fair, he works _fast_, and hes astoundingly efficient.After a frozen pipe burst in my house, I called Tom on a Saturday night. He came out on a Sunday morning, and had the damage mitigated that same morning. The damage was so extensive, he set me up with a public adjuster who even got the insurance company to more than pay for the damage that took place.When it came time to actually do the repairs, Tom was accomodating of how I wanted to get things done, and he got started within a week.Thank you so much, Tom. Cheapest quote I got out of 4 options, as well.Contacted to fix 2 holes about 4-6 inches in my wall and was patched and painted in 2-3 hours.Was courteous of being careful to not let the cats out, too.Will definitely contact in future for handyman work and definitely recommend.

If you have any type of water damage, you’ve found the right people. Last week my basement was flooded with water from a sump pump failure. I called Scavello Restoration and Tom was at my front door in less than 45 min. Tom was able to figure out exactly what happened in a matter of minutes. I then called my insurance agent and Tom got to work. He had all the carpet, padding, and water out of my basement in about 3.5 hours. All the fans and dehumidifiers were also setup. The next day Tom installed a new sump pump (which he didn’t have to do) and also cut the bottom of the dry wall to check for mold. A couple days later he promptly showed up to remove all the fans and dehumidifiers before the insurance adjuster showed up. During the evaluation, my insurance adjuster even commented on how well of a job Tom did. He said that most companies can destroy dry wall and that Tom’s work was very professional. I was lucky I had insurance to cover all my damages but even if I didn’t I feel like Tom and Scavello Restoration would have been the right choice to make. I will be recommending Scavello to all my friends and family. I even gave his card to my insurance agent so that he can recommend Scavello to his clients. I had a terrible water leak back at the end of June. It destroyed 3 floors of my house. I had never dealt with something like this. I found Scavello Restoration online and Tom came out the very next day. He did the dry out the day after that. He was quick and efficient. I live in an HOA community so the road to getting my claim paid took 6 months. Tom was super helpful to me with this process as well. Finally this past November I got the go ahead to fix the damage. Tom came out the next week and started the renovation. He did everything in 2 weeks. It was a lot to do and I asked Tom to do a few extras things around my house that were not part of the leak and he did them all for me. I truly lucked out with Tom. My first experience with something like this and Tom was so helpful and patient with me. I would recommend him to anyone who needs work done. I will definitely use Scavello Restoration in the future. We had a pipe burst on Christmas morning. We contacted several companies to come out to assist us for a week. Not 1 company bothered to even return our messages!!! Scavello Restoration came to our aid!!!! Spoke with Tom and he came out within a very reasonable time frame. Professional, got right to work, explained everything to us, removed part of walls, treated for mold, left equipment in our home to dry out walls as well as left commercial size dehumidifiers!! Not only was he super fast in answering my first inquiry regarding painting my new home, he met me within a few hours of that phone call for an estimate, and in less than a week from that first meeting the job was complete. Our water heater had leaked and completely soaked our carpets on the downstairs in our Carriage House. I called Tom after finding his name through a Google search and he came within 2 hours and started the extraction of water and carpets and floorboards immediately. We had Scavello complete the entire repairs which included drying the beams, replacing floorboards, tiles and carpets along with plastering and painting the walls and ceiling. I cant say enough positive things about Scavello Restoration! We recently had a pipe burst on our roof deck which flooded the entire house and destroyed 4 stories of hardwood floors. About a month ago we had leak from our bathroom going into the garage (directly below it). We were unsure what caused the leak or what we would need to do to fix it. We contacted Scavello Restoration for an estimate and were really impressed with Toms experience, ability to explain the options and professionalism and decided to work with them on our issue. Tom was able to identify the cause of the leak and provide us with good solution in order to fix and prevent the leak from occurring again. He had to open the ceiling, remove the insulation, and took care to make sure everything was cleaned up and disposed of properly before he left. He was prompt/on-time and communicative through out the process so we understood what was going on/needed which we really appreciated. He took the time and care to make sure the job was done correctly (contrary to our experience w/some other contractors). We would HIGHLY recommend Scavello Restoration for any work you may need done. Bonus- He was also very reasonably priced as well!

I am writing this review as a gesture for the great work that Tom and his son had done at my home when we had a water damage to our basement. The carpet was smelling bad and dont know what needs to be done. It was an instinct to call Scavello restoration for someone to come and take a look for an estimate. Tom was prompt in coming to our home and suggested what needs to be done and how much time it would be needed take to get the stuff out from the basement. He was very reasonable in pricing that other established companies and it helped us as we were running very tight on our budget. When we said yes, Tom and his son came over the next morning and completed the clean up of our basement meticulously and with great finesse. With his knowledge on when, where and how it needs to be done was highly commendable and appreciative. Earlier this month my business suffered a very bad roof leak that caused a lot of water damage to the inside of my building. My wife found Tom Scavellos company online and I called them at 11:30 pm. The phone was actually answered and an emergency appointment was made for the next morning. Tom showed up promptly and went right to work. We had to shut down our business for three days while Tom extracted all the water, used his numerous dryers and dehumidifiers, and eventually put up about 100 new ceiling tiles so that we could open. It was the first time I ever observed tarps placed on a ceiling with tubing for drains to capture and remove rain water still coming in from the roof! During this whole stressful ordeal, Tom was professional, polite, and extremely good at his job. As a retired U.S. Special Agent, it became quickly apparent to me that Tom was a stand up guy and business owner who takes pride in his company and reputation. Who knew a pressurized hose bursting in our laundry room could lead to so much chaos? By the time we discovered this catastrophic water event we had extensive damage to adjoining bedroom, hallway, and worst of all a finished basement. Not enough stars to give the rating he deserves. Tom was recommended years ago by a public adjuster after major flooding (Hurricane Irene). Well a month ago a tree fell on our house & the public adjuster again contacted Tom. It was just peace of mind knowing he would handle the entire water issue promply & effeciently. He showed up the next morning with air blowers, air scrubbers & dehumidifiers. Within less than an hour the house was on its way back to being retored. Wouldnt you know it the house was hit was a flash flood 2 weeks later. Again Tom was contacted, and it was just amazing to watch how quickly he and crew cleaned the entire site. If you ever feel lost in water damage situation, you can feel confident contacting Scavello Restoration - I did & would certainly do it again.

We cant say enough good things about Scavello Restoration. We came home from vacation Thursday night to find our finished basement flooded from heavy thunderstorms the previous night. Unable to get any of the larger restoration companies to come quickly, we found Scavello Restoration on the Internet. Tom arrived early the next afternoon and did a great job drying out our basement. He was very careful to limit the damage, saving our wall-to-wall carpet and as much baseboard and wallboard as possible while still getting the job done, as well as taking away all the debris.

I needed a bunch of towel bars, mirrors, and bi-fold closet doors hung, new dryer vent installed, and a door planed down. AND I needed it in a HURRY! My husband promised a tenant he would do it soon, and soon extended waaay too long. Tenant was super unhappy. I called Tom, just from looking up people online. I think it was a God-thing: one call, Tom answered, was able to show up the next day, gave me a very fair price, showed up not just on time, but a few minutes early, then did EVERYTHING that was needed. He was super knowledgeable. He was careful (wore shoe covers in the house to protect the rugs), incredibly efficient, had good suggestions for the job. His work was neat and precise. I would hire him again in a minute for any job that he was willing to accept. After we left, tenant texted me and was absolutely delighted with everything! The drywall and paint that needed to be replaced looks like new (about a 30 x 2 section). The cost of repairs were reasonable (actually less than I expected, but in line with what the insurance adjuster predicted).

Tom Scavello was literally an angel on Christmas Day. We entered the house and found that a broken water meter had flooded the entire house. We immediately contacted our insurance company to file a claim. After about 20 minutes of answering questions while water was pouring out of the leak, we asked the insurance company who they could recommend us to call or if there was someone they worked with. To my surprise, I was told that they had no one to call and l should just get someone on my own. So here are my husband and I making calls trying to find someone who would pick up the phone on Christmas. Of course water was continuing to spew from the water meter during all this. We found Tom who came out within an hour of our conversation - remember this was Christmas Day. He came completey preparped to take care of the situation. He brought all the necessary equipment, set it up and cleaned up before he left the house. We literally dont know what we would have done without him. He came back every day after that to check on the progress and constantly kept us in the loop. We would recommend him to anyone without hesitation.

Very good experience. Called at approximately 11pm due to a storm causing water to leak through the foundation of our house. Scavello indicated that someone would be out between 8am and 10am the next day and arrived at the earlier end of that range. Pulled up a small amount of flooring, tested other areas, and deployed industrial dehumidifiers and air movers for three days to prevent any further damage or mold. Was not inexpensive but the service was quick, efficient, very friendly, and effective.

I had called multiple repair/restoration companies but Tom was the first to get back to me so I want to thank him for his quick response. Once everything was approved by my insurance, he replaced the damaged drywall and insulation and then painted my entire apartment. The place looks even better than it did prior to the damage now that it all has a fresh coat of paint. My only qualm is that the repairs did take longer than I anticipated (my family and friends were rather surprised by how long the process was taking) so that is why I am giving 4 instead of 5 stars. That being said, Tom knows what he is doing and does good work so I would definitely recommend Scavello Restoration.
