2nd time we’ve had to turn to Classic Plumbing this year for different issues. Both times, we received a call before the assigned technician was to arrive and both times the technician showed up within a half hour.We’ve had the same plumber, Jeff, for both plumbing issues. He fast, thorough and explains what needs to be done so I was kept up to speed the entire time. He didn’t look to upsell any services, just tackled the problem at hand. He’s also extremely friendly and professional.I’d have no problem ever reaching out to Classic Plumbing for any future problems. If I ever need them again, I hope I get to have Jeff come out once again.

Replaced ball valve to main water service as well as ball valve to outside hose bib. And added a new valve box. They seemed to do a good job and their cost was MUCH Less than other quotes. $190 an hour for a crew of 2 is not bad ($290 on weekends). I dug out the valves and they did the rest on a Monday in just 1.5 hours ($460 total including parts - other quotes for doing the work on a Saturday were $2000, $1700 and 1365). Even if doing the digging cost an hour, Classics price would have been $650 (and even doing the work on a weekend would have cost about $800, including digging). Surprisingly good savings from our other quotes. Recommend.

Our tankless electric water heater stopped working.The OTHER companies: I had two OTHER Plumbing Companies come out to try to resolve the issue. Neither could resolve the issue and did not have skills to install a new tankless electric. They even recommended I go back to a tanked water heater!ENTER CLASSIC PLUMBING: The water heater manufacturer recommended I reach out to Classic Plumbing. Jeff B, service tech, came out and was able to resolve my issue on the first visit. He was extremely knowledgeable, performed excellent work, and left the area nicer than he found it. His technical expertise and customer service (nice human!) were outstanding. We will be calling Classic for all our future plumbing needs! Thank you Jeff B. and Classic!

We use Classic Plumbing regularly in our business, they are a good company and for the most part have great service, it depends on what tech you get to come out. We have had them out twice this week due to a toilet issue left by a customer. This issue is still not resolved so I called back and learned they close at 3 on Friday and it would cost me $290 an hour at 3 on Friday. I dont like that but it is what it is, what I do not like is their representative yelling at me and hanging up on me. When I asked for his name, he refused to give it to me. Unacceptable.Update: This review was in the heat of the moment and I thought I had deleted it but Google will not allow me to for some reason. We have used Classic for 10 years and even though this one was a little messy, it did not deserve the rating due to their superior service and quick response they have always given us. I highly recommend Classic, again we have used them for 10 years...

Rest easy knowing youre in good hands with Classic Plumbing. We had a water leak we couldnt find the source of and called their office fearing we had a slab leak. After walking them through our issue, they stated it wasnt likely that bad and theyd get right out (which they did). They called 30 minutes ahead to verify wed be there, and within 5 minutes of checking everything out found our culprit with minimal invasiveness. Our technician walked us through the problem and what he did to rectify it, and they were true to their price from the quote. Quick, clean, professional and very personable. I hope I dont have to use them again, but as a homeowner that knows all too well things break when you least expect Ill have them on speed dial. I highly recommend you do the same!

My other local guys I use don’t service mckinney anymore and they mentioned classic pluming in Plano. Not an endorsement but just mentioned them. I checked the reviews and your going to see good abs bad with any reviews but they looked good. Called and got a fair flat rate price to install new water heater. Riley came and was VERY professional and did a great job! We weren’t up to code I guess and he did a bunch of work we didn’t talk about to get us up to code I guess. Still same price I was quoted. I could not be happier with classic plumbing they will be getting ALL my plumbing work from here on. Highly recommend!!! A+++

Having met the owners Son (Dillon) a few months prior, I had a plumbing situation arise that needed professional attention. I called on a Friday afternoon, and the first available appointment was Tuesday. I confirmed the appointment.I received a phone call on Tuesday informing me that the gentleman would arrive in 15 minutes. Once the plumber arrived, I showed him the two problems: 1 - Replace Moen valve cartridge (guest bathroom) 2 - Replace Moen valve cartridge in Master shower. A straightforward repair that some people might even opt to do themselves.Starting with the guest bathroom, the gentleman could not get the cartridge released from the valve. The supplied removal tool broke because the cartridge was seized in the valve. After working at it for 45 minutes the gentleman called one of the other plumbers (who happened to be nearby) to stop over and attempt to break the cartridge loose. He was successful after about 15 minutes, allowing the original plumber to put a new valve cartridge in. While the original plumber was completing the guest bathroom, the second plumber started on the Master shower valve. That valve was also seized, but after (roughly 30 minutes) he was able to remove it. After replacing the cartridge, he cleaned up the area. They turned on the main water and tested their work. A few little adjustments later, both problems were completed and solved.In reality, the entire job start to finish was roughly 2 1/2 hours.I was presented with the total cost via an iPad screen, and it was $626.58. This was a very costly repair. I was not presented an invoice or a cost breakdown. I was told that the paid invoice was going to be emailed (which was not possible - since, they did not have my email address) or physically mailed to the house.Long story short, I paid the bill and have not received a copy of the final PAID invoice.I am not sure the cost breakdown but, each cartridge (retail) goes for $50 - $60 as long as it is OEM parts. So, $120 in parts and $506.58 for labor (obviously, there is some tax that can be subtracted, lets say $40.) So, what is the labor cost per hour, guessing, $186 (give or take a little).At the end of the day the problem was repaired, the gentlemen cleaned up after themselves, and it was pleasant.However, the cost of the repair was a bit higher than I anticipated. I never saw or received a copy of the invoice, and I had budgeted/anticipated $400-$450 (maximum) for this type of repair.My advice, when scheduling a repair service, make sure you understand what the company anticipates the repair costs are, ahead of making the confirmed appointment. Also, only pay a bill that has been itemized, and require a physical receipt left behind at the end of the transaction.

He laid out a game plan, took great photos, explained things very well, and was able to get a diagnosis of what turned out to be a much bigger job than I hoped (due to plumbing done prior to me living here that wasnt up to code), then came back the next day to get it all done in short order so I didnt stay on the clock needlessly for after-hours rate. Awesome and honest people. Called Tuesday night and got clear pricing and a time frame to complete the work. Called back Wednesday and once again was met by a nice and honest person who scheduled an easy appointment (even warned me about overtime hours after 4pm when most wouldve let me find out when it was time to pay). Plumber was Alex, super helpful and fixed my issue in 15min. Went so far as to even look at my hot water heater and give me fair pricing and honest feed back about what to look/listen for. They have my business from here on out, period.Update- had Ken out last week to install a new water heater and hook up a new bathroom vanity & faucet. Ken was here before 8 ready to work and had eveything complete by 12. Amazing service yet again. The City of Plano came out today for the inspection and said they shouldnt even have to inspect the work of Classic Plumbing because its the best in the area.

I have happily been using Classic Plumbing since the 80s and had them out again today to clear a clogged line. They sent a kid :-) named Riley who unquestionably is the most conscientious and well mannered worker that anyone has sent to my home/s from any type of maintenance service. I am 72, so that represents about a zillion service personnel over the years. He not only cleared the leak in a timely manner, but cleaned up everything and helped me move my item back to where they belong. Classic Plumbing needs to give him a raise as he represents one of their better advertisements.

First plumber with other company had to breakout the concrete to fix a leak. Well on reinstall the standing pipe was at a angle which made the toilet uneven. After endless calls trying to get orginal plumber out i gave up and called Classic Plumbing.They thought they had to rip everything out and start over. Luckily they were able to make something work. Toilet is installed and level.The guy that came out was young looking but was very smart, and had good energy.Best part about Classic Plumbing was the communication. Called up, they explained how rates work, got appointment next day, they called 15mins ahead of appointment. The plumber communicated very well through out the work.

Just recently, our main sewer drain was clogged between the house and street. Classics employee Malik arrived in less than two hours. He was courteous, well-spoken, and did the job quickly. I first used Classic around 8-9 years ago when I needed a new hot water heater. Since then Ive used them 5-6 times for traditional plumbing repairs and upgrading builder-grade water valves, etc. Their guys are fast and efficient, and usually get the job done in less than an hour.

I called classic in a panic and dispatch was very calm, (like a 911 dispatcher), which calmedMe down. They were able to in very short order to diagnose the problem. The technician, Ricky, was very professional and thorough in diagnosing the problem. He was very methodical leaving no stone unturned until he was satisfied he knew what was happening. The response time is what impressed me the most. I had called two companies before calling them this morning and within 1 hour, the first tech was here. Once he explained to me what the issue was (and showed me), he explained another tech would be by and bring the part needed. He was very nice. As within another hour, the second tech came in and fixed it. Will most definitely use them again if needed, and refer them to anyone I know who does.

Leaky water shut-off outside in flower bed. Malik McClemore at Classic Plumbing did an outstanding job on a difficult and dirty job. He was professional, courteous and really knew his stuff. Now everything is fixed and NO LEAKING!Malik even returned the next morning to put some extra finishing touches on things. Riley brought his 100 ft long Spartan electric drain cleaning machine to my residence and solved my problem. But not without trouble that required extra work and diagnosis. From his call 5-20 minutes before showing up I was favorably impressed with Riley because of the respectfulness of his phone and upon his personal greeting when arriving. At 76 years it is rare to hear the work Sir, not just once or twice but often and I believe sincere. Riley was not put off by me looking over his shoulder. I learned a lot about unplugging stopped sewage lines from observation as well as conversation as I asked him questions about his work. Once Riley had run the cable all the way in and out he flooded that drain line with water and observed water rising in the commode drain. So Riley went back outside and moved the Spartan a foot or so closer to the cleanup and ran the cable/cutter in full length again. When it was fully inserted he back then backed the cable in and out many times about a foot, also moving he Spartan back and forth so as to grab whatever trash and hardened mud he possibly could to break it loose. After doing the best he could and with the thought in mind that it might be necessary to send for another machine that could be piggy backed to the first Spartan, he went back inside and turned on all the hot water he could from two showers and two vanity sinks that discharge into this primary sewage line. That did the job. For 20-30 minutes after Riley left I kept the hot water running and the drain continued to operate without stopping up again. Riley had to put extra physical effort into the job also. I was at first concerned that he might hurt himself because of the size and weight of the Spartan. But he has learned to man handle the machine from previous use and with leverage he unloaded and reloaded the machine by himself without any assistance. My blessings upon Riley for such a good job and to Classic for employing and training an excellent worker. I will call for Riley when I have other work. Ronnie McGinnis

I called this morning at 9 am when I saw water leaking and some buckling of ceramic tiles in my bathroom. I also explained that my water cut off was only the main at the street. They were more than willing to stay on phone and walk me through how to turn it off, put me on the schedule and said they would reach out to their guys to see who could get to me and when. They called me in advance. Chris showed up, and was extremely professional. He was thorough and explained all his findings. I have a leak but it’s so smallIt’s almost undetectable and it is not harmful at this point he could’ve said we need to pullUp all your bathroom floor and find this leak, paring me thousands of dollars, but he chose to be an honest professional person and go through all the scenarios, then have me their first time customer discount! I will be using this company in the future and posting on our Nextdoor app. Cheers to an honest company that doesn’t embellish to make a buck. Because in my mind I felt i was going to spend at least a grand today but I spent under 175.00 and he fixed the fill valve thing in my toilet that was another issue!

This morning we discovered water pouring out on the garage floor from under trim wood adjacent to the water heater closet. The heater pan was dry with no signs of a leaking water heater. I called Classic Plumbing and within an hour Jeff arrived. He carefully evaluated all possible sources of the leak and after one hour of detective work and with the most minimal cosmetic damage found a pinhole leak at a solder joint in the wall behind one of the heaters. He carefully drained the pipes, and somehow like a magician was able to solder in a new section of pipe without further enlarging the hole. The care he took to prevent damage to the house and his master plumber expertise were critical in fixing this very difficult water leak.Thank you Jeff for your conscientious expert repair,Ron.

Classic Plumbing was very easy to deal with throughout the entire process. I was provided quotes for both the job and materials needed and asked in advance if it would be all right for them to use some of their own material rather than purchase everything from Home Depot. Their 2 plumbers arrived on time, were polite and professional, then quickly determined what was causing the leak that was coming from my bulkhead. They fixed the problem, cleaned up after themselves, replaced a couple of caulking tubes so they dont leak again (at no additional cost), and left me with a bill that was exactly as detailed in their quote. If a situation arises where I need a plumber again, I will have Classic Plumbing at the top of my list as the plumber in Plano.

My water heater died. It was 18 years old. I was not interested in trying to revive it. Classic Plumbing was recommended by my nephew who is a general contractor, but doesnt live in this area anymore. I called Classic at 8 AM and told them I needed a new water heater and Riley, the plumber was here that afternoon to remove the old and install the new. No glitches. I was charged exactly what I was quoted over the phone. Riley showed me the safety features and answered all my questions. He was very knowledgeable and professional. My nephew assured me that what they charged me was definitely a reasonable fee. I am very happy with my experience with Classic Plumbing. I will use them again if I have any other plumbing issues.

While wrapping an outdoor spigot in preparation for freezing temperatures I needed to remove a hose that had been left on the spigot. As it was stuck, I used a wrench to remove; however, as the hose was so stuck and the spigot so old the spigot broke off the side of the house. You can imagine my concern when late in the afternoon on Saturday, with darkness and freezing temperatures about to set in, I was standing there with water pouring out of the side of the house and me covered in water. I couldnt figure out how to shut off the water at the street and didnt want to make things worse by accidentally causing damage to that pipe.I called a plumber Id used many times in the past but could not reach anyone. I quickly searched online and thank God for Classic Plumbing being the first search result. I called and a friendly voice answered, I explained the emergency, that water was pouring out of the house and temperatures were about to go below freezing. He let me know a tech was just finishing up and would be on the way. The tech arrived quickly and turned off the water at the street. He explained the different options. He advised it would be best to cap the broken pipe immediately and then come back to complete the job during the week as it would be much more cost effective. I appreciated his honesty and transparency. He got the cap done quickly. He was friendly, professional and genuinely concerned (as was the person who took the original call). I look forward to the final work being completed when temperatures warm up and recommend Classic Plumbing.As this was all happening, I was in prayer to God for good to come out of this situation. It certainly did as once all is complete the new water spigot will be better than the old one, I got to meet two new people and got to spend some time with my brother-in-law who came over to help me drain the water away from the side of the house. Im certainly not saying that Classic Plumbing is the only good plumber in the area but I thank God for bringing them to me at this time, as they were the right plumber at the right time.All Glory to God!

Winter Freeze outside faucets. Classic - Jeff came out this fall and I had asked them to put in freeze proof hose bibs, so I didnt have to worry about them freezing and flooding the house. He did the work quickly, avoided taking out the brick by working in the space behind the tub for the back yard hose bib. In the front he took out the old 4 valve set up which the valves didnt work as they are 40 years old and never been operated..This 4 valve setup was the code back then but now illegal without a backflow preventer on the house service. He put in two valves- a ball valve for the house and a ball valve for the hose bib on the front of the house. This was very smart as these 4 old valves were for 1)house supply2)house drain down 3) future sprinkler system -4) hose bib(faucet) on side of house. I now can easily access to shut off the house and not have to go to the meter at the street. I have used Classic Plumbing since I moved to Pitman Creek North in 1986 and cant say enough good things about their whole service business. You get what you pay for in the service business and they are professionals.

I had a mainline clog that despite my best efforts I was unable to clear. I called Classic on a Saturday at 6 and my technician, Gareth, was to my house by 7. He was incredibly fast and very mindful that I was paying weekend rates and worked very efficiently to get the clog cleared. He checked every toilet inside to find the issue, cleared the clog through the main, and took the time to go back through and run all the toilets and drains to make sure things were good. Even while moving quickly from task to task, he took the time to explain things to me that helped me understand both what he was doing and looking for and to better be able to manage issues like this in the future. He also shared some key tips to diagnose problems. This is my second time to use classic (previously used for a gas leak at my outside meter) and I’ll definitely use them again. Simple hourly rate pricing let’s you know what you’re getting in to and the guys have been very conscientious of working efficiently knowing the pricing is by the hour. Thanks!
