Had a great first experience with Hydro-man. We needed an old cast iron sewer line descaled. I called Josh on a Saturday, he answered right away and within a minute I already liked and trusted him. Knowledgeable and very personable, we talked a while and he explained everything to me over the phone. His quote was very reasonable and he was able to come out within a couple of days. I really appreciate the text in the morning letting me know his guys were on the way, as they would be arriving on the early side of the window Josh gave me. Jack and Sam were great too! Very polite and friendly, they didn’t waste any time getting to work and they got the job done much quicker than I was expecting.Excellent customer service, great quality of work, and reasonably priced. Fantastic people to work with! Called Josh who took his time to explain in detail what services they offer. They were at my house diagnosing the problem within a few hours. He allowed us to dig the hole to the drain ourselves to save money and told us to send pictures so he could help us out as we dug it out. Once we had it dug out he came out and replaced the line that week.Absolutely love his company and will be going with hydroman with any future issues. Fantastic family owned business! We have lived in our home for over 10 years and have had issues with our kitchen sink for 10+ years. Multiple plumbers have come out over the years and given us different reasons/solutions, none have worked. Josh requested photos of our pipes and immediately knew the cause and solutions. He explained that our pipes were not to code or properly vented. He came out and replaced the pipes, vented and cleaned the clogs. Amazing work and genuinely nice guys. Josh and his team are wonderful! I had a pool installed recently and Josh hooked up our pool heater! I cannot rave enough on how efficient and satisfactory their service was! As first time pool owners, we have very limited knowledge on what steps to take, but Josh has made the process much smoother and provided amazing advice and recommendations! Also, before anything was done, Josh and his team smelled gas outside our home and called Nicor on my behalf to have them come out to replace our meter and any other parts needed and prevented what could have been a dangerous situation! We have been having problems for years with our showers not getting hot enough (in a 2-unit, 2 BA building). When our recent ABC maintenance appointment came up for our furnaces, we decided to have them check out our showers as well. We were quoted between $4,000 - $5,000.. saying that they needed to pull things out of each shower, take out tile, replace tile, etc etc. We asked a designer friend for a referral to get a 2nd opinion, which led us to Josh. He came out and inspected for $95, and let us know it was a fairly easy fix (replacing cartridges). Turned out the project was only $950 with labor and parts. Now we have two showers with hot water, and a new plumber well be recommended to everyone! Thanks Josh and team.

I spoke with Josh, the owner, who advised me that he just happened to be working in my area on that day, and could come over today. He let me know exactly what he was going to do and what it would cost. He then texted me to notify me that he was on his way, and less than 2hours he was at my door.Josh takes this business seriously, and has clearly invested a lot of money for the right equipment. He explains in detail what needs to be done.He uses truck- mounted equipment that is highly efficient and thorough. He also uses cameras to locate problem areas. Josh recommended a thorough jetting of our lines (expensive but worth it) and recommended using only single ply tissue. He was friendly, eager to explain the situation, and good at cleaning up. I called him today to check the lines a year later (at his suggestion) and he came over promptly and did a camera inspection which he showed to us and things look good. No charge. We are very pleased and would highly recommend him.

We had a complete pipe clog off the kitchen sink. After trying to snake out the issue myself with out success I called in the professionals. I picked Josh randomly from a gut feeling. I’m sure glad I did. I called at 8:30 am and he was booked until afternoon unfortunately we were unavailable. Josh adjusted on the fly and offered up immediate services if we could. We agreed and he arrived exactly when he said 20 minutes later. He quoted me on unplugging a drain pipe over the phone. The issue ended up being way more time consuming in our main sewer pipe. Without questioning he completely fixed the issue without quoted price increase. Even triple checked we were clog free. Josh was a extremely personable guy and gave tips for the future during the process. He even offered 30 day free re-service if anything was to happen. Stand up guy with a stand up business. Our kitchen sink had been clogged and the first plumber we hired said we needed to hire someone to hydro jet our line. I called and requested this service and was so pleased with how quickly I was able to speak with someone and get an appointment and a quote. When they arrived for the appointment they were kind, respectful and knowledgeable. They also determined that I didn’t need the higher priced intervention that the other plumber had recommended, rather they just removed the sink plug that the other plumber had neglected to remove! I found Hydro-Man on Google as I was looking for a company to help unclog my drain tile for my storm drain. The person I spoke with (Josh) was very friendly, personable and professional. He was so honest and was so willing to do the right thing, that referred me to another company, as he was worried that his equipment might be too powerful for the job. Also, after I told him the other work I had to do in the yard (burying downspouts and running new drain tile), it made better sense to refer me so I could get it all done I’m one shot. After calling the referral, I reached back out to Josh at Hydro-Man and let him know his referral was a no-show. Without hesitation, he offered up his time, stating that he would be at my place in the morning around 10am and apologized for the other company. He showed up on time and was extremely personable. He let me know exactly what options he had and the prices for each. He explained everything as he was doing it. Josh being fare and honest, started with the first, less evasive option which ended up working, but not right away. It took several tries and a couple hours. But he saw progress with the first option and did not give up. He pulled a lot of roots, debris and flushed a lot of soot from my drain tile. He was very reasonably priced and extremely fair. I gave him extra because in all honesty, he deserved it. Josh did everything in his power to resolve my issue and exceeded every pre-conceived expectation I had going in. I am wholeheartedly thankful to have a company so fair, trustworthy, honest and good hearted. So I gave him the rundown and suspected he may not be able to get to me for a few days as it was already late in the afternoon. But nope, Josh came out a mere few hours later, post-5pm. So he was already a standup fella in my book, above & beyond my expectations right out the gate.Josh and his right hand man (Jack) were super nice and equally professional. And you could instantly tell Josh is super energetic and equally passionate about what he does. He let me know he had grown up around the plumbing trade and takes great pride as a small business owner. I respect that. Josh then gave me the pros & cons of going the standard rod route versus the more advanced (albeit significantly more costly) hydro-blast/jetting method. I never want to risk anything less than a thorough fix when it comes to sewage, so I opted for the hydro. Josh has top-notch equipment, including an optical camera with LCD display. Kinda felt like I was watching a colonoscopy. Lol. At one point, Josh even acknowledged he can be a little OCD when it comes to the quality of his work. I had called several companies about cleaning downspout drain lines and all had declined service because mine are corrugated plastic. Luckily I found Josh who was happy to come out! He was upfront with his pricing and looked over each line with me seeing which had water flow and which did not. I had several that were clogged but still had flow. He didn’t try to oversell me like many companies do and only addressed the real problems. Upfront pricing, readily available to work in to my schedule, and professional. Josh repaired the toilet in my Mom’s house in Wheaton. Not just a clogged toilet, a clogged toilet from hell. The whole thing was completely backed up and he did it all just himself. Josh and crew saved the day as our main drain line was clogged from tree roots! We’ve been through it a few times now over the years and I was tired of the increasing price from another company, and the pressure from that company to spend thousands of dollars to repair. Hydro-man has better equipment and much more reasonable prices! They came out the same day we called, stayed in communication with us via text until they got here and were very down to earth and professional. Josh was super responsive, came the next day, evaluated the issue (found it wasnt an issue!), snaked a drain, and came back the next day to fix a leaky faucet.He and Sam were great - super polite, efficient, and explained everything very clearly.
