PEP Solar installed an excellent system. They were very thorough from planning and design down to the final installation detail. All of the work was performed professionally and in a very neat and organized manner. PEP Solar was instrumental in breaking through the myriad of requirements to be met for gaining approval from the city permitting department and the power company that serves our area.The install team headed by Mike, along with Jason and Doug, performed their tasks with care and perfection. Goran, the customer service rep, maintained constant contact throughout the process and responded to inquiries usually within minutes of us contacting him.All-in, we are extremely satisfied with the equipment, installation, workmanship and genuine customer service provided by PEP Solar.

Pep Solar were a dream to work with. We had solar panels installed on our rental property in Phoenix and despite us not being there in person, everything including installation, inspections etc were handled with utmost ease only because the communication between us and their team (special shoutout to Goran, Mike and team) were spot on! They made sure that the work is done right the first time round and even adjusted to our guests schedule. Both Goran & Mike were knowledgeable in their domain and answered all questions we had along the way. We also financed the project through them and not only they had the best terms, the process was extremely smooth.I would definitely recommend Pep Solar for your solar panel installation needs and ask for Goran & Mike if possible - they will make your life so much easier through the entirety of the project!

A huge thanks to Pep Solar, Goran (project manager), and Doug (technician). My under warranty Tesla Inverter failed. My original installer, SunUp America, appears to have disappeared off the face of the planet or gone out of business. After calling dozens of solar companies and many conversations with Tesla, Pep Solar was able to perform the warranty work. Goran had Doug deployed to my home faster than expected. Doug troubleshot the issue. At the surface it appeared to be a simple a tripped breaker. Doug’s deeper dive into what caused the issues determined that the onboard fan in the inverter had failed. After reviewing the issue with Tesla, a RMA was issued. Doug let me know it would be 2 to 3 weeks to obtain and then replace the inverter. To my surprise, 10 days after Doug’s initial visit, he was back out with the new inverter. He quickly had the new inverter installed and labeled to my system.Hopefully this inverter will resolve the issue.

They took the time to explain the solar process to me and my wife, and never once made us feel we were taking up to much of their time. My experience with PEP Solar was great! First let me say that I knew nothing about Solar and was educated by Dallas (the sales rep). I was in communication with Sean throughout the experience and even had access to the CEO (Bonnie) whom was quite gracious in assisting the process to go smoothly. We reside in Arizona where we had record temperatures last summer so the process did take some time as I am assuming PEP solar was inundated with customers.In my research I had received 3 bids from various companies and PEP Solar was very competitive in price using better equipment than some others and top rated Enphase micro inverters. The installer and foreman (Mike) was absolutely fantastic and installed the system quickly answering all my questions and told me to call him anytime in the future. Lastly, George (Goran), the project manager was a GREAT point person for us and followed up to make certain the process was completed to our satisfaction! I would highly recommend them and hope to add more to our system in the future.

I wanted to install solar at my new home and one name that kept popping up was PEP Solar. They worked diligently with my general contractor. We had many setbacks to navigate through. Even when there was a problem with local electric company, Sean, Bonnie and team continued helping us and fixed the issue. The electric company elevated them to Preferred Installer status when they saw their work. Very friendly and professional workers. Bottom line they treated my house as it was their own and they made sure I was kept informed throughout the entire process. Thank you Sean, Bonnie and the Pep Solar.***UPDATE*** 2024Needed to get some additional work done so I called Pep Solar and they were right on it. They worked with SRP and the county to the proper permits needed. Goran was a master at navigating this. When it was time for additional installation, Mike, Jason and Doug were top notch in installation. They made sure that I was part communication. Taking time to answer my question was truly a great help. They made sure they took care of me just like before. Thank you Sean, Bonnie, Mike, Jason ,Doug and cant forget Goran. Love my Solar system. I did have power go out and Tesla backup worked flawlessly. Didnt even notice that power was out until I went into other rooms. Wow!!! The way solar and back up should work.

PEP Solar did an excellent job for me to replace my 200A service with a 400A service needed to install a Tesla Powerwall + at my residence. After some initial glitches the project management went well and the install was made to the highest standards. The workmanship was superb, material quality excellent, and the worksite left clean after every day. The system is now up and running and performing well.

In September 2023 my wife and I purchased a solar hybrid mini-split air conditioner. After we paid half down, we were ghosted by the sales and management teams. Finally got through to someone and then that person disappeared. Then received a new account manager. Found out then that the company had no parts and experiencing logistics issues with the supplier. So over six months later we finally have our Unit. I would give the owner and management less. But the install team was awesome! They deserve better than 5 stars and the only reason I’m giving a five star review.

Pep Solar went above and beyond. I have a 10 year warranty on my solar the company went out of business. Was searching for a company that could help me because my inverter went out. Called them up they came out called Solar edge for me got my inverter replaced under my warranty, Then the switch went out a couple days later they called Solar edge got that replaced under warranty. And then both went out they called solar edge got the whole unit replaced. Finally solar edge sent out a new unit. Keep in mind he came out 3 times. And did not charge me a penny more. Great customer service I would totally recommend PEP solar

This is what I want from a solar provider,excellent installer and the ability to check the system and keep it in tip top condition. My solar system was purchased from and installed by a competitor of PEP Solar. The original vendor of our solar system jerked us around for more than 7 months when trying to get them to remove and reinstall our system to allow us to repair our roof due to issues unrelated to the solar installation. The original installer finally responded with a quote that was extremely high. I approached numerous solar companies trying to get assistance and finally found PEP Solar. Not only did PEP Solar respond immediately but their quote was half of all competing bids.During my search for help I checked with the BBB and Registrar of Contractors and discovered PEP Solar has been in business for years and has a great track record.if I could give PEP Solar 10 Stars I would. First off, since they did not sell or install the system they insisted I notify the original company to let them know the removal and reinstallation would be completed by PEP Solar. They then worked with our roofer to ensure we had our solar system removed and reinstalled on dates as promised. Their team was professional and wasted no time in completing their work. I doubt Ill need more work on my solar system but if I do I will NOT be using the original company who designed and installed it but I WILL use PEP Solar if the need arises. Bottom line, if youre planning on installing a solar system give these guys a shot.

Very happy with my PV system from PEP Solar. I have had my system installed for about 2 years now, and I am returning to PEP for other ways to increase the energy efficiency of my home.Working with Sean, I found him to be very patient in answering all of my questions from the original install, and he was very thorough and professional throughout the process. And I had a lot of questions. The installation crew was also professional and efficient. I had one small issue with a panel communication, and PEP came back to fix it immediately (within 2 days). I have had no problems since.Now that I have a couple of years under my belt, I am now looking at other options to move forward with green investments.I would recommend PEP to any friends and family interested in reducing their carbon footprint and investing in the future.

We were very pleased with PEP Solar agreeing to remove and replace our solar panels, so we could replace our shingled roof, as the original installer couldnt get to the job for at least 5 more months. The crew showed up on time and were very professional. It was obvious from the time they showed up that they knew their work. They were familiar with the process to disconnect the breakers and inverters prior to the work and took care to store the panels properly for re-installation. If we had any questions, they took the time to answer them without hesitation. They worked together as a team both on the removal and the install. We would recommend them highly to anyone in need of solar work.

Energy Independence!!!The Pep Solar team is a great asset to the Arizona Community. We contracted Pep Solar to install a Tesla PowerWall at our residential property. Each member of the team was helpful and informative; we are so happy to now have a trusted source for our Solar and Battery Backup needs. Pep Solar seamlessly took care of all the permits and necessary documentation making the entire process a cinch. The onsite install team especially proved to exceed our expectations with thoroughness and customer attentiveness. The Tesla PowerWall (Battery Backup System) now works in conjunction with our previously installed solar panel system and the APS electric grid. We are no longer subjected to random APS electric grid failures and now our Solar Panels are functioning to supply our house power whenever the sun is shining! PEP solar has been amazing to work with from the top executives to the workers on our roof! We build a nearly 16 kWh system that is running beautifully. We are heading into town ur first full summer producing more energy than last year! Yes there were a few issues there always are but it’s how PEP solar handles those issues. The staff is amazing treating us like we were there only customer, more like family. We couldn’t be happier. Yes solar is expensive but we are so happy this is the best investment we’ve made!!

Im sure most of their jobs go smoother than mine, but no other company puts solar panels on a North roof superstructure framework that I could find, since the South roof didnt have that much exposed square footage potential due to architectural features, and other special circumstances. There were some ins and outs, but the highly skilled guys at PEP turned every corner with goodwill, and in the end brought in the results hoped for in the original proposal put together by Dallas S. Thanks to the always ready to discuss the issues Mike G., and Sean, and good work Diane, Mike A. and crew.

The team at Pep Solar is awesome. We did a lot of research on different solar companies before deciding to go with Pep Solar and we are glad we did. Even today they still surprise me. Not sure if your solar company will review monthly electric bills and make sure that everthing is operarting the way it should. Pep Solar does. Sean at Pep Solar is always there to answer any questions or any concerns that you have regarding your bills and even making sure the electric company has you on the correct plan so you get the most out of you solar. Its one thing to have a great experience getting you solar installed but having the follow up on after the fact is priceless. You hear all the horror stories from a lot of the other solar companies out there. So before you go with another company, you need to check out Pep Solar. Do your research, the oldest solar company in AZ, that says a lot.

PROPS to PEP Solar!!!4 years ago we had PEP Solar install solar panels on our roof. At the time I was very worried because our house was 20 years old and our red tile roof had never received any kind of service. I told PEP Solar at the time I did not want to move forward with the project because I felt at some point in the near future the roof would need to have the underlayment replaced. 20+ year Old Home in Arizona with a red tile roof = Significant Roof repair will be needed soon.Pep Solar told me not to worry and they would, one time only, remove and replace the solar panels IF the roof needed repair in the future. Ultimately this was added to our contract.As it turns out, in the last storm our roof started leaking and sure enough, to repair properly, all of the solar panels need to come down and then go back up. One roofer told us they would provide that service for $150 per panel, YIKES!I reached out to PEP Solar and they said, Yes, they would honor their contract and only asked for about a 30 day lead time so they could schedule a crew accordingly; all we had to do was provide a place to store the panels during the work. (Hello Garage!)Props to PEP Solar for honoring their contract as well as the original install and everything in between. PEP has been amazing to work with. The staff was friendly, professional always on time and on budget.Before solar we paid almost $4,000 a year to APS. Since Solar installed, less than $800 a year. 8 out of 12 months our APS bill is ZERO with a credit applied to the bill for the super hot four months of summer.The project was not inexpensive to install. I figure an 8 year, ROI but after that we are on the sunny side...pun intended.I could not more highly recommend PEP Solar if you are considering solar panels for your roof and I would add, the panels work.

This entire crew, company, including Diane in the office, represent outstanding knowledge, professionalism, and courtesy. This is an interesting review to write as there were many things about working with PEP Solar that were great.., and a couple others that were not. Their Sales Rep (Dallas) was instrumental in getting us to choose them in the first place. His ability to explain the options, process, financial advantages and disadvantages, and in general helping us to understand the current state of Solar in the state was impressive. We had been thinking about Solar for a long time.., but were frequently unable to get comfortable with the basics. (5⭐️)Once we signed the contract… they try to use an automated system called Bodhi to communicate status. It is a complete waste of time and or resources. It provides no usable information and adds confusion to the process. (0 ⭐️)We eventually reached back out to Dallas to get status updates.., and he referred us to someone else. Maybe because they think their automated system works they appear to have no single point of contact for the project. I assume David was that person, but it was not clear until close to the end of the project. Over the course of several months I heard from a number of people when I would have inquiries. None were clear about their role. And… if you call the number you get an answering machine that never identifies who you are leaving a message for… it gives you a 4 digit number that is never referenced anywhere else… so it is very disconcerting to leave a message when it feels as if it is going into a black hole. (3 ⭐️).We originally thought this was an 8 week process. In reality with the City, APS, and PEP Solar in the mix… it was actually closer to 5 months. We signed in July, with an install the last week of Dec. It also cost us an additional $4600 because we found out if we didn’t move our wall to the back of the property line, we would have to pay an additional $10,000 to move the electrical panel so that APS would have unrestricted access. This was above and beyond the $5000 we were quoted for upgrading the electrical panel from 200 to 400 amp service (which is not required for all Solar projects). To me it seems like even though they indicated this was an APS requirement, it seems like something they should have known and been able to communicate at the time of signing the contract so there would be no surprises.Justin who did the site visits, electrical panel install, and some prep work was outstanding. (5⭐️)Mike A who was the on-site Solar install manager was outstanding. (5⭐️)And Good Leap who provides the financing for the project was easy to work with and efficient. (5⭐️)We would definitely still choose PEP Solar and would not hesitate to recommend them to our friends. We just would give them a couple of “things to expect or watch for”.We should know within a few months if the system is sized correctly to offset the majority of our electric bill from APS which is what we are trying to achieve.

PEP did a fantastic job. Zach and Dale made me promise I would not advertise twelve days from sales pitch to installation and connected to the grid. Clearly several factors worked in our favor: 1) quick 24-hour response from our HOA; 2) cancellation of an install so we could slip into an unexpected slot on the schedule; 3) Encore allowing the system to be connected to the grid; and 4) a good credit rating.Sales staff and the PEP engineer explained everything to my satisfaction. Im an electrical engineer and asked more in-depth questions than what the PEP team typically encounters. I had also done independent research on hours of sunlight per day in my location and efficiency that should be realized from the system. The predictions from PEP are turning out to be accurate.We actually worked some of the final signatures from a cruise ship in the Caribbean. Technology is great! Bethany Carreiro deserves praise as we were texting to redirect docusign emails to me in the Caribbean. She was consistently courteous, attentive, and professional.The install team showed up at the appointed time and with all necessary materials. I believe there were actually six installers and they worked quickly and efficiently while protecting our home from any damage. Two electricians make quick work of installing the inverter and getting the solar system connected to the grid. Everything was explained thoroughly. Everyone cleaned up all trash and carried it away.I would strongly recommend PEP to anyone considering installing a solar system. PEP is much more than a business. PEP quickly becomes family.

I will start by saying that my Pep Solar system has saved my wife and I thousands of dollars since installed 8 years ago. For that Pep should get 5 Stars. However, there are unresolved issues that dont allow me to give a 5 Star review.The first and most important issue is the device that is supposed to allow me to monitor my solar panels. It doesnt work and we are flying blind, so to speak, because we have no way to monitor our panel production. I was told by Bonnie of Pep Solar that the company that made the monitor, Mage Solar either doesnt exist anymore, or that no one backs the warranty for this component (Im a little confused as to what the issue is). She said, via her son, that they could replace this monitor, but that it would also require replacing a component on each of the panels... And that I would need a budget of about $8000+ to address this issue. (REALLY?! What good is the so-called warranty that you provided me?)So Im sort of stuck. I believe that I have a 30 warranty for this entire system... But Pep Solar tells me that there is nothing they can do for me since Mage is, (I guess), gone. This is very discouraging. Why should we have to fork out $8000+ on what is supposed to be a fully warrantied system?Besides that HUGE issue, I wont go into ALL of the problems that we encountered getting the system operational. It was a three week nightmare to say the least... But I digress....So I give 4 stars because my electric bills are low. In fact, there was about two years where my bill could have been lower... But half of the system, as it turned out, was not working due to a poorly installed cable splice that left us without production. It took APS and Bonnie and me to figure out the issue. When the techs arrived they thought theyd have to check each panel. I encouraged them to check the two cable runs first... at the junction box. I have an electrical background, and it seemed to obvious place to start since our estimated production was about 50% off. Sure enough, thats where the problem was. Poor workmanship by the lead installer, Jeff, caused that issue... according to the guys that fixed it (I was told that Jeff was no longer with the company). In fact, during the three weeks it took to install the system, he left the Mage component that is no longer working laying on the ground in front of my house. I found it after it had been laying there a few days.I could expand SOOOOO MUCH further... But I wont. Lets just say Im glad for future customers that I was told that you have technicians that take more pride in their work now.Suffice to say, our experience with Pep Solar left us with:1) A system that is saving us significant money... YAY! 😁2) A system that we have no way to monitor 😡3) A warranty that cant be applied because we cant see whats happening as far as production🙄4) An estimate of $8000+ to remedy the monitoring concerns 🤬I wish I could give Pep Solar 5 Stars... But Ive basically been told that they cant help me, despite the warranty... and that really stinks. Shawn, or whoever responds to this, how about digging a little deeper to remedy this issue. You are a big, long standing solar company. And I have been fair, in fact generous in this overall assessment of my experience with Pep Solar. Ive even given you 4 out of 5 Stars despite the issues. My panels were installed back in 2009 by a different installer than Pep, the panels were from an internationally known maker.They stopped working a few years ago so I was recommended a solar expert to investigate & we contacted the maker.The original installer had gone out of business.We were asked countless times for different info & tons of photos from the maker. Mr EXPERT was up there for many hours & many trips.It cost me quite a bit of $$$ & finally Mr.Expert said you are wasting your money & Im wasting my time. It is obvious the manufacturer is not willing to be professional to help despite the fact you are under warranty, they are giving you the run around Fast forward to last week, I was referred to Sean & Bonnie Katz who I had met unfortunately after my system had been purchased .They were recommended to come & investigate the issue which is a service they now offer given the amount of people like my self who are left high & dry as shady & fly by nighters went out of business.Initially I was not to pleased with the charge to come take a look given I had almost spent $1,000.00 on Mr. Expert (NOT their fault).2 Techs arrived, were up on the roof for about 40 mins & came back down to report & show me photos of the wires a rat had gobbled on putting out the whole system. Within a short time they had the system fully functional again.Needless to say I was more than happy with the charge given that I was told by Mr.Expert I needed a new system.There is a saying that when you buy cheap you cry every day, when you buy quality you only cry once.I didnt cry at all using the team at Pep Solar.They have been in service since the eighties, 100% recommendation from me.

I searched solar companies for a few months, before making a decision, and had proposals from several of them. I found Cory to be knowledgeable and honest without the typical high pressure sales I felt from others. I worked for Carrier in my last career and understand A/C, energy and load-shedding equipment and had several questions along the way. Cory & Sean addresses all my questions to my satisfaction.I selected PEP solar to install the solar system (8.4kW) and found them to be upfront, honest and forthright. The approval process from City, HOA, APS, etc took longer than I expected (approx. 2 months), but I understand the backlog & type of people assigned to these tasks. PEP handled all the approvals, supplying architectural drawings and product sheets to all the interested parties for approval.The installation crew was great. I live on a golf course and was concerned about the monsoon winds rushing up the fairway and ripping the panels off the roof. The winds are so strong they have blown my patio furniture (heavy pieces) into the pool on occasion. Mike, the crew manager assured me they mount the rails every 4 vs 6 like other installers. The panels have been installed now for nearly 4 weeks and it seems to have sustained the last two monsoon rains & wind.The final approval and notice that the system can be turned on comes after APS resets the meters which can take another two weeks or so. Mike shortened that time by taking a photo of the meters and electrical system and posted it to APS. I had final turn-on approval in a few days.I might also add, they have several payment plans & financing arrangements. I opted for buying the system in cash, but took a loan from Green Sky for the amount equal to the Federal & State rebates. This is a great loan that carries NO interest for 18 months. I have time to claim the deductions next April and payoff the loan within the 18 month period with no interest due. A sweet deal! My accountant also tells me I can carry over any unused deduction from solar installation if I dont use it all this year.Thanks PEP Solar Team: Cory, Sean, Mike & Bri for making my decision easy, the process painless, the quality system affordable and the ongoing support. My system was turned on Aug 4. In the past two weeks (less than 2 actually), My system has produced 675.06kW. At this rate of power production, my return on investment may be a lot shorter than I originally thought. Cheers!

It was a little bit of a rocky start due to rate changes and switching from one brand of solar panels to another. But that was something completely outside of their control they found me the best panels which even turned out to be so efficient that I needed fewer panels to get the energy generation that I needed to have. They stuck with me until the job was done and I was up and running Ed even came back later to let me know when some of the panels work properly reporting generation a few months later. Theyre a local company and they do great work!

I have lived in Casa Grande for 6 years. After moving I had contacted PEP SOLAR to first provide me information and then an estimate to put solar on my home. I had checked with 5 different companies. From the estimate to early reviews I selected PEP SOLA . They were great to work with. They took care of everything from applying for all permits, arranging financing, and they work with my electric service to get connected to the grid.I have continued to use them for updates to my system, warranty work and general maintenanc .They have been extremely reliable . When I have called for maintenance they are responsive usually the next day. They do what they say and are on the job when they say they will be at my home. They even monitor my syste . When they have seen a problem they notify me their finding and are at my home to check the system and fix if require . They have continued for the last five years to provide the services I needed, they continued to give me more then fair pricing when I have asked to upgrad . All the employees Sean who provides me updates and prices, Diane who is the middle person who is my main contact. She is always there to help and Mike installer and maintenance. They are the most professional people I have had the pleasure of working with. Lastly you can always talk to the owner of the company Bonnie. Great company with fantastic results that saves me a significant amount of money monthly to what my precious electric bills were and I also produce extra energy and give back to the grid too with net metering and get some credits and money back. Solar panels help the environment by reducing reliance on fossil fuels, coal, and nuclear energy. I’m impressed with PEP since a few years ago I also received interest free financing and an even bigger federal tax credit. I do not have to feel as guilty using electricity especially in the hot summer months like I used to. It is too bad that newer customers have to pay a solar fee to the utilities now which truly discourages people from using this wonderful source of free and natural energy from our sun. PEP has also been efficient and effective to come and help fix any problems that I had as well when my car accidentally hit one the electrical casings outside my house which knocked down my solar production. What a difference in my electric bill! I highly recommend PEP for their experience, knowledge, and performance.

Holy mackerel!!! Stop the presses and shut the door! I just received my corrected APS bill, since the installation and authorization to operate my Photovoltaic power system, installed by PEP Solar in late June. Briefly, there are two meters installed and monitored by APS. The first is a consumption meter and the second is a production meter. Following the authorization to connect in late June, my first bill was in excess of $142. When I called APS to get an explanation they stated that this was an estimate of consumption based upon usage from the previous billing cycle. Since the estimate was based upon the previous month PRIOR TO installation I presumed that the bill would “correct itself” the following month. The August bill was north of $194. Again, when I called APS I was informed that the meter was not consumption meter was NOT transmitting actual usage and they once again pointed to the “estimate of consumption”. But until it is corrected pay the stated amount.September was again over $192. This was extraordinary. As a seasonal (winter) resident of Surprise, I was chagrined to see my electrical consumption was so high. Admittedly, I had made several trips back during the summer but these were measured in days. My electrical bills, translated to consumption were well above my expectations especially as in addition to the installation of a photovoltaic system, (something that I had always wanted to do) I had undertaken major investments in the installation of open celled insulation and smart home features. Those are stories for another time.Back to the beginning. My corrected electric bill from APS is (wait for it); $-394.00. I called APS to confirm that I was not misinterpreting the – in front of the statement and they confirmed that I had a credit on my account.As mentioned, like many consumers I had read about the advances in solar panel technology over the years. However, as a resident of the Pacific Northwest, residing amidst tall fir trees the dream of installing and using a solar system for my home was an akin to looking for Sasquatch. When we purchased our home in the Valley in June of 2018, the concept of began to potentially become a reality. I solicited bids from seven different vendors, including the big box vendor in our favorite store from the northwest. The big box store with friendly employees attired in orange aprons. The big name solar company specializing in leasing installations, who is focused on cars and batteries, and three independent installers including PEP Solar.The presentations were all good. However, the demonstrated knowledge of Sean, regarding concepts, equipment, system design and configuration was outstanding. A major part any major investment of this type is the establishment of trust. Trust that the person presenting the information to you is knowledgeable and that the equipment that they are going to install is the most appropriate and will perform as described. Note, I am not saying the cheapest, that’s for government bidding. I was focused on reliability and durability.The second half of the process is of equal importance. That is the installation crew. Although I have only observed PEP Solar crew, I had spoken with my neighbors who had solar photovoltaic systems installed and read several other articles and was completely impressed by their competence and professionalism. From the Project Manager Sean Gaddis, to the Project Foreman, Michael Andrede, I felt that they had my best interests in mind. PEP solar was the only provider we could find in the area who offered a heat pump and solar design we were looking for. The pre-work and install was pretty painless. We were impressed how quickly PEP moved, they were able to get the heat pump installed within a few weeks of us first reaching out to them. PEP will file for the permits needed and once everything is approved it only takes a day or two for the equipment to be installed.We had a minor issue with our pool system once this was installed, mainly due to pressure but was easily corrected. Pep Solar stepped in and helped us navigate the issue and took care of us as a customer.The heat pump will now allow us to use the pool year round. If you are looking for a heating option for the winter months in AZ, I would strongly recommend you look into this.

I would recommend PEP Solar 100%. When other companies didnt want to get involved in our build process PEP Solar stepped right in and got the job done. We wanted the pre-installation work done as our house was being built. We didnt want conduit running down the outside walls of a brand new house. PEP Solar did all the pre-installation work right along side the other contractors and then came back to install the panels once the roof was finished. All the wiring for the solar was installed in the walls and out of sight. Give them a call, you wont be disappointed.

I have got to say that the folks at PEP went above and beyond in helping us become more energy efficient! We had several obstacles in our path to get the installation done before the APS rebate was lowered. They were able to get us the extension and when we were going out of town the owner of the company came and met with the inspectors, APS, you name it. The sales folks, the engineer, and the installation guys were great; they answered all of our questions through the entire process. If you want solar these are the folks to see!!

We are so glad that we went with PEP Solar. We talked with several other providers; one was completely unprepared and wasted our time. Not so with PEP.Background:We purchased the house in Dec 2011 and moved in Jan 2012. The house was built in 1992 and most of the dual pane windows had leaked and all had the typical bronze aluminum frames and were difficult to slide open. The AC was original, 20 years old, and the fan motor was leaking; multiple recommendations were to replace rather than repair. We had a lot of noise from the air handler inside the house. Whenever the AC or gas furnace kicked on, we had to turn up the TV. We couldnt live with this noise. These were all known issues when purchasing the house and we budgeted for repairs.Having solar was only a wish list item at the time of the house purchase; we didnt know what a system would cost, maintenance required, whether to buy or lease, warranties, etc. PEP patiently answered our questions and we eventually decided to purchase rather than lease.One of the unique products PEP offers is an AC (heat pump) with solar assist by Sedna Aire. This sealed the deal. Yes, this is an expensive AC system but with the tax rebate, it was a reasonable additional cost over what a similar two-stage AC unit would have cost. Due to the efficiency of the AC, the size of the PV array could be reduced and still meet our energy saving goals.From signed contract to commissioning was 1 month, outstanding!We really like the features of the AC. When the air handler turns on, it slowly ramps up the speed; no sudden off-to-on transition. Most of the time it runs at half speed, providing pleasant air movement with minimal noise. The compressor (outdoor unit) is also very quiet compared to the old unit. It is located at a corner of the house where we have a covered patio. When out on the patio, the neighbors AC makes more noise than ours.PEP was able to accurately factor in all of our planned improvements (AC replacement, new windows, LED bulbs) to design a 5 KW system that has met our electricity needs for the past year. The total APS payments for the 12 months since going solar was $340. Im guessing this is close to what the summertime per-month cost would have been! This includes our heating cost as well; gas bill for hot water and range is less than $20 per month. We couldnt be more pleased.
