Louis is very prompt and responsive. When our newer build home experienced sudden water intrusion after a storm and we needed help evaluating the issue for our home builder warranty, I reached out to several engineering firms who never returned my calls. Once Louis was engaged he provided detailed feedback and suggestions to solve our issues. I appreciated that he consulted with us and provided practical advice without charging a consulting fee. Highly recommend using LAV engineering.

I had a great experience with Louis. He went above and beyond to address my concerns, which thankfully turned out to be less severe than I feared. He inspected my house thoroughly, explained his observations clearly, and was honest in telling us we did not have the issues we thought we had. His assessment saved us thousands of dollars on a repair we do not need. He also put me in contact with another service provider that could address the actual issue we’re having, which is outside his scope of services. Highly recommend!

We have an older house and had a few concerns about the foundations integrity. We also want to remove a few walls to open the inside, but we had load-bearing wall concerns. Although the project is not large-scale, Louis came out, walked through the questionable areas, and reassured us in many ways. He spoke in understandable terms that worked for someone who doesnt have an engineer mindset and explained in detail what we could do. He also asked that he be included in the project to address any concerns that may arise during the construction, offer recommendations, and make himself available when needed. My husband showed up from work later in the appointment, and Louis took the time to cover everything with him in detail. We will recommend LAV Engineering to anyone looking to do a project.

In the chaos of trying to find services in the aftermath of the storm, Louis and the team at LAV Engineering pulled through and exceeded expectations. Found Lou on google. WOW. Incredible partner in my project. Not only did he draw the plan to specifications for a reasonable price, but he made himself available as an ally as needed to navigate the obstacles. The project went smoother than expected, in large part thanks to the pre-work by LAV. But I also knew in the event I hit a blockade, I could contact Lou to work it out. Highly recommend.

LAV reviewed the documentation I forwarded and provided their recommendation based on engineering principles, building codes, and physics vs greed. Very refreshing. PS Stay away from Alpha, Groundworks, and other foundation companies who make recommendations without doing investigative due diligence. Youll be throwing away thousands as we did.
