From the beginning (with Karen and Matt) to the end (Scott and Matt)….this team was/is FANTASTIC!I’ve used Varsity Electric twice now (electrical panel upgrade for home and generator) and installation for exterior lights around the house (2 light posts front and back of home, and 3 motion sensor lights).I was very apprehensive to use them initially as I am new to the area, wanted to support local companies; unfortunately, I was taken advantage of/scammed. Needless to say, when Matt met with me, he was the epitome of PROFESSIONALISM. I was taken aback, as I was really becoming skeptical of the Olympia area. I haven’t encountered poise such as his since I’ve returned to Washington State. He explained the entire process, provided input/suggestions, provided an honest quote, and ensured job was completed.Now, I absolutely need to share with the world about Scott and Matt…these two gentlemen went above and beyond to ensure everything was completed to customer satisfaction! What stood out the most with these two was that they consistently went above and beyond.Some examples:1. They brought fuel for my generator knowing that I probably forgot to get it. It was just enough to get my generator started, but what company does that?!?!?2. They cleaned up the mess of the landscapist that was hired to dig the trench. Landscapist had dug up all the dirt and tossed it along the pathway, which tracked dirt into my home and everywhere else. It was a hot mess. Again….they didn’t have to do this, but they did.3. They trimmed my tree to allow for my new light post to provide more visibility and to make it look that much better! They didn’t have to do this!4. This one is hilarious…but Scott explained the mechanics of the generator AND labeled it…lol! I’m sure he has done this many times before, but I am so grateful he broke this down to me…BARNEY STYLE!5. Most importantly, these two took their shoes off (with all the dirt and debris outside) every time they entered my home. They treated my home as if it was theirs. This stood out significantly as I have had the following contractors come into my home tracking dirt and debris into my home without a care in the world: painters, flooring contractor, exterior door installer, PSE electrician, etc. I was shocked that they could do this in someone’s home. Sigh….Let me conclude with this, I will always recommend Varsity Electric to all who will listen. I’ve just provided a snippet of all their wonderful qualities, as there is still so much more I could share.Please give Scott and Matt and BIG, FAT BONUS, VACATION, PAY RAISE!Thank you Varsity Electric for all you have done!

We hired Varsity to investigate and resolve some electrical issues in our back house. Matt came out assessed, and quoted. I spoke with Matt a few times after that, and consistently received competent, professional, and correct information. Mike came and did the work later.I communicated with Peta throughout the process in order to facilitate scheduling, and payment. She was pleasant to work with, and accommodating.Mike found an issue in the main house which had a pretty high chance at starting a fire, which would have been devastating. The night before, Id noticed a hot plastic/burning smell while Id been running laundry at the main house. See the attached pictures for more detail. It was caused by an issue which should have been caught before we purchased the house, but had not. Had Mike not caught the problem, it is entirely possible we would no longer have a house, or be dead.Mike pointed the issue out, gave his opinion, and went over the details on what a panel replacement would run. Some of the larger gauge wiring had to be replaced due to heat stress. We agreed to the replacement, and Mike came back the following day to replace the panel and resolve any pending wiring issues. Since then, lights have stopped flickering in the house, no more burning smell, and I feel a lot more confident in the electrical panel in the main house.Because of this incident in particular, and Mikes overall performance and professionalism throughout the several days he was here, Ill continue to use Varsitys services. Varsity Electric has won my business because they not only do good work, they really care about customers. And they follow through. I have used them for a couple jobs, but the best story about them is this one: Five years ago I had them install an EV charger in my garage, which is separated from the house. I dug the ditch myself to save some money, and they came and installed the conduit, the plug, and the charger itself.Recently I was looking into upgrading the charger for a new EV, and discovered that while I had paid to have them install a 50-amp circuit for the charger, theyd only installed a 30-amp circuit. And this wouldnt work for my new charger. So I called them and the following week they were at my house, digging a new ditch (they had to install larger conduit), and not only installing a new circuit, but adding a subpanel in the garage to handle the EV charger and garage lights/plugs. All under the 5-year-old contract without an additional charge!Everything is working great, and I have nothing but good things to say about their professionalism, friendliness, and commitment.

I was assigned this company from American Home Shield after the first company never called or showed up for a week. Varsity Electric called me within an hour after getting the request. They came out the same day figured out the issue and replaced a plug in my bedroom that was the issue. They also looked at my fuse box and found nothing that would cause an issue. They explained what happened. I will definitely use them again in the future.

What a relief! We had a microwave meltdown happening at our house, and two electricians showed up, one of which was Ryan the owner! We thought we had a troublesome wiring situation in our outlet after installing a new microwave, but they helped us discover that it was an error made when we installed the microwave. Between the two of them, they figured out that it was a simple fix that just required unscrewing a few screws on the microwave, realigning the screw hole, and they even reinstalled the microwave for us! Now all of my teenager’s Ramen noodle dreams can be fulfilled again! They also tackled replacing a GFCI switch that had worn out for another unrelated area of the home. Top-notch service, friendly, 10 out of 10!

I needed to get wired ethernet upstairs from downstairs, on the other side of the house. Originally I had Xfinity come out, and they immediately denied the whole thing. So I called these guys up and they were completely open to doing it. Ryan and his crew ended up putting it together way better than I actually imagined, made it look super clean, no holes in the ceiling or floors, outlets look great and everything. Finished it in 2 hours, and everything works great. We had a bit of an issue with the scheduling, we were originally scheduled for an earlier day, but they didnt put us in the books so on the day we were scheduled, I called them to confirm the time, and we had to re-schedule because they actually really didnt schedule us. But they were super helpful, positive, and did I better job than I was even thinking so I will look past that! I get it, people make mistakes.

The company I work for had been looking for an electrician to fix a light we thought had a bad ballast. We called two places and they were difficult and not helpful at all.
