I was very happy with Clayton Kramer’s work on replacing my water heater. He was patient while he had to wait on my AC equipment to be placed in order to finish the water heater installation due to the right space. Clayton had to put a larger water heater in an already tight space. He was respectful and polite. He left the area very clean and took the time to explain important information on the new water heater. It was obvious Clayton has a great work ethic and I highly recommend him!

3 years ago we discovered we had improperly installed sewer lines both under and outside our house. We contacted several companies for estimates, including Preferred. Tara Hawkins was our point of contact and stayed in touch throughout the process of preparing to repair the issue. Her communication and professionalism were over the top. They started work on Monday Sept. 23rd 2024 and finished on Wednesday Sept. 25th. The work involved cutting our house slab, and digging 55 feet of trench all the way to the street. Let me sum that up: Concrete cutting and pipe repair in the house, and fifty five feet of digging outside. Then refilling the hole inside, and not only refilling the trench outside, but replacing the sod they carefully cut to make the hole look neat. They tarped everywhere they might throw dirt and protected our lawn and landscaping. On the Tuesday they worked until 8pm. It was dark when they finished. They showed up today Sept. 30th, after having the outside work inspected and passed by the town, and filled in the trench. I hope well never have another problem like this, but Id call Preferred again in a heartbeat. Outstanding experience.

Preferred Home Services met my expectations for providing on time service with quality workmanship. Darian and Garrett, technicians completed removing an old HW Heater from our attic space and installed a new NAVIEN tankless propane heater with a HALO ION Inline water conditioning maintenance free system along with a pressure reducing valve on our incoming water supply to the house. Our service technicians were first rate having all the proper equipment, materials, and tools required to complete work in an efficient manner. A project well done without delay speaks volumes today. Ive been using Preferred Home Services ever since I moved into my current house and can confidently say they are nothing short of the best! Theyve helped me with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC challenges, and are always on top of everything. They give you reasonable windows of when to expect them, text or call you when theyre on their way, and are even available on weekends. Im usually one to shy away from maintenance plans, but their Preferred Plan has already paid for itself more than once. Recently Ive worked with Corey and William who have both been excellent, but truly the whole team does a consistently wonderful job!

I have to say that Clayton Kramer is one of the hardest working young men Ive watched in quite a while. Friendly, paided attention to the details that matter. Completely cleaned up after himself and asked if we had any questions. Very impressed with him. They came out quickly and didnt leave until the job was done and I had water again. I have to admit I did have sticker shock at the price of having this done. Thank goodness they financed me.

Just had a new Central Air installed. As with any high cost repairs and upgrades, it can be nerve racking. However, when Ryan and Kevin arrived all that concern faded. They explained everything they were doing in real time. They offered tips for better care of my new system to keep it running smoothly and best yet, why those tips are important. They made sure everything was in place and running before even showing us how to use the new thermostat. This is my second big job from Preferred and they do not disappoint and back up their work 100%. Excellent!

Ive been a customer for years, and this latest experience will make you a customer for life. During a recent basic AC tune up, the fan motor stopped working meaning I had a working AC unit before the technician arrived, and no AC after the service. Preferred Home Services were on the spot taking ownership of the situation and provided the repair at no cost. While I understand mistakes are bound to happen from time to time, Im extremely impressed with the way Mike (service manager) and the team handled the situation and didnt turn it into a fight going back and forth on who was responsible for the non-working AC. As soon as the new part arrived, they were able to get it installed next day and my unit is back in good shape.Thanks so much for the help and performing at the highest level of professionalism.

The next morning Travis Everett came out & found there was a root problem. He notified the proper authorities, they came out fixed it temporarily & put us on schedule to complete the repair. I called due to an issue with my air-conditioning unit, and the staff were very friendly and understanding. They put me on for the following day and kept me notified the entire way. The technician who showed up to my house was courteous professional, and showed me detailed photos and test showing me my issue. He did make recommendations, but was sure to separate them out as to what needed to be done and what he recommended be done. I actually took some of his recommendations and was grateful for how quick and courteous he was.

I was really impressed with Josh and the entire plumbing, and sewer team. The plumbing situation in my old house was an almost apocalyptic combination of leaking, corroded, collapsing pipes and shoddy workmanship from previous owners and contractors.Josh and his team worked so hard. They continually encountered weird setbacks with how my old house was designed and they had to think on their feet and engineer solutions on the fly.They got the job done, even working in the rain as Hurricane Helene began to roll in. Josh kept me thoroughly informed throughout the entire process so I always knew what was happening and WHY.I was also impressed with the electrician (Sean, I think?) who came out to repair a ceiling light that was improperly installed by a previous owner (it was basically hanging by a wire). He repaired it and installed it properly in no time flat so I could go about my day.I’m so impressed with Preferred Home Services, Josh, and the entire plumbing and sewer team, and Sean, the electrician! On Wednesday our very old hvac system stopped working right before temps started dropping again, so no heat. Thursday we called Preferred and requested Derek as his customer service and knowledge of his field is unmatched! He is the best! Unfortunately for our pockets we needed to replace our unit but were looking forward to a fresh start with a new system. Derek had their sales rep Thomas come out that same day, who was very knowledgeable as well and less than 24 hours later the install crew was here working putting in the new system before the temps dropped again last night. A shout out to the install crew leads Kenny and Jaxon as the install went very smooth, drop cloths were put down everywhere they needed to be and we could not believe how quiet everyone was during! Our new system seems to be working great so far and even the air in our home feels better! Thank you all involved for all your help! We really appreciate it! It was a bit pricier than I though it should be, but the technician (Darian) explained everything well and did not slack off at all. He came in and accessed the job, tried to go the cheaper route, but explained why he couldnt and then made the repairs. I was watching closely and he never took time off from the job, just worked until it was done. It was also done in a timely manner, especially since we were leaving to go on vacation that day and had a flight to catch.

Clint was effective in communicating with me what the plumbing problem was and the next steps to rectify the situation. At the time I was out of the country and since the work was confined to the outside he texted to keep me abreast of the issue. 4 stars instead of 5 because I didn’t receive any pictures of the problem like I usually get from Preferred services. Tara emailed me the estimate for the work that needed to be done and got it scheduled within 2 days. Another reason for the 4 stars instead of 5, is cause I had to call for the invoice and pictures after the second crew completed the work.

This is an update to a previous review I did of Preferred Home Services and once again, they have proven they are THE BEST at what they do. This time I needed to have plumbing work done and as expected, I was able to schedule the services according to my schedule. The team provided outstanding communication before, during, and after the service and all of the work I needed to have done was completed in one day. My technician, Sam Watson was outstanding, friendly, on time, and communicative. He LISTENED to all of my concerns and did not rush to selling me products. He did a thorough diagnosis of all of the issues I had outlined and then took the time to discuss all of my options. I received a detailed estimate of all of the work and recommended products for my consideration. At the end of the day, all of my plumbing concerns were resolved to my absolute satisfaction and for the exact price quoted. Sam worked efficiently and left my home in better condition than he found it. Thank you Sam!As stated in my earlier review of work done on my HVAC and electrical, my experience with the plumbing services was beyond compare. I will be sticking with Preferred Home Services for maintenance and any further concerns I may encounter with my homes mechanicals.

This company is absolute garbage! The technician had no idea how to fix the problem (small pinhole leak in a copper pipe to backflow). The technician did NOT have all the required parts to fix the repair. He only realized this AFTER he started the job. He had to make a run to Home Depot to get more materials (which was fine, no worries there), but did NOT get all materials to finish the repair. He made the job WORSE by taking short cuts and damaging the main water line, causing it to be shut down for almost 24 hrs, leaving me and my family WITHOUT water for almost 24hrs. None of us could use our toilets or showers. He left a note on my door step explaining why he didnt finish the job.His supervisor called me the next morning (0630) and acted like it wasnt a big deal. He said he would try and get his senior technician over between 0900 and 0930. Mind you, my family is still without water in the house. I told him he might want to send them now. He said he would try....pfff.When the pinhole finally got fixed and the additional damage the technician caused by burning through my homes water line was finally fixed, this company refused to give me any type of discount and even tried to sell me on a maintenance plan, even after all this had happened.I have filed a complaint with the BBB on this company!****CUSTOMERS BEWARE****** DONT USE THIS COMPANY, STAY AWAY!!!!!!!*****UPDATE #2****** (I changed the star in the review from a 1 to a 4) Spoke with Jamaal from Customer Experience, he is the manager. Wr had a lengthy conversation and he listen to my concerns and complaint. He has taken the necessary steps to rectify the situation and ad such, my faith has been restored in this company.I know we can all get a little hot under the collar from time to time, but Jamaal listen and understood that in this business, the customer is always right!I would not hesitate to use to use this company in the future, especially since I have experienced the redemption myself. After about 3 years of constant service calls, I pretty much demanded another unit. They installed another one, but I still had ongoing issues and service calls for another 2 years. He also provided several quotes for potential future updates when and if wanted, without the sales pressure like other companies. The price charged was phenominal. We had a new hvac system installed and the Preferred team of Ryan Raymond Jason and Tony surpassed all of our expectations. Brett our sales representative walked us thru the best hvac for our home. No hard sales on extras that we did not need, just good information for the right product. Installation was efficient. The team kept us updated on the process and more importantly they explained what and why on all aspects. They worked cleanly and treated our home with respect. Our furnace is located in the attic. Removing the old system and installing the new one with the wider air ducts was accomplished with minimal dust. The team did a thorough clean up as they worked. Buying a new hvac can be a hit to the household budget but we feel that with Preferred we got so much more than what we paid for. Ask for the Ryan and Raymond team. You can’t go wrong

Aaron saved our new water heater, repaired everything and was really professional. He even did some courtesy work while he was waiting for the heater to fill again. He also showed me some tips and tricks to maintain the heater. It was a bit pricey, but the service and professionalism was definitely worth it!! Also, Aaron came with a lot of equipment and the service comes with 2yrs warranty. That justifies the pricing.

Chris was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and very nice. He explained everything in detail, updated us on the various jobs throughout the day, and cleaned up thoroughly. Im blown away with how great of a company this is. They dont scam you like a majority of other service providers. I had two other companies come out to assess my tankless water heater and they basically told that my water heater was just louder than usual and I would need to replace it if I wanted a quieter one. Preferred Home Services was then recommended by a friend and was quick to respond and came out immediately. My tech, Will Smith, was friendly and professional and extremely thorough. He found a loose nail inside of my water heater upon inspection, removed it, and solved my problem. Saved me a lot of money!! Im not sure how the two previous companies did not find that and then recommended I would need a new water heater. I am so impressed with Preferred Home Services and will be recommending them to all of my friends and family.

I highly recommend Preferred Services for their commitment to honest and professional customer service and their experienced employees. I made a call to Preferred Services after finding them through a Google search. I spoke to a caring scheduler, and surprisingly, received a same day visit for a leaky outside faucet. The plumber assigned, Kerry M., was friendly and very knowledgeable. He took the time to answer all my questions about the faucet, and gave me no pressure options about repair or replacement. Because his knowledge of plumbing was evident, I asked about my very old hot water heater which I also knew badly needed replacement. He gave me detailed information, again with no pressure. I knew I had found an honest company with an honest plumber. Thus, I had confidence in going forward with the work that needed done. I was amazed that I could get it done the next day. Kerry efficiently and expertly installed a new hot water and replaced the leaky outside faucet. He made the whole process from estimate to completion of the work stress-free, and he left no mess behind. It was great to do business with Kerry and Preferred Services.

Our need for a plumber was urgent as it involved our hot water heater. I had no idea who to call . We questioned friends and neighbors with no luck. So we did the only thing left which was go search google. Well after sending out a plea for HELP WE HAVE A LEAK! I soon got a call back and an appointment for Mr Cunningham to come and see what my panic was all about. He located evidence of a leak that lead to the hot water heater. After a couple of other discoveries Chris rendered his verdict. When explaining our options Chris put NO PRESSURE on us to make a decision on his recommendation. By this time I think Chris could have sold us anything because he was just honest. Chris was willing to do whatever he needed to do to take care of our problem which was the leak. In no time the decision to replace the hot water heater and as they say “the rest is history”. We’re happy and if we need a plumber I know who to call and ask for Chris. He will get the job done!

So, this will be a long one. I had a very old HVAC system, so I got a quote from a couple of the highest rated places around, to see about getting it replaced. One company got me a quote very quickly without even coming to the home, one company did not reach back out to me, and Preferred Home Services went above and beyond. They sent Josh out to my home the next day, and he thoroughly went over my system and spent nearly 2 hours with us discussing our options. He was extremely friendly, professional and informative. I will say, the quote was higher than the other company, but it was well worth it, due to the amount of work they put in. The day after Josh was there, they installed not only the HAVC, but a water heater as well. James and his crew did some seriously high quality work that I don’t believe I would have received anywhere else. Aaron, who installed the water heater, was beyond nice and did a fantastic job. I couldn’t say enough positive things about everyone we encountered, again, making the price worth it, to me. I am definitely happy I made the choice to go with this company, and will always use them in the future.
