Had my first GoldStar Service today, taking advantage of a AC cleaning special. Trevor was the Technician that serviced my Lennox AC system. He arrived in the promised time frame, introduced himself and went to work. He explained what he was doing and to be honest, he checked parts of my system that no other company has checked in the past. He checked both the inside and outside components, took pictures and when finished, showed me the pictures and made appropriate suggestions.Overall, I was very pleased with Trevor and GoldStar, much more than the other service companies (Horizon and Sobieski) that have come before. Will contact again for the Furnace winter service and decide if a service contract is in the future. Thank you Trevor for the excellent service!

John did a thorough job of cleaning our heat pump during our tune up. The indoor unit PVC drain pipe clogged from the gunk that was removed by the cleaning the indoor coils and pan, so he had to come back and clear the drain pipe. It works great now. Appreciate how fast he came back and his honesty in explaining what happened. No charge for the visit. The drain pipe only clogged because he did such a good job cleaning the inside of the unit. Professional, polite, honest service.

Called GoldStar because of a noise from our return duct. John came right at 8am, was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was SO sweet to our dogs and gave them lots of pets. He thoroughly looked at our inside and outside unit, thermostat, and listened to the noise in the return. He also replaced our air filter and rinsed off the outdoor unit. Excellent service — we booked the family plan for semi-annual maintenance. He didn’t hard sell us and gave us his honest opinion. We appreciate Jon’s expertise and kindness. Look forward to working with him and GoldStar again.

I had a great experience with John. He was very pleasant and informative. After completing the maintenance on my system he gave me directions on how to keep my system running to its fullest potential which included changing air filter, showing me the type I need and how to properly install in addition to advising me to schedule and keep all maintenance appointments. He offered me savings plans for those plans as well. We went over some features on the thermostat that I wasnt aware of and answered any additional questions I had.

Our heater stopped working and Trevor was able to troubleshoot and find that there were actually three issues contributing to the problem. He showed me the problems in my current system, and while one was significant, he did not exert any pressure for me to buy a replacement from him and was willing to provide the needed repairs to my unit if I preferred. Very personable yet professional it was a pleasure having work in my house as I was the vice president of technical services for a large company. Explained the issues that would have been there for later in the season and it was a minimal cost to replace and repair and it happened to be one of the parts that Im familiar with that causes most of the failures of air conditioners in the summer heat months for that I was very appreciative.If I require any further service I will be calling Gold store and be asking for birdie as the technician to come to do whatever is necessary to be done.

Very satisfied with both technicians now, Shane today and Barry on the initial visit since becoming a customer 6 months ago.Barry was the most professional and knowledgeable service technician that I have ever dealt involving the service requirements for my HVAC system. He was here for an extended period of time completing a thorough investigation and servicing of the entire unit, inside and out. He discovered a small gas leak at the fitting within the line and took the time to show me and what he did to correct it and make it safe again. Barry really shows his dedication and pride in doing the job right, and we truly appreciate all that he did to make us feel confident that our system is now operating at peak performance. I hope he will be available any time we need service and during our annual maintenance visits as we have signed up for the Gold Star service agreement. Barry and Gold Star came highly recommended by our neighbor, and I will also pass on the good word and recommendation for Gold Star. Keep up the good work, and keep Barry happy:)

He was very knowledgeable and explained everything I needed to know. He made sure to ask me if I wanted to purchase a year’s worth of filters since he had used the last one. Although I initially chose to purchase on my own, he asked if I was sure I didn’t want to purchase the filters. I ended up purchasing them. John also made sure he cleaned the outside unit for me. He definitely takes pride in his work!

The Goldstar rep did an excellent job determining the problem with our heating system, communicating the problem, our options, pricing and timing. Dennie and Shane are highly experienced, knowledgeable and patient. The crew that came to install a new furnace were excellent as well. They worked time efficiently, collaboratively and communicated well with us during the process. We didn’t have heat in as couple of cold nights so they got the job done quickly. We got a better heating system at a fair price. Subsequently, their maintenance of our system has been excellent!

The Gold Star installation crew, lead by Jason Hanby, Jiair and Josh, were great. They did an outstanding job. They really cared about treating our home as if it were their home. They used drop cloths were needed and utilized the easiest path, with the least amount of obstructions, to remove our old equipment and bring in the new equipment. They even made custom pieces for our system on the truck. Sealed all the seams with either silicone, tape or both. When an option that we requested to be added wouldn’t fit, they immediately notified their office, who sent a supervisor to explain why and how it would not fit due to the available space on our system. At the end of installation they even gave us a little training session on how to operate/program our nee thermostat, how and where to changed the filter, how to check the UV light, how to check the Wet switch located in the pan at the bottom if the furnace. Overall we had a great experience with this company and we WILL be recommending this company to anyone in their service area.Thank you for an OUTSTANDING job!

Gold Star technician (Trevor) did a thorough check of the pressures, etc. in my A/C system, replaced my electrostatic filter. Trevor took the time to explain the different checks he was doing. Trevor found the PVC pipe draining the water to the condensate pump was clogged. He cleared the clog and installed union joints so it can be cleared easier if it clogs in the future. He replaced the small capacitor on the outside A/C fan unit and thoroughly cleaned the A/C fan unit. His customer service was excellent and I highly recommend Trevor and Gold Star!

However this is the case where I feel obligated to write one because of the positive experience I had. My water heater broke and I had a home warranty. After giving me the run around for about three days my home warranty company told me to find my own contractor to complete this repair. Not really knowing who to call I picked the first one that showed up in Google, gold star. They sent out a technician, Ryan, the same day. Ryan was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. After I received a quote I submitted it to my home warranty company, who again gave me the run around. However I was able to get approval and the gold star was able to step up a replacement the next day at 11am when I called at 5pm. I had to go to bring my wife to the doctors and they even helped me schedule around that! When Ryan showed up to install the new water heater he knocked it out in about three hours and again was super helpful and knowledgeable.I usually hate it when people say, I wish I could give a higher rating than five, but in this case I really would like to give a higher rating. They did an excellent job and if I had any other issues they would be the first people I would call.

Outstanding honest company. We had a problem with our 15 year old central AC. Gold Star was out very quickly and isolated the problem to a bad condenser. After temporarily placing a new one they found that we were low on Freon and showed me the gauges. Since this Freon will not be allowed after next year it is very expensive to replace and they had to find the leak first. After exploring all of the possibilities with Jeff it was the most beneficial and cost effective to replace the unit. They were out in a few day and took 4 hours to replace everything. Ten year parts and labor guarantee. 18 month zero percent financing, and a great new high efficiency unit. The whole experience was great and we are very happy with the product and service Gold Star provided. We didnt plan on a replacement but it was certainly the best way to go. I highly recommend their services to anyone. It is nice to find a company that provides great service with honesty and integrity.

The recent service by Derek for the A/C maintenance was good. Hopefully Gold Star hires more experienced technicians so that scheduling maintenance and service can be accomplished more quickly and efficiently.

They had time to answer any and all questions.After the installation was complete, Justin, the lead tech set up the thermostat (WIFI-enabled) while explaining it all to me. Very rainy morning,Appt.was scd.from 8-12 and Duke was here right at 8am sharp! He was very respectful of the house considering the weather, Slipped on his shoe covers whenever he had to come in.Explained everything he had done and even showed me the readings on the gauges. Gold Star completely replaced a 23 year old HVAC system last August. Ten months in, both AC and heat have worked flawlessly. Installation on time, professional and painless, pricing was the best around. I have called them twice for nonsense questions, prompt and very courteous answers. Neighbor next door also had Gold Star do system replacement a year earlier and we both agree, top notch company, highly recommend. UPDATE: Now been SIX+ years and system still going strong, no issues at all (and Taco Bell just shorted my order so Im ready to really rant-Gold Star deserves a gold star).

Great Customer Satisfaction is what we can say about Gold Star Heating and Cooling. The employees have been respectful and kind from the scheduling person Megan, the sales man for our new Heat pump unit, the installation crew and service technicians. We have been very please with our decision to go with Gold Star.We recently had an intermittent Air Conditioning problem. We called for help and had a technician out that day to look at it. Ryan the service technician was able to identify the intermittent problem right away. He spent the time to talk about what happened and answered all of our question. We are happy he found the problem but Ryan really won us over with his customer relation.Great customer satisfaction is what we have received from them. We would highly recommend Gold Star Heating and Cooling for both service work and replacement of you unit.

Technician very professional and knowledgeable. After he performed the diagnostics on one of my AC units he provided a detailed analysis of what the root cause of failure was, a blown capacitor. He carried the replacement part I needed on his truck. Took a few mins to install and I was back in business. Looking to forward to working with Gold Star in the very near future under their annual maintenance plan

I had them out to do repairs on my AC unit. I liked them and signed up for a yearly maintenance contract, which has gone well. My AC unit finally gave up the ghost. They replaced it. The work was done professionally. My only gripe is it cost a lot more than the last time I had the AC replaced.

Gold Star’s representative, Bill McGuire, was very professional, attentive, and detail-oriented. I had a concern with an outdated HVAC system and poor air flow throughout my house. Bill took the time to address my questions and went through different scenarios of what could be driving the issues. At the end of the day, I decided on another company to complete the work (based on cost structure) but I wanted to ensure Bill received a positive recommendation for his time and interactions with me. Had a water issue in my basement over night. I called at 630 am for an emergency service since I have no heat. While cleaning up, they called back within an hour and let me know they would be there as soon as they could but my time window was 8-12. Rick got here about 1130 and he was great. He went right down to the unit and looked over everyhthing. He saw the wet switch was tripped and explained that the switch shuts everything down so more damage does not occur if water gets into the unit and sprays around. He checked over the whole unit, wiped up the tray of any remaining moisture, and reset the unit. Waited until the start up process was finished and said everything checks out and we were lucky that nothing was damaged.he was very professional and courteous.

Joe Broderick knew exactly what the problem was with my heater when I told and showed him the lights that were on with my new system. He explained it was a safety measure for the system due to the freezing temperatures and the water release hose. I was quite surprised since prior to his arrival the system had started to function again. I have dealt with other companies prior to becoming a Goldstar customer and seen that if the system was functioning the technician would write it up as such and leave. Joe not only knew what the problem was but was able to tell us what to do if the problem occurred again. He was pleasant and efficient. Once again I. am glad that I chose Goldstar as my heating and cooling service..

He came to perform a routine maintenance checkup on our heating system, informed me when he was done and showed me that a report was sent to my email. when I asked if I should call Gold Star to make an appointment for our AC checkup he informed me that Gold Star would contact me. I am very pleased with Gold Star and their employees.
