ReTouch blew my expectations away. I tore out some concrete stairs that were crumbling and sagging from my front porch and wanted to get some wooden steps installed. On guidance from my parents, I reached out to contractors in order to get quotes and see what various designs/ideas could be reached. Lance provided me the best experience, and seemed to really understand what I was looking for, he kept an open line of communication and let me know about when work would start, even with all the rain. His team showed up on a Saturday and got the job done fast and well and I could not be any happier. His team was able to match the railing and all decorative pieces with the already existing deck.I will definitely be keeping Retouch Design and Lance in my phone book for future projects.

Irene and Misty were such a great team! They communicated well, especially when there were necessary change orders and options we had to decide on. They had great attention to detail, typically fixing or changing things before I could even tell them about something. They also kept a clean site, which was great considering the work was all done in our main living spaces. Excited to work with them again on other projects in our house!

Recently completed a renovation with Retouch. The design team, specifically Angela and Irene were amazing to work with! The floor plan Angela came up with was fantastic- and something we hadn’t even dreamed of. Irene understood exactly what I wanted design-wise, even when I couldn’t always articulate it. There were some bumps along the way during the process once construction started- but nothing out of the ordinary. The project was completed close to the date we were given initially. A couple weeks over, but there were some issues with materials that contributed to that. Overall, we’re so happy with the finished project and love our new spaces!

We worked with ReTouch on a large scale renovation to our 1940s home over the course of 9 months in 2021/2022. There were many elements outside of their control (COVID delays, incorrect orders on big-ticket items) that drastically delayed our project. ReTouch was responsive and creative to keep moving the project along. ReTouch works with high-quality subcontractors that left our home clean and somewhat livable (as livable as can be when your first floor is totally demoed!)

ReTouch did a great job. Erin and Jerry were easy to work with and our new bathroom looks great! I have worked with other contractors in the past who do not show up or return phone calls and try to get you to replace things you dont need. Jerry was on time everyday and get the job done. Erin listens to what you need done and never tried to talk you into things you dont need. Im glad I found these guys!

We have used ReTouch multiple times and have always been more than pleased. They do qualify work & are very conscientious. They fixed minor imperfections that we didn’t even notice. They helped design our new kitchens and made unique requests a reality – such as a corner pantry with a distressed barn door that my wife really wanted. Our house is far from level, and they created unique solutions that were effective & economical. I trust them and would use them again.

It is rare to find general contractors with the skill-set and gifting that Lance has. He is great at managing people and processes but beyond that he cares deeply about building lasting relationships and taking the utmost care in his treatment of clients and others. He is a great communicator and a joy to be around. He is honest and possesses the highest integrity. His processes are transparent with a focus on collaboration rather than competition. As an architect it is difficult to entrust your designs to someone to be implemented but I willingly turn them over to Retouch with the full assurance that they my clients and designs will be well served. I hold Lance in the highest regard both personally and professionally and the best recommendation I know to give is that I would not hesitate to entrust him with my own project.

On ReTouch’s home page it reads “We enrich lives by redeeming spaces.” ReTouch absolutely did this for our family and our now redeemed home. My husband and I bought a house in January of 2018 that needed heavy renovations. Initially ReTouch was called to our house by the elevator company we hired to install an elevator. We were already overwhelmed by the amount of work needed to be done so we asked ReTouch to give us some guidance. After a walk through this project was quickly becoming a bigger project than we had imagined. ReTouch did our elevator shaft and the finishing of its floor, kitchen, hearth room, mud room/butler’s pantry, parlor, dining room, main floor ½ bath, master bedroom, master bathroom, master martini deck, basement with full bathroom, workout room, kitchen/bar and mantles on 3 fireplaces. Outside ReTouch renovated the screened in porch, removed and rebuilt a new deck, renovated the walk out patio and gave our home a major transformation with a curb appeal that has me overwhelmed is the best way. Most of the areas mentioned were gutted to be updated, designed and function as we requested. The design team really listened to our requests and quickly learned what we liked, but still kept us informed every step of this journey. ReTouch was in our house for about 9 months before we did a final walk through. There were unforeseen obstacles that delayed some aspects of the renovation, but knowing that when the work was finished we would be in a home that was more beautiful and more functional beyond any we could ever have imagined helped us remain patient. Our ReTouch team was thoughtful, respectful and well-intentioned throughout this transformation. ReTouch’s rates are reasonable and they did not push any services on us that we did not need. Everyone on the ReTouch team was honest and trustworthy. We had friends and family who experienced the “before” of our house. Now they see the “after” is our home that truly reflects our family. Our neighbors applauded every step of the renovation and people have stopped by to express their amazement at the transformation that they watched over those months. Our lives have been enriched and our house has become our home. We would strongly recommend ReTouch and we will be using them again.

Lance was quick and courteous. He did a great job fixing the roof of our damaged shed. It looks just like new. He did well with our dogs and left the site as cleaner than it was when he arrived.

My husband and I hired ReTouch to do our remodeling design. We found ReTouch by googling. All we knew about ReTouch was what we read about them on the internet. Erik from ReTouch got in touch with us right away. It was such a wonderful experience working with Erik and his team @ReTouch. We are so grateful to have found ReTouch and Erik! Erik seems to be the kind of person who cares for his clients..and it shows in his work and our interaction with him. From the get go, Erik surpassed our expectations. He also helped us save a lot of money with his recommendations and design solutions. I would hire Erik again if we need any remodeling work done in the future.

After 15 years in the same house in Roeland Park, we were faced with the dilemma of leaving a neighborhood we love. We recently hired ReTouch to remove an exterior wall and install a large sliding type patio door. From the very beginning of our project, ReTouch stood out above all other contractors we received bids from. When we first met Lance to look at the project, he asked us questions and just listened to us. He was genuinely interested in understanding what we wanted before even looking at the space or taking measurements for the bid. He also creatively worked to provide several options within our budget. From that point forward, Kelly was our project manager and was amazing. He was very courteous and kept us informed on any decisions that needed to be made. He communicated very well and let us know the plan for each day and when people would be in and out of our house. Every single person from ReTouch involved in the project (project manager, electrician, carpenter, finish carpenter, etc.) was a pleasure to work with, cared about the work they were doing and went above and beyond finishing out all the details of the job. We couldnt have been more pleased with ReTouch. They stayed within budget, completed the work on time and were all very high character people to work with. Thank you ReTouch!

Many companies say they will do smaller projects, however when you contact them you can tell you are not priority or they will over quote you so you can look elsewhere. ReTouch is the exception. I hired ReTouch to build a small privacy wall on my existing gazebo and the work they did exceeded my expectations. I would hire ReTouch again.

We worked with ReTouch to convert our attic space into two bedrooms and a bathroom, and we had such a great experience! We are so pleased with the final product, and the process of working with them was what really made it. I liked that they were considerate of our budget and open to us doing certain things to keep the price where we needed it. They also were really considerate of working around our schedule with having a toddler and a new baby in our house during the project. Would highly recommend!

Retouch remodeled our original 1994 kitchen and fireplace in the attached family room.For kitchen we changed the layout to accommodate a much bigger island with a custom cabinet base and an attached table-height section for eating, all topped with awesome quartz. New ceiling height cabinets give a sense of height and space while adding storage. One of my favorite features is my tile backsplash extending to the ceiling around a beautiful corner sink and faucet. In the family room they designed a stunning stacked-marble fireplace surround with a custom wood mantel and a marble hearth that perfectly compliments the kitchen.Retouch was awesome to work with, from the designers, construction/build managers, to the installers they are professionals. During construction, they kept me informed on status of all aspects of the job, the work was done in a timely manner (considering supply chain issues) and within my budget :) They have great design sense and really helped me create a kitchen-family room that I love to be in and work in everyday. I highly recommend them.

We just finished remodeling our bathroom with Retouch and we could not be more pleased. Mark and Joey communicated with us every step of the way and we are overjoyed with how well it turned out. They worked with us to fit the work into our schedules and always contacted us if something was going to change. They asked our opinions on every detail to make sure the work was done exactly the way we wanted it.Our designer Beth was also great. She provided helpful suggestions while still giving us room for our own ideas.The cost of our project was reasonable. We had a quote from another company that was 1 and 1/2 times what Retouch quoted us.It was a positive experience from beginning to end. We will definitely be using Retouch for our next project!

Our project involved total remodel of two bathrooms on main floor, a hall bath and master bath. We had bids from 4 firms and ReTouch priced the project right in the middle ($40,000) of the price range. Their designer did a good job in helping us pick quality products within reasonable price ranges. They brought samples of everything to us so we didnt have to run around town. Lead carpenter Mark Franklin was the on the scene manager and did a great job communicating and coordinating. Everyone was conscientious about their job and responsive to what we wanted.I recommend them and will use them again for the next project.

We hired Retouch to do a full remodel of our kitchen two years ago. We tore everything out down to the studs, moved around some walls and one staircase, bumped up the ceiling, put in new windows, doors, custom cabinets, etc. Retouch was an excellent partner throughout the entire process. Corey was our project manager and I cannot say enough about what a wonderful job he did making sure that everything went smoothly. He was always on top of everything and he is just incredibly calm and reassuring (which is hugely important during a remodel). I always felt comfortable heading off to work knowing that he was around. During the planning stage with Lance and Corey, they were always completely professional and we never felt pressured to increase our budget in any way. At the same time, they both offered excellent advice and recommendations. All of the work ReTouch did was truly excellent -- two years later, we still absolutely love our finished kitchen. They were recommended to us by two different friends and we would recommend them without hesitation.

We had a very good experience working with Retouch. Our only bathroom in our 2 bedroom condo in the Plaza area was in bad need of a major renovation. We knew going in that our bathroom would be a challenge, and it lived up to that but they came through with a minimum of stress on our part. They gave me the look I was looking for and we love it. The contractor was totally professional and had a good crew working with him. He was very good about explaining what was being done, why and getting it done right. ReTouch did a kitchen face lift for us. This entailed replacing counter tops, sink, back splash, removing a cook top and wall oven including the cabinets under the cook top and wall oven, and removing a kitchen desk. A range was put where the original cook top had been and new matching cabinets placed where the wall oven was. Lastly a pantry cabinet was installed where the desk had been. Then we ourselves painted all the cabinetry and walls. After an initial timing hiccup, all work was very well done! The new cabinetry was a perfect match, the pantry lovely and the counter tops and backsplash are beautiful. There were a few issues with subcontractors that the project manager, Randy, handled extremely well and there was no stress to us! And their design team helped us tremendously with matching colors etc. All in all this was an extremely pleasant experience, especially for a remodel! We will definitely use ReTouch again for any remodeling needs we have!

My wife and I recently hired ReTouch to install an shower in our master bathroom. I had found ReTouch by googling contractors in the Johnson County area, and reached out to them because of their consistently positive customer reviews.We are incredibly impressed with ReTouchs work. Their employees are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Although we probably had a smaller-scale project than ReTouchs other customers, I never got the impression that our project was a low priority for them. ReTouchs employees were easy to work with, and always returned my requests for information in a timely manner. They took great care in keeping the work area clean, and were respectful of our house and belongings. I would have no problem trusting them in my home again. Overall, the cost for the work was reasonable, and the job was quickly accomplished in a very competent manner.Ultimately, we are impressed with ReTouch and their work. If we have another project for our home we will be hiring ReTouch again.
