Even installed a new laundry tub faucet and even included shut off valves that are very easy to turn. This is important to my wife who has arthritic hands. We will call Jim Wagner Plumbing for our next plumbing need and specifically ask for Kevin. (I found Jim Wagner Plumbing on the internet because our regular plumber was unavailable due to the Holidays).

This was our first introduction to Kevin Geyer, a Wagner plumber. His work correcting a problem with one of our toilets was excellent; and when I queried him on faucets in another room that had stiffened over time, he asked for a few minutes and corrected the problem. At no expense! Kevin is obviously good at his job, thoroughly explains the problem and how it would be addressed, is neat, caring of our floors and furniture, and generally a most pleasant individual. We will ask for him again.

Highly recommend! I filled out the form online. They respond very quickly, understand what you need, and provide a fair quote. We have lived in our house for 25 years, and I wanted to make sure our sewer line from our house to the street was clear. Jim was great. He explained what he was going to do and provided an estimate of how long it might take. After Jim was done, he explained what he saw, and then within 2 days, we received the video of the inspection and pipe. The whole experience was great, and I highly recommend using them!

Jason arrived early, and called as he was approaching so I could come downstairs to greet him. I have sever arthritis and this was greatly appreciated. Jason quickly diagnosed the problem and explained the issue simply and thoroughly. He gave me options to consider and provided pros and cons of each. He also identified a couple of other issues with our plumbing that needed to be addressed.When Jason returned to install our new sump pump system, he was on time and once again called before he arrived. He did the work quickly and professionally. No muss, no fuss. He calibrated the system for us, and then showed us how to do that ourselves if we needed to make changes. He also discussed the other issues with us. In all, Jason was skilled, professional, and did a great job. Its difficult to call expensive plumbing services as a good value, but we got what we needed from Jason. IT was money well spent. We would use Jim Wagner Plumbing again in a heartbeat.

Wow! What a great company! I had a broken toliet and needed it fixed or replaced. Both Dan and Stanley came out within the time they told me. Very professional. Explained the cost difference from fixing vs getting a new toliet. WARNING! DO NOT EVER USE ANY OF THOSE TYDEBOWL DROPS OR THE ONES THAT HANG ON THE SIDE OF THE TOLIET! I totaly damanged my toliet and needed to replace it. Both techs explained the cost and it was half of what I thought it would be! They were in and out within 2 hours, and now I have a new toliet. Highly recommend them for their price, speedy service, and professionalism.

The pump on the ejector pit for our basement bathroom, ice maker, bar sink and AC drains failed late on a Sunday night after a party. Raw sewage was starting to overflow into the furnace utility room. We called 6 services, but got either no answer or would not come until the next day earliest. We called Jim Wagner next on the list and they were wonderfully understanding and immediately helpful.Jason was there in under an hour. He explained the situation thoroughly and laid out all the options for fixing the situation and respective prices. Given it was an after hours emergency service, I was pleasantly surprised at how reasonable and fair the cost was to fix the system.Jason did a great job replacing the pump and check valve. He explained to me how everything worked, and a short term fix to bypass the switch if it were ever to fail in the future. He then completely cleaned up the mess and sanitized everything to the point where it was cleaner than before the backup. Jason was very courteous, friendly and professional, even though he got called out at midnight on a Sunday night. Thank you!!

Jason from Jim Wagner Plumbing quickly assessed our situation and confirmed what we thought to be the case - needing to replace our water heater. He told us exactly what he would need to do with replacing the water heater including some necessary cleanup that he observed with the initial installation. It took him only 10 minutes for him to write up a detailed quote with options - almost a la carte - and explained what was necessary and what wasnt. Luckily, he was able to obtain a replacement water heater from their supplier and took 4 hours to remove and install the new water heater. Jason did a real clean job and we are happy to recommend him and Jim Wagner Plumbing. Another thing, their dispatch and customer service representatives were also very pleasant to work with.

Jason was respectful of my home. He put shoe booties on before coming into my living room. He put down a clean canvas tarp in my bathroom and hall. He asked where he could put the top of the toliet tank. In the past other people from different companies put it on my marble sink counter and scratched it. So I was happy that he thought about things before doing them. He explained everything that needed doing before he started working and went over the price. He worked professionally and he cleaned up before he left. He washed the floor around my toilet with Lysol. This was such a pleasant surprise. I will be asking for him by name in the future. Really happy with Jim Wagner Plumbing and especially Jason who fixed my problem. We were promised by another company all day long then admitted they were overbooked and wouldn’t make it. So we called JWP and got a call immediately from Jason he was working another job but could be over in an hour or so. He called again to let me know he was on his way and because it was foggy, raining, late (9:40PM). I stood out on the front porch with a flashlight so he could find our house. Jim Wagner Plumbing was great, and Jason in particular! The alarm on our sump pumps battery backup system went off this morning so we called Jim Wagner. They said they could send someone out that very afternoon, and gave us a window from 2pm to 5pm. The office called shortly after the opening of that time window and said a plumber was on his way. Less than 15 minutes later Jason arrived. He quickly diagnosed the root cause and was able to temporarily fix the problem with supplies we already had on hand. Then he inspected the rest of the sump pump system to make sure everything was working. Finally, he very clearly and patiently explained the situation to me, and explained each of the different options in detail for long-term solutions to the problem, including accurate pricing information for each option. My wife and I will consider each of the different options, and well be sure to call Jim Wagner Plumbing again and specifically ask for Jason when we decide what we want to do. I feel the charge for todays service call was very reasonable. All in all, Im extremely happy we decided to call Jim Wagner Plumbing, and Im glad they sent out someone as knowledgeable and experienced as Jason.

However the service was VERY expensive. $450 for a job that took about an hour, even a little less, and this price did not include the pump, which we supplied. In a pinch you can feel comfortable that this company will do a good job, but if you have time definitely get other quotes.

We had Joe out 2 times to advise on how to address sewage back flow at our lowest level laundry room drain. Joe was realistic about solutions and costs. He then recommended returning with the excavation crew to clear my tile and create clean out axis before and after our Eveready shut off system. They did a great job. One suggestion is that since I am a very visual learner, I could have used drawings very early in the process to help me better understand what we needed and the options to consider to address problems. Also, I think written instructions on how to monitor and reduce the resulting dirt mounds over the next few months should have been provided; I initiated the discussion on follow-up. Dan came by later that same day to repair two leaking toilets. He gave us information and prices on replacements as well as repairs. He had to address one of the toilets with a secondary solution when the initial fix didnt stop the continuous tank-filling. The workers and paper work are very good and the office support/communication is excellent.

Joe came out and quickly determined the problem. We needed a new sewer pipe from the house to the main. It wasnt a dire emergency, but it couldnt wait the week a standard call would be. Julie, office manager, got right onto the permit and dealing with DuPage Co. Two days later theyre out here fixing it. The whole crew was friendly, respectful and worked hard. They took extra care of plants and the Invisible dog fence we have. They left the property in as close to the same condition as when they arrived. The whole project took about 6 hours. Im very pleased.

As a first time home buyer, and a first time gas burning dryer owner...we ran into the issue of a gas leak. Nicor came out and recommended we call a plumber for a repair. We called many companies, with no same-day availability, until we called Jim Wagner Plumbing, Inc. The young lady who answered the phone was very friendly, knowledgeable, took down our information and considered us an emergency. Within 1-2 hours, a repair man was at our home. Jason took the time to describe to us exactly what was needed, then provided the estimate on site. He was able to perform the necessary work quickly and professionally, and made sure to show us exactly what he did and gave us some good insight on what to look for and how to find another gas leak (hopefully we wont need to do that anytime soon!)Could not recommend Jim Wagner Plumbing more!!

Jason came to install a kitchen faucet that I purchased from a home improvement store. The shut off valves required replacement as they could not be turned without damaging them. I had also asked to have a third valve installed that would be dedicated to the dishwasher.He ran into a couple of snags due the age of the existing plumbing, but was able to do complete the work as originally quoted and within the expected time frame. He replaced the existing shut off valves, added piping for the new valve and installed the new faucet.

When you have ANY plumbing issue, here is the first thing to do--CALL JIM WAGNER PLUMBING! This past Saturday afternoon, I found water gushing out of the first floor laundry room floor drain. I immediately called Jim Wagner Plumbing, and they responded with a serviceman at my door within an hour. The serviceman, Greg F., quickly diagnosed the problem as a broken underground sewer line just outside of the house. Greg did everything he could to drain as much water out of the sewer line as possible on Saturday to prevent further backup. On Sunday morning, Greg was back to do the prep work to replace the broken sewer line. This morning after securing the necessary permits, etc., Greg was back along with a crew to excavate the area outside so they could replace the broken sewer line. This major job was completed this morning within about 4 hours! I cannot say enough about the professional service from Jim Wagner Plumbing. The best! We called several different plumbers and they talked about replacing our water pipes, finding sludge in the pipes, and many other expensive-sounding options. But Chris Budlovsky from Jim Wagner Plumbing ruled out these other supposed issues easily. He simply checked our main house valves and found they were not opening properly. He replaced one valve, but it did not do the trick. He said it was the line connected to the Village and he immediately called the Village Hall. They were at our home within 10 minutes! After the Village did its part and left, Chris replaced the inside valve in that line. Everything was restored in about an hour!!! Chris is a fine, fine plumber.Aside from Chriss services, he was also the happiest, most pleasant, and knowledgeable plumber we have ever had in our 43 years of marriage. The vertical kitchen sink drain pipe that comes out the wall was corroded and had no threads left. The plumbing under the sink fell off in my hands. Chris from Wagner came out, explained the fix, and quoted me a flat rate to do the repair. He had to open up the wall with a saws-all, cut away the old pipe and do more of the same in the downstairs ceiling. Everything was replaced with PVC. While it was fairly expensive, it was a 5-star top-rated job, top quality. I do not have to worry about this anymore. Chris was very courteous, friendly and answered all my questions and then some. We had Nathaniel come out to replace our sump pump when it went out during a storm. We had water flooding into our basement and Nathaniel headed our way as soon as he received our call. He had the pump replaced and water receding in no time. We originally went with a basic pump, a good one, but no backup pump or battery backup. Nathaniel gave us all our options and gave the pros and cons of each and it was our decision to go with that pump. About a week and a half later, and no end to the rain in sight, we called Nathaniel to come back out and replace the new pump with a dual pump system and battery backup. After getting up multiple times every night to make sure no water was coming in the basement, my husband decided he needed a better system so he could sleep at night. Nathaniel installed the new system quickly and took the time to make sure the cords were neatly held out of the way so it all looked clean and organized. He explained everything we needed to know about the new system and what we should do going forward to ensure we never have to worry about a broken sump pump again. Unbelievably the power went out that night for about an hour, we had just finished having the basement remediated and started the remodel. Had we not had the new system installed we would have had to start all over again! And remediation is expensive! What a relief to see that battery backup kick in and save our sanity! Having water flood into your home and having no way to stop it is a very scary and helpless feeling. Nathaniel is friendly and funny, both qualities helped us to calm down during our first encounter with him when we were standing in flood water in our home. I’ve already recommended him and Jim Wagner Plumbing to multiple friends, and I will continue to do so. I can’t say enough good things about their service.

Work was started immediately and completed in a timely and professional manner. Gus was outgoing, informative, and a true professional. Requesting service was completed online and I received a call from the office within 30 minutes and simply selected my service appointment date and time. Overall great service, professional staffing and clean and organized service vehicles. After NiCor shut off my heat due a leaky pipe, I scrambled to find some help. At 9:00pm I sent an email to Jim Wagner, not expecting to hear from them until the morning. Within 45 minutes I received a call from one of their technicians and scheduled an appointment in the morning. He came on time, informed me of what the problem was and how he could fix it immediately. He did exactly what he stated and I got to turn the heat on in my house! I never used them before, never even heard of the company, but I will certainly use them again.

Nate Reed was the plumber that came to our house late Friday night after I discovered the house shut off valve leaking. Thankfully the only thing that was wrong was a loose packing nut. He could have charged me upwards of $700 to cut out and replace the valve, but was honest enough to just tighten the nut and give me a lesson on the mechanics of shut off valves for the cost of the emergency visit fee. Highly recommend.

I really have to thank Greg. He gave me back my kitchen...for weeks Ive been trying to unclog it myself without success and just getting more and more frustrated. He came out, was on time, quickly assessed the issue, and took care of it. He is very experienced.He also gave me some advice, about how dangerous Draino and other drain cleaners are, and as a chemist, I agree. In fact, in the future, I will NOT go that way again. Draino doesnt work. In fact, with as much as I spent trying to do it myself, the cost was the same as calling these guys, and THEY are safer!!I have some other issues that I need fixed and when it comes time to do that, I will be giving Jim Wagner Plumbing a call.
