Technician Clinton did a great job on the work that I needed done. He was on time and when he changed out the existing 3 gang switch to a 4 gang switch he made sure that the light switches were in an order that I wanted. He also did a great job of vacuuming up afterwards from the drywall that needed to be cut. I would definitely use Rytec Electric for any future jobs.

Great job installing a chandelier from 20 ft. foyer ceiling. After a first attempt with a big ladder, Cody came back with a scaffold and 6 ft ladder on top to complete the job successfully. He also made sure our floors were protected with mats and blankets. Entire experience including estimate, scheduling and work in home was done professionally.

Update 8/8/24: Since my original review a year ago, we have used Rytec Electric for several more projects. These people are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. Their prices are very competitive and their work ethic is 1st Class! Not only is the quality of their work exemplary, their electrician Clinton, after hearing about project ideas I had in mind, gave me two suggestions that I hadnt even thought about. I hired Rytec to wire a new garage/barn pole building. I was impressed with Clinton’s work and his ideas and suggestions. He never complained as it took three trips to figure out how we were going to run power to the building and doing an appraisal fir each. Clinton also returned 3 fixtures to my supplier and swapped them for three that were better suited for my building. I am pleased with their work and his coworker ( can’t remember his name but I think James?) as they took the time to conceal the wires as best they could on the rafters and support beams. I will use them again for future projects.

I asked for and got four estimates for our electrical projects. The work order involved installing a new electric breaker panel, new portable generator, troubleshooting lack of electric power in home office and installing three GFCI receptacles. Though the lag time between the initial visit from Rytec and cost estimate was longer than anticipated, I kept waiting for the Rytec estimate because the online reviews of their work (e.g., Angie’s List) were positive. Rytec scheduled the work within one week of rendering a final estimate! Clinton and the owner, Steven Scheeler (who is a licensed electrician) arrived on time and were on site from about 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. They were extremely conscientious, courteous and professional. Did not even bother to take lunch. Clinton was able to identify and fix the faulty receptacle in our home office in less than one hour. Walked me through and demonstrated how to operate the new generator. Cleaned up while doing the work. First-rate job installing the new electric breaker panel. Impressed with the obvious rapport between Steven and Clinton. Clearly, Steven does a good job of working with, leading and managing Rytec personnel. Kudos too to the operations manager, Tyler Best, who kept me informed and responded to my many questions. I was so impressed with their work on this job that when Steven said our upstairs receptacles were wired to accommodate three-prong receptacles (we had almost all two-prong outlets) I asked them to come back and replace them. Gary and Kip returned a week later and got the work done in a few hours. No hesitation in calling on Rytec Electric again when need electrical work done.

Job was completed in approximately 4 hrs.Cleanness: The team did not leave any trash behind. I needed a dedicated outlet and a secondary outlet installed in the crawlspace before next week. I initially called several other smaller electrician companies and never heard back. It was hard to find a responsive company. Then it dawned on me my parents have used Rytec before for their house. So I called them up and Sam had a sales rep Cody come out immediately that day. He was nice and got the estimate created. The first booking was a few days later but we’re the only ones that could do it this week. Clinton and Josh came out. They were very friendly and got to work quickly. They were very patient and got it all done fast. I definitely had a great experience from start to finish and would be calling them again in the future.

Rytec has done work on my personal home by installing an outlet in my bathroom and running a line to install a light fixture in my formal living room. They show up on time and do excellent work with very good customer service. I have also recommended Rytec to clients of mine who needed to swap out a Federal Pacific Panel Box, and they did excellent work for them as well. In addition to the panel box swap, they grounded about 16 outlets for these clients, and ended up coming in $1,000 below their original quote, which is something VERY rare these days. I would recommend Rytec to anyone needing electrical work done, and Clinton specifically did excellent work for both jobs mentioned above!

I called several companies to get a quote on installing new electric service in my garage to support Tesla electric vehicle chargers. I got quotes from three companies, including Rytec.I chose to go with Rytec for the following reasons:- Rytec had excellent reviews on Google- Rytec had the lowest price proposal of the 3 received- Spencer, the electrician who came to evaluate the work, was well-spoken, friendly and professional. We discussed several ways to accomplish the task, and the pros and cons of each.Once the plan was received, here is how the project went:- I had a few questions about the dimensions of the panels they planned to install. I called the office and Steve went over the project, and then pulled the panel from his warehouse to give me specific dimensions.- After accepting the quote, permits were requested from my county- The work was scheduled to begin within 10 days- Within two days I had an emailed quote for the work.- Rytec coordinated with the power company and the county electrical inspector for the installation date (power had to be removed from my home)- They arrived on time the day of install with two electricians (Spencer and Michael), who approached the project with energy and focus. Both electricians had valuable experience doing other charger installs for electric vehicles- The end result was a beautifully installed solution, with attention to detail and fully inspectedI highly recommend Rytec, and commend Spencer and Michael for their workmanship and skill. Also, I thank Amanda and staff in the office for answering my questions and making contact before, during and after the install to make sure I was satisfied. Great work folks!!

Our neighborhood was taken apart by a super cell or tornado not sure which. My power was out and my electric panel attached to outside of house was ripped off the building. My power company does not restore power until that box is fixed. I called Rytec and from the moment I spoke to Lori she made me feel comfortable and that she cared. I sent her some pictures of the damage and the sent Steve out that day. Steve could not have been more cooperative and walked me through the whole process. We bought a home that had some terrible DIY work done and so we wanted it fixed and inspected to ensure our house doesnt burn down. They came out quickly gave us an estimate and scheduled a time to fix things immediately. This is the second time we have used them, found out our breaker box had several switches connected to the same breaker. Again we dont need our home to burn down. They came out quickly and fixed everything we asked for. Best part was they sent the same electrician who actually remembered us and the work they previously did. Super thankful. They replaced my breaker box with an upgraded one and, set up switches and an outlet to let me plug my generator into the house wiring. I was very impressed with the thoroughness of the labeling of the main electrical panel. They found the rooms and appliances for each breaker and labeled it accordingly. Had a 220 line installed from the box to the backyard for a hot tub. Rytec Electric by far was the most inexpensive and provided great service with coming out to talk and told me what was going to be done. They came out on time and did a great job getting everything installed. Would recommend to anyone who needs any electric services done with a fair price. If I have any other electrical needs I will use again.

I recently had a remodel of my upstairs office and foyer that required adding electrical outlets to the new part of the room, removing a 25 ceiling chandelier in the foyer and repositioning it to the new foyer ceiling, changing the light switch from the entry way of the front of the house to the new office doorway, installation of a new fan ( and taking the old one down), repositioning two existing electrical outlets and installing two more new ones. This was quite an extensive job and due to the construction of the existing walls/entry/foyer and it being a two story house, required a lot of work. Spencer and Isaiah were sent out to do the job and did an excellent job on everything. They were sent out to the job expecting a basic call and found out that it was much more detailed and than what was expected. Their cleanup after finishing the project was very good. They took away the old fan and boxes, sweeping up dirt and wood chips as they finished. Ive tried several other electrical companies and havent had good luck. Id highly recommend Rytec.

Joe in the Wilmington, NC area, came all the way across town on a late Friday afternoon in tons of traffic to fix a small electric outlet issue. My elderly mother suffers from severe anxiety and this could have been a disaster for us. Joe didnt have to come out so late especially since she called so late. He was extremely professional and couldnt have been more genuinely kind and patient with my mother. We need more people like Joe in any line of work!
