    RL Rider did a lot of work for us, involving major upgrades to our homes exterior. The contract process was the clearest and most transparent I have ever seen. As work progressed, everyone we dealt with was professional, competent, and courteous. When surprises came up (as they will, sadly, with almost every major home improvement), the Rider staff proved to be creative problem-solvers. They truly exceeded expectations, and we would work with them again in a heartbeat.

    We partnered with RL Rider for a major renovation project and they did not disappoint. They were very patient with us as we went through the design process. We had a pretty good idea what we wanted to accomplish but very much appreciated their guidance and expertise and taking the time to explore options with us. We renovated around 600 sq ft by taking out an existing bedroom, taking down walls from the galley style kitchen, opening up a stairway and replacing a fireplace. This was no small undertaking and they did a superb job. Workmanship is very high quality and project management was excellent. When things came up, as they will in a project of this size, they were always on top of it and looking for solutions. I would highly recommend this company for your remodeling project.

    R L Rider was incredible with communication and staying on schedule with the project. They quickly came up with a visual of our basement and made any updates we needed. As we found items in our basement that needed more work than we thought they quickly pivoted, contacted contractors, and updated any costs. Everyone was so nice and friendly! Our finished basement is beautiful 🤩 I would highly recommend them!

    We requested a large paver patio, fire pit, retaining wall, and composite decking be installed late fall of 2020. We interviewed several builders/contractors in the greater Lansing area, and chose RL Rider based on their excellent reviews, determination to win the bid, and immediate personal connection.From day 1, the team at RL Rider was friendly, engaged, and professional. Not only did they accommodate each of our requests, but they offered creative suggestions and expertise throughout the project. When unexpected issues arose, they worked with us to solve the issues quickly.Communication is important to us. The RL Rider team responded quickly to each text, phone call, and email.As for the project itself, the results have exceeded our expectations. The new space is beautiful and well built. The team already plans to do another inspection in the Spring after the ground has thawed, just to make sure everything is perfect.We are already planning our next home improvement project and RL Rider will be the first builder we contact.

    I used the services of RL Rider for a finished basement project during the summer. During all the phases of the project, the different teams that completed the project (from drywall construction workers, to electricians, to carpenters, to painters, carpet installers and the management office) worked with great professionalism: punctual, courteous and efficient. They ensured the house was securely locked when they left at the end of their work day and when we were not home, and handled my house furniture, floors and walls with great care, when making their way toward the basement and moving construction materials around. When I had questions about the timeline or other important project details such as basement floor plans that work best for our specific needs or to place specific orders or any concern, the management was always prompt to respond and addressed my concerns and questions fully, immediately and courteously. Though the time window that I had to complete this project was relatively a tight one, RL Rider earnestly explored all the possible options to accommodate the schedule needs of my family. My family and I are highly satisfied with the finished product and already enjoying the new space addition to our house. I would recommend their services without any hesitation.

    Cam and his crew turned our disaster of a basement into a cheerful and inviting space with organized storage for extra clothes, a great pantry space, a nice open room for exercise equipment, and a closet to hide the trash.     I can not say enough good things about this company! Every time I spoke with Cam he was friendly and answered all my questions. I had a HORRIBLE experience with a contractor before I switched to R. L. Rider and had a lot of road blocks I needed to get over, Cam gave me advice, and was patient and kind. The job started on time, the exact day they said it would. He was clear with what I needed to do before the job could start and the timeline of when I needed to get it done. Kyle did the majority of work in my house, he was professional and patient with my daughter and I. He brought his sense of humor to work with him and seemed to enjoy what he does, this shows in his work. I was actually a little bummed to see the job come to an end. The work is professional, and beautiful.

    We really lucked out when we picked Cam and crew for our make over. From roof to new siding and even building a new dog house to match the house they did a great job. There were a couple of issues but they jumped on the problems and made sure they got corrected immediately. Great people, great work! We can’t recommend them enough.

    Up dated Review: Received a call and email from Ross expressing perfuse apologies for missing 2 scheduled appoints. Ross offered compensation for lost time from work (which we said was unnecessary, but he insisted) and Ross came out the next day to give an estimate for basement remodel. Ross was very professional and answered all of our questions and got back to us with the basement quote in a speedy time. Ross, is a high energy and very kind person. Event though we did not use RL, I would still recommend them based on Ross professionalism.

    RL Rider was a great company to work with for our remodel. The remodel affected 5 out of our 6 main rooms on the ground floor. Their entire staff was very personable, friendly, and always helpful.From the design phase, they gave us a wide variety of options to pick from for flooring, bathroom fixtures, and more. They were able to custom match existing aspects to our older home including oak doors and moldings. They were very responsive to questions and concerns. The workmanship met or exceeded our high expectations.
