I called DOC to get a second opinion because another company said I needed to replace the entire meter on my Dads house. DOC met me the next morning and repaired the meter for a fraction of the cost. Very dependable, prompt and will fix a problem rather than replacing everything until the problem goes away. I highly recommend DOC Electric and I will call them first for now on.

We called Josh to quote us on a number of electrical issues. He promptly came out within the same week and was able to diagnose the issue we were having with our recessed lighting. Josh also converted many of our ballasts over to LEDs and replaced a good number of faulty outlets and switches. The price for the amount of time and work involved was very fair. He is an honest, down-to-earth, good guy that answered any questions we had. Well be using him for future projects as well. Thank you, Josh!

I was told I would need a new central air conditioner, as the current unit has exposed electrical wiring and was a hazard to run. The technician said a new unit would cost me $8800.00 and a used unit with a three year warranty would cost me $3800.00.I was referred to Josh and told he would give me an honest report.He arrived on 29 August 2024 at the time he said. He took a hard look at the central air wiring and my panel box. He discovered that there was rodent damage, but not to the central air unit. It was damage to the wiring that was going to a breaker in the panel box. He quickly repaired the problem, and now I have a working central air unit and the lights that were attached to the breaker are once again functioning.Josh is a honest and straight forward gentleman, and I am grateful that he came to my aid. I cannot recommend him highly enough/

He even put together the wheel kit for my generator, connected the battery, and helped me get it prepped (oil and gas) with a test run to insure it is ready to put in service as needed. If you can get on his schedule, do it. Youll not regret it.

Josh tracked down the problem for the power outage and flipped circuit breaker and fixed it. The circuit breaker for the living room wouldnt stay on but the problem was actually in the sun room. I had new windows installed and a screw had hit a wire in the wall. He did this in a very short time. I was concerned about a dimmer switch that would get hot so he installed one which wont get hot . Hes very knowledgeable,professional and personable. He checked out some other concerns I had and explained everything to me in a way I could understand. His prices were very reasonable and I intend to recommend him to everyone that I know.

I hired D.O.C. to install a connection between my electrical panel and a portable generator I had purchased. When Josh came out to give me an estimate he determined that the generator I had ordered was insufficient for what I wanted. He made recommendations for me to purchase a product that would meet my needs. He was very thorough with his explanations. He then gave me an estimate that I thought was quite fair and told me to call him when I was ready. The estimate was very detailed and explained every thing that was included, He agreed to install the hook-up to my service panel, assemble the generator, test everything and give me training on making the hook-up.When my generator came in Josh was very flexible and got me scheduled. At this time I asked if he could install a ceiling fan while he was here and he said he would. On the day the work was done he arrived on time and did everything promised. I am very satisfied with the work and professionalism. Josh was easy to ask questions of and very friendly.

Josh is not only professional, he is honest and has integrity. I to agreed to his service charge fee but he came to my home and found I did not have an electrical problem within one (1) upon his arrive. I simply did not know my light switch had a dimmer control on it. The integrity manifested when he would not charge me the service fee. Even after I explained to him it was OK because I would be reimbursed by the warranty company. He took the time to tell me to make sure that when the time come to replace the bulbs to make sure to buy the correct bulbs for the dimmer control to work correctly. They are literally the definition of going above and beyond! Whe hurricane Ian passed by, the cover of our electric meter can came off and since it was old we were told the whole system had to be replaced as we wouldnt be able to find a replacement for just the cover. I called multiple electricians and they all pretty much said the same and wouldnt even give me a quote unless I paid for them to go over and quote me. When I called DOC electric they immediately said they may be able to help us find a cover that works. They went to the house on a Tuesday morning and had no luck. Unfortunately we needed to fix this sooner than they were available for the job so we got the quote from someone else that was available to start sooner. A day later Josh called to let me know that he had found a cover that may work and he would try it out... It worked and saved us THOUSANDS! I cant thank Josh enough for going out of his way to help us with such a specific problem and for keeping us in mind for days. I have no doubts theyre the only company Ill reach out to for anything electrical from now on!

He was very honest, I had problems with my pool dial and turned out someone removed the settings...he could have easily gave a story on getting a new electric system of a couple hundred dollars but fixed it with $4.00 parts...super honest! Redid my electric panel and brought up to code, repair, replaced and added what the customer wanted and explained pros/cons. Very friendly and clean in both personal appearance and the mess he made. His prices were reasonable with the quality of work performed. Definitely will rehire for next project and future electrical needs. Hes well worth his price and a Godly man. Yesterday we strung our outdoor Christmas lights (my first ever), plugged them into the outside outlet, and nothing. Nothing. Some friends recommended Josh Darrow’s DOC Electronics. He arrived on time this morning and looked around, testing things. He found that the GFI in the garage activated. He reset it, and lights went on. He explained that this could recur during the holiday season, how to recognize it and how to fix it. He also warned us about the proper use of 2 and 3 prong extension cords. This guy is terrific. He could have ripped us off bigtime. Instead, I got a big friendly s ole from him and an electrical expert that I can trust. I will definitely call him again, and would recommend him in the future. I always try to utilize small businesses when I need work done on my home but Ive found that some are just unreliable and overpriced. This is NOT the case with Josh and DOC Electric. Not only was he able to fit me in for a free estimate to wire in a portable generator but he also helped me with an issue on the fly.
