I’ve had 3 companies out to assess and evaluate the 2 HVAC systems in my house.Jewel was by far the best with professional scheduling, repair, and efficient sales estimates. I also appreciated their office team. When I moved forward with new systems that I’d been considering for 3 years, the purchase and finance options were easy to navigate. I was presented with 3 price, efficiency, and quality options for each system. When installation began, their tech was really good and worked hard several days (in record heat) to ensure all parts of the systems were properly installed. Many code updates were completed with increased air intake and venting improved according to building codes. I’d highly recommend Jewel.

As usual, First Call Jewel, did an excellent job. Ryan replaced our water heater today. Courteous, professional, knowledgable, and the work was done in a timely manner. I called at 7:45 AM, was told they would either get to me today or tomorrow, and that I would be put on the priority list. Water heater was leaking so I shut off the water to it and the electricity. An hour and a half later Ryan called and said he could fit me in. Asked a few questions and was here 30 minutes later. I have used First Call Jewel for many years (well over 20). Used to be called Jewel Electric. If you want high quality work and components, you cant go wrong with First Call Jewel. They will cost a bit more, but well worth it. In the long run it probably cost less.

Just had First Call Jewel and Sean do replacement on water softener and several sink faucet replacements. Sean did a superior job, very knowledgeable and sincerely honest. He is coming back to upgrade a couple of other items.I would recommend Sean and First Call Jewel for all your plumbing needs. We called First Call Jewel to get a 2nd opinion when our water softener quit working. They sent Sean P out the same day . He took a look and due to the age of our unit suggested the best course would be to replace it. In my opinion Sean is extremely knowledgeable and was able to explain in detail the benefits of the unit he was recommending. This was way more helpful than the other guy we had at first. We decided to go with First Call Jewel because of Sean.Sean came back a few days later to install the unit and I was impressed with how easy it went. Hes very personable and was more than happy to answer any questions about what he was doing. There were several things that werent up to code with the prior unit and he explained them and put them right.Sadly that same morning Id noticed one of our water heaters was leaking all of a sudden. I mentioned that to Sean when he arrived and he confirmed it was truly leaking and since it was almost 10 years old we decided to replace it. He was able to have someone deliver a new unit and he installed it that same day. I feel that was going above and beyond since he was really only there for the water softener install.Weve only used First Call Jewel for this plumbing issue but based on our experience I can say I would recommend them and especially Sean.

We needed a new heating and AC system. First Call Jewel responded quickly. Zane was our project manager and did a great job letting us know all the details of our options, but there was no pressure when we were trying to decide between the different cost options. Oscar was very professional with the installation. He was always here when he promised and he did a very good job with the installation. Early in the process, some new problems came to light. Zane was immediately available to change the order around so that we got the installation done without delay.

Oscar arrived at our home on time, took time to protect our carpet throughout the access through the house, and went straight to work. He explained every step as he tore out the old furnace and carefully brought in the new one. He worked tirelessly all day in order to have the new furnace in and working before he left so we had heat.Oscar is welcome any time in our home!

Very courteous, clean appearance & friendly. Was very knowledgeable about the fireplace problems; explained them to us in a way we could understand. Recommend a new seal which he will order and install later. Even as sooty as it was, he made sure there was no mess. Checked the AC and furnace. The filter he had was not the correct one, so he will order one and install later. We seem to have the filter problem every year despite the call with your office to confirm it. Please send the correct one in the future. He was very kind to our dog who liked him as well, especially when he repaired her fireplace. Top rating for Cody. Always a pleasure to have him do our service!

We were referred to First Call Jewel by our neighbor who has used FCJ for years and always been happy. We needed to have our furnace checked over and a new modern thermostat installed. We were so impressed with Sebastian who came out within an hour of my call. He was kind and professional and did a great job. Were so impressed that Im calling them back to do a full electrical evaluation they offer. I cant recommend them enough. Also, no high pressure for other services or products!Update: 8/29/24 Sebastian from First Call Jewel came out today because we needed our freestanding gas fireplace checked before winter. As always Jewel was quick to respond and does quality work.Between the initial review and this update... Jewel replumbed our entire home as well as a new hot water heater and water softener. Theyre just a quality company with quality people and in our opinion worth the little extra money you MAY pay over other companies.

Cody assessed my plumbing needs, and then we made a plan to replace 2 shower valves that required cutting the existing tile to get access to the valves. He then replaced the leaking valves with high quality replacements and covered the old tile around the valves with attractive cover pieces. He and his helper also replaced a whole house water filter. All of the work was done well and in a very timely manner. They were courteous, helpful and great problem solvers. They also did a wonderful job of cleaning up! I recommend them highly.

First Call Jewel has been awesome to work with. Tina (I think that was her name) in the office got me set up with the technicians I needed for two very different services, and was a delight to work with - we had each other laughing each time weve spoken. I got a call from Tina the day before confirming the appointments, and both technicians called about 20 minutes before they were at the door with an eta. I will admit both days the appointment slot was 8 am so they wouldnt have called any sooner than that but I suspect for later in the day they would have. Cody did an awesome job on my furnace tune-up (despite my dog sticking her nose in to try to help), and was very professional to work with. Didnt try to pressure me into extras, but was very clear about what he did and didnt recommend going forward to best use our system and get years of life out of it. He left the work area honestly probably cleaner than he found it. Spencer came out for an exterior outlet that bit the dust, and was able to get it back up and running - with a new and slick looking cover to not have the problem again. As with every interaction with the company, Spencer was very professional, careful to keep the work space clean and even helped answer a few other electrical questions we had with the house. 10 out of 10 for both gentlemen, and will be calling only First Call Jewel for future needs. Excellent value for the cost, solid work, and easy to work with.

This year (2024) I had to replace my heat pump. The old system made it through 20 Idaho winters. First Call Jewel has serviced my old equipment keeping it going for several years. Recently I contacted them because they have been very responsive and professional for the last several years. I live in Mackay Idaho and have had great difficulty finding a business that was responsive in the past. First Call Jewel has been on it since day one. After advising them, this year, that I was interested in replacing my heat pump I had a sale associate at my house within a day or two. David P, an awesome guy, provided me with options for replacement and I just had to make a decision which I did. The following Monday Jacob O showed up and started the instillation which took a couple of days. Everyone from First Call Jewel has been great to work with in the past and Jacob was no exception. Very professional, knowledgeable and willing to share the process with me. I might add that the job was not without its installation hurdles, however Jacob O used his patience and knowledge so I was truly impressed with work ethic. Its now been several weeks since the installation and the system is working flawlessly. First Call Jewell Electric is AMAZING!!! We contacted them to do a check up/maintenance on our freestanding gas fireplace. Emanuel, their technician, did a complete assessment on restarting our gas fireplace, checked everything from turning on the natural gas, cleaning the pilot, restarting the fireplace, checked the thermostat on the wall, and made sure the blower and all parts of the fireplace were working properly. Emanuel also checked the fire alarm and the carbon monoxide alarm in our family room where the fireplace is, were both working properly! From the initial call to their office to the final closeout by Emanuel, everyone was very professional, and we appreciated all involved. Thank you!!!

Delta came to do a tune up on my air conditioning and to see if it needed any repairs as it wasn’t blowing cold air. He was thorough with his diagnostic testing to id with the potential problems and made sure the air was working in its best shape before he left. He followed up the next day to check to make sure everything was working properly. I’ve also asked this company to come provide an estimate on installing a unit since I’ve had such a positive experience. Affordable and dependable, I recommend them!

Our service techs name was Delta. He was extremely professional and efficient. I described the furnace problem to him and he hypothesized accurately what the issue was. Within the next 15 minutes he had solved our furnace issue which turned out to be a simple maintenance fix that he showed me what I could do to prevent in the future. Delta also indicated some bad corrosion inside my furnace unit that was resulting from a leaky component for which he recommended a replacement. He provided an estimate within the next 15 minutes and overall I was very pleased with the service. First Call Jewel is very fortunate to have employees like Delta and should do him the service of giving him a raise or a promotion or something to acknowledge his great service. Then he discussed everything with us, including numerical measurements, photos of developing age-related problems, and hard copy write-up of everything, which is on file at the office. Spencer came out this year to do a regular service in our generator. Prompt, communicative, efficient, super friendly.Spencer came out last year to replace our generator battery, which had stopped working. As our weather often gets into the negatives, Spencer recommended a battery insulator, which we thought we had but did not, and is likely why our battery quit working in under two years. Spencer had the battery insulator with him, and installed that for us as well. We have had Spencer in the past for service on the generator. He is an awesome guy! Jacob installed a propane forced air furnace and whole house air conditioner for us. Jacob did an excellent job on the install and was a pleasure to see everyday that he worked on our project. Eric did an outstanding job and accomplished everything we needed in 2 days, which would have taken me more than a week to accomplish for sure.
