4/28/2020 Update: We recently called T Smith Plumbing because when our washing machine was draining our downstairs drains would gurgle. Thinking snaking the drain line was all that was needed, it ended up being a bad back flow valve from the city sewer to our house. The problem was quickly diagnosed and immediately taken care of. Highly recommend T Smith Plumbing for any plumbing needs. They come quickly and do things right the first time.Contacted Tony to have an outside natural gas line extended for a gas grill. I e-mailed him pictures of the existing line and where I wanted it to end and he provided an estimate in minutes. Upon coming out to the house to come up with a game plan he realized that the distance was less than he figured from the pictures and was able to come down a good bit on his price. They completed the job the next day while we were away and couldnt be more pleased with the work. They put the connection exactly where we discussed, painted everything to protect from rust. It is secured very solidly to the side of the house and should not move.We highly recommend T Smith Plumbing and will call them in the future if we need a plumbing contractor. The only Gastonia plumbers who are rated higher have less than 10 reviews, with close to 90 Google reviews and a 4.6 rating T Smith Plumbing was the obvious choice.

I reached out to Tony at 7:30am regarding a water heater that was not working. He tried to diagnose it over the phone in order to save me the service call fee, and then did some research on the parts that I may need in order to resolve the issue. The parts would take over a week to arrive so I settled on replacing the 16 year old water heater since the cost was not that much more. Tony and his team arrived late in the afternoon after working me into the schedule, and they did not leave my home until after 8pm. The service they provided was professional and those guys were still friendly even after a 12+ hour day. The water heater was on the 2nd floor of my home in a small closet, and the job was difficult but was done very well. I would recommend Tony to anyone, and will have him back out to repair a leaking shower soon.

I highly recommend T. Smith Plumbing and will absolutely do business with them again. Tony and his crew did an excellent job replacing the sewer line at my house. Tony is very responsive to phone calls and texts. I was very impressed that he had a work crew at my house the same day I called with my emergency situation. The crew was very professional and helpful. They were able to assess what needed to be done and do the work the same day. It was a major project. I was so happy no hotel room was needed which saved me money. His price for a major job was very reasonable. Definitely call Tony if you need an awesome plumber.

I highly recommend these guys! I had issues with pressure fluctuation on a well system. I had one company out to do the repair with no success...of course I couldn’t get in contact with them after I paid them. I called T Smith the same day and they were able to pinpoint the issue. Tony and his crew were very friendly, thoughtful, and professional. They arrived on time and diagnosed the issue within minutes. They replaced my tank, regulator, and pipes for a fair price and ensured that the work resolved the issue prior to leaving. I will definitely be using these guys in the future. Thank you guys again!

Tony was easy to get a hold of and communicate with. On the day of our appointment he called ahead of time to verify our appointment and that our address was correct. Tony and his team displayed a great deal of care when it comes to the health and safety of us and his team. We never had to ask him to wear a mask indoors and he wanted to make sure we were safely isolated from him as well. While we called Tony to help us install a filter and redo plumbing under our sink, he also gave us advice on minor plumbing issues that we can take care of ourselves. We appreciate that he didnt try to sell us on additional work for something we can do on our own.If youre looking for a high quality, experienced, friendly plumber that cares about the health and safety of you, your family, and his team then Tony is your guy.

I was SO impressed by this couple. I emailed (through the website) to get a price and Tony emailed me right back. I also called into the office to make an appointment and Mrs. Smith was just so sweet and helpful! Within 30 min, Tony was on the phone making arrangements to get someone to my house within the hour. Josh came out and was great! When one thing wouldnt work, he would try something else. He never gave up until it was completely fixed and running smoothly! He really went out of his way to help. I was having problems with my water heater not heating. They came out the next day and the pilot light was out so they lit the pilot light and we thought that fixed the issue but it didnt. I called Tony the next morning and he was back out the same day. I wound up needing a new water heater (mine was 11 years old) but only after they tried to fix the problem without charging me! Tony is very accessible and prompt in returning calls. The whole experience was great and the price of the heater and installation was very reasonable. I highly recommend T Smith Plumbing!

I had called Wednesday I was sure my dishwasher was leaking and was worried about my floor and cabinets. I only had to call once and received the most kindness and professional service over the phone. I knew I had to hire these guys. You see I have an 80 year old mothers at home that I cherish very much! i could not be there for their service call. Mr. Smith understood that and assured me that his employees were very considerate as he was also. This is the second time I have used T. Smith Plumbing and again had a great experience. Two years ago I found this company on Angies List and they replaced a toilet in our guest bathroom. A few weeks ago another toilet needed to be replaced. It happened on a Sunday and I looked up their number and sent a message asking him to call me the next day. I was so surprised when Tony called me later that day (Sunday) to discuss the problem and schedule the appointment. His guys arrived on time, were very professional, got the job done quickly and didnt leave a mess. Tony contacted me the next day to follow up and make sure I was everything was working properly. Great customer service, we will definitely use them again.

A+++++++ These guys were wonderful! Our well went out overnight somehow - a chain plumbing service responded and analyzed the issue and gave us a quote - we did our due diligence and called around. The owner of TS Facetimed me so I could show him exactly what we were dealing with - gave me a rough quote over the phone, and sent his guys out here within the hour. They actually were able to save us a lot of money as the initial quote for repair from the other Chain Company was wrong! These guys were also willing to add on another side-project at the last minute and fixed up our renovated shower. They were polite, clean, responsive, and a reasonable price! We will be saving their information and recommending them to everyone who needs a good plumber!

We had a major plumbing issue the morning of my daughters birthday party. It was a major problem that forced us to shut off the water. It was the definition of an emergency. When our well water motor stopped working one morning, Tony had someone out within an hour to look at it, and give us an appraisal. Our well was rather old, and they had to do a lot in order to get it up and running, but that didnt stop them from getting it done by the end of the day.He is real easy to work with, informative, and fair priced. I will recommend him and his team to anyone who is on well water. Their service was excellent and amazing.

Our sump pump on the well just died after 25 years of faithful pumping. T. Smith sent out his people and they found a crazy set up the original owners had installed. They installed a new pump but the water didnt pump so they tried to instruct is over the phone how to fix it. I finally said this isnt something in our wheelhouse of skills and, at 7pm on a Friday night, the most polite and diligent worker named DJ came out and spent several hours in the dark in our woodsy backyard fixing our problem. If I have ANY problems in the future that T. Smith can address, I will be calling in them. Highly recommend.

Cannot speak any more highly about this company. We choose Mr. Smith and his crew to replace our water line to our home because of the already great google reviews. After speaking with him on the phone I new we wanted him for the job. Cheapest price out of the 3 estimates we received, but dont let that fool you! Mr. Smith is extremely knowledgeable, and wants to do the job right so the next time you may have to call him it wont be for the reason you called him in the first place. His crew was extremely polite and respectful and work hard to get the job done quickly but to the highest standard. If you need a reliable plumber at a reasonable cost and quality work then look no further!

I had a very serious plumbing issue that had my toilets backed up and unable to use any water in my home. I called and left tony a message and within 15 mins he returned my call AND had his guys on their way to my home. This was a 2 part process and was quoted by the local big company that does HVAC and plumbing at over $6000. Tony was able to do it under $3000.His guys are top notch, Jesse and Dustin especially. They explain what they are doing, if there is an alternative and what they have experienced in order to make it as easy on you as possible. Tonys mantra is that he wants your business for life, not just this job. We need more people in the community like Tony taking care of people, not gouging them.Will only use T Smith Plumbing moving forward!

I called Tony to talk about a potential leak/dripping sound coming from the ceiling. Before sending someone out to investigate, Tony kindly walked me through some steps I could take to determine if there was a leak, and where it was coming from. He spent a solid 45 minutes with me, on FaceTime, running different tests. At the end of our investigation, I was confident that I did not have a leak, and the noise was a different type of noise. Tonys time and patience saved me money. He didnt have to take the time he did to help me out, but Im so thankful he did.

Let me start by saying that we just finished building our home, so in the last 2 years we have had alot of exposure to contractors and sub-contractors. Tony and his crew (Josh and Dustin) are cut from a different cloth. I was amazed by the entire process with Tony and crew. We had them convert our traditional water heater to a tankless. From the initial meeting to quote, to the final installation, the process was PAINLESS. We were never told no you cant do it like that or that it was inconvenient to do it right. The pride these guys take in their work is refreshing. The installation is beautiful, everything was done properly (permits pulled and inspected), the functionality is amazing, and it was done in a very timely and convenient manner. We were never without water while home, they planned everything around us. They were there when they said they would be (you would be surprised how rare this is for contractors apparently) and we were always told what to expect and when. Ill just sum it up like this. Tony made it easy. Removing an interior water heater, and plumbing an exterior tankless, was easy. Im happy to tell everyone I know that needs plumbing work to call Tony, no hesitation. He even took the time to check my CO detectors and anti-scald settings on my kids shower. These guys are at a different level. Good job gentlemen.

I had a plumber out to my house before I called these guys, he told me my septic tank was full , so we had it pumped ...guess what we still had problems, sinks and tubs slow draining . Sunday morning toilets would not go down and I had family coming over a 1:00. I called these guys and they saved me, they came out within an hour of my call. From the first phone call to Tony Smiths it was apparent that he was genuinely concerned about my problem and wasted no time in checking it out for me. He and his crew had to plow in a new line from the meter base to the house and did an outstanding job. The yard was left nice and neat. When the renter at this property failed to properly insulate the new line after installation and it froze and burst, I called Tony and he went someone right out and repaired it at no charge! The initial replacing of the line was already done at a very affordable price and to do this repair for no additional charge was awesome. I highly recommend this company for all your plumbing needs. They are dependable, courteous, and stand behind their work.

By 5p the line was repaired, with before and after pictures, and full explanation of all the work. All this service on a Saturday afternoon! I know who I will call next time.
