The plumbing technician, Omar, was very professional, friendly, knowledgeable and thorough!!He looked over all the water connections throughout the house and pointed out problems and potential problems and recommended resolutions to all of them.At the end he presented the estimates to do the work with various options.He explained how the estimates are only good for 30 days based on current prices and that he would be the one to come back within that timeframe, and how after 30 days the prices and his availability might change.Overall, he did an outstanding inspection!!

Ŵe needed to have routine maintenence done on our heating system. We saw Michael and Sons commercial offering it for a low price and called to book an appointment. We were impressed by how quickly they could book our appointment. Our Tech was Ian. He did a fantastic and thorough job cleaning our system. To be honest, we were expecting him to try and upsell or tell us something was wrong and we needed a new part or whatever. He didnt. He did exactly what we asked for and the price was exactly as advertised. We will definitely use them again if we need anything else done. Great job Ian!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would, Donovan was able to come out within 3 hours of our initial call to fix our ac condenser and was incredibly helpful, thorough and knowledgeable. Price was very reasonable for the service as well. He explained to me how he was performing his diagnostics, what to watch out for in the future, how to make sure our ac unit stays in good condition and he answered all of my extra questions about our house. In addition to being incredibly professional and an excellent teacher, he is also a great guy too. Very easy to talk with and very friendly. 15/10 would recommend, I’m very happy with my experience with Donovan

I cannot recommend Michael & Son Services enough. I had a plumbing issue and called them in the morning. I was fortunate enough to get a same day appointment. When it was halfway through my window timeframe, someone called to let me know that my technician was finishing up a job and would be there soon. Amazing communication! Carlos came and was very determined to figure out the issue and was amazing to work with! Even brought his own doormat and shoe coverings! Figured out the issue and made me appointments for the next day to complete everything. This disastrous event turned into an easy process with his expertise! Update: Michael & Sons responded rapidly to this request and remedied our issue at no cost. It seems like our request got lost in the mix. All the staff we interacted with was very helpful! Thank you.We had a great initial service inspection with Michael & Sons in March. One of our HVAC and outdoor units stopped working entirely and we needed a full system replacement. All the techs that came out were great and the service was well done and clean. The issue is what happened right after installation. The initial tech told us we’d need a breaker replaced on our box. We were under the impression that since this was a known and assessed problem it would be included in the $11K install we paid for. It wasnt replaced during installation and by 9PM of the night of install our breaker had tripped. We called Michael and Sons back about 4 times before they sent someone out again and they said it wasn’t included. Not sure how this is possible - both my brother and father have HVAC licenses and disagreed that we should have to pay for this separately. We were told we needed to make ANOTHER appointment for the breaker…which was directly linked to the HVAC issue which had been taxing it. We refused, especially as Silver members, to do so. Finally our county sent a county inspector to our house in July to check our service. We failed the inspection based on the breaker which wasn’t only malfunctioning but the wrong size. At no point did Michael and Sons even mention that we had a breaker operating in our box of the wrong size. The inspector told us they would notify Michael and Sons who would contact us within 2 weeks to replace the breaker. They have yet to reach out to us to remedy a failed inspection tied to their work - six weeks after a failed inspection. If you use their service just beware - the company is completely ok with leaving a job incomplete. This is no reflection on the wonderful techs but the company itself.

I called Michael & Sons on Sunday afternoon because I experienced an alarm on my sump pump alerting me that my system was malfunctioning. I requested immediate service for the same day. The company was very responsive and they immedately setup an appointment as requested. The technician, James Moorman, called me Sunday afternoon to get more information on what was happening with my system.I explained the problem to James and he let me know he could come out and diagnose my system to determine what the problem(s) was but most likely due to the weekend he would not be able to get the parts needed to fix my system. James asked if I could wait until Monday or Tuesday to get my system problems resolved and I agreed. He also asked me to send him pictures of my system which would let him know what parts would be needed.James updated the appointment to Tuesday morning and he arrived promptly, was courteous, professional and answered all the questions I had about my new system. James took great care to ensure my carpet was covered to protect it while he replaced my sump pump. I would and will be utilizing this company and specifically this technician on all of my plumbing need in the future. Great job James and thank you for being thorough. I look forward to you handling all of my plumbing requirements.

Our A/C HVAC unit outside broke down on Sunday. I called Michael & Son for emergency visit service. Although I waited all day for the technician ( from 8:45am made call and technician arrived at 9pm),the technician arrived and immediately knew what was wrong and fixed it right away. He was very knowledgeable and experienced and provided me with good recommendations and advice about the maintenance A/C HVAC and how soon a replacement will be needed since the unit is very old. Excellent service and great expertise from the technician. My only complaint is the wait time - all day to get a technician. This is not the technician fault since there was a lot service calls that day, he said to me. But Michael & Son’s for not having better coordination and to have more than one technician available for the weekend. Aside from that - I’m very satisfied with the technician’s work on my A/C.

We have been with Michael & Son for a few years now so this is also a review for the past services from them.We recently had a scheduled HVAC appointment with James to do his inspection. As suggested by other technicians in the past that we may have to consider a new unit since they are over 15 years old. After looking at a few items he said will break down in the near future we decided to get an appointment with AJ to consider getting our entire HVAC units replaced. So after our conversation with AJ we made an appointment later in the week to have both our old HVAC units removed and replaced with two brand new units. The guys arrived around the appointed time that was stated and of course that day was pouring down raining but that was not a problem for Carl, Moises, Asare and Bryan to do the job. We were also getting our 80 gallon water heater replaced which was also over 15 years old and Samer was doing that job along with replacing a sump pump.So now that the new equipment has been replaced the exchangers are real quiet since they sit outside our bedroom window you really dont hear them as much as the older ones. The water heater does a better job than the old one and is big improvement.I also had a talk with Mary in dispatch (Richmond, Virginia office) and she was very helpful and answered all my questions and helped me with a couple of appointments.Thanks to all,Kevin & Michelle****This is an update to my post 23 July 2021Had a scheduled appointment for service of our HVAC and I got a text that my service tech is on the way they also sent the name and a picture of the tech that would be doing the service.. Having an elderly father residing in our home caused great concern for us when the furnace stopped heating the house.
