    The folks at Hill Country Refrigeration have all been very nice to us. The quality of work seems high so far and itā€™s great to have consistent communication from them. We scheduled an appointment for a Thursday morning. On the day of the appointment, we received a text notifying us that the tech was on his way, his name and even a photo so we would know it was him, not that it wouldnā€™t be hard to tell with the red van with the company name on the side! The tech was kind and knowledgeable and all around helpful with our annual preventative maintenance check on our units. Would highly recommend them!

    Joey did a great job for us today. His explanation of issues and honesty were much appreciated. He was very attentive to our questions and helped us to learn which unit controlled which rooms. He left no questions unanswered. He is our repair guy from now on. What a great employee to represent your company. I hope you take good care of him. People like him will help your company grow.     Doug Pool was excellent. He is knowledgeable and prompt. Easy to talk to.Having never seen my boiler and HVAC custom designed system prior to his first visit, Doug grasped the installation concept and went right to work.     I received a text that Joey Hernandez was on his way to service my AC system. He arrived on time, introducedhimself and explained the process for serving my AC system. He was very polite, personable and presented a professional appearance. After putting his booties on to enter the house, he commenced his task and explained the process as he proceeded. He provide valuable insights on maintaining the system and pointed out some areas of concern. Upon examination of the blower and the coil he identified that mold had started to grow on the blower housing, luckily it was not found on the fan. He explained possible causes of why it had started and what could be done to eradicate it and prevent it. (See pics). He proceeded with his examination of the system and completed both the indoor and outdoor service. Once complete he again stated what he had accomplished and asked if I had any questions. His professionalism wasfour decimal zero! We provide literature on a system that could stop the mold and explained the process. I agreed to have the system installed and scheduled an install date. He returned on the agreed date to install the UVL. Again, on time and ready to tackle the installation. He explained the process and proceeded to disassemble the blower, clean, disinfect, reassemble. He then installed the system. He was thorough in explaining how the system worked and how it was maintained. He answered all my question and reinforced that should we have any problems or further questions he would be available. Without a doubt the BEST experience I have had with an AC Company and tech! I highly recommend Hill Country AC.

    Hill Country Refrigeration was honest , timely and fast. They drove an hour to provide service. We hired them to clean out the duct work. They were honest that the duct work had been replaced when the AC was replaced. As a result it was already very clean and they wanted us to understand prior to it being cleaned. It is admirable for a service to be honest especially in this day and age.

    Brady and Cristian arrived on time, were friendly and professional, and creatively handled a potentially difficult installation. The thermostat is easy to use, the system is very quiet, and the guys put the house and garage back in order before they left. We are very pleased with the installation experience.

Our guests were complaining that the HVAC was not blowing warm air, and it was pretty cold. Joey H was able to come out right away and diagnose the issue. We needed a new part which he got first thing in the morning. He was extremely prompt, professional and talked through all the different options to repair.     Brian Pruitt did a great job checking 4 HVAC systems for us at 3 different locations today. We were very pleased with his service. I only wish I could have written one check to pay for the service, but his work tablet required a check from each different address. He apologized for this and said he would let the office know and try to have one bill next time instead of three.

    Our air conditioner quit cooling and it was after hours. Our emergency call was answered by Brian PRUIETT. He was very competent and had our air conditioner working and cooling. This was after hours but that did not make him resentful or unfriendly.     Brian has been at my home earlier this year to service my a/c Trane unit . He did beyond the call of duty by helping me( I am in a walker) start my lawn mower. He returned two nights ago when my a/c stopped from the extreme heat. I was forced to go to a motel because of my 90 year old sister not being able to endure the heat. I would appreciate knowing what he had to do to fix itā€¦a partā€¦or resetting at my fuse box, etc.. it was working again in less than 15 minutes. A kind man with good character.     Mr. Brian Priuett is the best A/C Service technician I have ever met in over 30 years of A/C consumer experience. He showed that the aluminum cooling coils and fan motor are in very good condition. Also how to remedy the condensate from the coils running past the air handler drip pan from collecting onto the larger pan.Brian also indicated that the condenser, associated fan and capacitor are performing. optimally. He explained that the current refrigerant 410 will become obsolete in 2025 and to be prepared for a possible A/C equipment upgrade requirement at some future time.Very much appreciate Brian Priuett and Hill Country Refrigeration!Thank you,Brian Hague.

    Daniel returned 2 times after the Fall checkup. The thermostat was not able to get the main control panel inside the unit to turn on. He trouble shot the issue, ordered a new ā€œmother boardā€ and returned To install it the next day. So far, so good. Daniel was patient and knowledgable and followed up as he said he would.Daniel did our Fall heat check. This was the first time to turn on the furnace as it is part of our new HVAC system . No issues at all. Daniel is patient and explained everything. We were very pleased.After calling Hill Country Refrigeration, Joey came within a few hours. He assessed our unit and told us exactly what we suspected , that it was old and rusted and needed replaced. He answered all of our questions showed us our options, completed all the paperwork and then brought a temporary cooling unit to help us get through for a couple days until the new unit could be installed .We were very pleased with the service and his knowledgeA few days later Tyler Iverson and Patrick arrived with our new HVAC unit. They worked hard all day and completed the install to our satisfaction . We are the proud owners of a new Trane HVAC system. Our Texas home is once again cool and comfortable . Tyler and Patrick did an outstanding job. They were knowledgable and efficient.Our new Trane froze and stopped cooling. Brian Truiett came out Saturday night and again Sunday morning. After the coils thawed he checked for leaks and also checked the main valve that runs the condenser. He will take the findings to the shop Monday and we wait for their response as to what to do with this new unit. Brian was prompt, knowledgable and friendly. We appreciated his quick response on a weekend.Then Devon ROSENBUSCH came and assembled a new coil and valve at this time our AC is working. Devon knew what he was doing, was pleasant and hard working. He was patient and answered all our questions .Another issue with our Trane HVAC. Doug came out and made some adjustments. Then Brady came by and sealed a couple places on the unit. Doug came again to replace thermostat and insulate at the compressor At this time the HVAC is cooling.All of the technicians are patient, knowledgable and friendly. We have no issues with them. The main problem seems to be with the product. It has a full 10 year warranty.

Unfortunately, it was determined in the end that the old system was kaput and that it was time to get a new system. Kyle then proposed two separate systems with their separate pricing structures. After reviewing the options, I chose one. Hill Country Refrigeration said they could schedule installation the following week, and in the interim could provide a portable AC unit until the new unit was installed and operational.
