We enjoyed working with Valley Home on our kitchen renovation and new bathroom and highly recommend them. The attention to detail and the quality of the work they did completely exceeded our expectations. During the design phase they were collaborative and their software illustrated what finished product would look like. Our project covered half of the first floor and they sealed off the rest of the house to keep things as clean as possible during the demolition phase and at the end of each day left everything tidy. They kept the project timeline and budget on track, communicated with us regarding who would be working each day and checked in as needed if they had any questions about what we wanted. They added little touches that we never would have come up with on our own such as custom mouldings and pillars that match the victorian era woodwork in the rest of the house and a soft close pantry door (using the original pocket door). Our renovation was completed over a year ago and everything still looks brand new and has held up well.

We couldnt have had a better experience with Valley Home Improvement. Originally, we hadnt done much research into contractors, and went with Dan because he seemed ready to get going on the project on our first meeting. We feel that we lucked out. Customer service was excellent and personable all the way through--we were well-coached through every step of the process (from choosing bathroom tiles to kitchen flooring to new appliances), and Dan was always accommodating to our worries and last-minute design changes. The whole process just felt exciting. And the teams who worked on our house--including the head carpenter, Eric, and Molly Montgomery Painters, recommended by Dan--were superb at their crafts, and friendly, too. We will miss them all. The end result of our renovation is better than imagined--its gorgeous, spacious, convenient, and has improved the quality of our lives in plenty of daily ways. We would recommend VHI in a heartbeat and all those who worked in conjunction with them. Lovely experience. Friends and family are amazed at what was accomplished in 3 months and maybe a little jealous, too.

Valley Home is a very fine business from top to bottom. We have done several large and several small projects with them: the work has always been done well and as close to on time as possible. We have enjoyed personal contacts with the officers and the soldiers at the company. We have especially appreciated knowing that, when something is not quite right, Valley Home will take care of it promptly and with no extra charge. There is no question that, when we have another project, we will turn to Valley Home.

VHI remodeled a basement room for us. The room was completely gutted so they remodeled it from the ceiling to the floor. Everyone involved with the project was responsive, personable, and professional. Communication from Steve was excellent. They were always on time or communicated when there was a schedule change. We were so happy with their work that we contracted with them to reconstruct a shed that was destroyed by a tree fall. This project is about to begin. I would recommend VHI unequivocally.

We recently completed a master bath and walk-in closet project with VHI. After some bad experiences with other contractors, we were a bit apprehensive. Our first meeting with Steve and Jeff left us feeling very confident that this will be different....and it was! The crew was very respectful of our space and our concerns about dust. They left everyday with a clean workspace and organized their equipment to prevent ay hazards. We had very open communication about details and progress which helped things move along smoothly. Our custom natural wood cabinets are beautiful and such a focal point. VHI addressed any concerns we had going forward and we were able to expand our project to include two more areas. We are thrilled with the finished projects. I have a fabulous master bath and closet....my husband has his bright new garage interior.

We hired VHI to remodel our kitchen, dining room, two bathrooms, and laundry room four years ago. Now, four years later, we still smile every day over the changes to our home! VHI was professional in every regard. They were always respectful of the fact that they were working in our home and that such projects by their very nature are disruptive. Each day, work areas were left clean and safe. They arrived and departed on time. We were kept informed of their progression and deadlines. They requested our input as necessary and made sure that each phase was to our liking before moving on. The professional subs that were hired (plumbers, electricians, etc) were all equally professional and always overseen by our foreman. And their work was always performed with an attention to detail and that quality has proven itself to us year-in and year-out. Our renovations are beautiful and exactly what we wanted. Perhaps the best compliment that we can pay VHI is that we would not only recommend them without reservation, but would hire them again ourselves.

We are thrilled with our thoroughly renovated and updated ranch house! Steve S has been a delight to work with--responsive, gracious, and flexibile. Steve F, Dan, Jim, and the whole VHI crew were a real pleasure to have on site. Their work has been top-notch, but it is the extras that stand out such as innovative ideas for reorganizing space, and little touches like shelves for a new pantry space. JIms modern hearth work is a showstopper that gets rave reviews from everyone who sets foot indoors.

VHI did a total expansion/renovation of my kitchen and at the same time did new construction of an attached garage and backyard shed. The project was completed in October 2011. I cannot say enough about the overall excellent experience I had with this company. I was told by Steven that I could call them at any time if I had any problems at a later date with anything having to do with the project. That statement was recently proven to me.My kitchen project included a mini-split air conditioner. With each new summer, I noticed that it was not working quite right. Repairs were promptly attempted. Another winter would come and it would not be used until the following summer. This past summer, when it was evident it was not going to work properly, VHI replaced my mini-split and compressor with a brand new one. This was including labor cost of plumber and electrician. There was no additional cost to me.. Seven years later! It is extremely hard to find that kind of commitment and integrity in this day and age. Thank you Valley Home Improvement!

I highly recommend Valley Home Improvement! Steve Silverman and his staff did a great job planning and remodeling our 30-year-old kitchen, master bath, and powder room. Steve was very methodical in the process, and kept us on budget and on time. He has a good relationship with suppliers and subcontractors, enabling us to find what we (picky people) wanted, from tile, countertops, and flooring to medicine cabinets and cabinet hardware. Zac and his crew showed up on time, worked efficiently, and kept everything as clean as possible throughout the construction. The whole crew was friendly and polite throughout. They were extremely helpful when other (non-remodel-related) disasters happened to occur in our home during the process – our sump-pump failed during a heavy rainstorm, bringing inches of water into the basement. And at the conclusion of the work, the crew disposed of much excess junk we had accumulated over the years. Since the job was finished a few months ago, Steve has checked in with us periodically to make sure everything is still running as it should be. We are thrilled to show off his work to family and friends, and enjoy it ourselves every day.

I’ve been involved in a few home remodeling projects over the years. That gives me some perspective. And based on my experience I would strongly recommend VHI. I have three main reasons for liking VHI. First, the carpenters and trades people involved in our project were, without exception, first rate in their craftsmanship and their desire to execute our design goals. It’s not easy to make changes to an older home. In that regard, the lead carpenter on our project was an amazingly skillful and resourceful craftsman. Second, this was my first experience with the computer aided design used by VHI. I found the program (and the CAD team) particularly helpful in formulating and communicating design objectives for our project. I would not do another major project without it. Third and finally, VHI is outstanding in their meticulous attention to clean, dust free working conditions. If I had to fault any aspect of our experience it would be in communication. Once our project was underway we were unsure who the contact was for questions or changes. In addition, if our contract clearly spelled out the aspects of the project that were totally within our responsibility that may have prevented a needless delay in our project.

VHI did a fabulous job renovating our 1904 Gothic-Victorian, and it is a home weve loved living in from day 1. Good businesses however, show up for day 2 as well. When we had a product fail a few years later and they responded quickly and professionally, handling our concern fairly and in a timely manner.
