    We are so happy with this company, not even sure where to start this review. We did a ton of research, interviewed 5 or so companies, and ultimately chose Gem because they were the best. We needed a lining installed in our old cast iron plumbing. Suffice it to say, the job ended up requiring such a high level of skill, Im confident that not just any company could have done it. We tried to keep out of their way so they could work, but we looked on when we could. Let me just say, what they were able to do underground using a tiny camera and screen, multiple tools, in a small pipe, communicating via cellphone from different ends, was nothing short of impressive. Clearly these were seasoned professionals, and we are so so lucky we hired them.We were beyond happy with the whole business. From the office scheduler, to Mike who initially came out to scope the plumbing and book the job, to our liner team. Casey and Brett, Alexander, Roy, and Robert - all of them were extremely professional, skilled and courteous. Can not say enough good things about you.Thank you for working so hard and fixing our plumbing. Hope I wont need a plumber again any time soon, but if we do we know just who to call.Oh, and when they were finished each day, the site was cleaned up like no one had even been there!Anyone looking for a liner, or general plumber, just quit looking and book this company asap.

    Clay said plumbing is 90% figuring out the problem and 10% applying the fix. He fixed a sink leak that no one had figured out for 20 years! He also handled 3 other issues quickly. Gem front office seems very good too. Highly recommend.

    GEM Statewide Plumbing has been servicing three of my rental properties for many years. They have been exceptional in every way, as well as reasonably priced. I recently had a major disaster with a water break in a master bath which flooded the entire house. The call came in on a Friday evening, and the technician was there within TEN minutes!! Not only that, they recommended Restoration Pros of Southwest Florida for the cleanup, who were also at the residence WITHIN MINUTES!! This home was like it never happened within a few short hours, and within 24-48 hours, the humidity readings throughout the home were normal. There was NO damage to the property, nor to the tenants belongings. I am very grateful to have had this team jump into action. They gave us piece of mind and to have no mold or property damage of any sort was truly amazing. Thank you!

    My 10-year-old Rheem water heater started leaking onto the underlying safety drip pan late yesterday afternoon. I got up this morning and called Gem Statewide Plumbing at 8:00 AM and told the nice and polite service scheduler that I needed a new water heater installed ASAP. She asked me a few details about my old Rheem water heater (wattage and capacity), put me on hold for a few minutes while she coordinated with the alert service and repair crew, and said they would be at my house with a new compatibly-sized water heater on their truck to install within the hour. I was skeptical of that rapid response time, but sure enough, 50 minutes later, the two man crew (Clay and Jeremy) pulled into my driveway and went straight to work. About 90 minutes later, they had the old leaking water heater drained, completely removed, and the new AO Smith 50 gallon professional (commercial grade) water heater (made in South Carolina) fully installed. They were simply AWESOME tradesmen. Neat, polite, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. The total cost, with tax and labor, new water heater, and the haul away and disposal of the old one was $1660. At first I thought this was a little bit of a sticker shock, but the new water heater is top of the line quality and it was installed precisely, professional, and neatly, and they stuck around to leak check it for an additional 30 minutes just to make sure. It also comes with a 6 year warranty. If you have any kind of a plumbing emergency and you live in the Englewood, FL area, I would highly recommend calling GEM Statewide Plumbing as your go to plumber. They also gave me a coupon for $25 off my next service call, and are preparing a free estimate for me to come back out and install a new, heavy duty main water shutoff valve in my garage.

    Our experience with GEM Statewide Plumbing was exceptional! When we were without water due to a pipe separation and our regular plumber was unable to get to us to make the necessary repairs, upon recommendation from a friend, we contacted GEM. Kyle and Roland were at our house within 3 hours and did an outstanding job making the repair.     I would highly recommend GEM Statewide Plumbing. We had an emergency and they made an appointment for that day but even better they ended up coming much earlier in the morning to fix our issue.     Just had a new toilet installed by Gems Statewide Plumber Kyle. He called me to inform me he was about a half hour away, showed up on time, totally professional and experienced. Removed the old unit and installed the new unit in a very timely manner. Very personable as well.     Lou’s no nonsense pricing is great .Gives price and worst case scenario price and that’s it price doesn’t change what a breathe of fresh air !!! Had pipes relined and some had to be replaced .Luke and Mike kept me informed and did OUTSTANDING work and their helpers Christian and Josh kept everything clean ! The next closest bid was $5000 more Lou thanks for saving me $ !!! Lou saved me so much money last week I ask for a price on a bath and shower insert again gave me the price and that was the price ! Had the pleasure of Justin and Dale do the work they did not disappoint did a FANTASTIC job ! Lou and his Team go above and beyond expectations.     Woke up Saturday morning and found water all over the bathroom floor, called Gem who is our go to plumbing contractor, Kyle answered the phone a little before 7 AM! Told me he would be over as soon as possible, arrived within an hour and found a leaking hot water heater. Within three hours he had replaced it with a new one and brought all up to code. Absolutely a great job, Kyle knows his job, is very personable, and is a pleasure. My wife and I can’t say enough about Gem and the job Kyle did.

    We recently purchased an Old Florida home that needs a little TLC. Clay and Dillon from Gem Statewide plumbing installed a new hot water tank and laundry basin for us today. As with a lot of older homes, fixing one thing uncovers another thing needing attention. Needless to say, they also ended up replacing some valves, pipe, drain line and hoses as well. Clay was extremely helpful in explaining the additional issues and offering his recommendation as to what should be done. This is our first experience with public water and sewer, and Clay showed me where the water meter is and how to check to ensure there are no leaks and where to turn off the water to the house. All told, the additional work only added a few hundred dollars to the original estimate. I was very pleased with their work and professionalism. I called Gem on Monday, received a visit from Miguel, a service manager, on Tuesday, received the estimate that day and the work was completed on Wednesday. At a time when it can be challenging to even get a response from skilled tradespeople, their responsiveness was great. Gem is truly a gem and will be our plumber here in Englewood.Updated 11/1/2024 - actually all the above was from 2022, but never hit the post button. Just had Gem out to replace a hot water heater they installed for us that we lost to Helene. Clay again did a thorough, tidy job. We are very please with Gem and use them for all our plumbing needs.

    Our home owners insurance told us we had to make repairs under the kitchen sink as soon as possible because the 4 point inspection pictures indicated some corrosion at the drain. I contacted Gem Statewide Plumbing. They were able to get me on their schedule almost immediately and told me Clay would be out between 8 - 10AM on the following Mon. Clay was right on time, professional and personable. His work was top notch plus he was conscientious about leaving no mess behind. I have no qualms about recommending this company. If only Florida homeowners insurance companies could be more like Gem when it comes to hassle free, promptly, as soon as possible customer service.

    My wife noticed that the toilet in out guest bathroom was leaking around the base. I called Gem Statewide Plumbing and they sent Chris out the next morning. He called ahead to let us know he was on his way. He quickly identified the problem, a cracked flange, and had everything fixed and looking better than the original install in around 30 minutes. The installation was stellar and their professionalism showed in every aspect of the project.     With RE so ridiculous we moved from NY to care for my MIL who has been in North Port since 1992 but did not buy we leased a house. The property management company sent Gem Statewide. A) the must be competitive, B) they must be error free and do a quality no complaint type of job.Yes, they did!!! Great service again thanks!2023 Gem Plumbing of Englewood Florida has been to my house twice so far. First trip was to replace outdoor faucets that had to be welded, when there they also identified a faucet that would possibly have future issues and replaced when here and identified a leak at our meter box. They returned back and fixed the meter box leak the next business day. Their prices are reasonable, their staff are friendly and knowledgeable as are their office staff. I am going to use them again to replace our hot water heater. We are very happy with their service.

    I couldn’t say enough good things about this company. They did a repipe under my home due to a deteriorating cast iron waste pipe. They tunneled from the outside underneath, repiped and filled 7 foot hole in two days. I have one bathroom, they made sure I was not without a bathroom. They were professional, on-time, courteous, and wasted no time and got straight to work. I highly recommend them for any and all plumbing needs.     Got cancelled on at the last minute by another plumbing company and was on a tight schedule. Called Gem and told them my situation, and they got me in in a couple of days. Was a tricky installation of our new dishwasher because of piping but the 2 plumbers they sent here were awesome and took care of any issues extremely professionally.     Contacted Gem Statewide Plumbing on December 7th to say that the sink in our condo was backing up and not draining.     Hello. I just wanted to commend your team for great customer service. I had a toilet that was not flushing. Roland tried everything to diagnose the problem. He finally lifted the toilet to find a bunch of roots in the pipe and suggested your hydro jet service. Several days later, the team of Quentin, Brett, and Jeremy arrived and used their camera to confirm the mass of roots in the pipe. They were unable to do the hyrdo jet service, but used other tools to clear the blockage. I want to commend all four for their diligence, professionalism, and kindness in resolving this matter.     UPDATE: 10/13/23Chris and Nick came out to install an APEC RO system under the kitchen sink. I got a great deal on Amazon but didn’t want to attempt install.     My water heater started leaking Friday morning so I began the task of finding a plumbing company who get a new one installed quickly. Gem Statewide was the only plumbing company of the three I call that answered the phone (I left voice mail with the other two).     After getting ripped off by Ben Franklin Plumbing for $344 my sewer was still backing up. I called Gem and within a few hours Cam and James were at my door. They pulled out my toilet and ran a camera, then went on the roof to the vent and ran the camera. Went to the second vent and finally there was the clog!!! After some serious snaking they cleared the blockage. Cam ran the camera all the way from my toilet into the septic tank showing me the cleared line. They cleaned up everything and were super nice and explained every step along the way. They were here 2 hours and only charged $200. I was amazed at the awesome job and price.     My wife Joyce and I recently used GEM Plumbing, and their service was beyond my expectations. We wanted to move our laundry center to the garage, and repair a cracked vent pipe behind the kitchen sink. I knew both jobs required going through cinder block and drywall respectively. I was told this would be a two day job. On the day of service Justin and Ronnie showed up on time and walked me through what they were going to do. I left the house fully expecting a real mess upon my return. I was floored when I returned home. Both worksites were almost completed, and both were far cleaner than I had anticipated. Justin finished cleaning up the drywall site, and even gave me a tip on how to patch the hole. (It turned out great) He than proceeded to patch the hole in the cinder block.     Thursday morning I found water dripping from the tank of my toilet. My first suspicion was that it was not a simple fix, because it wasnt leaking near the valve or the bottom center of the tank. I had heard good things about GEM plumbing, and immediately called them. An appointment was made for Thursday after lunch, and as luck would have it a technician was ultimately available before noon. The technicians name was Clay. He arrived at my home, and introduced himself in a very polite manner. After introductions were made, he promptly went to work diagnosing the problem. As it turned out, it wasnt the seal in the bottom center of the tank, it was an actual fracture in the tank itself. Clay had to go back to the shop to get a complete new toilet. He returned shortly and installed the new toilet in timely fashion. Upon completion, he asked me to test the new installation, and the new toilet worked perfectly. Clay went above and beyond to answer any questions I had, and he left my bathroom in the same clean condition as he found it. The price for the replacement toilet was well within the range that I expected. I highly recommend GEM plumbing and I certainly recommend Clay for any repairs.

    We called early afternoon about a leak under the kitchen sink. An hour later Mike arrived. He immediately saw that the disposal was leaking. He had a replacement in his truck and set to make the repair. I asked if he would take a look at the hot water heater since I did not think the water was getting hot enough. He saw that the heater was also leaking and called the off ice . Lou showed up within an hour with a new heater in his truck. I am not thrilled having to replace two items on the same day but Gem Plumbing gets 5 stars for their service.

    We had a clog on a Sunday and googled plumbers in the area, my 1st call was not Gem Statewide but another local company and they did not offer emergency services so next on list was Gem. WHAT A PROFESSIONAL BUISNESS!!!! Ronnie was out in less than 30 min fixed our issue but also recommend to have a FREE camera inspection of our plumbing lines due to the house being built in 1960 with cast iron pipes..Mike came out did the camera inspection and we were not surprised with how bad the build up and cracks were in our pipes under the foundation. He recommend a service they offer in which they hydro jet our pipes to clean them then line our pipes with Perma Liner. Mike was very polite and knowledgeable and explained the process to a T so we scheduled it.Justin, Bryan B. and Keshaun W. were our crew for the job of cleaning and lining our pipes. These 3 gentleman were hands down professionals and extremely polite through this whole process.. Justin explained every step of the process and just let me say he knows his stuff.Hind-site now we are very thankful for the clog, because if we would have let it go and had not done the camera inspection, with out a doubt our end result would have been to rip up the floors/foundation to put in new pipes because it would have been to late for the lining process to work,I never leave reviews, but the professional, knowledgeable, polite and just down right HONEST service from Gem Statewide Plumbing, I had to leave one.If you have an older home in Englewood, FL. area trust me give them a call before its to LATE!!!!!!!!We will only be calling Gem Statewide for any plumbing services.

    The plumbing in my entire house backed up on a Saturday and my friend recommended Gem. I called them and Clay was out within an hour. He got me through the weekend with a snake unclog and I scheduled a hydro-jetting to be done the following week. I heard bubbling from a toilet after these procedures were complete and I also was aware these kinds of procedures cannot be warranted because of the nature of them. Gem stands by their work and sent Lou, the owner out to my home. He checked my lines and discovered the toilet was not functioning correctly. Since my house is only 2 years old I called the manufacturer and they are sending a new toilet . Lou gave me a very fair price to install this toilet. I won’t bash other companies but please know the company that did our initial plumbing cannot be trusted and I now feel I have a good, honest, trustworthy plumber and would highly recommend them to anyone.

    Justin and his crew came out and completely water jetted all my drain pipes. Then they installed a Perma liner. My sink drain pipe was completely clogged with rust from the cast iron. They cut my floor out underneath the kitchen cabinet and refrigerator and cut out a big chunk of the clogged pipe! Then they replaced that with PVC all the way to my p-trap. They refilled the holes with concrete. Now all my drains work perfectly! Justin is the hardest worker I have ever seen... and the rest of the crew were right there for him! I am very very happy with the job, thank you guys so very much! If I have any more plumbing problems, I will not hesitate to call them!!!

    We got 3 estimates for jetting a slow drain. Turns out our main cast iron pipe had several cracks and breaks. First guy (so far our regular plumber) seemed a little lost about what would fix the problem. No firm estimate on what it would cost. Next guy had lots of answers but was almost double the price. We learned a lot more. After calling Gem, we learned about lining (neither of the other guys even mentioned this procedure, they would have just dug up the floor of our brand new remodel.) Lining the pipe was the answer. Gem guys (Scott and Luke) did a great job, almost all of it from outside the house. Price was reasonable and they were prompt and professional in every way. Glad this is fixed now and I think done right with minimal inconvenience. 5 stars to Lou and his team.

    Amazing service! Lou came out for the assessment himself. I told him I called him for a second opinion after another company told me I needed to line my pipes to the tune of 8k-10k. He actually showed me his plumbers certification through the State of Florida (something the other company didnt do) during the introduction. His plumbers came by shortly after he arrived and they showed me on the camera that there werent breaks to reline- its scaling from the old pipes I have. He and his guys explained everything thoroughly and made sure I understood what they were saying- it felt a lot more like a conversation than a sales pitch. The quote for the jetting was less than the other guys, and if I wanted to reline my pipes his quote was easily 3k less. I went with the jetting route and they came out to jet it about two days later. They did an amazing job and Id recommend them to everyone.Another thing to note- Lous a Marine, and he has the honor and integrity that comes with that title. This is one veteran-owned business Id be proud to endorse as a former Sailor.
