Absolutely professional, with great communication and excellent follow up. We had an issue with our water heater not working. I called Michael and he was at our house within 24 hours. The fix turned out to be simple and we were up and running in no time. We used Michael to have our water heater replaced several years ago, because of the simplicity of the fix and the fact that he believed the issue never should have happened, he refused to take my money and has followed up multiple times to ensure the issue was resolved. He has earned a customer for life. Thank you Michael!

My mother was on vacation and I came across a leak in the garage from the ceiling. I called a couple of other larger plumbing companies, but they would not be able to get to the house for four days. My mom came across Mike Barrett on Facebook when she requested recommendations for local plumbers and quite a few recommended Mike Barrett. I found his name on the table of emergency numbers, left a message with my concerns, and he called back about 20 minutes later. Mr. Barrett came to my house about 30 minutes after we got off the phone to check it out for himself, and came back the next morning to repair it himself. He was very quick and kind, and respectful of my time since I had work in the morning as well. Mr. Barrett was very considerate to not require payment right away since my mom was away and just requested that my mom called about billing when she returned from her vacation. This is something that you do not find very often in people, so my mom and I highly recommend Barrett plumbing. We will not hesitate to use this company again for any of our plumbing needs!

Mike is honest, reliable, professional and follows through on his promises. Long story short, I had a septic smell in my house and had MANY plumbers charge me for work that did not resolve the issue and then ghost me. I was then referred to Mike. He came out quickly, investigated and found an open abandoned sink pipe in my attic ( he was the ONLY plumber to even go in the attic) . The smell was still present so he came back out and brought his team, they found the other end of that same pipe, along with and abandoned laundry line, they capped them all and my house now is septic smell free!!! Mike and his team were clean, professional, honest and reasonable cost. I would highly recommend Barrett Plumbing for any and all of your plumbing needs.

If I could award more stars I would. Mike and his team were great. I called when finding a leak in my living room ceiling that I assumed was coming from my upstairs bathroom. Mike had his team out there the same day and they arrived on time. Unfortunately the leak was not coming from my bathroom but the Barrett team did thorough insoection to find the source. They left my place clean and gave me peace of mind that the problem was resolved. Definitely will call them again and highly recommend them to anyone in need of a plumber.

My hot water is slow and not hot. I have Mike de-clog (clean) my hot water heater coil. I called him. He responded quickly and reviewed the pictures of the heaters and quoted price with different options. The price is great comparing with other plumbers. The work is neat. He cleaned up after work. Nice job! I recommend him strongly.

I called 6 plumbers to repair my 6 year old water heater. 2 wanted to replace it, 3 never responded. Only Barrett plumbing agreed to repair it. It was more expensive than I thought it would be but Doug came on time, courteous, and did a great job. I will call them again for any plumbing needs.

Our first experience with Barrett was great - and dramatically better than a few other recommended companies that we contacted in our first 10 months as Ridgefield residents. First, in our experience 2 of the 3 other leading local companies use answering services - even during business days - so weve waited for a callback. When we called Barrett, the guy who answered the phone was able to discuss the issue knowledgeably and schedule the visit. Our issue was burst pipe in garage (going to outdoor hose) which froze over the winter. We had it shut-off, so no emergency. Nonetheless, Barrett had a crew nearby and were able to come to the house in literally 90 minutes time. Might have been luck, but still great. The crew - Doug and Brandon - were really professional and got right to the task. We knew a section of pipe had burst in two spots (at welds), and in about 10-15 minutes they replaced it with PEX (a flexible plastic which is definitely superior to copper, especially for areas like a garage with freezing risk). When we turned on the branch supply valve, we discovered a 3rd leak along a different section of the same line - concealed above the drywall ceiling in garage. They found it, fixed it, then discovered a 4th. Then a 5th. No joke... On this one 40-foot section of pipe we found 5 bursts from water freezing in the pipe during the winter!! Barrett fixed all 5 leaks within 90-120 minutes, and charged me a very reasonable amount. Actually Barretts bill for this great job was a little less than one from another in town company that came out for less than 60 minutes and gave up on clearing a clogged sewer line, telling me the whole outside line needed to be dug-up and replaced at cost of $8-10k or more, which CT Sewer Rooter (from Bridgeport) cleared in 40 minutes of good hard work 1 day later. We would definitely recommend Barrett to anyone in Ridgefield!

These guys were AWESOME. We had 2 issues: a leak and a lack of hot water in our shower. They solved both problems in about an hour and were courteous, communicative and thoughtful about their approach. They couldve been less discrete and ripped up our bathroom floor to get the access they needed but they just slightly chipped away to see if they could fix it without creating a secondary project for me of repairing my bathroom floor.
