Our vintage home in McKinney needed many new and improved electrical outlets and switches installed. We are repeat customers of W3 Electric and got an appointment scheduled right away. We really liked the electrician, Cole. He was super competent. I also like that all W3 workers wear shoe covers while in the house. Cole walked us through the detailed bid and because we have a service agreement with W3, we decided to get all the outlets/switches completed. Cole powered through our long list of installations (indoor and outdoor). This company consistently does great work. Well done!

We first met Cody when he and Russell replaced conventional can lights with LED, added a light, replaced several switches with dimmer light switches, and a variable fan speed switch. At the time we joined W3s annual program which includes an annual safety inspection including gratis replacement of smoke alarm batteries. Today he came by for the inspection, and pointed out several items that have been updated by code, but not binding due to the home being grandfathered by age. One item in particular was the wiring of a surge protector for a new A/C unit that should have been wired slightly differently. In addition, our whole house surge protector was out of warranty, and although still functional, would not have been covered by the manufacturer should it malfunction or be overwhelmed by power surges. We opted to replace this item as well. At any event, Cody took care of these items in short order and left us quite satisfied with the quality and timeliness of his work. I recommend W3 Electric here in Rowlett for any residential jobd.

Excellent visit to my home to help decide if a RainBird could be repaired or needed replaced. While doing so, they also looked at a socket that it was plugged into, and determined that it was not connected properly, as it could be unsafe because the outlet was a quick connect wiring instead of hard wired to the outlets screw downs. This can be hazardous when using high voltage equipment for longer periods of time. It was determined that it would be more beneficial to replace the RainBird, and the outlet with a GFCI outlet, to accommodate the needs of the user, and its required voltage to operate safely when using high voltage equipment. Bottom line is that we need a new RainBird and outlet and wouldn’t have understood that without the inspection and knowledge provided by Cody and W3 Electric. They were courteous and professional, and even knew how to make small talk. Very good visit. Yes, the cost was about $90 for the visit, but peace of mind never has a price. Thanks for caring and explaining why, and what these electrical needs are. It’s a good to have reliable and trustworthy service, especially from an electrical company or contractor.Thank you—
