Personal Touch Services have been absolutely amazing for my family and I during a not so pleasant time dealing with water damage. Personal touch employees Luis, Christian, and Dave have been nothing but professional, kind, and hard workers throughout. USAA’s recommendation for using them was spot on, and as a team, USAA and Personal touch are making this process simple. I highly recommend their services to anyone in need.

Personal Touch Services was the aspirin to the headache I had. My house was gutted after water damage had wrecked the majority if the downstairs. I have heard horror stories of contractors coming in and not completing the job on time or constantly asking for more money. Neither of those two things happened. I was provided a schedule of when things would be completed, and the they stuck to that schedule. The communication was outstanding throughout the process and I never felt like I did not know what was happening.They provide you with a website called Builder-trend and post pictures/updates to the project so that you can follow them in the event you are out of town for a few days. They also post the schedule to the website so that you do not have to throw everything onto your calendar. In short, they use a system that is a one stop shop for all of your questions. If you have questions, Rhett and his team never seemed inconvenience by them. They were always happy to answer any and all questions. Personal Touch Services is a great company with great employees. I cannot recommend them enough.

I had a water leak, from a HVAC humidifier, that damaged my laminate wood floors and a workroom linoleum floor. I notified USAA of the event, when I noticed the flooring was showing signs of damage. USAA promptly contacted me, via conference call with Personal Touch Home Services, to determine when they could access my home to start the water mitigation process. Personal touch was able to immediately respond the same day, to my personal disaster and were flexible with my busy schedule. This rapid response was amazing, considering the national destruction both hurricanes Helene and Milton caused. Personal Touch Services workers (Craig, Zack, Emoree, Louis, Tyrik, and Kim) made sure to keep me informed about the water mitigation process and the status at my home. All the staff I have dealt with at Personal Touch Services have been professional, neatly dressed, conscientious, and considerate.

Through our home Progressive insurance, Personal Touch Services was contacted to do the mitigation from a busted water pipe in the wall that bore a hole in the wall and sprayed across the room for a few hours before we realized. Craig came out right away and got Louis and Brian on the job immediately! They all did an outstanding job! They were very helpful and addressed all of our concerns during this process. They were extremely efficient, knowledgeable and one of the most courteous crews we’ve ever experienced! Because of this, I have decided to hire them for the restoration as well!

We had a massive water leak in our bathroom that went into our garage about a year ago (this review has been a bit delayed due to life). We went through our insurance company who works with Personal Touch. There are always hiccups when insurance is involved, but Personal Touch was great at communicating with us and the insurance company. All the workers who came were very nice and respectful. Even when things did go awry, Personal Touch was quick to help update us on the situation and do their best to resolve it. The end result is an amazing new bathroom and all the water damage fixed correctly. We had an excellent experience with Personal Touch. Thank you to all of you!

Personal Touch Services did an outstanding job with remediation and home repair after water damage was detected within my home.My USAA home adjuster worked quickly to get Personal Touch on contract. Personal Touch Services provided an application to allow me to track all work, see photos and videos of the repairs, and a message system for any questions.Personal Touch Services did a great job of communicating. My emails were were replied to, almost immediately, even on the weekends. There were no problems getting direct phone calls to the lead foreman. I had no problem viewing the work site and seeing work progress.Their rip out and repair work was highly intrusive, needing to remove and replace central piping, cabinets, damaged hardwood floors, and the main support girder. It was readily apparent that Personal Touch Services has highly experienced employees and skilled craftsman to perform a variety of work. The team was able to jack up the house and replace the main girder, chemically treat all affected areas, tile match, and install a new hard wood floor that is flush and matches perfectly.I highly recommend Personal Touch Services for any home repair needs.

So on Feb. 27, 2021 our brand new townhouse we just purchased flooded from a repair done by prior house flippers. We have USAA homeowners insurance and they promised that Personal Touch Services were the #1 rated company to have for water mitigation, put-back restoration. I will say that in a matter of hours the water mitigation team was there and started work immediately and was very helpful. Shout out to those hard working people- our troubles arise now that it’s MAY 4th 2021 and we have been ready for them to start putting our house back together for a month now. Our insurance company has issued their check and we paid our deductible and these people have yet to actually show up and start working. They’ve told us different dates for weeks now. They also don’t call if they’re not coming, making it extremely hard to plan or work your schedule. They always say “oh no one called you?!”They need to get better communication skills and the app they have is never correct. Unfortunately, here we are 3 months with still no functional downstairs in our townhouse and 3 months we haven’t been able to get to any of our stuff. We were told this would be a 20 day project post- water mitigation and here we are. *update* the team finished and our house looked very well put together. Overall After a bit communication was fixed and things became more punctual.a few weeks later We recently found a new wet spot and we called Rhett and he came out next day to check up and on it and get us a quote all while being compassionate. They do well dealing with bad situations where people are already upset. I’m sure they’ll get our issue fixed in a timely manner as soon as they can.

Kudos to Mikka !!! Personal touch services is one of USAA preferred contractors and we are lucky we chose them.. There was water damage on our property right after Christmas, Personal touch services were able do the repairs in a timely manner. The staff were responsive, they were very good on calling to let us know what was going on and whats next.We highly recommend them.

Just superb service, quality, and value.We had a longstanding, serious water leak problem and had tried multiple other contractors over the space of years to get it fixed. Rhett and his team figured out the problem and it is finally fixed.The people at Personal Touch were professional, considerate of our schedule, and timely. You will know when they are showing up and they will adjust as necessary. They also leave the place immaculate when they are done.A final note. You will receive an honest estimate and will get honest costs. Our cost was over $5,000 less than the initial estimate. Another contractor might have stayed with the initial estimate and we would not have known enough to challenge. The peace of mind knowing that you will pay what is right is critical.I cant recommend these folks enough. The best contractor experience I have had in 30+ years of homeownership.Dave Undeland

Personal Touch Service was recommended by USAA to dry out and repair a collapsed 8x8’ section of ceiling due to a leaking AC in the attic. Nick was my project manager, he communicated well and kept tight timelines throughout the process. The gentlemen that did the work arrived when Nick said they would, they had the correct material, barricaded the living room front the rest of the house (to mitigate the migration of dust) and cleaned up when they were done. Everyone of the craftsman that worked in my home were polite and courteous. One minor error was made, I told Nick and the gentleman fixed it the following day. This was a large project over several days. It started on time everyday and they were finished 2 days ahead of schedule.I’m skilled at several trades and I do all the remodeling and home maintenance at two separate properties. This mostly because I don’t trust people to take care of my things like I do. The only reason why they even worked on my house is because the insurance was paying for it. I was nothing but impressed across the board with their work and I trust them enough to use them again.

Great local company. Very friendly and go out of their way to make sure you get everything you need when bad luck strikes your home. My kitchen and utility room flooded ruining my floor and what I thought was only one cabinet. The guys at Personal Touch went the extra mile to check my other cabinets and found that it was more than one that was damaged. They removed them and had them rebuilt in no time, and to look at them you would never know which ones they were!

As far as the work, well they havent started yet. We had a pipe freeze and bust in our kitchen. Kelly Mitchell was a God send, she did the estimate on the house to fix it and went out of her way to walk me through every step of the way and finally got what we needed from the insurance company. Give that woman a raise!!!!

We acquired the services of Personal Touch Services (PTS) after we experienced water damage in our laundry room that resulted in the replacement all of the flooring on the first level of our home. PTS was outstanding from start to finish. Water/mold mitigation was done in a few days, followed immediately by a job estimator and project supervisor. The restoration process was explained to us with tentative timelines. We were kept informed every step of the way via the Builder Trend app. Two storage containers were delivered and within a few days packing materials were dropped off for us to box up items. Movers came the following week and moved everything from the first floor except the fridge and a piano. The movers also removed the old flooring.The very next day the plumber removed the sink and toilet from the first floor bathroom, followed by someone to repair the water damaged wall. Flooring installers came later that day and layed the new floor. Carpenters, drywall installer, and painter finished up and the movers brought all the contents of the two containers back into the house. The plumbing and dishwasher were reinstalled and additional painting was done. The entire project took about 10 days. Everyone was skilled, professional, and friendly. I was impressed with the daily schedule via Builder Trend and the input provided by each contractor when their job was done. We also received daily phone calls from PTS office staff reminding us of the next days work and asking us how things were going.What a great experience after dealing with such an interruption in our lives. Thank you Personal Touch for making it all so much easier.
