She is always willing to discuss any concerns I have and promptly addresses any issues. Recently, she even removed a wasp nest she discovered, which I really appreciate since I strongly dislike wasps. I am very grateful to Dodson and Charity for keeping my home free of rats and bugs!

JJ is the best! I called JJ for an ongoing issue I was having, and he was able to fit me in the same day that I called. He was very thorough and addressed all my concerns. Living with dogs, he was very aware of what to do to take help resolve the issue while having my dogs safety (and myself) as the top priority. I didnt feel like he rushed through the process, but actually took his time to figure out the issue and explain to me the process of what he was doing. He also discussed scheduling a follow-up appointment to make sure everything is working or adjust what needs to be done. He is very adept at his job, and I was very grateful that it was JJ who responded to my call!

Highly recommend! I submitted a contact form and was contacted within 30 minutes by Randy Etheridge. We set up an appointment for later in week. He called me the day of to let me know when he was on his way, which I really appreciated. We recently had an increase of cockroaches in our garage and few that made it into our home. He did a thorough inspection and had lots of information to share with me and answered all my questions. We decided the best course of treatment and he was able to do the treatment the same day. Let me just start by saying Josh was awesome! He put my fears and stress to rest right away. We had carpenter ants and he gave information regarding them and provided the necessary treatment. By far the most humane, informative, educated, professional and yet appropriately personable individual they have on their team and in general in the business from what i have dealt with in the past.In the pest control business, I cannot imagine it to be easy and seamless to actually LOVE and take pride in what you do, and enough so for it to shine through in the work that is done, but Shea, he is the epitome of just that. He takes pride in the work he performs and the inspections he does. He is very thorough and goes above and beyond. All the information he provided me gave me the confidence i needed to move forward with buying my new forever home. He simply provides excellent quality work and guidance with a true and genuine heart that is all in!I would go so far as to pay someone to choose Shea with Dodson if they were on the fence about which company to choose. 10/10 for Dodson Pest Control. 10000/10 for Shea.We just bought a newly renovated home, and within weeks of getting our clear letter for termites from a different company, we started seeing a bunch of flying bugs on the floor in the kitchen, laundry room and dining room. My husband called Dodson in Chesapeake, explained what was going on, and they immediately had a tech call us (Shea). After a brief phone call, he said hed be at our door in ten minutes, and literally pulled up in 9.Shea is very knowledgable about everything regarding bugs. Within a minute of walking through our front door, he popped out a flashlight and was able to tell us we had termites just by looking at a discarded WING. Not a dead bug, not a piece of bug droppings, but a literal shred of a wing on the floor that I thought was a piece of dirt. He quickly got to work doing a survey of the property and checking out our crawlspace and basement, then drew up a treatment plan. When we sat down to discuss it, not only was he thorough and informative (without being condescending, which is super important to me!), but he was extremely kind and let my needy Sphynx cat sit in his lap while he went through the plan and the process for both termite and pest treatment. Shea was 100% transparent with the cost, which is actually a lot less than what we thought it would be for such extensive treatment.The fact that he is so passionate about his work and showed up SO quickly was the selling point for me and my husband. It seemed as if with minimal effort, he was able to point out a ton of additional things that were missed in our formal inspection when we closed on our home. Shea is super personable, really easy to ask questions with, gives straightforward, honest answers and made an insanely stressful situation easier to stomach. He is a highly knowledgable inspector and pest control professional, and I cant recommend him and Dodson enough.

Carpenter ants were my problem. I called Dodson because I saw that they had a 5 star rating from Google. I agree with the reviews. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. She forwarded my call to Shea who was busy with another customer at the time. Shea promptly called me back and made an appointment for inspection that afternoon. He is so friendly and knowledgeable. He shared a bit of the biology of carpenter ants and took the time to see if he could see a pattern in their behavior. I had squirted most of the baseboards with vinegar so they were not doing their normal somba line along the baseboards. I decided to use their one year program. I expect to have great service. I will let you know how the year goes. For now, I am pleased with Shea and Dodson Pest Control.

Absolute Rockstar was our inspector! Do not look elsewhere if you need a termite and moisture inspection! I dont have the paperwork yet to confirm his name but I believe it was Shea. He came out right after the home inspectors from Safe House left refusing to inspect the crawl, I dont recommend them but thats another story. This man said he was going to do everything in his power to get us a good inspection and make sure our biggest investment was a safe one. He didnt disappoint and crawled the entire crawl, which was quite tight. He found multiple issues and were extremely grateful for his services. Dodson has an absolute Rockstar on their team and this man needs a promotion. Extremely knowledgeable, professional, and clearly passionate about his job. He took the extra time to explain and actually show us things to make it all make sense. Couldnt have been more happy with our experience. Not new to Hampton Roads but new to the Suffolk area and will be a Dodson customer for life for any and all pest control needs.

Billie at the front office and Shay, who is one of the inspectors, are just lovely people, all around. I was drinking my morning tea looking at the bird feeder and saw a big hairless squirrel come out of my crawl space and realized his tail was a lot longer than the normal squirrel. I called Dodson pest control and they had Shea come over that afternoon and inspect my crawl space and start me on an EPA approved plan. I have lots of birds, squirrels and other pets so I needed EPA products, Shea definitely put me at ease and was a complete pleasure to interact with. He came each week on time and with his knowledge was able to Eliminate our bedbug problem that I would never been able to do on my own with generic sprays from Lowes or Home Depot. I would have never lifted and look and sprayed in crevices of my adjustable base to stop the eggs and constant bombardment. He has the most awesome personality and it was just a joy to have him in my home during this time. I am so pleased beyond words!

He crawled under the house in a very tight crawlspace and took a useful video. then he went up through a small hatch to the attic -- and found old house borers. This killed the deal, but wed rather know now than later. He was very polite and helpful and a pleasure to work with.
