We had Roberts replace our water heater a few years ago and were very pleased so we called them to install faucets in a kitchen and primary bath redo. Gloria was great in her attention to detail when I called to schedule the project. Ben was friendly, professional and accommodating when we had multiple trades working in our home during the install. Roberts is the way to go for all heating, cooling and plumbing. Our water heater started spewing water everywhere last night. We shut the water main off to the house because the water heater didnt have a shut off.We called Roberts first thing this morning and Gloria said they would get someone out today so we didnt have to be without water.Ben called me within an hour and asked questions about our water heater and said they would be out to replace it today. He even quoted the total price.Ben and Alex were here before noon to replace the heater. We just had Robert’s come to our home to do what was a difficult plumbing situation (older homes have these!) and they came and did the work immediately. They were so knowledgeable about the situation and explained everything to us. They did the work efficiently and in less than two days. We would have waited weeks for some other companies to come. Alex and Andy did the work and they were friendly and also careful of the furnishings in our home. We have never had such excellent service from any plumbing company in the 24 years we lived in our home. I have used Roberts several times in the past and have been completely satisfied with each job. An outside spigot had frozen and broken during the winter, but I did not realize it until the ground thawed this week. It was a Saturday afternoon, but Andy P was here within 30 minutes of my call. He showed me exactly what was needed and explained it thoroughly, then capped the waterline so that it was OK for the remainder of the weekend. On Monday, Michelle called to reconfirm that the time frame Andy P and I had discussed on Saturday was still convenient for my schedule. Monday afternoon Ben was punctual and courteous, and completed the repair in less than an hour. Both guys fully explained the repairs needed before any work was done, which I always appreciate. All of the techs at Roberts have always been prompt and worked with a hustle in their step when our heat went out. We rent, so communication had to go from us to the landlord to Roberts etc. and they always made it so easy. We weren’t scheduled to be seen until Monday and we didn’t have heat but Ben had some extra time on Friday and made it a point to come see us because he knew it was going to freeze over the weekend. I will always recommend Roberts!

We had our pilot light go out and stay out on a Wednesday night. Called them the next day and they came right over. Diagnosed and found a water leak and the water heater was done. Came back the next day during a blizzard, replaced and and repiped it to improve how the last one was set up, but it on lifts to prevent any water damage should there ever be a water issue in the future and they did it all for much lower than I anticipated. Can’t say enough good things about these guys. In a small town it’s hard to find appliance repair businesses to come out that quick, but they did it all in a 24 hour window during a blizzard.

If you are looking for exceptional service that is both done in a timely manner and done with top-notch quality, Roberts is the way to go! We had a new furnace, a/c unit, and water heater installed and had a great experience with Roberts. We had a couple of different places out to get bids and couldnt find anywhere else with a better deal. Before they could get out and replace our units, the furnace went out on a cold night. Their 24/7 service was wonderful! They answered my call and got out to my house with space heaters within an hour. Not only do you get quality service and the best price around, but you also get treated the way customers should. Roberts truly cares about you as not just a customer, but as if you were family. About a month ago (Late September) my AC went out. Both our furnace and AC were original to the house and over 20 years old so I decided it was time to replace both. I called approximately 5 companies to provide estimates and fortunately Roberts had someone available later that afternoon.After enduring other 1.5-2 hour sales pitches from competitors, it was refreshing to deal with Roberts and get a no BS conversation and quote.Price - ExcellentProduct - ExcellentService - Excellent +++++I cant say enough good about these guys regarding service. The day I was quoted the new system they refilled my AC with coolant to get me by for the 6 days until they could do the install (really thankful as it was in the 90s that weekend).During the install.. the service techs were professional, clean and friendly. I mentioned I had some bad toilet valves (wont shut off, West Des Moines water) and was concerned because I wanted to tile the baths later that week. Literally 10 minutes later, two toilet valves were replaced (They wouldnt even accept payment for it). Nothing to do with the job.. but no better way to articulate how Roberts goes above and beyond.To sum it up.. if you are like me and appreciate good old fashion customer service.. then look no further than Roberts.

I recommend Roberts Plumbing, Alex and Tyler came to my house and replaced my water heater. Although they ran into some troubles, including broken pipes and climbing in a pit to turn the water off to my house, they did it all with smiles and professionalism. They made sure everything was fixed and done and went above and beyond with no extra charges over what I was quoted over the phone. Not only was the work they did great but I totally enjoyed the rapport they had with each other, they kept me laughing, you can tell they have great affection and respect for each other. Our water softener had given out, and un-hooking it did not go as planned, so we found ourselves unable to use any water on a Sunday evening. Cannot say enough praise for this company. I had several HVAC companies come give estimates, some of which used scare tactics, put down other business, displayed personal information of their clients (name, address, phone number & amount paid for their system), and were verbally rude to me. Roberts were professional and honest about the replacement of my AC and furnace. They clearly explained different types and options which would be best for the size of my home and household needs. They also let me know names of other companies who would take good care of me if I chose the other company over Roberts. They NEVER put down another company like salesmen for so many other companies did. That reflected on their honesty and integrity. Their installers were on time, courteous, took great care to make sure nothing was damaged in my home during their installation process, and cleaned up behind themselves. They were able to install both AC and furnace in less than a day. I was so relieved with every encounter I had with them as they made me feel I was the most important customer in their business. I am very happy to report that although my furnace, like everyone else in the Midwest, ran a LOT during the cold snap of Feb, I just got my MidAmerican bill and was pleased that my bill was much lower than I was expecting. Roberts picked out the perfect system for my needs. Would recommend Roberts to anyone because of the wonderful service and peace of mind they provided to me in a stressful time.

I have been using Roberts for years for various projects and service calls. They have always been prompt, the techs have always been professional, and they will tell it to you straight.When I put a new bathroom in years ago, they worked with me so I could save some costs. I took out the concrete, they installed all of pipes, I put the concrete back in and walls, and they installed the shower and toilet. Scheduling was smooth and absolutely no issues.A few years later I had them install some heat runs in the basement I finished. They charged me exactly what they quoted.Fast forward to today, I called them because the water heater in the family restaurant wasnt working and we were forced to close early. They had someone out within an hour, even though they were booked a week out. They were able to clean the faulty part and get me up in running in just a few minutes. I know some other companies would have said I need a whole new part.The best thing about their service, is if it something simple to correct, they will show you how to fix it. So you dont need to get another service charge for them to come out again for something so simple. They are looking out for you and not just about their bottom line.

We hired Roberts to replace an existing geothermal unit. They are very friendly, extremely knowledgeable, on time, and conscientious. They had to remove an existing furnace carrying it upstairs through tight quarters, through our kitchen, then carrying the new unit through the same tight quarters. There were 4 men here to remove the old furnace and to replace the new one. They did all this without scratching a wall, appliance, or floor. They have quality products, and do excellent work. I had called them as they were the ones that serviced my furnace for a home i just bought and i had a concern with my furnace blinking a red and green light. Being new to home ownership, I dont know anything when it comes to furnaces and heating. They were very friendly and quickly sent someone out. Upon arrival we found out it was user error and everything was fine but Ben pointed out something the real estate agent didnt mention to me in that the motor on my furnace was about to go out and he recommended that I get it replaced immediately. He walked me through everything and gave me an honest quote which it ended up being on the lower end (yay!). Ben then came back the very next morning and replaced it with the part and now everything is running smoothly and quietly. She called and Andy Roberts came by and solved the problem late on a Saturday, saving our house from frozen pipes and me from marriage counseling.Next we called the team out to service our A/C this Spring. This time it was Andy Pratt (I believe, he had a pony tail). As a husband I worry about workers at our house when its just my wife but not with Roberts! Andy did the routine maintenance and educated us on the ways to add life to our AC - thanks Andy!Its now mid July and the heat wave this week is daunting. Yesterday my wife was concerned the A/C was not working and called. They informed us the team was all on jobs but they would try to send someone over because of the emergency (house was at 80 degrees) and this week in the 90s-100. Chad arrived after a full day and proceeded to diagnose the problem and he even had the part to make the repair! He checked the system and cleaned the unit for us. We suffer from tons of pollen and oak seed so having a pro teach us the best way to keep the unit clean was valuable. Chad acknowledged they had serviced the unit and nobody could have predicted the part would fail, as we used them for the spring check he discounted the service performed without us asking - when does that happen in the world today?The whole team is great from the office staff to the techs sent out. We are very thankful for their honesty, hard work ,consultation, and kindness. They have a great team that seems to stick around which shows they are a top shop! We have used Roberts twice, once for a repair at our previous residence, and another to purchase a new A/C system at our current home. Both times the technitions seemed knowledgeable and friendly.With the new A/C unit, Roberts calculated that our old 4-Ton Lennox R22 unit may have been a bit too large and suggested a Ruud 3.5-Ton, 13.5 SEER, R410a unit to aide with dehumidification. After doing some due diligence, we agreed to purchase the new unit and scheduled the installation for the next week.The two installers had the old unit pulled and the new unit installed in about six hours, even with having to thread the new lines through a finished basement ceiling (although one access hole had to be cut where the lines exit the basement). Installers were friendly and personable, and tolerated me looking over their shoulders the whole time. For you technical folks, they properly purged the system with dry nitrogen and evacuated the it down to 350 microns. Since it had been raining, they could only install a partial charge, but came back the next day to take their final readings and dial-in the final charge with the proper amount of refrigerant.Overall, we are pleased with the installation and were pleasantly surprised with the installation of a slightly better coil, done by Roberts at no extra cost to us. Apparently, the warehouse was out of standard-efficiency coils and Roberts substituted the high-efficiency version on their dime. With the better coil, we were able to achieve 14.0 SEER, putting us at the next higher level of efficiency which, in turn, qualified us for a slightly better rebate from Mid-American Energy.Roberts checked all our boxes and we have no qualms giving them our recommendation.

These guys are super perfesional, competitivly priced, and great to work with. I knew I likely needed a new AC & Furnace this year. I explained this to them last year and they came out 2022 to give me a quote so I could get an idea of cost. The came out again this year when the unit wouldnt start to see if there was anything they could do. I ended up opting for a complete swap out. Both years they were the lowest quote along with being recommended.Pick these guys.

We recently had Roberts Heating, Cooling and Plumbing install a new furnace and air conditioner and do some plumbing work for us. Andy came the day after we called, explained everything and gave us the cost of what we needed done. He was very knowledgeable, professional and down to earth. He explained everything thoroughly and answered all of our questions. The price he gave us was less than we expected. Alex and Kyle installed the unit and did the plumbing. They did a great job, were friendly, answered any questions we had, and got it all done in less time than we had anticipated. They also were very neat and cleaned everything up before they left. Having owned a small business ourselves, we appreciated working with a family-owned business. We would highly recommend Roberts for any of your heating, cooling or plumbing needs. If you are looking for someone to treat you like family and give it to you straight, these are your people!It had been recommended by another local company to replace our furnace because the needed repair would be $1400-1500. Andy showed up, made a call to find the part (and it was clear he had a solid relationship with the company providing the part), and provided a quote for significantly less. We later found out this competitor paid their service people sales commission so it was very advantageous for him to inflate the repair price to make a new unit sale.The next day Cory fixed us right up. And here is where is gets good! The door handle heading into the room with the furnace was loose. Cory just fixed it. How is that for amazing service and treating their customers like family.We will never call another heating/cooling company again!

We called for a quote on a new air conditioner system, and after the salesman inspected our broken old compressor, he quoted a price that was very reasonable, and replacement of a furnace wasnt necessary. We set up a time for the installation for tomorrow. By lunch, installation was moved up to this afternoon. Three hours later we have air conditioning again. Installation was very good, and the gentleman doing the installation know what theyre doing. Very pleasant experience.

Started using Roberts this year after meeting one of their techs as a new neighbor. We had a 21 year old HVAC system which was working ok, but were looking at replacement in a pro active way. Got an estimate from them and a number of other local companies in early spring. Roberts was in the ballpark of what we had budgeted, but we decided to put off the replacement for a few months. They guaranteed the price for 180 days. Mid summer felt the AC needed a check. Used Roberts & was very pleased with the service & skills of the tech. Had to add some very expensive freon. Tech said Roberts would credit that towards the new unit if we decided to purchase one yet this year. We elected to install a new system a couple of months later. Roberts was able to provide and install a great system sized for our home within two weeks of our decision. The techs were friendly and expertly installed our new Ruud system in less than half a day. And yes, the freon charge was credited back on the new system. A month and half later using both the AC and heat functions, could not be more pleased with our decision to go with Roberts.
