Rafael and Deondre from Vigilante Plumbing came out to do reconnection of my kitchen pipes. Rafael is both extremely friendly and knowledgeable in his work. They both did quick work in identifying old parts that needed replacement and even took the time to understand the layout of my pipes and water tubes. I especially appreciated him explaining to me what he was doing and why so I could understand the basics of plumbing 101. Rafael made sure everything was in working order after reconnection with no leaks and issues before they left which had me confident that I could use my kitchen again. Thank you both for your hard work! I would be happy to contact Vigilant for plumbing assistance again in the future.

Whenever I have serious or complicate plumbing issues, I call Vigilante. They are extremely professional. I was emailed a confirmation that included a photo of the technician the morning of my appointment. In this day and age, it gives you piece of mind to know that the person showing up at your door is legitimate. My technician, Steven Sanchez, and his assistant were extremely polite and professional. The work they did (a bathroom vanity replacement) was excellent. They also removed the old vanity and cleaned the site when finished. I highly recommend them.

I really love that they sent a photo of their technician ahead of time so we knew who to expect too. Julio was very friendly and thankfully it was an easy fix he was able to help with fast. We have been clients of Vigilante for years. When our sump pump recently gave out, our first call was to Vigilante. We specifically asked for Rafael because weve enjoyed working with him before, but all of the service people who have been to our home have been terrific. Rafael (and his partner Lawrence) did not disappoint. Friendly and bright, respectful of our home, explained everything to us in plain talk, completed the job and cleaned up afterward. We will definitely turn to Vigilante again should we need their services. I know we pay a bit of a premium to work with a firm like theirs, but you get what you pay for, and what we got was peace of mind.

The Vigilante team showed up on time and worked efficiently while here. They could not solve our immediate problem, a slow leak under the kitchen sink, as they detected its source in a small hole in a Kohler valve assembly specific to our faucet. But they did advise us of potential future leaks from aged drainpipes which they replaced. My only problem with the experience was that the senior member of the team insisted that the small pipe under the faucet was welded onto the faucets base, which seemed implausible and turned out not to be the case. Its better to investigate carefully prior to such claims.

While they werent the cheapest, they were reasonable and straightforward with their recommendations, and put me on the calendar with only a few weeks wait during the busiest season. I highly recommend working with Frank who is friendly, patient, organized and responsive to messages. The office responds to phone calls way faster than emails. I recommend calling them in the morning. My new Mitsubishi system was just installed and its working, so no complaints yet!

Steven from Vigilante did a beautiful job on my clogged tub. He was on time, courteous, scrupulously clean, and quick. He told me the price and the risks if my pipes were aged beyond the ability to be snaked.He and his assistant completed the job, tested both the tub and the sink, and left me with a working bathroom. Thank you!Note: In January, Rafael from Vigilante and his assistant came over very quickly after I telephoned to fix a gas leak in my basement. He did an excellent job of finding more than one rusty hole in the gas pipe (!) and replacing it. He was a master at what he was doing, and I was left with a spotless basement and the feeling that a disaster had been averted.I think this older review was lost, and I want to make sure that Rafael gets his due.

This review has been a long time coming since the work was done in February 2024. Since the city requires new gas lines for some buildings/homes, as they may have leaks or dont meet the latest NYC DOB and National Grid standards of safety, and considering the building explosions that have occurred over the last few years, the work needed to be performed sooner than later. The team at Vigilante took time to replace old gas pipes in our building with precision and safety in mind. Oscar lead the team to do the installation and they were all professional and courteous while performing the work.

This is my first experience with Vigilante. I called them because I had a carbon monoxide leak. Mike was at our house soon after my call to diagnose the problem. When my combi-boiler broke I found out that my boiler room was not to code. To get to code I would need to add a drain in the room. Two plumbing companies told me that I would have to rip up my neighbors ceiling and run pipes to my bathroom. I cannot say enough amazing things about Vigilante. After hiring many companies to solve my heating issue and replacing parts, Vigilante finally solved my heating issues and I have continuous heat for the first time in three years. To say they went above and beyond wouldn’t cover the level of service. Frank H. is the GOAT, coming at all hours to make our new heater install smooth, as well as tweaking it as we got used to the system. He was excellent and respectful while collaborating with our original builder and contractor. Frank also fixed another company’s mistakes when he noticed it. He never gave up on our heat and because of him we now are warm in the winter and can store our space heaters.Further, the whole Vigilante team is so so kind. When we were trying to fix our heat in March and I was about to give birth, they offered to provide space heaters free of charge. They also sent me beautiful flowers to celebrate the birth of my son. No question or request was too big or small and they were always positive and helpful (and we faced some annoying times working with the manufacturer of my previous heater). I booked the appointmentment for a heating evaluation little after the hour and they said a technician could be here within the hour, which Antonio did. He was extremely detailed and thorough to listen to concerns, watch the videos of instances that weren’t displaying at that moment and communicated each step of his testing in real time. What he was doing, what was it’s purpose and what the expectation was. I expected the company to be on the higher end and they were out of reach where I could decide without comparing, especially for the holidays. Probably would have booked the service immediately. Vigilante was great when we have an emergency situation with our water heater dying (leaking everywhere). Were willing and able to be there quickly (about 1.5hrs from our initial call) and were super efficient once they arrived. The two guys they sent were nice and knowledgable. Plus, the company as a whole was pretty tech focused (used tablets, sent text updates, etc.).

Kerry was very knowledgeable and thorough when servicing my furnace. He was also very professional and patient when answering my many questions. I was pleasantly surprised when he asked for a broom and dust pan to clean up the small amount of debris that was on the floor. Great customer service and just as great staff. My boiler went out last night, the day before the holiday, and my first call with Amy started to put me at ease as she assured me that she would do her best to get someone here today, which she did, and then the handoff to Antonio a few hours later.Antonio was very professional and kept me informed of the testing being done and final conclusion to resolve the problem. Needless to say its quite toasty in my home now and glad that Vigilante was the first place I called.

Vigilante were really great to deal with. Professional but with a personal touch. We had to deal with some issues (that were of no fault of Vigilante) and they were super responsive, helpful and basically bent themselves out of shape to get everything resolved satisfactorily, for which I am very grateful. I recommend these guys very strongly and would definitely use them again next time.
