Abend was able to schedule an appointment for the same day to check out our sump pump issue -- during a rainy spring when I know they had to be getting tons of calls for drainage issues.Dustin arrived early (after calling to check first to make sure wed be home) and was friendly, courteous & professional. He quickly diagnosed the problem with our pump, provided a reasonable quote for replacement with some options he explained & answered questions about, and got the job done quickly once we settled on one.Will definitely be calling Abend again when were in need of one of the services they offer!

Very professional, responsive, excellent customer service, and reasonably priced! When my heater broke unexpectedly, they were able to work in a service visit the same day, even though they were already quite booked up. Mr. Abend was able to order the parts and fix the problem the following day. I joined their membership program, where they visit twice a year to do testing and safety checks of all the plumbing and heating; it is definitely worth the price, especially since I live in an older home. Please support this local business, I highly recommend!

We had a sump pump that stopped working the other day and a basement full of water. I called a 24 hour company and just got the run around. I called Abend this morning and they were at my house by 1:30. Dustin text me before he arrived and couldnt have been any nicer. He was very professional and explained everything to me and provided an estimate upfront. He took his time and even showed me the old sump pump he took out. I am so happy with the quick service and professionalism from this company. I didnt know if I was going to have it fixed by the time it rained again. I would recommend Abend to anyone who has to have any plumbing work done. Thank you again Dustin for being so nice and helping me get this fixed right away. My dog even liked Dustin and he was kind to her. So I know he is a good guy🙂. I will call them again if needed. Keep up the good work.

Had a sewage emergency on Easter weekend, called the team at Abend on the day of Easter and Katie/Jessica answered within seconds with pure professionalism even during a holiday. In addition, they listened to every detail I provided, was told that they are scheduled out until Thursday but still managed to make a time window for our emergency the very next day (Monday). Justin and Joey arrived well before their time window and really took their time in looking everything before making any decisions on what to do. Furthermore, both of them were super communicative and very straight forward. They found the problem, fixed it, and in the end cleaned up all areas within the house and outside. High recommend this company and team as they are patient and very dedicated to ensuring the job is 110% done.P.s price can’t be beat by any of these well known corporations.- Zhen

This was after a heavy snowfall here in MD. We noticed a gas leak and called the fire dept. They came out, found the leak and shut off our gas. We were referred to Abend Services, and I called to hopefully get same-day service (knowing these kinds of things might take days due to high demand). Jess was amazing, told me that she will send someone here to check out the leak same day. Dustin and Joe showed up and they were professional and definitely understood our worries. They made a thorough check of all the gas lines and because it was late, capped the leak location (the stove) (thankfully the leak was not at the heating system), and turned our gas on to have heat!! we scheduled a follow-up appointment, and they said they will make sure everything is 100% before leaving. I am thankful for their time, help and concern for not having heat. Great service and definitely will use them again!

It seemed to be a Mission Impossible with my furnace fan blower motor repair. Abend techs took on the mission. Believe it or not my furnace was only 12 years old and the manufacturers part was no longer available. With the patience of a Saint, John, did an amazing job, of searching for a compatible part. The office staff, Jessica especially became a sympathetic listener, as well as an up to date informer of status, with the holidays, times, shipping, receiving of part. I was never left in the dark. John never gave up on us having a working furnace. The estimate that was given, not knowing furnace part no longer available, was STILL the amount that was paid. No additional charge. John was a true professional. He found the part and we HAVE HEAT! ABEND, is a teamwork for satisfaction company. Truly the business to call. Many thanks.

I highly recommend getting plumbing repair work from Abend! My experience was so awesome. My hallway bathroom toilet had been running for a week so I started turning water valve off behind the toilet; the 3rd day the knob turned but the water would not shut off. I thought I could repair it by watching YouTube but after a few videos I didn’t trust myself. I contacted Katie 1130pm and told her how my bill was going to be high because my toilet been running non stop for 2 days and explained my issue, 730am she contacted me back, 4pm she let me know Jim would be coming out within an hour, within that hour Jim contacted me letting me know he will be on the way. Jim came and educated me on the issue and showed me where my main water switch was in cause of emergency. He started on my toilet and was done within 20 minutes. Excellent customer service, knowledgeable, professional and super fast. Jim cleaned up and took all trash with him even after I told him it was ok. Jim was super pleasant and patient as he listened to my rant about YouTube. Long story short Katie and Jim were awesome and I am totally satisfied with my experience! I highly recommend getting any plumbing services from Abend Plumbing and Heating!

I live in a very old house with very old plumbing and appliances. On top of that my water heater and furnace are in a crawlspace under my house with only a trap door to enter through. I knew it wouldnt be easy to remove our very old hot water heater and install a new one but James & Joe did a FANTASTIC job! They wrestled the old beast out. They replaced extremely old valves and brought everything up to todays code. There was an issue with my low water pressure which made their job harder but they stayed until everything was working perfectly. This is my first use of a plumber in over 15 years and I can safely say I wont call any other company for my future needs. They showed up quickly thanks to Katie, which was wonderful because we had no hot water. They worked very long and hard to get our hot water flowing again. My house is definitely not the average home (old & not laid out well) which makes these sorts of projects harder but James & Joe really know their stuff and got it done. I HIGHLY recommend Abend Plumbing & Heating, theyre great from start to finish. With the cost of everything so high these days I was afraid how much this job would cost but I believe I paid a very fair price for all the time and work done. If youre concerned about cost I would definitely call Abend for an estimate, they honestly do great work.

I had a leak issue that was addressed by a less than favorable plumber with Abend. The work, however, was done well and the communication was superb. I noticed there was an issue the next day and called the owner of Abend. I discussed the plumbers who were at my house and concerns. She quickly apologized and told me she would take care of it. She sent a new plumber who was very nice and informative. He made me feel comfortable and explained everything. I never felt forced into anything and we talked about other issues around my house and he was very kind to tell me what I could do to remedy them on my own. He never sold me something I didn’t need. Although my first experience with Abend was not a good one, they did everything and more to make up for it. Thank you Abend!!! Also the pricing for the work that was done was very fair.

The two gentlemen plumbers who were assigned to my project were OUTSTANDING in every detail. After working with 2 other plumbing companies, who were horrible (sent technicians who did not have the necessary skills and knowledge to do the job), I was concerned if all plumbers were the same. These two men were skilled, knowledgeable and tested their results several times before leaving. I will NEVER use anyone else but Abend Services again.

We cant say enough good (great!) about Abend Plumbing. We had Abend out a few weeks ago on an unrelated matter, which they took care of promptly, courteously and accurately.Then last week we found we were in need again of a reputable plumber -- and in a hurry, since our shower was affected this time. As before, they (Jim and Joe) came out promptly, diagnosed the cause of our trouble, told us what needed to be done and within 24 hours, Jim had our shower back in perfect working order. Abend is the best -- responsive, knowledgeable, polite and well call them again without hesitation if/when we need a plumber!

Abend Plumbing came out, removed a high end toilet that the previous owner installed that seemed clogged and would not flush. Abend got there super quick, snaked the toilet, unfortunately, it didnt take the first time, but they came back the next morning, very early, (we were still in bed) removed the toilet and snaked it again! They applied our payment from the previous day to the work they did on the second day, and I will tell you it was one of the best plumbing experiences I have ever had. Call these guys, they WILL treat you right!

Thank you Abend Plumbing for the rescue. During a bathroom renovation, a drainage problem was uncovered.This renovation revolved around bringing an ambulatory loved one home. Abend mobilized on short notice to fix two major issues.They even took time to help friends put together walkers and other assistance devices in preparation for our return from skilled nursing home in another state.

Crying tears of joy. Abend went above and beyond. They were sent out to me by my home warranty company. They came promptly, worked with my limited schedule availability and kept lines of communication open as they had to make three separate visits - kitchen sink was clogged but apparently the pipes had corroded and had to be replaced.I have AHS Warranty (American Home Shield -which I do not recommend - check out their FB page). Of course, they did not want to cover it. Were coming up with all sorts of reasons why it did not meet their criteria for coverage.Beverly at Abend went to bat for me and after some work, SHE GOT THEM TO COVER THE WHOLE $800 bill!!! If you are looking for a good plumbing company, look no further.

Abend has been a reliable company for my husband and I thus far. We recently purchased a house (early 2022) and we’ve have a few issues come up with plumbing (2 different frozen pies that bursted) and HVAC (our unit is a little older). We’ve had to make multiple calls to them for various reasons, and they are always able to get us scheduled within a couple of days. They have been the most flexible company by far and was even extremely understanding and flexible when discussing financial constraints. They could have easily turned down the job, and I truly appreciated that they didn’t. The staff are always friendly, especially John, Katie and Jessica. I feel they truly have our best interest at heart. It is important to note that despite our HVAC system being a little older, John has and always done his best to troubleshoot and find solutions to keep the system running. I’ve never felt pressured to replace the entire system and he does an amazing job answering all of my hundreds of questions. He even takes the time to educate us on the system and its issues so that we can be informed.Additionally, we have joined their membership program which has some great perks. We get discounts on every service and it includes seasonal inspections/check ups. I highly recommend!

Disappointed that arrival was a little later than expected and then disappointedd that you did not have supply of parts - simply two water valaves on the truck. Otherwise the tech was courteous and got he job done.

Update!3 years later this is STILL my go to plumbing/hvac company.. this time David was sent out, he was awesome!...Rick was the absolute BEST! We had a leak that he found and repaired. He was also very confident and knowledgeable, excellent customer service and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend!

We have used Abend Plumbing and Heating on several occasions and have always found them to be fast and courteous. On our last occasion, we were in dire need of getting our two bathroom sinks unclogged and called on a Monday morning (always tough)! They sent a technician out by Monday evening, started the job and found that additional work needed to be done. The techicians were courteous and kept me informed of every step of repair. They were able to come back Tuesday and finish the job. Plus, they worked around my schedule on Tuesday and we are grateful to have our sinks working properly. I know they have a good reputation because my parents used them decades ago when Mr. Abend started the business. Their reputation and customer service speaks for itself. I would highly recommend them!

Abend Plumbing did a fantastic job fixing a leaky hose bib for us and removing the hose that had gotten stuck. Whenever you have to call a plumber, youre afraid of what it might cost, but they made the process easy and did the job for a fair price. Their tech was polite and respectful and made my wife feel comfortable when I wasnt there. I would highly recommend them.
