To reduce the gas usage of our heated pool, I contacted a number of solar engineering companies to ask for environment-friendly options. Aqua Care Solar came up with the most realistic and convincing proposals.Considering various options, including a solar thermal system, they finally recommended installing a cold weather electric heat pump and increasing the size of our roof top solar array.This was a relatively complex project because the pool heat pump had to be integrated into the existing water circulation system. The external heat pump also had to be mounted on a pedestal and secured against high winds. Then the controls had to be brought online in a location where there was no existing WiFi coverage. So, this project needed a lot of specific problem solving and tailored solutions.My contacts were Pete and Adam. Both are very knowledgeable on all aspects of solar engineering and construction, including the electrical and control side. I was particularly impressed with how effectively they coordinated the work with the pool builder, who took over the plumbing work. They also took care of all the permitting with the city of Boulder. The system was installed to my full satisfaction in April 2023. It is surprisingly quiet, heats better than I had expected and has already saved significant amounts of gas in the cool weather of this spring. The total cost of the project was also very reasonable and stayed within the agreed budget.In summary, I had a very pleasant experience using Aqua Care Solar and fully recommend them for installing heat pumps, solar panels and the like. In fact, I plan to use their services again for further environmental upgrades to our house.

My parents installed a Novan solar hot water system back in the 70s and it worked for decades. But they got older and stopped taking care of things and by the time I took over their house, it wasnt working. I thought it might be a write-off, but Boulders Smart Regs energy standards had me taking a look at getting it fixed.Aqua Care to the rescue! They checked out the system and made a detailed list of what could be salvaged and what needed to be replaced. They were able to save more parts that I expected. It still wasnt cheap, but a good investment compared to some of the other alternatives for Smart Regs compliance.Aqua Care was great and their work was excellent. System works perfectly now, probably will for a long time to come. As long as it does, nobody that lives there will ever run out of hot water again.

Very responsive and helpful business! They worked on our solar thermal system and got it working much more efficiently. They are knowledgable, personable, and reliable. I would highly recommend Aqua Care Solar.Its now 11/2023 and just had another great experience with knowledgable guys at Aqua Care Solar. They replaced the 15 year old glycol in our system that had darkened and turned acidic with solar appropriate glycol, and very efficiently diagnosed and replaced a controller that had quit operating. Now our solar thermal system is ready to keep us warm this winter.Still five stars *****

I have an 8 year old Solar thermal system that has performed wonderfully. 3 days ago it failed. I called the company that installed the system and and trouble shot with them a couple times, without any success. Then I called them again to see about a service call. They said they couldnt help on the phone any more but they could send a tech out in 2 weeks for a $200 minimum charge. I called Aqua care and spoke with Pete 5 times over a 3 hour period and my system is running fine.This company is great and I highly recommend using them for solar thermal installation and related maintenance issues.Thanks PeteJack Thompson, Satinwood Construction Inc., General Contractors in Boulder since 1975

We had a somewhat different hot water-based system installed many years ago by another provider. And Aqua Care Solar was the only company we trusted to work on that old system. So, when it came time to finally replace it, we chose Aqua Care. They were very easy to work with and we would definitely recommend them. They know hot water heating systems inside and out.

The service charges are very fair and reasonable, and we highly recommend this company.

Adam, the technician who serviced our system, was both experienced and very easy to work with. Initial visit was timely, professional, efficient etc. but what impressed me to the point I am typing this ( something I have shunned in the past ) is mainly two things. Pete and Adam thought thru my situation -- To Save ME $ and found an effective, less costly alternative to remedy the problem. Secondly; later I called with an issue that easily could/should have resulted in a costly - for me - service call but instead Pete insisted on hearing what the issue was and took his time patiently and successfully walking me thru the issue.

Aqua Solar came to my rescue! When the previous solar company walked away from their work (300 feet of underground DHW lines leaking!!). Aqua Solar found and repaired the leaks, tuned the system and got it running the way I had hoped. They also fixed my PV system. I am very impressed with them and they will be the only ones maintaining my system from now on.
