    I had a water heater replaced recently in my condo. They are the best. Prompt, responsive, experienced, friendly people at very reasonable price. I will definitely recommend them to neighbors and highly recommend them to anyone in need of plumbing services. Ryan Bishop was the technician who replaced my water heater. The nicest person you ever meet. I had several companies come over for estimates. The caliber of people not comparable to the crew of Planet Plumbing.

    I have used planet plumbing several times and have been satisfied. However, this time I was truly happy with the service that Russ and Ben provided. It was the first time that they answered the service call, and I will be asking for them from now on. Russ went out of his way to find a 20+ year old cartridge for my shower so that I did not have to replace everything - we had multiple heads and a controller. His diligence saved us from ripping everything out to redo the entire shower! Super happy with him. Plus, I just felt he was genuine and authentic in his desire to provide excellent service.

When we had a recent sewer line back-up, the company was on-site and helping us diagnose and solve the problem within hours.     What a relief! I have an old house and Planet sent their most experienced drain lead, Mike (Steedo) who did an awesome job clearing our backup. While here, we discovered that my basement floor drain trap was not clearing. He took the time and extra effort to remove a rock, a marble, and TWO drain caps from down in the trap that were wedged into the outlet to clear it and getting it working again. He also capped a couple of lines that had sewer gas, and he helped me move some heavy washing machines. A great work ethic from Steedo compared to younger plumbers Ive worked with in the past who would just be in-and-out with the least work possibleTo add to this, my sewer backup happened after 9pm on Christmas eve. Naturally, I was freaking out because theres no way I was going to get a plumber in to clear our line until AFTER Christmas, let alone schedule one or get estimates, etc. So I did my research and settled on Planet. I submitted the web form and just hoped for the best for a prompt response after Christmas (holidays with no plumbing is ... not fun). Lo and behold, I heard from Planet on Christmas day and they scheduled Steedo for first thing in the morning after. Really good communication even on Christmas day!

    I really appreciate that you sent Scott on short notice and the prompt and efficient service. I am not the home owner-am housesitting-so when there was flooding due to a clogged line while doing laundry, I was a little nervous, not knowing the home and the homeowners being in another state. They confirmed it was a recurring issue and had utilized Planet Plumbing in the past. They coordinated directly with you guys, and got Scott out on the same day, working with my availability, too. He understood the issue with minimal explanation and fixed it promptly and efficiently, ensuring I understood what was being done so I could relay to the homeowners and give them peace of mind. Scott was professional, friendly and patient and I’m grateful, on behalf of the homeowners, too, that they can come home to functioning plumbing and not have to hassle with that or have any issues after a long travel day, with two small children.     My experience with Planet Plumbing was outstanding. They saved the sale of my condo. We had an issue come up last minute prior to closing on our condo. They came out the next day and diagnosed the problem. They could not get the part they needed in time so they worked with the manufacturer to get the full assembly containing the needed part. The full assembly was delivered and installed in a very tight timeframe. They even expedited getting me a detailed receipt required by the purchaser of the condo. Great work!! I will certainly be using their services in the future.

    I know the very best plumber in town and his name is Justin Martinez at Planet Plumbing! Let me tell you why. I had a close to worst case plumbing scenario. Pipes/drain under kitchen sink had given out so when snaked it came up mud. The kicker was there was NO access to the pipes and the entire system was a mess. Justin jackhammered through the living, dining and bath room to get access. Took about 7 looooong days. Justin was so over the top professional, competent as well as always thoughtful, kind and concerned. It was a total night mare from my perspective but having him come to the house everyday and work so diligently, carefully as well as tidying up the mess after each days floor surgery finally settled my nerves. The cement is now curing and peace returns. I now know the best plumber on the planet and it is Justin Martinez and his company was wonderful to work with. Alice Renouf

    Ive had countless positive experiences with Planet Plumbing. Ive owned my condo in boulder for 7 years and I dont call anyone but them.     We have a 70 year old house in Longmont and with it came 70 year old plumbing. When we incidentally found a leak in the sewer pipe in the crawlspace (while dealing with problems with an outdoor faucet) we called Planet Plumbing. They sent someone to assess the problem right away, making sure we were up and running before the proper repairs were made. Chase and Josh came to the rescue and these guys knew what they were doing! It took a full day to make the repairs and we knew from the start what the estimated cost would be, even figuring in the worst case scenario. These guys were efficient, personable and very neat. Worst case scenario did not happen and Chase and Josh did a wonderful job! The cost was less than we expected to pay, given the amount of work required. We HIGHLY recommend Planet Plumbing & they wont send a dummy!

    Planet Plumbing has been running service calls on our 110 year old house since before we bought it in 2014. The expertise of their master staff is outstanding and consistent. For anything specifically sewer related, look no further than Mike B. His A-Z knowledge of sewer lines is evident every time we see him (which is annually to clean out our old terra cotta pipe).The one time things went sideways with less experienced staff, Planet Plumbing rushed a master plumber out and got us patched up quickly.     Weve had quite a few plumbing issues recently, and we always use Planet Plumbing, specifically because we love working with Chase. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, professional, friendly, and he does really excellent work. We never feel like he is trying to upsell anything that isnt needed, in fact quite the opposite - we feel like he is always giving us options that could save us money. Its never fun to have to have a plumber come by, but we feel we are in really good, dependable, and trustworthy hands with Chase, and it makes the whole process far less painful, and actually enjoyable if you can believe it. He is really meticulous in his work, and we feel that he always goes the extra step to make things not only good but great. We highly recommend Chase next time you have plumbing needs! Just a shoutout to the folks in the office as well - every time we call to schedule something, they are always friendly and helpful, and they can usually get us in the schedule pretty quickly.

    Ryan was EXCEPTIONAL!!!! We were able to snag a weekend appointment at no extra charge for a leaky faucet that turned south quickly when I tried to fix it myself. The shut-off valve gaskets disintegrated when I tightened them and there ended up being rubber pieces in the dishwasher and faucet lines because of this. He repaired and replaced everything in a timely manner and was meticulous with his work. We will use them again without hesitation. Ask for Ryan...he is excellent!

    Planet Pluming far exceeded our expectations. My mother was quoted by another company in town as needing her entire sewer line replaced, without doing a scope, and the total was going to be over $15,000 of work (when asked for a detailed estimate for the scope of work the company ghosted me). We got a second opinion with Planet Plumbing, and low and behold the sewer line is fine and does not need replacing. Their technician was great explaining everything to my elderly mother and gave her some simple maintenance tips for keeping her sewer line clean in the future. They also provided a full emailed narrative of what they found, the video of the scope and their recommendations. If we have any plumbing issues in the future we will absolutely be working with Planet Plumbing.

    We were pleased with Planet Plumbing in all respects. Saul, our service consultant, was on time, polite, knowledgeable, informative, respectful and totally helpful. He spent time educating us on our water heating systems and options for repair/replacement, and did not try to upsell us on any services or equipment that were unnecessary. He called ahead with a very accurate ETA, showed up on time and kept us apprised of progress. I will definitely use them again for all future needs as long as Saul is on their staff.

    Our experience with Planet Plumbing was great! Gary is the plumber that came out to our house a few days. He gave an honest assessment of every scenario and did a general check of everything, then explained our options and the potential benefits and / or downside to each one. There was no feeling of upselling. He was able to explain things in laymans terms for a family that doesnt know much about plumbing and made it easy for us to make decisions. Pricing was extremely reasonable and they were able to do everything in a very timely fashion (not to mention Gary stayed far past the usual working hours to finish the job one night). The office is also very easy to work with as far as scheduling and getting documentation (invoices, etc.). I recommend Planet Plumbing.Update (2024): I continue to be very pleased with Planet Plumbings services. Scott tackled various leak issues under our kitchen sink and installed a new faucet for us. He was always on time, quick to respond, did a great job analyzing the problems and was very fair and reasonable in pricing. We continue to love our experience with Planet Plumbing.

    Mike Reed and his apprentice, Ryan, did work on my bathroom renovation. Mike called to let me know he was on his way and his arrival time.     I had a clogged drain in my kitchen sink on a Friday night. Planet Plumbing answered the phone immediately and were able to schedule me for the following morning with no extra weekend charge. My sink and garbage disposal work so much better now.

    My hot water heater died at the most inopportune time, as always. We had guest arriving in a few hours. I called Planet Plumbing and they said they would send a plumber out at 3 pm. Justin showed up at 3 pm sharp. As expected, he diagnosed an extremely difficult installation saying that it would take most of a day. After giving him the go-ahead, he left immediately to go across town get the new hot water heater before the supply house closed. I fully expected him to show up first thing in the morning to start the removal and installation, but no, he got a helper and came right back, unloaded it and started tearing out the old water heater. He continued working on it until the installation was finished well into the evening. My wife and I are so thankful that our guests didnt have to go without hot water that evening and the next morning. But, wait, theres more.Strangely, there was no water going to one of the bathroom sinks and the flow was greatly diminished to another one. I called Planet Plumbing early the next morning. The guy who took my call could have just told me to clean the screens in the end of the faucets, which would have been easy to do (changing the old hot water heater had released a bunch of gunk into the water lines), but no, he sent another plumber out immediately to do it for me. Planet Plumbing is awesome! I cant recommend them highly enough.

    Planet Plumbing saved me $6000!!!! I had a stopped up drain in my basement laundry room drain. Had another plumbing company come out. They were convinced (and almost convinced me) that sewer line was corroded and would have to be replaced. They wanted to jackhammer up my floor to replace.Luckily, I got a second opinion from Planet Plumbing. Don came out. Got a special small camera.     We have been working with Planet Plumbing for over 5 years. Projects they have done for us include sewer locates replacements and cleanings, replacement of freeze burst pipes, replacement of whole house shutoffs, water heater install, and self draining hose bibs.Not every job has been perfect but that’s just how it goes and Planet has always been quick to fix any issues. Last time there was an issue with their work they sent someone out on a Sunday night to fix a poorly soldered connection, with no additional charge obviously.If you need copper work done, you can request that they send a tech with a pro-press.My one comment to the company is that we have had more issues since they expanded rapidly. My recollection is that they used to send master plumbers out on every call but now we only see journeymen and the quality of the work has dropped slightly as a result.

    Had a plumbing emergency at 8:30 at night twice in the same week and they were on top of it! The people on the phone were super empathetic and helpful and they were able to send someone out first thing in the morning.     Amazing service and honest, fair pricing. I’m a property manager and I had a leak in the ceiling of a condo I manage. In the process of isolating the leak, the old screw valve for the whole condo broke. I called 2 plumbers I have previously used but did not hear back from them. Then I called a different plumbing company that I found through Google, High 5 Plumbing, because I did not want the tenants to be without water. He showed up, said if the screw valve to the whole building broke when he shut it off, I was responsible and that the HOA should come shut it off. In the mean time he gave me a quote for over $1,100 to replace the old screw valve with a new ball valve and explained how it was going to take a very long time to drain down all 4 units on the main valve. As part of that quote, he included a $200 minimum labor charge and a $180 difficult access fee because the valve was in a half-height crawl space. Luckily for me he was called away on an emergency before the HOA could come turn off the water.The next morning, I called Planet Plumbing, on the recommendation of a friend, and they said they could have someone there at 4pm. They showed up at 4 pm, listened to what had happened and in less than 1 hour they shutoff the water, replaced the old screw valve with a new ball valve and had the water back on to the whole building, all for $350.I will only use Planet Plumbing in the future for all the properties I manage and for my own home.

    After calling another service and getting a nearly $900 estimate to repair the hot water line on our 8 year old water heater we called Planet Plumbing to get a quote. As we are a immune compromised household we were very happy to be given the list of safety measures they were taking (and asking us to take) during the appointment without even needing to ask. The ENTIRE time he was here Darren wore gloves, social distanced, worn a mask and carried sanitizer anything I had to touch such as the ipad for approving the quote and payment. Considering I had to tell another repair person to leave our house because he told him he had to wear a mask the entire time he was inside we were thoroughly impressed.Darren the plumber identified the issue right away and was extremely thorough in explaining the issue and the resolution. He quoted repairing versus replacing and laid out what additional steps would need to be considered in replacing this gas water heater (i.e. Permits, inspections, etc). After looking at the quote which was less then half the quote from the other service we told him wed like to go ahead and get it fixed assuming wed have to reschedule. He offered to repair it right then and there but due to a schedule conflict we asked him to return. He actually made room for us on his schedule and schedule the repair 2 days later. During those 2 days he reconsidered the best way to fix the pipe and came up with a solution that was much faster and about $100 less then his original quote.Any interesting side note, we had actually had work done by Darren previously when we rented a condo. While we had multiple repairs done during the time we rented there Darren and Planet Plumbing were the only ones to ever properly diagnose and fix the problems. I cannot recommend Darren and Planet Plumbing any more strongly. They are respectful, highly knowledgeable, honest, trustworthy and most importantly they stand behind their work. We were VERY happy.

    I called Planet Plumbing to see if they could come out and clear a sewer line that had backed up into our rental duplex. I was desperate because we had already schedule services from another plumbing company to come out but they did not show up and did not return our phone calls, and it was important to get our sewer line cleared so that our tenants could use the toilet and drains. I spoke with Laura at Planet Plumbing and she quickly accommodated me and had two professional plumbers with their equipment at our rental units within 2 hours. They were able to clear the sewer line and tested the line twice before they left. Their price is very reasonable (half the price of the other plumbing company that never showed up) and their service is excellent!     I have used Planet Plumbing multiple times to clean out pipes that were clogged with roots (bad apple tree! bad!). Ultimately, I had to have my pipes replaced (cracked pipes were allowing the roots to continue to thwart my drainage). Mike Reed and his apprentice Justin did a fantastic job. They skillfully dug a huge hole, pulled out old pipes, replaced with a Texas T cleanup, and replumbed inside pipes that were too small (1.5 instead of 2). Mike is professional, skillful, clear in his communication, and just a good human being. I highly recommend Planet Plumbing and Mike Reed (and Mike Bastedo!! also fantastic)... these guys are terrific.

    Once again Planet Plumbing has saved the day. They clean my drain every year. This old house has clay pipes and every other plumber I called immediately told me it was +10K to replace the main line. They couldn’t or wouldn’t clear the main line. Then someone with an older house recommended Planet Plumbing. I have been using them ever since for several years. They always clean my drain and keep it root free. Other companies may offer a cheap clean and can probably manage new build with PVC pipes but they don’t seem to be able to handle complex jobs like PP.

    Dave was very helpful, professional, trustworthy and knowledgeable. In a panic, we called Planet Plumbing because of a water leak that started when we tried to replace our kitchen faucet. To our relief Dave was here promptly. He offered to put booties on before he came in our home and then was able to stop the leak and install the new faucet in about an hour. Originally, we thought we might have to replace the stop valve. But Dave was able to stop the leak and get the valve to work properly without replacing it, which would have been labor intensive and costly because of the where it is located under our sink.     Had a pipe burst late Monday night. Luckily found it before it soaked everything & shut off water main. Called Planet Plumbing in the morning based on really good reviews. Although we werent in an emergency situation we certainly wanted water back on in the house asap. PP sent Roy out and he was at our house in about an hour. He was professional & QUICK - just found the leak, made the area ready to remove the drywall necessary & repaired the pipe using a new sweat-soldered section. The damage was caused by prior installation of the copper riding up against a drain line galvanized strap. Roy moved the pipe off of the strap so this wouldnt happen again. For the call-out and time spent & felt the price was fair - especially given the quick show-time. Based on this experience I consider Planet Plumbing to be a no-nonsense quality outfit - I will definitely contact them in the future if I need plumbing service & recommend them to others in the Boulder area.

    Expert plumber, Beau, serviced a couple of our buildings units to install new ball shut-off valves so that they could replace a leaky shower valve. Since our condo building was built in 1982, every unit has the old-style gate valves for the units water shut-offs. When these fail, you cant completely cut off water to the unit, making other plumbing repairs difficult (like replace a shower valve!). We tried another plumbing service and their quotes was significantly large when compared to Planet Plumbings quote. Also, since there is only one shutoff for the entire building, that other company said it might take hours to drain the building and suggested we release the test values for the buildings backflow prevention valve to speed that up. But those need to be tuned for inspections and probably shouldnt be touched without the inspectors present. Planet Plumbing came up with a plan which drained our building in about 40 mins, after which they quickly did the valve replacement, so building shut-off was short! That was great! Once the new ball vales were installed, the unit with the bad shower valve was a quick fix. Thanks, Beau!!!

    Wesley arrived ahead of schedule. He knew what the problem was quickly and we approved him to go ahead and replace the garbage disposal. He did that in no time and was done. He answered all of our questions and before leaving asked if there was anything else. We ended up showing him a puzzle weve had since moving in- the hand held wand in the guest bathtub doesnt work and no one has been able to figure out why. Wesley took the piece apart and found metal shavings in there and once it was cleaned out, the wand now works fine. Amazing!

    Mike B came out to help us with a clogged sewer drain. I was looking for a second estimate to replace the sewer line. I was told by another plumber that it “needed” to be done and would cost $12,000. Mike scoped our drain cleaned it and told us is was in very good shape and that it didn’t “need” to be replaced just cleaned periodically. Thanks Mike for your honesty! How can a consumer know what “needs to be done” vs what benefits the plumber? Find some one you trust. Now I trust Mike at Planet Plumbing.

    They came out quickly, discussed the problem (a bad pressure regulator) and figured out why it went bad. We got the pressure regulator replaced and a pressure bladder added to our hot water heater all in just a few hours! We are very impressed with Planet!

    My water pressure was too high since the pressure reducing valve needed to be replaced. I used a different company initially but the plumber was very unprofessional and failed to actually fix the problem. My experience with Planet Plumbing was totally the opposite. He re-did the other persons work and fixed the issue in 1/4th of the time the other person spent working on it. I would definitely recommend Planet Plumbing.

    Chris from Planet Plumbing diagnosed my sprinkler system leak quickly and professionally and was able to fix it that same morning. More importantly, Precision Plumbing mis-diagnosed the problem the day previous and wanted to charge me almost $9000 to install a brand new main water line. Planet Plumbing fixed the problem for $400. Chris was knowledgable, professional and a pleasure to deal with. I can totally recommend using him and Planet Plumbing.

    Effective. Timely. Professional. Courteous.I believe it only took 4 hours from the time I called Planet Plumbing till the time my sink was FIXED. After a month of trying to coordinate my schedule with that of some plumbers who had been referred to me, I finally just used my google machine to find someone myself. Within minutes of leaving a message for Planet Plumbing I had a call back to confirm an appointment just two hours later...and then Aaron showed up about 15 minutes EARLY. Aaron spotted our issues quickly and had everything he needed to fix us up right there in his truck (he even helped my wife carry boxes to her car with each trip he made up and down our stairs). I only wish I called Planet Plumbing first.

    Wow. A friend referred me to Planet Plumbing a while back and last night I made the call to get an appointment to fix my toilet. I assumed that I was going to have to wait until next week, or even longer to get a time that would work for me, but to my very pleasant surprise Steve (the owner) told me someone could come today. Mike came early in the 2 hour service window (at about 10:15ish in the 10-12 window they gave me), which is a FIRST for me in a house service call of any kind. I had another plumber come out previously to clear my sewer line and couldnt and told me the line was likely broken and needed to be dug up and replaced.     Just had one of their guys Rick work on a variety of plumbing issues at my house and I couldn’t have imagined a better experience if I tried. I called around 3pm thinking someone would come the next day but the office said they could have someone come by in 20 minutes.     I typically dont write reviews but had such a good experience I felt obligated to. I attempted to install a new outdoor hose spigot myself and accidentally broke a copper water line in the basement. I was Labor Day and we had to shut off our water main -we were in a panic.     We had a very clogged bathtub drain in our 1957 piping, which included a lead p trap. David was able to snake and clear the clog but the old p trap sprung a leak in the process, as he had warned me might happen. David was very thorough, clear and competent in explaining what needed to be done to get PVC put in place of the old p trap and pop up. He was very patient, conversive and reassuring in listening to some concerns I had. All went smoothly and he cleaned things up after job completion as well. All in all, I was very satisfied with David personally and his work. Furthermore, I found the price to be fair.

    I have used this company since as long as I can remember. They take care of a rental of mine, and its always nice to know someone I trust will coordinate with my tenants and do the proper job. Last year, when I had a new washing machine installed I was notified the valve wasnt shutting off, so Planet fixed it and did a wonderful job, and very promptly as the washing machine was just sitting in the living room! Now, as the disposal went bad they were out there within hours of my call. On top of that, their tech called me while he was on site to explain the problem and how he recommended fixing it. Our HOA also uses them for repairs all around the complex. You can not go wrong with these guys! Another company I am thankful to have around!
