    Moved into an older house and needed to upgrade the electrical system to handle an L2 charger for my EV and add a few plug points. Contacted Mr Electric , easy to schedule appointment. Did get multiple reminder texts about appointment. Our service provider Mr. Elijah Jemison was on time, inspected our panels, made several very useful safety recommendations regarding the circuits, main panel breakers, panel surge protection, missing fire/CO alarm monitors in addition to the new plug points and EV charger. Presented prices which seemed reasonably standard for the work involved. Next day the gentleman was here bright and early, spent the entire day putting in the additional wiring running them through several floors behind the drywall, replacing the breakers, adding new breakers for the new wiring, adding surge protectors, EV charger, along with the fire/ CO monitors . He got everything done by evening and even had time to touch up the paint around the new sockets and clean up. Overall did a great and professional job for work that might have typically taken two days or more. We highly recommend Elijah for professional electrical work around the home and are also very happy with the customer service and standardized prices provided by Mr Electric for their services. The

    First I have to say that there is no minimal service call and a safety inspection is done at no charge, which I found very unusual. Most others will charge just for walking in the door. I called because I had an outlet and two fixtures not working (or so I thought). Thomas Kandziorski found the problem for the outlet. Id plugged in a power strip that had stopped working that Id never thought to check. As for the fixtures, it was the bulbs. Id tried new bulbs but, I just know that Conner somehow magically made them operable ☺️! So now onto the main panel. He found that some of the wiring needed to be redone because it could have become a fire hazard and he replaced two breaker switches. Let me just say that this is an older house, built in the 1920s. Thomas also gave me a quote to do the work prior to starting and explained everything in detail. He was polite and very efficient and took a lot of time to make sure I understood and was okay with the project beforehand.I would definitely recommend Thomas and Mr. Electric and plan to use them again in the future.

    We called Mr. Electric to help us with an issue in a customers home. They were able to come out, quote, and do the work all before the days end. It turned out to be faulty wiring that led to a necessary switch and outlet replacement. The technician had it done in 20-30 minutes. Thank you, Mr. Electric!

    We had a power surge and contacted Mr. Appliance (Electric) due to the Google reviews, along with the $25 off coupon. The customer service representative was very professional and scheduled a same day appointment for us. Stacey came out an hour later and diagnosed the issue within an hour or so. He also pointed out other issues that we were having including panel issues and was able to fix everything and update the panel issues all within our budget. Our laundry room light has been out for the past few years and he was able to look at it and fix the issue within five to ten minutes. We will definitely use this company again and will recommend them to our family and friends. We are all smiles now at this house. Football season, here we come…now that the family room television is working. 😂😂

    We had an issue at our main breaker box with one of the two main feeder lines. Only some of our lights in our home were working. The entire unit had to be replaced. A new main breaker box, weather head and down pipe was installed. Upon inspection, my electrical box inside also needed updating to separate the neutral and the ground so the line was replaced from the main breaker outside to the breaker box inside. This is where I’m not entirely happy with how it was installed. We all know the shortest distance between two points is a straight line which is exactly how it was installed. From the left corner of my home all the way across to the middle of the back of my basement. This line goes directly above my garage door rails so I am very concerned about future damage. I wish it would have been installed around the garage doors instead as it was previously.An additional ground rod was also installed outside to meet the two ground rod requirement for code. It was a good bit of work but now the lights are on and it was done quickly. Happy with the turn around.

    Our house was hit by lightning, we could smell something that smelled like wires burning, but we couldn’t find out where the smell was coming from. Early that Sat morning (5 days after the storm) my grandson said that he saw sparks in the basement ceiling. After about 15 min of staring at the ceiling we saw a spark. Before my son could get to the breaker box to cut the power to the house that spark turned into a flame. We called Mr Electric and within the hour there was an electrician there diagnosing our problem. We were quoted what I thought was a fair price for the repairs.(Especially for a Saturday morning.) I would definitely recommend Mr Electric Birmingham.

    9/12/2024Mr. Electric is always very helpful whenever I need assistance for electrical issues. I was able to reach an associate for easy scheduling as soon as I could be available to have my issue handled. An associate called when the service technician was enroute. Joey was very helpful with the issues I had with a light switch and fire alarm and answered all my questions. I appreciate the attention this company places on customer care and kind, reliable service. I highly recommend Mr Electric.November 2023I needed help with several electrical issues in my home. I sent an inquiry and Mr Electric responded the very next business day, corresponding as I was able through email during my workday. I was able to schedule an appointment that week. My inspector was right on time and addressed all my concerns and provided a full inspection of my home. While there was far more work that needed to be done than I had anticipated, each suggestion was clearly explained to me , referencing current building codes as appropriate and providing valuable information regarding safety standards and what to lookfor that could indicate problems. I was given a detailed estimate of recommended services and offered the opportunity to finance the repairs. Once the work I needed was decided upon and an agreement was reached, the technicians were there in no less than 45 minutes to get started. They also explained what they were doing as well as how I could perform routine checks, ensuring everything was working properly. It was a big job so it required another day of work. Mr Electric was very accommodating to my scheduling needs and continued to communicate with me during the interim between the first and second service days. Again, the technicians explained to me what they were doing and responded to all my questions throughout the second service day. They also went above and beyond with assisting me with other mechanical issues that came up along the way. They were very patient and kind. I never felt as if I was asking a “stupid” question.I truly feel that if I do have further questions along the way they will be open to them. It’s stressful whenever you are committing to a major purchase/investment for your home, especially when the nature of the service is electrical. The fact that everyone involved was so transparent, kind, punctual, helpful, and responsive to my needs made this far less stressful for me. I really appreciate the experience I had with Mr Electric. They were just the group I needed for this experience.

    We purchased a house that had been sitting empty for 2 years and in desperate need of remodeling. We had lots of contractors working on multiple projects and was given Mr. Electrics name by another service. Tyler and Manny came out and had lots of work to do. From rewiring plugs and light switches, adding canister lights and dimmers to our kitchen, installing a gas smoke vent and correcting some faulty wiring in our attic just to name a few. For two days they worked from 8:30 in the morning till about 5:30pm. We are very happy with how professional they both were and the job they did. I would highly recommend Mr. Electric for any electrical needs you might have. Manny and Tyler worked great together as a team.

    Justin was very professional, friendly and extremely thorough. He checked out the wiring, switches, and reset panel. He recommended service on any area he thought might present a problem in the future. What would need to be done and the cost.The cost for today’s service was reasonable.     Tony come out to install some can lights. I ask him to look around & check everything else out while he was here. He found my breaker box was hot to the touch. I had him replace it. I’m glad I did, it wasn’t far from causing a fire. I highly recommend requesting Tony Wills to do any of your electrical work. He is clean & neat. No mess to clean up.
