Scherr Contracting did a great job installing a new office in our house. They were extremely responsive throughout the project including the beginning of the project when they came out to our home to give us a quote. Zach and Gavin (owners) were easy to communicate with and flexible when my family was out of town for long weekends. The numerous teams that were part of the project (drywall installer, trim installer, painter, electrician, cleaner, etc.) were all respectful and cleaned up after themselves each day. We had a great experience working with Gavin Scherr and his team to renovate our townhouse. The price was good, and the work was top quality. This major job entailed a lot of different things, from installing hardwood floors and adding electrical outlets to painting, pointing, and replacing plumbing fixtures. Gavin was instrumental in advising about the scope of the work and helping to select and purchase products. He was responsive and responsible, and he took pride in doing excellent work. He made the process from start to finish easy and seemeless with superb results. We were so impressed with the quality of their work the first time when they installed new bathroom cabinets that we hired them again for several handyman jobs including hanging drapery panels. Edher, one of their employees is exceptional as they all were! When they say they will be on the job between 8 and 8:30 am, without exception they were always prompt. We would not hesitate to hire them again and recommend them wholeheartedly.

We have used Scherr Contracting twice. Once to construct two sets of bannisters for our steep backyard steps, and also to hang shutters on our home. They do fantastic work. Gavin is very responsive and reliable about scheduling the work. Forsio is a skilled carpenter. They do quality work, on time, on schedule, very professionally, proficiently and at a reasonable cost. We intend to use them again and again. We were so happy we found them. Can’t say enough good things about them and highly recommend!

In 2020, we chose Scherr Contracting as our partner for a whole-house remodel, updating a 1980s-era home we had recently purchased. Gavin and Zack Scherr are outstanding! They put our needs first and always went the extra mile to ensure we were satisfied with the quality of work being done. They covered all aspects of our project--demolition, drywall, plumbing, electric, flooring, wall-to-wall carpet, granite, tile, painting, and finish carpentry. The result of their work is nothing short of spectacular! We are very proud of our renovated home and felt at-home from the first night we stayed here. We enjoyed working with Scherr Contracting so much, we invited them back three weeks later to build an outdoor deck for us! You will not go wrong with Scherr Contracting. Oh... they also offer handyman services to maintain your property after the big jobs are done. They really do think of everything.

For a variety of reasons, we have always been anxious about doing home renovations and now are kicking ourselves for now pulling the trigger sooner. Scherr Contracting did a fantastic job rebuilding our front porch and modifying the current design so that it would be load bearing to support a sagging bay window. They put together architectural diagrams, pulled the permits, worked with the inspector, and got the job completed on the established timeline. Frankly the whole process was significantly smoother than I expected and I look forward to working with them in the future.

Just wanted to say that Ive worked with several contractors in the past and Ive been really impressed by the Scherr brothers. They just completed a bathroom repair at my home (replacement of a second floor rusted tub that was leaking into the first floor ceiling) and I found them to be professional, polite, responsive, and dependable throughout the whole process. They even worked with me to figure out ways to make the cost fit my budget, and their prices were significantly more reasonable than many of the other estimates I got. Highly recommend!

Hired Scherr Contracting for my kitchen and powder room remodeling. The project took place in January & every time I am in those spaces I smile. This was the 1st renovation project Ive been a part of. As a beginner I had MANY questions. The team took the time to answer my questions & each craftsman that came through shared their expertise with me as I peppered them with what is that?, can you explain this?, and so on. Additional things I learned working with Scherr: this industry starts early and on time - they are prompt! Be fluid because as other jobs shift, professionals can get rerouted to your project & things may get done even faster (yeah!). Point out any concerns - they can solution anything. I thoroughly appreciate each of the professionals that made my project a success!

The guys from Scherr did a great job taking care of a poorly installed sliding door in our home. They replaced some rotting wood, reset the door, shimmed the doorframe back up to level and added waterproof flashing on the outside. They showed up when expected and did a fast, thorough job.

We worked primarily with Zach during the whole process and we could not be more thrilled with the final results. Everything was seamless, from quote to final product. We had new counter tops installed and what a difference it has made. Zach responded to calls/emails/text within 24 hours (usually within an hour or so). I cant imagine using anyone else, ever again, for home projects besides Scherr Contracting.

Zack and Gavin worked with us throughout the entire process from designing the new room layouts to helping chose flooring / lighting. They helped troubleshoot things as they came up (as they always do when opening walls and ripping up flooring in older houses).Will definitely be using them again in the future.
