HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! This is the second time over three years that we have needed the help of Power to the People. On both occassions Andrew has been ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!! Today Andrew came over to fix a problem in our water heater after Hurricane Helene. Turns out it just needed his magic touch after I tried two times and troubleshooted with the manufacturer. This guy is as kind and helpful as they come and I cant tell you what a difference it makes to know you are in good hands. He is extremely knowledgeable about heating and air conditioning systems and all things electrical. So grateful that he was recommended to me. P.S. Two plus weeks after the hurricane, I called them yesterday and they were out today and on time! I couldnt ask for anything more. Thank you Andrew!

I have been a very happy customer for the last 5 years, with work including small jobs (lighting repairs, range hood install, outlet swaps) and large (separating 80A feed from house to workshop, setting up new dedicated 200A service). Today, they just finished installation of a Generac 24kw generator for outage protection at my home (after significant rounds of troubleshooting some issues). Hands down the best electrical contractor Ive worked with before, cant imagine hiring anyone else. Punctual, reasonably priced, helpful, professional, and friendly are how Id describe Andrew and his crew. You wont go wrong hiring them.

Estimate and pricing was very competitive compared to others we received locally and we are glad we went with them. From calling to schedule the estimate with Andrew to setting the date for the work to be done, to them showing up when they said they would, we have no complaints! In a word: wow! After being blown off by another electrician and receiving a few other quotes that werent to our preference (a couple were a lot more, a couple were a bit less), we selected Power to the People to do about a weeks worth of electrical work at our home. The pricing was fair, the scheduling was reasonable, the work was excellent, and all the people were super professional, polite, kind, and energetic. These folks care about their customers and about their work product. Id hire them again and again - and wont bother getting quotes from anyone else when we need more work in the future. PTTP provided a great experience from start to finish. When I called a very friendly REAL PERSON answered the phone and we scheduled something within the week. It was a tiny job— 3 outdoor outlets weren’t working but apparently no job is too small. The owner came and was early so he could potentially fix the issue right on the spot. Which he did! We enjoyed chatting with the owner and the cost was completely reasonable. Would definitely recommend and will use again for sure.

Power to the people did some extensive electrical work for me last year. They were wonderful. They did an excellent job at a very reasonable cost (which made it possible for me to have the work done). I asked them to check for anything that might be of concern...which they did and discussed future needs. I am meeting with them again on 4/17/2023 to assess replacement of the rest of the old knob and tube wiring in my 1928 home. They are my go to electrical company now. The only thing I regret is that I didnt leave a review sooner than now.

Reached out for a quote to run a new line to install a hot tub. The owner came out within a week to provide a reasonable quote and the crew was able to complete the job within two weeks of the quote. The line actually was run a week before the hot tub was delivered and the owner returned hours after the tub was delivered to hook it up for us so it could be used same day. About to use them again for another job.

Andrew is Awesome. We have been using his company Power to the people for years. He is responsive and reasonably priced. We recently had an issue with an outdoor switch on our deck. Andrew came right over and was able to fix it fairly quickly. You won’t find a better election in Asheville- we have used others in the past but won’t anymore as Andrew is by far the most knowledgeable, honest and the best! He has installed light switches , fixtures and done a lot of troubleshooting at our older home- all quickly and professionally!He’s personable and very honest, he really cares about doing a job right!

I had a great experience with Power to the People! We have had issues with our new gas range and wanted to have an electrician come in and check out our set up, not knowing if it was our new range or electrical set up giving us problems. We had a past electrician give us issues and he was impossible to reach many times. With P2P, I got a quick response after submitting an email and we had Andrew come in within a few days. He checked out our electrical set up and made sure everything was set up correctly. He finished up and we found out it was our new range that was giving us issues. The fast, quality work Andrew provided was fantastic and I definitely recommend him for any electrical job someone may have. I know I’ll be calling him again for any future job.

That was the only way you could tell they had been there….left not a trace for me to have to deal with! I recently bought an almost hundred year old house that needed a good bit of work. One of those things was a full rewire of the house. Power to the People was a joy to work with. Good communication and excellent work. They put in a new panel on a different location, rewired the whole house, put in wired smoke & and CO2 detectors, and put in a few additional lights, outlets, switches I asked for. I would highly recommend them for any electrical job big or small.

Andrew was right on time for the assessment, he gave me a quote that day, we set up a time for him to come and do the work, he came on time again and ready to go! I had a bunch of sockets that didnt work, he got them up and running-- they all required different things, you know, old houses! He also set up my flat screen to go on the wall and installed it where I wanted it. He was polite, professional, covid-respectful, and got the job done efficiently. Power to the People quickly identified the problem and was able to fix it quickly. He also noted that the external power line needed to be updated. I live in an older home that lacks amenities of newer homes. Andrew came and installed a fan/light in my bathroom, updated some outlets, installed a fan in my living room, and replaced old kitchen lighting with can lights. He even threw in a couple of things for free, which I am aware comes right out of his pocket so I was grateful for that. He and his assistant were mindful of all my things (they came with a lot of equipment and my house is small) and left without a footprint.

Needed to have a water heater and pipes replaced. The new water heater needed to be relocated and in the process the plumber came across what appeared to be a hot wire. I asked about an electrician and Andrew was recommended. A call near the end of the work day and he was on his way to check the hot wire which luckily was nothing. But he did need to do some rewiring to connect my new water heater.Very professional and pleasant. Took me totally by surprise that he would show up on a moments notice. Thank you so much. They showed up earlier than our original appointment time (after asking if that was okay. And it totally was.) Im holding onto their card now and referring anyone who needs a reliable and reasonable electrician in their life.

I will never again go anywhere else for electrical work. Power to the People did 2 jobs for me recently. The first to upgrade the electrical service to the house and the second was a major rewiring of almost the entire house, replacing old knob and tube in my 1920s craftsman, as well as numerous other improvements. This would normally have been a very stressful project for me, but they made it easy and stress-free.Replacing wiring is inherently invasive but they made every effort to minimize cutting into the walls wherever they could. They checked in with me at the beginning and end of every day to go over what was coming next and make sure I was ok with their plans. They presented options for any tricky situations. I overheard the lead electrician regularly communicating to those he was working with regarding how to do everything properly and making sure they understood my preferences.I spent the first couple of days regularly checking on things to make sure it was all going well but I became so confident in the quality of their work that I stopped worrying and was able to focus on my day job while they took care of the electrical.Also they were exceptionally nice to my cats!

I bought a house a month ago and the bedroom had dark carpet, wood paneling walls and only one light fixture. Andrew came over and installed 6 LED can lights and it made a HUGE difference! The room was so dark before and now it’s super bright. Andrew works efficiently and the job was done right the first time. He even had high spirits while crawling through the tight attic access I have 😬. I am happy with the results and will be calling Andrew for any future electrical projects.
