I have had several wonderful experiences with David. My first experience with him was diagnosing and fixing a dangerous electrical issue in my house. I was very impressed with the quality of work he provided, so I hired him to perform several upgrades to my home, including a complicated ham radio setup involving an elaborate grounding system. On each occasion David has gone above and beyond my expectations and I have learned a lot from him.

David with Down Home Electric was a pleasure to work with from the moment he answered the phone. He loves what he does for a living, and it shows in everything from his demeanor to his knowledge and professionalism. We had a rather complicated electrical issue that required troubleshooting. David WOULD NOT quit until he solved the problem! I was amazed at his tenacity and thankful for his patience. Im pretty sure it would have taken 2 to 3 service calls by different folks before one finally solved the problem -the issue that David handily solved in only one call, one day. Now, considering the level of care and time he put into our job most would assume he charged a fortune. Oh, he could have but instead, his bill only helped solidify my respect for his honesty and integrity. It was a pleasure to discover theres still folks like him out there. My wife and I would overwhelmingly recommend him. In fact, we already have and will continue to do so! Thanks David!

I could not be happier with the electrical work that David provided. I interviewed 4 companies, two were large companies, 2 small. Since I worked in residential real estate for 15 years I’ve had many associations with electricians. I learned a lot and knew what questions to ask when I interviewed them for my job. Intuitively, I felt like David would do the best job. My garage would be turned into an apartment, it was rough with no drywall or ceilings in place when David arrived. He had the best vision of where to put the lighting in each room, what lights to use and the best placement for switches. I loved that he did the work instead of employees from a big company. His cost estimate on the front end was the most detailed and he stuck to his price throughout the entirety of the project. He was careful not to smudge walls, he cleaned up and paid attention to quite a lot of detail. When I got my city inspection “final” approval David was present. After Duke/Progress brought in power to the meter David came by the same day to test that everything was working properly. You just can’t find this kind of quality work, service and dependability much anymore. With David you can!

David is great!! I had multiple projects for a mobile home rental and called over 4 electrical companies that were all booked out for weeks. David wiggled me in and came right in and started the job. He was on time and reasonably priced. A snow storm stopped us from continuing but David was right back on the job to finish up asap.He even let me ask questions about how to put a light fixture in myself (That was amazing) He was honest and up front about the entire project and represented great Coustmer service. Down Home Electric and David’s expertise and care are so appreciated! Highly recommend! Our meter boxes were ripped from our home by Helene and David quickly quoted, acquired materials, and replaced the boxes. He then followed up when power was restored in our neighborhood to test things out and contacted Duke on our behalf to report an issue down the street that was still affecting a few homes in our neighborhood. Saved me from a full blown panic attack. Part of my house went out. Space heaters. Every time. Anyhoo, I called Duke, they said we were fine, Called Mr Electric, they couldnt get anyone out. Mr Electric gave me Down homes Number and got a hold of David. He suggested I go back to the weird wiggly switch one more time, And flip it. Power came back on. Now, if I have any real problems, I will keep their number in mind. He was super sweet and professional.

I noticed a crackling sound coming from an exterior wall in my rental home, and had to reset the breaker for the room several times, before noticing smoke coming from the wall. My land lord had David from Down Home Electric out to diagnose the issue. He quickly got to work locating the issue with a wire that was found to be partially broken behind the wall. A plan was made to rewire the broken wire and the repair was made, restoring power to my living room. David was friendly and knowledgeable, and cleaned up after himself after having to open the wall. Would definitely suggest Down Home Electric
