We’ve had Peter come out twice. He put a refrigerator water line, fixed a toilet issue, and a shower issue, as well as an issue with the dish washer. Burr Oak has an answering service so you can always reach someone and he responds promptly. We were able to get service quickly both times and the pricing was extremely reasonable. Pete was great. I called him on a Saturday about a leaky outside spiket. It was leaking into my basement and we have horses also. I had no choice but to shut off water. Then had to go to neighbors to borrow water trough. Pete called me back about 90 minutes later and was all over thst repair. Put in new spiket and a shut off valve on the line so next time I can just kill the water only to the spiket and not the whole house. Pete was done quickly only cut open a minimal whole in the sheet rock and the hole was perfectly square instead of triangular or some weird shape in the wall. Nice work Pete,your the dude.

Not only was service exemplary, but he saved money in marital counseling!Burr Oak Plumbing is definitely not in it for the money! He diagnosed my problem over the phone and gave me sound advice that saved me stress and money. Think telehealth but for my kitchen sink.I thought I fixed my leaking kitchen faucet by replacing the valve cartridge. There was no leak but now the water pressure was low.I called Burr Oak first thing on Sat morning at 6:30 when his web site posted open hours, and he answered right away. I think I woke him up.He knew exactly what the problem was. Without seeing, he predicted I had a pull-out spray head. He told me that my spray head was clogged and I had in fact already fixed the leak. I just needed to soak the spray assembly head in vinegar to remove the particles clogging the spray. And he didnt even charge me money, just asked for this nice review in exchange.As far as marital counseling, I could go back to my wife, who thought I messed up the sink even further, and show definitively and confirmed by the authority that I DID fix the dripping after all! LOL!... yeah, she was only happy once I finished the vinegar treatment and the faucet was back together.TMI?Nevertheless, thank you Burr Oak!

I found Peter when doing an online search for plumbers and boy, am I glad I did so! The first time I called him was because of a leaking toilet and he made a point to be at our home the very next day! Over the last few years, he has helped us out for all our plumbing needs.Peter is not only a very professional plumber, but he is very personable as well. Had an issue with our outside water spigot. A ball park phone quote prior to actually seeing the issue had an almost $200 spread in the best and worst case scenarios. It turned out to be an easy fix and the repair cost was within $5 of Burr Oak’s lowest cost estimate. The owner was very helpful from the time he started messaging me from the Yelp inquiry to being on time and very quickly assessing and repairing our outside spigot. We expected the worst and most likely would not have questioned a higher repair cost, but the owner showed us the issue, how he would fix it and how to easily avoid the issue going forward. Very good experience from a company that was totally new to us. Burr Oak certainly lived up to their 5 star Yelp and Google reviews.

It’s a Sunday and the pilot light on my water heater went out. I couldn’t get it started again so I sent a message to Burr Oak Plumbing. Within 5 minutes Peter got back to me. He was very honest in saying he had a big job on Monday and couldn’t come to look at the unit until Tuesday, In the past I’ve had other companies tell me they would come only to get a call that day saying something came up and they couldn’t make it. I really appreciated Peter’s honesty. He came promptly on Tuesday and fixed the pilot starter. My unit is from 2006 and he could easily have told me I needed a new water heater, but he didn’t. Peter explained to me what the issue was, fixed it and I can’t complain about the price. I am a very satisfied customer and will be using Burr Oakes Plumbing for all my future plumbing needs.

So I never know what to get my significant other as a gift because he is the type of guy that has everything. I wanted to surprise my boyfriend with a very special/ unique gift for his birthday. I found Burr Oak Pluming online and Pete helped me find a new toilet that would work with our extremely awkward and small bathroom. He came and installed the toilet and a fancy bidet while my boyfriend was at work. When my boyfriend got home his new throne was done and waiting to surprise him!Pete has since done other work at my parent’s house with a camera in their septic system that was acting up and replaced a leaking spigot outside.All of the work he has done has been very reasonably priced, always professional and he has always been super communicative. Contacted Burr Oak to solve an issue with the toilet on the first occasion and Pete diagnosed the problem over the phone to make sure he would have the right part. I called Peter Poli of Burr Oak Plumbing 3/11/24 to see if he could help me with a terrible odor problem and my toilet and shower gurgling and splashing. He asked me a few diagnostic questions over the phone and voila! Diagnosis was the power went out on my lift station (next to the septic), so effluent from the house had no place to go and had been building up for weeks! Found out the GFCI had tripped so I replaced with a non-GFCI outlet which I had had for 30+ years with no problem... until I recently replaced the pump and had re-configured the outlet with a GFCI. Problem solved over the phone... no more odor, no more gurgling and splashing. Thanks, Pete!

I had two plumbing emergencies in the same week, and Pete was really great both times!! First, my sub pump wasnt draining properly, so I called Pete at Burr Oak Plumbing, and he walked me through a couple of quick fix options. When those didnt work, he gave me an estimate right over the phone so Id know exactly what to expect, and he made it to my house about an hour later. Its such a relief to find somebody who is reliable and fast when youre in that situation, so I was very thankful. He replaced the sub pump and the tubing that appeared to be leaking, and left the place clean. I then noticed that my hot water heaters were leaking, so I asked him to replace them. I was happy with every step of the process - he gave me a very fair price, he thoroughly explained all my options, and he was able to replace the heaters very quickly. He also did a great job at helping me feel less panicked and more knowledgable about how things work and what to expect, and again he left the area very clean. I feel like Pete is a very trustworthy and nice guy, and I will absolutely use him for all my plumbing needs in the future!! Thanks Pete!!

Though I havent yet had to actually hire Peter for any work to be done in my home, I had a very positive experience with him that I believe warrants a review.I had been dealing with a minor leak coming from my kitchen faucet since moving into our new home a few weeks ago. I called Peter (on a recommendation from a friend who has used him), and he ended up spending over 20 minutes on the phone with me walking me thru some possible fixes. As it turns out, a simple replacement of the aerator (which was less than $10 and 2 minutes of work) seems to have resolved the issue. Rather than coming out and charging me a service fee (as I believe MOST plumbers would do), he actually took the time on the phone to speak with me, and ultimately saved me both time and money.The next time I am in need of a plumber, I will definitely be reaching out to Peter and Burr Oak Plumbing, as he has earned my business.

We recently were looking for a plumber as this last winter was the finale on our frost free hose bibs, (it wasn’t a bad seal, pipe had budged from over tightening to try and shut off), additionally, we had a pipe in the basement that was leaking at a double elbow joint, about a coffee pot of water a month, (based on the coffee pot we put underneath it to collect the water). All of this and we just brought home our newborn baby, so we were worried about not having water in the house while trying to get these things repaired. Lets just say we were looking for a great plumber, one that gave us confidence he could get the job done right at an affordable price. Peter was up front about his pricing, he gave us a quick and competitive quote over email, but wanted to take a look to confirm, and when he came out to look, said his quote was accurate. He was very informative about what he was working on and where he was at with he project, so as to not impact the baby’s feeding and water needs. Additionally his scheduling in the evening and early on the weekend was very much appreciated. I highly recommend Burr Oak Plumbing. Pete was quick, responsive, insightful and just awesome. My wife and I are planting some fruit trees and we needed to know the layout of our septic field. Pete actually told me I could get the information for free, from a FOIA request, where other places didnt even bother to tell me about that. I wasnt able to do it myself, as I was flying out of the state for a several day business trip. He actually did the FOIA request for me and printed it out!Then the day after I got home, he visited and explained everything I needed to know, showed me the septic field, mapped out where we could plant our trees and where to even get the best light for them! He even took a peek at our tank and walk me through some basic troubleshooting tips, which was great for us being new septic owners.
