If you are up for the challenge, Advanced Training Center has an ingenious program. If you are from the trades and looking to get certified or an inspector looking for another certification these guys break it down to what it is, which is knowing where and how to find the answers in your code book. This is not a lecture based class or a note taking seminar. They give you the questions and the answers and where to find the answers in your book. Questions highlighted in yellow, answers in pink. Its easy.Instructors are available for questions and discussion at any time. I crushed my J1 IRC exam after spending 5 days at the center. Will definitely be going back in the spring for my B2 training. Thanks guys! -

Going to advance contractor and inspection training has been the most rewarding investment I have made for myself. Started 3 years ago with my reinforced concrete ICC and now I am a master of special inspection. Dont get discouraged if you fail a test, come back to school and try to study on material you felt you lacked on. They have great instructors who are very knowledgeable in all trades who are willing to help you in any way possible for you to succeed. This school has changed my life and hope it will for you too.- Damir C. -

I’m writing this review on my experience with Advanced Contractor and Inspector Training. I’m a Veteran and am using the VA Vocational Rehabilitation benefits. This school is a certified school by the VA and you are able to use your GI Bill, Post 9/11 and/or Voc Rehab benefits. When I first made contact with Tony Dottore, he explained to me how the whole program works and gave me a quick tour of the school and introduced me to one of the tutors that the school provides. We filled out all the paperwork and told me to have my VA counselor get in touch with him so I can begin attending. That’s when the problems started. Dealing with the VA is…stressful. I called and emailed Tony almost daily for an update. Tony kept reassuring me that he had dealt with the VA before and to be patient. He was very professional in every step of the way and continues to check in with me from time to time to see how my courses are coming along. But anyway, once the VA finally did their part, at least the paperwork portion, I began attending class. It took the VA a couple months to pay the school for the courses and for the books that I needed to complete the courses. Tony told me I could still attend class and take the blueprint reading portion of the course I was taking since I didn’t need the books for that portion. Again, I was beginning to lose my patience, but Tony told me to relax, the VA will eventually pay up and they could order my books. The VA paid for a few courses and my books and my journey to become and Inspector began. Having been out of school for a couple years, 20 to be exact, I was a little nervous and wondered if I was even capable of learning something completely new. I checked in with tutor and he explained to me how to be successful in the program. The tutors they have are very knowledgeable and eager to help. This course is designed to help you pass, as long as you put in the time and effort.I have been attending class every chance I get and can’t wait to complete all the courses I signed up for. I have met new people here, everywhere from 20+ years in the construction field to people like me with zero experience. This school is 100% Veteran friendly. Tony makes it a point to thank me for my service every time we chat at school. I definitely recommend this school, not just to Veterans, but to everyone that’s looking to get into the Contractor and/or Inspector field. Thank you to Tony and all the great staff at Advanced Contractor and Inspector Training. -

I’m reading some comments and I had to write my experience, yes you outline and study questions but all the information you need to become an inspector is given to you and anytime I had a question they were more than happy to help and extremely knowledgeable. I took steel bolting and welding and finished in 5 months while having a full time job. The classes are super flexible and you can work at your own pace. While I was there I saw several people come and go and maybe it just wasn’t for them but seeing these negative comments about too many questions and such just makes me think the people writing this were just lazy or something. They have three tutors which were super cool dudes and were nothing but helpful the entire time I was there. I would encourage anyone thinking of becoming an inspector to at least go check it out themselves and not just take some bitter persons experience to heart because mine was completely different. I highly recommend this facility and course. Oh and the camera guy comment news flash theres cameras in every single building you enter now a days it’s called security lol -

Electrical Inspection tests have been my nemesis. This course helps me to get the tools and information to get an electrical certification that I needed. Wes and Dana were a wealth of knowledge, and i look forward to the next training I have with them. -

Best school you can go to. Im personally in a big jam for a cert. Im dropping everything amd driving down there to learn. Why?. Because I need to be successful and this school has not let me down EVER. I have over 5 certs from them currently and Im so glad I have the ability to go back and get more. If you pick another school then you are wasting your time and money. -

I took the Commercial Electrical Inspector Course. After 3 months (weekends only) I navigated through the code 100% more efficiently. The hundreds of course questions were very broad in range and also detailed, which heightened my since of the key words. The highlighting concept is a great attention getter. The level of cover to cover exposure to the code I received was a great help for me when I took the exam. I finished the exam well before the time was up which allowed me to do a good review of my answers. The staff was very helpful, courteous, and professional. GOOD LUCK -

I would like thank Tony and company for the opportunity in studying and training for my ICC certifications. While attending my class sessions their instructors are top notch in their fields. There were times while studying my bolting lessons I would always ask questions. If I am stuck on a curtain bolting lessons. They take the time to show you and explain what you dont understand. They are there to help you succeed in passing your exams. I took my bolting exams and passed both my S1C and S1P bolting. I highly recommend anyone who wants to succeed in becoming a bolting inspector to take Advance Inspector Training Center. I am still continuing to take my next courses and succeeding in passing my exams. Thank you again Tony and company in training me and preparing for my exams. -
