    I highly suggest you call up Johnā€™s rooter and plumbing when you need a pro to save the day. I was really impressed with their service. Although it took a while to figure out the actual layout of pipes and drains around and outside of my home that was built in the 50ā€™s. I was happy to schedule the same day and have it fixed the same day. Great service all the way!

    When I suspected I needed professional help for my main drain (roots), the whole process to find a professional service stressed me the most. Knowing that this work was going to be expensive, at least I wanted to have a job well done from a company you can trust. I am SO SATISFIED with the work John and his crew from Rooter Drain Expert did on my house that I do recommend them WITHOUT HESITATION. These guys are true professionals in every aspect. They know their job well and they performed it just as described. John explained every step taken, I could see they use good quality materials, they finish the job within the time frame promised; even after something not planned came up, they finish on time (staying one day up to 10 pm). The equipment they use is impressive, it helped to have the job done without interrupting our water or drain lines in three days (we only cut these services for about 3 to 4 hrs.). The pictures show it was not a small job; yet, they did not disrupt our home during all this time. I am more than satisfied with John but also thankful. I feel very confident the job was well done and I wonā€™t have issues with it in the future. I can say now I do have a plumber.Thank you John and his crew.

    5 stars is not enough!We needed a bid for an eventual sewer replacement. John and his team came highly recommended by our regular plumber. (Our regular plumber had recommended this repair in 2014 and we had failed to act on that recommendation.)While running the camera John was happy to explain what I was seeing on the video, and how the sensor worked. He encouraged my questions and spoke knowledgeably about potential challenges.Turned out the whole thing was a challenge. My sewer was still about 95% terracotta pipes that were installed in the 1920s, and Im on a fairly steep hill. Additionally, John informed me that over his 22 years of doing this he had only seen 2 houses with a sewer in this state of disrepair----and mine just knocked the other one out of first place. My bid quickly became a critical issue. I realize this sounds like a cliche set up for a con so I am posting photos of the pipes as they were.The project was a big one and we knew it was going to be a financial investment. John was transparent about the cost and we actually found his price to be competitive with what neighbors had paid.When I was at home John would call me out to check out the video or inspect pieces of broken pipe and would explain what the next steps were.They finished the project in the anticipated time frame, CLEANED UP EVERYTHING, and did a beautiful job replacing the concrete that had to be removed.One of Johns team members, Manny, was super patient with my 7 year old while she supervised.Honestly, I could not have been happier with the whole process. The whole team is kind, communicative, and conscientious.John is a small business owner and I am pleased to support him.(My only suggestion for change would be the company name. While it is descriptive and accurate, it is really hard to find them using a Google search.)

Checked it with the camera twice to make sure it was running and to show me where it needed patching. Gave me an estimate for power jetting the roots and for replacing the line.     I called Johns Rooter & Plumbing Service to address my landscape drainage being clogged by tree roots. John and his son arrived at the scheduled time. He assessed the drainage issue using a camera. I have multiple drain areas in my front and back yard. He went through them all to see what the problem was. This was more thorough than others who I had consulted. He also discussed with me the options that could correct the problem. He did not feel that there was an immediate need for something drastic and expensive to be done since the drains did work but slowly. We also discussed multiple options. Initially, he told me there would be a fee for videoing the drains, but because he did not have to do a lot of videoing to determine the problem and possible solutions, he did not charge me for the service. He is extremely honest and was the only person I spoke to about the problem who gave me several options to address the drainage.

    What an amazing service! I honestly dont write a lot of reviews, but when a contractor provides a service above and beyond what your highest expectations were, then I think they deserve an acknowledgment. I originally hired John to hydro-jet my drains. He offered a competitively priced service but worked harder than I expected to make my drains perfect. He even threw in a few free services that others charged for. He did a great job. But was even more impressive was when I needed a drain installed. John worked with me to have installed in the best possible location, gave me choices on which drain I wanted, finished the job on time, and much better than I expected. Hes a real pro and I will use him on my next plumbing / drain project for sure! Thank you John!

We called him when our toilets and showers began backing up and they came quickly (same weekend day), got us going again for the moment, and offered several different options for long-term projected issues.     If you are having a plumbing/sewer problem, please do not hesitate to call this company- you will not regret it!We used another company when our septic backed up. They came and fixed the problem, then 2 weeks later when it happened again?! They came out to diagnose it, and then kept giving us the run around, rescheduling our appointments. Sorry ā€œEarlā€™sā€ we are a family of SIX and need to use water without it backing up in our showers!!So as luck would have it, I called Johnā€™s and he came out the very same day. The job ended up being way bigger of an issue, but he took the time to educate us and keep us informed every step of the way. He said his goal was to repair it, so we didnā€™t need him again. He was more than fair with the pricing, and even showed such kindness to my dad- who kept a watchful eye on everything. Heā€™s retired, and had tons of questions.     John was great, on time, and professional. John scoped my mainline sewage pipe with a camera and mapped out all the blockages from roots invading the main line. He was very thorough and explained exactly what he was doing and I got to watch the camera screen live as he was hydro rooting my main line. Highly recommend John and his company.     John and his guys are professionals at this work. Even though we had done the quote back in October 2019, he still honored the quote for June 2020! Overall, he and his team delivered on their timeliness and work. Since I like to review any work during stages of completion, John was very willing to walk me through each phase and have documentation taken. Since we had to temporarily dismantle a drainage pipe, we also discovered additional roots and provided remedy for that section. Overall, I have peace of mind especially with discussed warranty!

    I had Juan inspect my (2)shower drains because they had a bad sewage smell. I really didnā€™t think much about it, Iā€™ve only lived in my new home for about two weeks but itā€™s only gotten worse. Juan provided next day service with a very thorough inspection, he was extremely knowledgeable and very professional. He explained what was wrong and what the process of fixing is. During his inspection he used high tech equipment, such as a drain cam and a tool to locate the piping, this was very helpful and gave me a clearer picture of what was going on.     Working with John Rodriguez, owner/operator of Rooter Drain Expert, was one of my better experiences dealing with a contractor to date. My husband and I had purchased a new (to us) home in Altadena earlier this year. The beautiful, Spanish style house was built in 1925 and we knew there was some work to be done before we moved in. After getting a couple estimates, we chose Rooter Drain Expert to replace all of our sewer drain pipes for these reasons: John and his assistant Juan were very thorough, checking and visually scoping all lines under the house, down the side of the house and down to the street. When we told John that our laundry room was actually at the back of the property, in the detached garage, he went and checked that out as well. He discovered that both the washer and utility sink emptied into an old cesspool. This was a shock to us; not disclosed at time of sale.Thats another whole issue. The point is, John Rodriguez is extremely knowledgeable in his field, a problem solver, uses some of the most advanced technology for trenchless pipe replacement, a very hard worker and one of the most reliable contractors I have ever worked with. While he is not the least expensive, he gave us the best possible quality and results, going above and beyond what we expected. He and his crew cleaned up after themselves so well, we hardly could tell they had been there. All the guys were friendly, courteous and helpful. He was responsive to my many questions and kept me updated every day with texts and photos detailing progress on the job. And, it turned out to be a bigger job than we realized for several reasons: the age of the home, much deferred maintenance, many trees on the property, including three huge deodar pines, old cement and rocks. Now, thanks to the great job Rooter Drain Expert did replacing our sewer drain pipes, we can be confident that there wont be any drainage problems at our house for a very long time. First company wanted to dig up the front yard and replace piping for a cost of $1500, John came out later the same day, cleared the shower drain which was the only problem of the entire house, at the price agreed to before arrival.     I selected The Rooter Drain Expert based on the reviews. I called Thursday, and since this was not an emergency I scheduled an appointment the following Tuesday. Saturday morning John called to tell me he was in the area and could be here in an hour. I took him up on the offer and he arrived on time. He diagnosed it very quickly as a blockage in the line from the kitchen sink to the main drain. Within an hour he and Jonathan had the blockage cleared. When he removed the clean out cap, the threaded end of the steel pipe broke off due to years of rust. Without charge, he replaced the cap with a plug. They spared no time cleaning up and left the area looking as it did when he arrived. Finally, he gave me tips on what things should not be put down the drain.

    I had a great experience with Trenchless Specialist Rooter. My sewer line from my sidewalk to the street connection was clogged with tree roots.     My laundry drain was clogged and the liquid drain cleaners and my husbandā€™s snake werent making a bit of progress. I was tempted to call one of those ā€œdiscountā€ roto companies. Sure glad I didnā€™t! My drain was a little complicated and it wasnā€™t easy to get to the clog. In fact at first it kind of looked impossible! Iā€™m sure those discount companies would have really gouged me. Jose took his time, never got frustrated even though it was frustrating, and ultimately was able to clear the drain. He even cleaned up afterwards even though I told him he didnā€™t have to. Very pleased with his service and definitely recommend him!

    Im really impressed with this company. For starters, had to call several plumbers before I found one where the phone was answered by a human. The receptionist was very pleasant and said someone could be at my house within 45 minutes to an hour, which I wasnt expecting at all.Sergio arrived right on time and was super polite and knowledgeable. He gave a written estimate, fixed the problem quickly and left everything spotless. And the price was very fair.I would definitely recommend this company and will use them again for any future problems.

When I called rooter drain expert, the operator said they were too busy today, I told her I really needed it done today, so she found Sergio to come within the hour.He got the job done in about 20 minutes, and he is the first plumber to do it right. The price was fair, and he was very respectful.I will never call another plumber, Rooter drain Experts are my plumbers from now on:)

    I needed my drainage pipe cleared and Marco from The Rooter Drain Expert gave me a free quote. He also tested my pipes with his camera and found branches that clogged my pipe. He was very honest compared to the other quotes I got, who didnt even do a camera test and was going to charged me more than twice the amount. Great experience and very impressed.

    Needed my storm drain cleared after neglecting to do so for years.Tried tackling this myself with a buddyā€™s 50ft drain snake, but to no avail.Submitted an online quote to Rooter Drain Expert and received a call back same evening within 30 mins from John. John was out next day by noon to provide a free estimate, which was accomplished via use of a camera throughout the entire train system so I could see for myself exactly the problem.It was evident a standard snake would not do the trick.John used a combination of hydro-jetting, snaking, and a camera to clear, and confirm the drain was clear, from the road all the way to the back of my house.In summary, Johnā€™s work was incredibly thorough. He hydrojetted each section of the drain more than once and used a camera several times to confirm the lines were clear.This service was well worth the money paid for the ~2 hours John spent tackling the job. Not a chance I couldā€™ve done this myself with equipment available to the normal home owner.

    Having to call a plumber is the last thing you want to do, but when you call someone its nice to know that they will arrive promptly, take care of the problem and charge a reasonable rate. Sergio came quickly, a few hours before any other service could get there, and worked diligently to clear the main line clog which wasnt easy. More work is still needed but he was willing to work with me and figure out the right thing to do. They are coming back in the morning to finish the work and if my experience with them today carries on tomorrow, I would not hesitate to call and use them in the future. I will follow up with the final result....

    Weve been having sewer issues for a while. Our usual plumber kept telling us hed come but after three weeks of waiting we learned he had an injury. He never called us so I turned to The Rooter Drain Experts. Sergio was able to come out the same day and tried snaking our sewer line. The line was so filled with roots that he suggested hydro-jetting and re-lining. It was the end of the day so weve made an appointment for Monday morning. Im looking forward to having this issue finally resolved. Sergio seems like a knowledgable man and explained the situation in detail. We feel that he is an asset to this company and he spoke highly of where he works. We trust that he will do the right thing at the least amount of cost possible for us. I am unemployed so were just living off of my husbands income so we are careful with outgoing costs. We felt as though Sergio understands and will do what is best for us in the long run. We are excited to have a clear sewer and to be rid of this problem and believe that we will once the work is done. Ill write after Monday is over to inform everyone of how the job went.     My bathtub was starting to fill up with water every time anyone took a shower, then the toilet started overflowing. So I went to Home Depot and rented a 100 snake to try and clear the drain myself. The snake went down pretty easy and came back clean...hmmm. Maybe just a piece of toilet paper that I cleared? OK, the toilet flushes just fine now. The next days shower proved that I had not fixed the problem. I found The Rooter Drain Expert on Google and had them come out for an estimate. Nick and George showed up and told me what they were going to do; first run a longer snake then run the camera down to check the path. Since my clean out was inside the house the snake didnt really have enough oomph after all the turns it had to make so it was decided to put a clean out outside and try again. Bummer, how much? When the clean out was installed Nick then again ran the camera down we discovered many roots. After about an hour of hydro-jetting, the lines cleared and we then found the pipe had broken a part (nothing but dirt) and had cracks almost throughout the line. I saw it with my own eyes. Double Bummer. (My house was built in 1949 so not really a surprise). This turned into my nightmare job from hell. What were they going to gouge me for as I pretty much had no other choice at this point(unless I wanted no shower and toilet while waiting on other plumbers to come out and access). The supervisor Brandon showed up while all this was going on and started the pitch(oh boy here we go). BUT, I felt like he was feeling my situation as well as trying to make a deal. Its a tough read when dealing with car salesmen, but I felt comfortable in what he had to say. I listened to his advise and solution and it seemed a good direction to go. In the end I feel he gave me the best deal he could and thats all anyone in my situation can ask for, plus I now have a 15 year warranty on the new drain pipe. We went ahead and replaced the sewer line with the trench-less system. All the guys, Nick, George and Juan worked extremely hard way into the night to finish the job(they left at 11pm after starting the job around 11am). The bid was the bid and no other fees were tacked on. The job went smooth and the best part of the whole thing(objectively) was the fact that they cleaned up their mess as if they were never there. That to me showed pride in their work and total professionalism. I would have no hesitations using The Rooter Drain Expert services again, great company

    These guys are the real deal. They know exactly what they are doing. Very efficent, proffesional and quick. I needed 65 feet of sewer pipe replaced and i have a cement driveway. I got so many quotes but they beat all prices. They use a trenchless technology that blew me away. Very friendly guys. They did it all in one day. Pulled permits and it was all included.     This trenchless rooter service was recommended to me by a friend to address some VERY old clay pipes below my home. They provided an excellent solution to what could have become a very costly problem. They replaced my historic (and not up to code) sewer line with minimal digging as well as repaired existing cracks and root damage under the house.     I was very impressed by The Rooter Drain Experts. They were professional and explained in detail what needed to be done. Manny and Adan were very helpful and gave different options to fix the drain. Their camera equipment proved the need to do major drain repair. I could see the broken clay pipes, I viewed the drain all the way to the middle of the street. They explained in detail different methods, different prices but ultimately it was my decision. The options were I could fix the drain temporarily until the roots grew back again, fix the pipe only where the holes were, or replace with new type of pipes. Weve done over $7,000 business with them.Re: Repair of Metlund Demand Hot Water System installed 23 Mar 1912I would like to commend Manny of your firm for trouble-shooting and repair of our system installed by your firm last year at a cost of $1232 for parts and labor.Recently we became unable to activate the system via the pushbutton or the wireless remote fob, (which we seldom used.) Replacing the dead battery in the wireless remote fixed that aspect. Manny and his helpers extended and rerouted the wiring under the sink so that materials that usually occupy the space will be less likely to stress or break the connections to the pump: the wiring was too short to begin with.Manny had to leave before we could fully test the pushbutton because we had to wait for the hot water line to cool. Several attempts after he left were unsuccessful, until I bypassed the pushbutton by shorting across its leads: that worked. Therefore, the PUSHBUTTON WAS DEFECTIVE -- we should have checked it for continuity earlier. I replaced it today and activating the Metlund is now normal from either the pushbutton or remote.While here, Manny also performed some extensive checking on the rest of our sewage system with his video equipment. This greatly helps in understanding the system, particularly in areas of potential problems.

    After having several plumbers come out to my house and couldnā€™t find the root cause of the reoccurring clogs in my main sewer line, and after being told different things by different plumbers, I stumbled upon Johnā€™s rooter on Google. John came out and was able to diagnose the issue right away, using his snake camera, he found that the sewer line was broken and needed to be replaced. He gave honest information and knew the issue and said my house sewage pipe were the infamous orangeburg ā€œcardboardā€ pipes when the house was built in 1956. After digging up my yard he showed me exactly where the break in the line was and every step he did to replace it. He also saved my palm trees by rerouting the new line away from the tree roots so that the palm trees donā€™t affect the new line. He and his sons installed that new modern sewer line within a day and a half and didnā€™t disrupt our water usage because they fixed it really fast and even did a temporary connection overnight before finishing the next morning. When John first explained the issue I was a little hesitant as had a distrust working with a couple previous plumbers but after working with him I understood John is a really honest and knowledgeable man of his trade. Thankful he came out and resolved our issue for good. He also gave a 5 year warranty and told us we shouldnā€™t have issues for years to come. He even inspected the rest of my house pipes and determined everything else was in good condition. I will definitely recommend him to people for his honesty and expertise.

    Rooter Drain Expert is the best in the business!!! I tried Rooter Rooter and other companies that claim they specialized in plumbing but nothing compared to the results John and his company gave us! Im so happy that my neighbor referred me to Rooter Drain Expert! I had an emergency on a Saturday at 8pm and was forced to call a plumber from the back pages only to find out that they couldnt fix or even identify the problem. Once my neighbor told me about John and Rooter Drain Expert I knew I was in good hands. John was extremely flexible with my schedule and shared his knowledge and experience with My wife and I. He quickly helped identify the issue and helped my family find a resolution. John and his team were honest and extremely diligent to fix my problem. My main sewer line burst and the team was able to identify and fix the problem within two days! This company puts the customer first and over delivers on all promises! I recommend him for any and all your plumbing needs! Definitely deservant of a 10 star rating!

    Rosie was attentive and scheduled my appointment expeditiously. John and his crew were thorough and professional. They repaired my main line (under warranty-at no cost to me) with great care and skill, showing me the extent of debris and leaving me with video proof that the line had been properly repaired. Grateful for the level of service I received.

    These guys fixed my outdoor drainage thatā€™s causing some flooding on the side of my house. John (owner) was very precise and honest about the job. They did a very good job and fixed my flooding issue. I would gladly reccomend them.

    We knew we were going to have to repair our root-filled sewer pipes at some point. We just didnt know it would be the week before Thanksgiving! We read the amazing reviews for John and The Rooter Drain Expert, and we called him. He patiently explained everything, showed us the camera footage and his top-quality materials and equipment, and gave us all the options. We felt so comfortable with him that we didnt feel the need to get another estimate. Were very pleased with the work that was done!

    Just had Sergio come out and the service, explanation & work was fabulous! We will absolutely use this company again, and will ask for Sergio by name. I wont bore or gross you out with the details of the mainline sewer backup that was happening, but he fixed it, explained what the first plumber from some different company did wrong a few months ago & explained what we could do as a short term fix and a long term fix. I really feel like I was treated respectfully and have a thorough understanding of the issue. Highly recommend!

    The is my second time having a big job done by this company. This time, Adan, came immediately and video taped the entire sewage system under our house to show me the problems. He then did an excellent job of replacing the damaged pipes. His work was superb, everything was left clean and in perfect working order. I highly recommend this company

    Hi, i recently had a wonderful experience with John and his team. i had an ongoing problem with the main line leading out of my home to the city line; root intrusion that had infiltrated pipes. situation was getting worse. i had 3 bids but RDE was far more thorough and took the time to map out my lines and investigate the routing of city lines. the other companies were far less thorough and had recommended work that turned out, wasnt needed. it was a 4 day job and the team was always on time, friendly and very professional. john also keep me in the loop, showing me the progress and assessment along the way. highly recommend!

    I just had my main sewer line replaced with the trenchless system by The Rooter Drain Expert. The man in charge was Manny, and I have to say he and his crew were great. they showed up on time did everything they said they would do and left my property clean.I would highly recommended these guys to anyone as they were very professional and knowledgeable.Thank You Manny and crew!

    Great expience! My drains now work again. John was able to run a camera in my sewer to show me the problem, he came up with a plan to replace my line without breaking my driveway! His trenchless system is the best way to go. If you have sewer problems call The Rooter Drain Expert Iā€™m confident you wonā€™t regret it.

    We had a clogging problem in both our restrooms and my fiance had called a previous plumber (who had done a clean out of roots 2 years before ) to come and do the work but before he could mention to him the reason for the urgent call , the guy told him call me tomorrow its Sunday. Deleted that number.So Googled Drain cleaning and came across The Rooter Drain Expert.Glad we called them, Marcos was the plummer who came and saved the day. He took the time to explain the problem and what would work and suggested Hydro Jetting ; with all the roots he cleared out no wonder we had that most annoying problem. My fiance was very impressed with the work and the great customer service he received from Marco. Will recommend The Rooter Drain Expert to family and friends for sure! Thank you Marco !

    Ive been dreading the expense of putting thousands of dollars under the ground to fix our sewage pipe. It gave us a nasty fountain event a few months back and the quote we got to fix it was not happy reading.I decided to get a a couple of quotes besides what our emergency plumber had given us. I had been told we needed a trenchless pipe installed so I looked for an expert and came across The Rooter Drain Expert company. They came out the next day for a quote and told me that actually I didnt really need the trenchless pipe installed. Instead we needed to change a piece of the pipe in the front drive way and get an additional sewage overflow.. a couple of hours later they had a team at my house and got to work.The guy who gave me the quote was very detailed. The team that did the work did a great job! Also, the wonderful person on the phone was seriously on top of her team!

    I have never worked with a contractor in my life that was so professional. Johns communicaiton was unparalleled to anything else Ive ever experienced. He texted me with updates and pictures through out the whole process. He quoted me at a price and that was the exact amount rendered. I had about 50 feet of pipe that needed to be replaced and they did it in two days. I would hire or recommend these guys in a heart beat. I have nothing but the upmost respect for John and his team!

    I called The Rooter Drain Expert after noticing flooding under my crawl space in my home. Oh know I thought. This is going to be a nightmare especially on a hillside property. First off the person answering the phone was so nice and said someone will be there in 45 minutes. Sure enough they showed up on time. Marco showed up and was so professional. He visualized the line and noted tree roots. He explained the process and what was needed and at a reasonable rate. Not only did he perform everything he said but he kept me informed the entire way. I was actively involved and did not feel as if I was in the dark or being ripped off. Quite the oppisite. Also his vast knowledge of plumbing was very evident. Once he replaced that section of pipe and scoped the rest of the line he noted another obstruction and this was a bit worse as it was by the city line and covered by cement from the city. Brandon the company manager came out and looked at it and they tried hydrojetting but the pipe was broke. Brandon also was incredibly professional and explained all the details of the issue. He showed me the camera where the issue was and how to correct it. I thought this would be a lot of money and Brandon was kind to save me money by only perferming what was necessary and also not charging for things I did not need. I must say I was very nervous at the possible cost but they worked with me and set my mind at ease. The overall professionalism and quality of work from this company is superb. They worked effortlessly and as a team in making the repairs. I recommended them to another friend as well. If you are like me and not sure of what plumbing company to use and this has never happended before please do yourself a favor and call them. You will get an estimate and a great team of folks. Overall they really are high in quality of work and customer satisfaction. Excellent work!!!! Thanks guys!!!!!
