When our oil furnace faulted, we hurriedly researched companies who could address the issue. After identifying Leonard Splaine Co., I filled out their online contact form and was pleasantly surprised to be contacted within the hour. I was further delighted to learn a technician could come out the same day. When Mike Showalter arrived, the good experience continued. He was clearly knowledgeable and performed the repairs exceptionally thoroughly. The price was fair, but best of all, we had things working again in less than 4 hours from our initial contact. Five stars for quality, price, and customer service!

This company is incredible. Every employee I spoke with so kind and genuine. The mechanic that came was very personable and educational about the issue with my HVAC unit, fixed it efficiently, and explained how to manage it going forward. Highly recommend this company. I had a great experience with this company. I liked that I was able to book an appointment online. They called me within 30 minutes to confirm my appointment and go over my needs. The tech was out same day. He was very clean, polite, and knowledgeable. He diagnosed and repaired my furnace within 30 minutes and explained in plain terms the issue that I was having and how to avoid it in the future. Payment was quick and easy, I found this company to be more affordable than the competition after calling five other companies. Im grateful for the quick response, affordable treatment, and the professionalism of this team. I will certainly use them again in the future.

Our thermostat gave an error message. They showed up the same day, spent over an hour diagnosing the problem (including calling another tech for help), explained the possibilities and said they would come back next week for a follow-up call to see if they could nail down the diagnosis. The tech said we would probably need a new heat pump but said we could just use emergency heat until the spring. No pressure to make the repairs and no hard sell for a new system. Total cost was $89.

Leonard Splaine has serviced my family home for nearly 70 years. The quality of work and knowledge of their technicians is unmatched. I purchased a new boiler and central air conditioning system over the last few years, and am very happy with both. Unfortunately, there have been several issues and miscommunications with customer service since 2021. I suppose this can be expected due to their small business factor, but it has been disappointing lately.

My AC was running constantly but not cooling down the condo. Michael Ford, Leonard Splaine Company, Inc., came to service the unit. He was polite, professional and kept me updated on what he was doing/checking. He found I was low on Freon and had a leak in the small coil that has to be ordered/replaced.Well the coil was going to be expo and was going to take 6-8 weeks to arrive. My units are old so decided to replace them. Brad Hockenberry took time to explain everything to me and provided three different options/prices in his quote. He followed up to let me know when the units arrived and would be installed.Jose Saniro came today to install the A/C (outside) and air handler (inside). He was pleasant to work with, did an excellent job, explained how my new unit worked and cleaned up. He and his team were very professional.Everyone I have encountered during this has been wonderful, responsive and respectful. A truly professional team!

Greetings,First of all, I would rate the service technician Mr. Rudy Escudero, 10/10 or 5/5 based on whichever chosen rating criteria used for excellent job performance, he arrived on time and provided a thorough analysis of the system failure.Furthermore, I spoke with Rudy several times yesterday via phone, he then proceeded to explain the situation and the process for resolving the problem.Concurrently, he explained the cost associated for the issue resolution, the benefits and cost of having a Leonard Splaine maintenance service agreement with twice a year HVAC maintenance.Upon service completion, the technician sent the payment invoice with before and after pictures for my record keeping, which is an outstanding company feature, Kudos.Lastly, I spoke with the resident this morning and he stated, the house is now cooling and the issue has been resolved.Respectfully, a satisfied customer.

I found Leonard Splaine on the internet and loved that it was a local company with wonderful reviews. I couldn’t agree more, Rudy was wonderful. I made the appointment online and he even arrived earlier when I told the nice customer service that I was home and the time frame was great but they could come earlier. He was very professional and explained everything to me. This is my first home and I have never had experience with a HVAC system expect for changing the filters every 2 months. I unfortunately have a leak and the most sensible next step is to replace the unit. He told me about the difference in products and let me decide. I didn’t get the financing that would work for me. Leonard Splaine recently replaced our HVAC system during the recent extremely hot weather we have been having. The replacement was completed within 5 days of their diagnosis of the problem. This kind of prompt service is unheard of these days. We did have to suffer through 5 days of temperatures exceeding 85 degrees in the house but that is nothing compared to how long other companies may have taken due to demand and lack of personnel during this hot weather. They also provided us with an indoor portable a/c unit which kept our bedroom cool enough to be able to sleep comfortably at night. This company keeps their promises and responds quickly. I would recommend them to anyone needing HVAC service.

Michael Ford was quick to diagnose why my Honeywell WiFi Color Touchscreen Model RTH9580WF01 went dark and the air conditioning stopped working. It started with the Honeywell app messaging me that the thermostat was no longer communicating with the internet. After much troubleshooting and a few calls to Honeywell, this wasn’t a thermostat problem, but the result of a safety feature of the Intercoast ductless a/c unit in my attic. No amount of trying to reconnect the thermostat would have solved the problem.It required an expert HVAC tech to troubleshoot it. Michael explained the problem to me (not that I’d ever be able to fix it myself) and resolved it.I’m grateful for the recommendation of Leonard. Splaine Co. which a neighbor shared on NextDoor, and recommend Michael as a kind, polite, and competent technician who took the time to assist me. It’s comforting to know a trustworthy, affordable source of assistance—especially in the middle of a heat wave—if ever I encounter another HVAC problem.

The new gas furnace and integrated humidifier work perfectly. They wired everything correctly to my new smart thermometer (ecobee) which involved three new wires due to the added humidifier and dual-level furnace. I could not be more pleased with the whole process.

A/C systems are a very important part of your home. So when it came time for me to replace it I did my research and shopped round. Eventually I went with Leonard - Splaine. After receiving my quote from Ted , I set a date to have the system installed. Brad and Rudy were the installers and they did a fantastic job. It was done right, done perfect and they went out of their way to make sure that I would be happy, for a long time, with the system. One example...the area where my system was installed outside of the house was not set up very well when the home was built. They install crew noticed this, and fixed the problem when they could have left it as it was...but they didnt. Why? Because they are professionals. They also were sticklers about details...wiring, ducts, etc...it was all done very well.If you need your A/C replaced call Leonard - Splaine. Just FYI...they did my heater 3 years ago and did a great job on that as well.

Based on a referral, I purchased brand new A/C and heating unit from Leonard Splaine. Less than a year later, I had some problems with the A/C. Renters reported no cold air on Thursday. Luckily, a tech was in the area and came out same day. Says a coil is broken and resulted in leaking Freon. Orders part and fills Freon. Tells my renters that it will stay cool until part arrives. Two days later (when office is closed) renters report no A\C again at around 10pm on Saturday. I call the 24 answering service and tech comes out following morning (Sunday).Monday morning I spoke to the manager/owner. He was able to get my unit replaced through warranty and personally went out to speak to my renters.At first, I was really worried about everything, but the manager/owner Ted put my concerns at ease and personally followed up to ensure my satisfaction. You don’t find customer service like this these days.Based on my experience and renewed confidence , I would highly recommend.

Ive only had Mike who has been excellent and timely. I prepaid for preventative maintenace and this year the experience has been terrible. Ive had 2 separate appoints canceled the AM of due to other client emergencies. I undesrstand that there are situations where clients need urgent help but prepaid customers should not have to be kicked down the road. Ive had to take 2 1/2 days off to wait for LS (you have to be there to give them access to AC inside). Now Im taking a third and hope they dont call the same day againt to cancel. Customers (especially those that have prepaid) should be treated better than this. It really shouldnt take 12 hours of paid leave to get someone to take care of your needs. Reviewing my options on canceling and calling others (i.e. FH Furr, Cropp Metcalfe).

We used Leonard Splaine for our outside Mitsubishi unit, which wasn’t working. We’d been waiting on our normal hvac repair people for weeks for a part they said they’d ordered. Ultimately, their customer service and seeming lack of clarity of what might actually be wrong was frustrating enough that we called Leonard Splaine at the recommendation of Mitsubishi’s own website. Brad came out and fixed the unit day one. He came back two days later to make sure it was still holding pressure and then finished what needed to be done. He was able to do (and explain) what had taken this other company weeks and for a way better price to boot. We were being gauged by the other company. Turns out the other company had been bought by a large multi-state company a year before and has gone downhill since. We were so GRATEFUL to find Leonard Splaine and will be using them from now on.

During the current heat wave, our AC condenser died. We were customers for almost 20 years with a different HVAC contractor, and they completely failed us in our emergency, literally telling us there was nothing they could do, and that we should have a nice weekend-- hard to do when its over 90 degrees inside your home. Friends of ours recommended Leonard Splaine; we called them and explained our emergency. We werent even customers yet, and they offered to bring portable AC units to our home-- something the other company didnt even offer. We asked if there was any way a salesman could speak with us even though it was a Sunday; the other companys salesman still has not called us back, which is now moot. Patrick came to our home and listened to our HOA requirements, and recommended a new system for us, which we purchased. Installation happened first thing Tuesday morning; Brad, Earnie, and Bill arrived on time, were very professional, and explained everything to us. They worked in 102 degree heat to ensure the new system was up and running properly so we could return to our home. Patrick, Brad, Earnie, and Bill all deserve the highest praise. Leonard Splaine has earned new loyal customers!

We have had Mike S. come out two times to service our furnace issues and both times they were resolved on the spot. He explains things in a way that you can understand without making you feel dumb. They have fair prices and there customer service has always been polite and prompt. When our very old furnace finally does go we will definitely use Leonard Splaine and request Mike again.

Highly recommended for all your HVAC needs. We moved into our new home and the furnace and air conditioner needed to be replaced. The company came out very quickly and provided us with all the details we need to select the right system. Our air conditioning in our old house blew out during an unexpected summer swelter in September, and our house was upwards of 90 degrees with a small infant at home. After finding Leonard Splaine online, we contacted them and they sent a technician early the next morning. Unfortunately, our existing unit had far exceeded its lifespan and a replacement was required, but Leonard Splaine was extraordinary in finding the perfect unit for our house, which was installed immediately. Both the unit and the display are aesthetically pleasing, and the unit is so quiet! Just fantastic customer service, which cant be said of any of these larger organizations.

Installed a heat pump. I thought the crew was very good. Hobier I am sure I misspelled hisi name was very professional to talk to and I was impressed how he worked with his coworkers. My only negative is that I wish they would have cleaned up better by the outdoor unit and by the truck. I only give 4 stars because of the clean up issues.

Very pleased with Leonard Splaine. We did our homework and got estimates from a few companies. One reason I chose Leonard Splaine is because they have been in business locally since 1957. They did not try to upsell and they installed a known HVAC system (Trane). Installers Brad (30 years in the HVAC business) and Ernie were hard working, knowledgeable, respectful. The job was done efficiently and with expertise. We highly recommend Leonard Splaine and will tell our neighbors and local friends

It’s unfortunate we live in a time where calling a contractor to fix or replace an item in your home is so dreaded. Costs are high and frankly as homeowners we tend to have more bad experiences with contractors than good. Our HVAC system was reaching the 20 year mark, leaking water, and not reaching desired temps so we went on the quest to get it replaced. Luckily we looked on the Nextdoor app to see if our neighbors had written reviews, and wow where we taken back with the amount of positive feedback on Leonard Splaine. It was a no brainer at that point to give them a call. From the moment they showed up to give us a quote, until the time they left a few days later after install, they were respectful to our home, polite, knowledgeable, and competitive. If I could give them more stars I would. Thank you Leonard Splaine for setting the bar and being the example of what other HVAC companies should strive to be.

I had them replace my old AC unit. From working with the sales rep to find the best unit to meet my needs and house to having the technicians install the new unit and exchanger, the are all highly qualified professionals. They did a great job. They took the time needed to do the job right instead of quickly (e.g., making sure to pump every bit of with air out of the refrigerant line so that the AC runs as efficiently as possible, which takes a good deal of time). Also was pleased with the overall cost of the AC unit (a higher-end Trane) and labor.
