I had an existing solar system and battery back up from another company that folded after everyone’s system failed due to a tech update that rendered integral parts useless that no one wanted to deal with. I was replacing and upgrading my roof and needed the system removed and reinstalled on a new standing seam metal roof. StormGrade Roofing recommended Pamlico Solar for the job. They offered repair and reinstall services to customers in need. That is a very hard to find service in the solar industry. They stepped up and did the removal and reinstall like total professionals and i was back to fully operational in a very timely fashion. I cannot say enough good things about this company and crew. The lead installer Robert was amazing. He explained everything i needed to know. The best part is a have a working system and a new company on record to call in the future should I need service. Peace of mind is priceless. Thank you to all at Pamlico Solar for one of the best contractor experiences I’ve ever had!

Let me start by saying Nicholas and his team did an excellent job of adding 2 Tesla Powerwall 3s into my existing solar setup.Not only did his team do a great job, they were also able to intergrade the Powerwall 3s and a Tesla charger into my SPAN electrical panel which they also offer for installation.I highly recommend Pamlico Solar for solar and also just general electrical services.

Pamlico Solar installed solar panels and a Tesla Power Wall on our home. They did a great job. The salesman gave a good explanation of the system and expectations, they made sure that we had good sun exposure and designed the location of the solar panels appropriately. After we agreed to install the company handled the design, the ordering, the detailed design and information to obtain Duke Energy approval, and even provided the necessary information to obtain our HOA approval. The installation crew explained in detail how the panels would be mounted on the roof and the various electrical connections necessary for the operation. The installation took place over two days and then we had solar power. The necessary approvals from Duke including Pairing went through with no problems. Now we are using the Tesla app to maximize the benefits of the system. I should add that the questions that I asked Pamlico during the process either by text of email were promptly answered. We are happy that we chose Pamlico.

Pamlico Solar made it so easy from start to finish. Miguel and Aaron explained everything throughout the build process, making it easy for my wife and I to understand. Robert and the guys that did the install were super professional, worked hard the entire time, and answered any questions I had, no matter what they were doing. Even after I told them I would clean up so they could get on the road, since it was almost 6pm when they left, they refused to leave until everything was exactly like it was when they got here.100% recommend Pamlico Solar for your solar needs. Pamlico Solar just finished our 14KWH solar install in the Waterford in Leland NC. We went with a Tesla Powerwall 3 and REC panels. The permitting went flawlessly with BEMC and the Town of Leland. Pamlico was onsite earlier than expected. The crew was super courteous and Rob who managed the install kept us informed the whole way thru. In the end he demonstrated the unit and helped us get our Tesla App setup. Alley was our Project Manager and she kept us informed all the way thru the process as well. Pamlico Solar installed a system which makes our home independent of the grid. We are concerned about a potential attack on the US grid due to international tensions, and the potential for terrorism due to the flood of unvetted migrants into the country. The system that Nic and his professional team designed is working perfectly and has enabled us to join with Duke Energy in their Power Pair program which sends surplus energy from our system back to the grid. We receive compensation from Duke which helps defray the cost of the system. We recommend Pamlico Solar without hesitation.

Aaron, Nick, Robert and the rest of the Pamlico team were very professional and were very helpful. Robert and his team showed up promptly and were completely done by 3:00 PM, BEMC let us down and didnt show up to restore power until 6:30, and left without ensuring we had power. I called Aaron, and he called Robert, but by then I had figured out what the issue was. BEMC had thrown the service disconnect switch in the solar system panel. I highly recommend Pamlico Solar, but cant say the same for Brunswick Electric.

I am so thankful for the professionalism and responsiveness of Pamlico solar. I had an underperforming PV system installed at my farm in Early Branch, SC. The original contractor who installed the system, was out of business. I made numerous attempts with different solar companies to resolve the problem but could find no one who was competent to sort out the existing problems or interested in taking a repair and upgrading job.Pamlico Solar took on the project, drove 4 hours to assess the problems, made the corrections on the spot, and maximized the existing system in one day. I wish I knew about them when I first installed this system, and I will assuredly use them in the future, when I install solar on my other properties. I highly recommend Pamlico Solar for repairs to existing solar panel systems. We had a roof leak that we thought was from a solar panel attachment installed at least 15 years ago and called many roofers and solar panel companies. Pamlico Solar responded quickly and setup an appt for two weeks later. The CEO Nick came on a Friday, removed about 8 panels & attachments, and sealed all the flashing (some had misdrilled holes with evidence of leakage showing inside). But unfortunately we still had a leak over the weekend, so he came back Monday and found that it was coming from a ventilation duct nearby. Wanting to eliminate our leak, he sent a team back on Tuesday to replace the duct (in a very tight area in the attic), reseal the vent to the roof, and inspect & seal all the other panel attachment areas, some of which had evidence of leaking. Before replacing the solar panels, they fixed some damaged wiring and reset popped circuit breakers, which will help restore the systems generating capability and give us more credit on our power bill.Nick and his team responded quickly, have the experience to diagnose problems, and stuck around until the job was done right.

I cannot say enough about the crew that was here to install my system. Actually, from our initial meeting to even talk about it to the final install, this was a very good experience both from an educational and economic standpoint. We had a large residential job, 53 panels total, plus a Tesla Powerwall 3. They guys got here at 7am, and pushed through a very warm day until the job was completed by dusk. Never had an issue. They were very friendly and took time to make sure we knew what they were doing every step of the way.Today, after only a week, we received our PTO from Duke Energy. We are so thrilled because now, we can rely more on Mother Nature for bringing us power. If there is a power outage, we know our lights will still be on. If there is a hurricane, we know we dont have to rush to make sure the generator works. That is a good thing!ALSO...With the rise in electricity prices, I know that MY bill wont go up! That puts more money in MY pocket, and I will never argue about that.Also, we are happy that we made an investment in our property, one that will build equity should we ever decide to sell and get another house. I have a Xantrex Inverter Solar system that was installed in 2011 before lithium batteries and it was set up to work with lead acid batteries. I purchased a set of 4 lithium batteries and no one could figure out how to get this old system to work with the lithium batteries until Pamlico Solar came to my rescue! I didn’t have to buy any new updates for my system. They figured it out and it is putting out lots of power! The technicians that came were very polite and thorough and have even followed up checking to make sure everything is still going fine. They are the best!

From start to finish this was a good experience. Salesman was knowledgeable and made sure the quote was clear and transparent. Project manager took care of getting all permits necessary. Design done by engineer was custom for our location. Installation was seamless - they arrived as scheduled and completed the work ahead of schedule- and on a 30 degree and windy day! When done, Robert took the time to explain the system and connect us up to the app so we can monitor our solar production whenever we want. And Allie followed up after with a phone call to be sure we had all our questions answered. Cant find any fault anywhere!! Highly recommend this local company

I was looking for an electrician to hang some lights in my kitchen as my husband was unable to climb up on a ladder at the time. As someone getting up there in age I am a little hesitant in just hiring anyone these days and having them in my home. A dear friend of mine recommended Nic with Pamlico Solar as he is a licensed electrician and does electrical as well as Solar. Best decision I ever made. The office staff and Nic put my fears to rest and did an awesome job of hanging my lights. They were very courteous and professional. Pamlico Solar did a fantastic job with the installation of solar panels at our canal home in Surf City. Although we were not there during the installation, we did hear from our neighbor about what an incredibly great job they did. As part of my due diligence at the beginning of the project, I contacted Pamlico Solar and the other leading solar provider in the area. The difference in the information provided from the two was like night and day. Pamlico Solar provided me with extremely detailed written information about every aspect of the project. When I asked the other guys for something written, I was asked why would I want that. (?) That was all that I needed to know that Pamlico Solar would be our solar provider. Midway through the project I needed to add an EV charger and home integration system, and again Pamlico Solar didnt miss a beat and got it done perfectly. Great job, guys (that includes you, Alley)! Not a good experience so far. Lets hope things improve.I need to add at this point Pamlico Solar has been trying to work out problems that were not their fault. There efforts have resulted in an 80% solution to my problems. I am sure that in a little while I’ll be able to amend this recommendation and see that 100% of the problems have been solved. They are working hard and I’m looking forward to a positive solution to the other 20%.Yah!!! Alls well that ends well. I am now at 100%. Once the job was completed Robert automatically put me on the schedule to reinstall them.
