    Mr. Sparky is a great company to work with. They worked us in the first day I called. Daniel came and figured out the problem, gave us an estimate. The very next morning Joseph came, worked almost all day making repairs. They were both very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He was able to diagnose my GF outlet issues in a timely manner, making appropriate repairs.Due to the house being built in 1997, he provided surge protection safety upgrade advice for my panel.     We arrived home a little late for our appointment but Gavin from Mr Sparky was already engaged performing our annual inspection/maintenance. He was very detailed in his explanations of all found and included those items I need to follow-up on in an email. Although weve been happy with the performance of the unit (Briggs and Stratton Home Generator – Model 040587), it makes sense to contact the installers and have them review their gas feed installation.Thank you Gavin, hope to see you next year again.

    Daniel came out for an after hours call because my breaker box was off and identified that I actually needed the panel replaced. He was able to assist me with my options and even helped set my generator up. His professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond with helping me with my generator was way above and beyond what he had to do.

    Alex Shlor was my technician today He installed a new LED kitchen light unit. Alex was very professional and caring. Job was great and he gave me helpful hints on cleaning my kitchen because the lifht is so bright it shows everything!!! He is the right man for the job and comes from a fmily of electricians .

    After scanning Google reviews, I opted for Mister Sparky based on the praise for their technicians being personable, professional, and offering fair prices.Devin Howay, the assigned technician, truly embodied these qualities. He proved both personable and knowledgeable, efficiently replacing two breakers—having to purchase one from Lowes. Notably, he engaged us in a pleasant 30 to 45-minute conversation about our recent vacation to the Outer Banks.However, my main issue arises when considering the overall cost. With additional fees for after-hours service (as it was a Saturday) and the retail prices of the breakers ($80 per breaker), the total of cost per breaker was $236. I calculated labor costs at $156 per breaker or $316 for less that a hour strikes me as unreasonable.Regrettably, based on this experience, I am hesitant about engaging their services again in the future.Update: Following a discussion with Scott, the Manager, he successfully addressed my sole issue regarding the service provided. Consequently, I am awarding them a 4-star review as the remainder of the service call was commendable.

    Mr Sparky (Devin & Gavin) did an awesome job hanging my ridiculous light fixture (it’s really big and really gorgeous)! I’m so glad they had a 14’ tall ladder and were able to reach my high ceiling. Seriously, we had a hard time finding a contractor able to hang it and they truly saved the day! They were prompt, friendly and knew their stuff, thanks guys! I cannot wait to have a party to celebrate the installation of this 46” sputnik. Soooo happy!! 10 stars, Mr Sparky!

    We had a pleasure experience right from Nancy answering the call. We had a bad connection, however, that didn’t stop Nancy she persevered until we could hear each other. Then she sent Jordan Jacobs to the recuse.If you’re looking for someone nice, strong work ethic, and someone who will do a stellar job… Jordan Jacobs is your person. He not only came out after hours, he got here in record time. Fixed the problem very quickly. He also fixed an outlet that could have been a potential future problem.Jordon was extremely knowledgeable, professional, responsive, and effective.If we have any problems in the future we will definitely contact Mr. Sparky Electric.

    Mr Sparky sent out Jordan Jacobs to help me get set up properly so that I can add a portable generator into my main panel. Jordan walked me through everything including making sure my generator could handle the load. My main goal is to run AC, fridge and lights. Install was quick and easy. I don’t have an inverter generator and we were talking about surge spikes and sine waves, so I also had him install a whole house surge protector which will protect my high end electronics and minimize surge damage during storms or general power startups, etc. Overall I could not be happier.

    Seam Murray came into an unexpected situation at my house - which is a baby-boomer house near 80 yrs old, and has old electrical wiring in it. I was trying to replace a ceiling fan in my bedroom, and found there was no ground wire with the existing wiring. Not sure about how to go with the installation, I called Mr.Sparky, and they sent out Sean for what was expected to be a quick 1-hr job. Sean found the existing wiring was old and crumbling, with possible arc scorching that turned the white wiring to black. He got into my attic, replaced the old wiring and added two gang boxes that better secured the existing wiring for the bedroom, then installed the ceiling fan which I expected to do myself. Gave me advice on installing electrical arc-protection circuit breakers which I am now discussing with family. Sean was very friendly and engaging, and also arrived about 15 minutes ahead of the scheduled time beginning at 11 am, which is also rare these days for service technicians. But Sean was there at my house for more than 4 hrs working in the hot attic in the July heat. The fan was installed perfect and I am very satisfied - the only regret I have is, I forgot to use the $25 coupon in my phone book I found, when time came to pay for the service, haha. But I would certainly recommend Sean and Mister Sparky in the future!

    **4-19-2024 UPDATE**: Technicians Daniel, Lane, Joe and Gavin were so professional in taking care of a major job at our home. The installation of a new breaker box inside and replacing and upgrading the main electrical box outside of our home. Each member of the team was very thorough in explaining what and why our electrical needed to be upgraded. Everything took a couple of days to complete but knowing our home is much safer now having this done is a peace of mind that my husband and I welcome. From start to finish each technicians was knowledgeable of their duties and when a question arose they worked together determining how to solve any issues. THANK YOU Mister Sparky; job well done!!!Technician Todd remove our old kitchen fixture and did an excellent job installing our new fixture. He was focused, work completed in a timely manner. He cleaned the work area and hauled away all of old fixtures and florescent bulbs. Will definitely have Todd do any jobs for us in the future.😊😊

Unfortunately, the previous electrician that was suppose to show up at 2:30 pm was called back to his first job so Jordan was able to make it by 4:30 pm and quickly resolved our issue. I am not sure their claim of being the on time electrician is valid.

    Two technicians showed up on time to replace an electrical box outside that was damaged from oxidation. They sure know their stuff! Very friendly. Worked for five hours! And cleaned up like you never knew they were there. A new electrical box is not cheap, but I trusted that the price was worth it. Highly recommend this company!

    I would give 10 stars if it were an option. Our initial consult Jordan was professional , thorough and informative. We needed 24 hours to decide on our complex requests and he promptly called us the next day. They were here within 3 days. Garrett and the crew with him worked so hard for almost 10 hours on our extensive list. They were polite, professional, kind, and had a can-do attitude. They worked well around our busy household while we decorated for Christmas. When the job was complete, they cleaned up all areas nicely and put things back in place. It’s very hard to find good customer service, and great health these days, and I was very impressed. I will definitely be using them again. Highly recommend don’t waste your time searching around! 😀

    Having trouble with a breaker tripping. Alex was very professional and knowledgeable as well as very friendly. Alex checked the HVAC and notice a possible issue. However, after consulting with his supervisor they decided they were able to switch out the breaker which should eliminate the one breaker tripping. If this doesn’t work Alex gave me a print out on next steps. Having Alex part of your team is definitely an assist and I will continue using Mister Sparky for my electrical needs in the future.

    My husband was out of town and I had a potentially serious electrical problem. I called Mister Sparky and Daniel Trezza was sent on the call. He was very reassuring on the phone that he which put me at ease. Daniel was knowledgeable and very polite. Poor guy was at my house until 1 am to diagnose the problem. The issue was a bit more complicated so he made sure I did not have to worry about electrical hazards before he left. Came back at 10 am to continue working on it. Ultimately the root cause of the electrical damage and issue I had was emanating from Duke Energy’s line to my home. Daniel even stayed to help me converse with Duke Energy when they showed up. I would recommend Mr. Sparky and if you are lucky Daniel will show up at your door! Thank you Daniel!

    Daniel and Shiy from Wilmington North Carolina, Mr. Sparky were absolutely phenomenal. They were knowledgeable in their trade and passionate. They treated me like family. They spoke to me in terms I could understand not with a lot of electrical jargon. They explained the diagnosis, the fix, and upgrades to prevent this situation in the future. They alerted me to a problem with my main electrical line coming to the house which in turn caused Duke Energy to come out and investigate. They quickly replaced broken breakers and installed safety breakers on necessary mechanicals to avoid future issues. The cost was reasonable and appropriate for labor and materials.

    If I could give 6 stars, I would! These guys were excellent! They hung a monster chandelier in my foyer (which has 12+ foot ceilings). Jordan and Joshua rock.They arrived on time (and called 25 minutes ahead to let me know they were on the way), they were very polite and patient, they cleaned up their “mess” (even the ceiling with a magic eraser to get rid of finger smudges), wore booties on their shoes, and answered an unrelated ceiling fan question.Scheduling was easy and that guy (Chandler) was super nice, too. I called the day before and was able to get an afternoon appointment for the very next day.It was a little pricey but worth every penny.I will definitely call Mr. Sparky again.

    Yes I was having issues with my power bill sky rocketing through Dec and January. I made an appointment with Mr sparky to check out my home electrical to pinpoint where the issue was. I was charged $105 for diagnostics where Jordan who was patient and kind in listening to my concerns. He was very clear in his communication on what he had seen which was a 40 amp draw on my system due to my heating system. I at least had proof and direction to give the hvac person for my next visit to stop the outrageous electrical bills. I also had need of a warranty inverter for my solar to be swapped. He did not pretend to have experience in that particular work but did encourage me to contact cape fear solar. It was great advice ave he was very quick in his work and on time in his visit. He or the office both gave me a heads up on his arrival about 1,1/2 hr before the appointment time. I have no complaints with this business or their representative at this time.

He have me a quick estimate and worked with me to keep the scope of work within my budget.     Nicolas Medina was my electrician, i had him out back in September of 21 to quote a manual generator switch and possible home surge protection.He was prompt, courteous and took the time to understand what I was asking for, he gave me the information I was looking for and didnt push anything at the time.Fast forward to today we needed a new outlet in the garage and had them out to quote the work as well as the manual generator switch. they were able to complete the work on the spot for me. they kept me up to date with the project as it was happening.the work was done in a reasonable amount of time and they took the time to explain the set up. I asked if he could walk me through the whole process. Everything worked as intended. So far cannot complain. obviously will update if anything changes .

    Joe and Addison were on time and got right to business. They were professional and it was such an amazing experience. They were able to install our lighting in 3 rooms on the same day and cleaned up when they were finished. My family and I are over the moon about our new lighting and cannot thank them enough!     Daniel did a great job meeting my electrical needs while providing solutions to get exactly what I wanted. We added an additional panel, 4 outlets, a generator lockout breaker along with a 50 amp plug and cord for the generator. He was thorough in explaining what he was doing and if he change something, he made sure he explained the changes he made. He and his crew take pride in their work!
