    I am a repeat and will be a future customer. Everyone at Delcollo is amazing! Knowledgeable, helpful, professional, and friendly. Rates are good, and their work is exceptional. They put in additional outlets in an old house, and rebuilt an 80 year old kitchen exhaust fan, because the old housing was too small to fit a new factory made fan. So they built one!! They installed it, and it works beautifully !!! Darrell and Nick are fantastic! I highly recommend Delcollo!

    Our previous electricians were very nice, very competent but were terrible when it came to scheduling. Our former electrician promised to get back to us. Months later - NADA. So we reached out to Delcollo. Wow were we impressed. Matt showed up for an evaluation of the problem - on time as scheduled. He provided a reasonable estimate, arranged to have his team come out to handle our issue (install whole house surge suppressor) within 2 weeks. They kept us appraised of the visit via email and texts. They came on-time, and performed as stated. We highly recommend Delcollo.

    Ive used Delcollo for numerous electric related projects and have always been happy with the work out come and technicians. Our most recent project included the installation of two ceiling fans, two closet lights, updated outlets w/USB ports, and adding some new outlets. I was especially impressed with how the Tom and Jaime, the technicians made an extra effort find ways to prevent or minimize any damage during installation. They treated our home like their own. We were left with only one cut for a ceiling fan where there were no other options. Our painter was impressed with how little damage they caused and that they left the piece of sheetrock they had cut to make repairs easier. I am highly impressed with the quality of work and workmanship weve received from Delcollo and would recommend them without reservation.

    Called Delcollo today because of an electrical switch problem that left most of the living room without power. The dispatcher called a team finishing up another job and asked them to come by. (They were normally scheduling at least two weeks out.) An hour later Jack and Jerome showed up. Very friendly and efficient guys. In 20 minutes the problem was solved. Excellent service, excellent communications by dispatcher and techs. Ill call them again if the need arises. I urge you to call them too.

    The main service cable into my house from DPL’s service line, through my meter, and into my panel box was damaged. Water was also leaking into my panel box. I contacted 5 different electrical companies for estimates. I was given information from “it’s Delmarva Powers problem” (it wasn’t) to a sales pitch that lasted much longer than was necessary. Then I had Delcollo Electric come out. Jim inspected from Delmarva’s line to the panel box in my basement. He explained (quickly and concisely) what needed to be done with an option on the size of a new panel box. When I asked him about a few other terms mentioned to me in the previous guys “sales pitch” (like it was something I was getting as an “extra”), he shared that all those things were things that needed to be done according to code and were automatically included in the estimate. They weren’t “extras.” His estimate included contacting Delmarva Power, doing all work according to code, including new meter box and adding a disconnect switch, and arranging the licensing inspection. Payment after inspection.Delcollo was by far the lowest estimate. They are veteran-owned and operated. A few days later Darrell and his assistant came and did the work. They were professional, good communicators and did a neat job, cleaning up any debris. The electrical inspector came out and complimented the quality of the work.I definitely recommend Delcollo Electric!

    Joe and Steve just replaced the ceiling fixture in my kitchen. They did a great job and couldnt be nicer. Everyone in the company seems to be nice. They also answer the phones and schedule in a timely and convenient fashion.     Tom and Steve did an amazing job updating our (very dated) track lighting in a super large room. I know this feat could not have been easy but wow! Beautiful, LED lights with no scars on the ceiling from replacing the track. Amazing. They also did a great job replacing the can lights to LED. They arrived on time with a “can do” attitude and cleaned up everything as well. Matt has been great to work with too, helping us come up with solutions to working around a very old house’s lighting challenges. We highly recommend Delcollo for your electrical/lighting needs.     Delcollo electric is a best in class electrical contractor. And a credit to our community. My experience with them started on a Saturday night. My issue was not an emergency so I opted to fill out the provided request form. Their web page was crisp, informative and very easy to use. I submitted the request and to my surprise I received a reply two hours later from Dan Delcollo. His reply stated that I would be receiving a phone call from Mathew on Monday morning around 8:30AM. Mathew called Monday and was kind, courteous, and professional. He listened to my description of the issue and then asked, in a courteous manner, a few questions so he was confidant he understood how to proceed. He suggested he send Mark and Steve to the house on Tuesday to trouble shoot and correct the issue. It was exactly what I needed to hear and I felt immediately that I was in good hands. Mark and Steve arrived right on time. Again, They were kind, courteous, and professional. They had Mathews instructions on the issue. They explained their trouble shooting plan and again, I felt in good, professional hands. They went to work, accomplished every thing they set out to accomplish and even took the time to show me and explain to me what they were doing at every stage of their work. At my request I asked if they could, at a later date run a separate circuit for one of my appliances(a big job I thought). A few minutes later Mark came to me and said he had spoken to Mathew and got the go ahead to do that job also. That way they wouldnt charge me for another service call. Mark and Steves work was exceptional. They fixed the issue Explained what they had found that was causing it and what they did to fix it. They cleaned up afterwards and the area was as if they were never there. Because they had been at the house for so long and did so much work I was expecting a pretty hefty invoice. To my surprise and delight the invoice was half what I thought it would be. When I expressed my surprise their response was that Decollo charges a fair price, does quality work and tries to make every job a win-win for everyone. My experience with The Decollo group was a pleasure from start to finish.     Since moving to Wilmington, I have needed an electrician frequently (like monthly) to update my home built in the 70s. Delcolla is amazing! Their electricians are prompt, professional, and fix the root issue.     During an home inspection, I had a problem with both a breaker and a GFI trip (from two separate lines). I called Delcollo Electric and they were able to send someone out in less than two hours. They replaced the breaker along with an outdoor outlet to resolve the problem. They were very professional and able to make the repairs quick enough for me to get the inspector back out to pass the inspection. I will use them again if needed and would not hesitate to recommend them for any electrical repairs.

    I recently had Mike come out to my familys home to give me an estimate on rerouting a very large electrical wire that runs our A/C. He came out and was on time, very friendly, and professional. When he came out he was actually able to do the job right there and then (and I even had him do an additional wire). I DID NOT EXPECT THAT! FANTASTIC! I was thrilled and he completed the work quickly and even vacuumed up after he was done! Who does that! I have never seen any contractor or tradesman that cleans up after themselves!     Great experience; they’ve come through for me twice. First time, one of my breakers would randomly flip. I called another electrician and he said I was overloading the system. He didn’t believe me when I said the breaker would flip without me doing anything. I called Delcollo. They came out and also asked if I was blow drying my hair while running a space heater. And when I said no, they believed me, and figured out what was happening (the garage didn’t have its own breaker and when the fridge in there cycled on, the breaker would flip). The technicians were respectful, tidy, etc. Second time (couple years later), the breaker for my fridge went bad (sparks and sizzling 😳). I called and they asked if I was sure it was the breaker and not the fridge that was the problem. When I said yes, they believed me, and got a technician out that afternoon. He was in and out within minutes, and my fridge is back on! Def recommend.

    Had a double gang switch failure disabiling lighting on 3-season porch.Techs (a master electrician and an apprentice) arrived when expected, were dressed professionally, an immediately set to repairs.It turned out, that the problem was not specifically with the switch, the cable from the switch box to the porch light had been damaged by roadents over the years (home constructed in mid-1950s, wall containing the switch box and the box for the porch light was constructed with cinder block).The team worked the problem and replaced the damaged cable without having to open the wall.The work area was throughly cleaned before they left our home.We can only offer our highest recommendation for DelCollo Electric.

    We have used Delcollo Electric several times to install new lighting fixtures in our backyard, install complicated electrical switches, and adding new electrical wiring to mount a TV on a wall.     I have been using Delcollo Electric for all of my homes electrical jobs for 25 years. They always do good quality work and clean up when the job is complete. Pricing is fair and they often can come within a day or two. This month, they installed an attic fan in my homes new roof. They had installed the original attic fan 25 years ago. Over the years, they have installed outdoor lighting and motion detectors, indoor and outdoor GFCIs, repaired outlets and switches and installed new smoke and CO detectors.
