    They made it right!I was very disappointed (and upset) when the expensive custom order cabinets that I bought for my mother were initially delivered.We got an email on Wednesday night saying they were coming on Thursday, only to find out in the afternoon, after several calls and about an hour on the phone (finally with the manufacturer), they were still in Orlando, and would probably be delivered next week, after they call me to set up an appointment.The next day I get a call saying theyve been delivered (at the end of day on a Friday!), by an independent shipping service (AAA Cooper) and literally dumped in the parking lot of my mothers condo, with the usual afternoon impending downpour on the horizon!Huge, heavy, base cabinets (with slide-out drawers) were delivered by one old man with a dolly (as described by the doorman)! And left! In the parking lot! Leaving the doormen to scramble to get them in the building before they got soaked. Each base weighed over 250 lbs, and they could barely slide them into the trash room to spend the weekend!I called Home Depot and spoke to a manager named Steve, who was very patient and understanding of my predicament. He calmly explained how it was doubtful they could get anything resolved before Monday, (which I understood), but assured me it would be taken care of.After this fiasco, I was very guarded in my trust of how this would unfold, but decided to just wait for them to call with the next problem on Monday.8 a.m. Monday morning, I get a call from the delivery manager asking the details of where the cabinets are, and who to contact regarding building access, because they were on their way over, now! I couldnt believe it! He too was very pleasant to deal with, and told me they would make this right.9 a.m. I get a call from my 90 year old mother telling me the first cabinet was already delivered, and they even put it in place for her, as they walked in with the second one.They were very nice and helpful, and even refused her tip! I cant thank the team from this store enough for making this right! And, most especially for being so responsive and kind at the same time.This nightmare was corrected, instead of made worse, which is what weve come to expect from businesses in recent years. Bravo! Lets hope this is a trend in the right direction for customer service, again.Thank you, Home Depot!
