Your homeā€™s HVAC system will cost you more in the long run if it is not sized and installed properly.     After waiting for three days for the company that usually services our equipment to arrive, we contacted Kennihan because we had no air conditioning in 90+ degree weather. Kennihan was there first thing the next morning and had our air conditioner working in no time. They communicated frequently throughout the process and made us feel like a priority.     I was having issues with my heat pump on top of high electric bills. When the issue was identified it was suggested that if I thought I might be moving in the next year or so just deal with it and and if I was staying might want to think about replacement. So I ended up deciding to fix it for the issue and to help with electric bill,only time will with that but as far as the system its been great so far. The system I got was a daiken fit 17 seer inverter. Its so quiet compared to what it replaced and since It communicates with the outdoor portion it runs no more than it needs too and sometimes you cant even tell its running at all. I run it so it recycles the air to manage the Temps and the ac probably only kicks on once a day and usually in the evening when it can cool down faster. The only negative is that with kennihan you may be paying a little more than some other places but the cost given covers most things they may run into in a normal install and would probably take something major for a added cost. They are great to deal with on all fronts from the office to the guys that came to my house from the repair intitally on old system to measuring for new to the installers. They work fast and as pictures show its nice clean work and left my basement cleaner than it was than when they got here. Overall a good experience and would use them again.

    Kennihan is awesome! We had well water issues, they came out determined the problem and returned the next day and finished the job. Very professional. Left job site spotless. Great staff and best of all we have great water pressure! Definitely recommend them for your plumbing and heating needs.

    Service tech was great, as usual. Five stars.However, I had additional plumbing work at my house and needed a quote. The tech took photographs of the work area and described the scope of work to the person preparing the quote. I received the quote. A lazy rudimentary quotation. Zero information about the new devices to be installed. No price breakdown and no detailed description of each new part. The total price was ridiculous. Price gouging at its finest. I will never recommend this company for plumbing work.

    Called Kennihan HVAC for my annual furnace check. Rhyan was the service tech who arrived on time as scheduled. He introduced himself and explained the services he was going to perform on my two furnaces. I showed him the two units and he advised he would be back to me if there were any issues. About 2 hours later he shared that both units were operating correctly. He also made the adjustment I requested to increase the fan speed on my upper furnace to improve air circulation. Ive been doing business with Kennihan for the past several years and can honestly say that Rhyan was the most courteous, most professional and most thorough of any of the technicians Ive had in the past. If Kennihan could clone Rhyan they would have the perfect service team. I couldnt be more pleased with Rhyan and with Kennihan. Highly recommend for all HVAC needs.

    Kennihan always provides professional, friendly services. From the time you book your appointment to the post review, they provide great communications every step of the way. The office staff that do the scheduling are always pleasant on the phone and really try to meet your scheduling needs. We had a major clog in our kitchen sink pipes and Lauren promptly got us scheduled for the next available appointment. Albert our technician was very friendly and educated on finding the issue. He resolved the problem and provided post-clog instructions including a diagram of how the pipes should be re-done to prevent future issues. He was very transparent on the fees and proceeded as we approved. Kennihan is our go-to for plumbing and HVAC!

    I had a gas leak and they then found a carbon monoxide leak and fixed it same day! So when my furnace malfunctioned I called Kennihan of course. They helped with financing and thier service men were terrific!One year later I had them do routine yearly maintenance on Christmas Eve no less.     Fast, friendly, reliable service. Our go to when plumbing and HVAC issues occur. Always fixed right the first time.Had a water tank that recently turned 13 years old. We noticed midwinter some scolding was happening. Come spring we noticed a smell to the hot water. We contacted Kennihan. The following day, Zack came out and verified that the tank was aged out. He gave us some options. They were running a 0% on a tankless system. We felt no pressure, but did choose to upgrade to the tankless. 3 business days later, our tankless system was installed.We have been using Kennihan Plumbing and Heating since we moved into our house for various projects. We will continue to use them for years to come. No complaints. Highly recommend.

    We had an AC emergency (house 83 degrees) on a weekend while preparing to host the wake for a family member in the home. Zach showed up at 7:30 in the morning the day of the wake, started working efficiently and explained to us each thing he was doing.     I would like to say that I was very impressed with how everyone at Kennihan Plumbing and Heating worked with us on our very nasty basement drain blockage problem. LeAnn, in the office, was understanding, sympathetic, helpful and prompt to answer our questions and set up service appointments. Mark and Kory came out to diagnose the problem and was able to do a quick, temporary fix to tide us over, fully explained what needed to be done and said they would have estimates drawn up. Mr. Kennihan even called and came up with another solution which was acceptable to us. I cant say enough how pleased we were with Mark, Kory and the gentleman who came out with the big special tool needed to clean out dense tree roots and three blockages. They were quick, efficient and worked well together. Thats the kind of good customer service that is rare nowadays.

    My usual company came for my normal furnace inspection. They said that my furnace needed replaced and they were going to shut it off. I did not feel that the person they sent out really knew a lot. I called Kennihans for a second opinion. They had a technician at my house within 2 hours. He did a thorough inspection of my furnace and explained the problem.He had me prices on new furnaces within an hour. He was very knowledgeable, kind and courteous. This was on Friday the 9th and tomorrow they are installing my new furnace. I could not be happier with their service. It is Excellent!!!

    Folks were very nice, and job got completed successfully for what seemed a reasonable price. I was disappointed that they came much later in the day than theyd originally told me (and didnt proactively notify me), but once there, the work was efficient.     Fantastic company! Our furnace decide to stop working when it was 20 degrees outside. Kennihan had someone out in less than 2 hours.     Russelton/Curtisville area. 9/2024 new install complete HVAC system after original >14 yrs install by Kennihan company. Very professional with complete service from evaluation to completion. My project was a bit more complex than typical but Zach worked through the options and offered suggestions to meet my needs. Products included a heat pump, a minisplit unit, and better returns for more efficient airflow and uniform heating/cooling. Installation crew (Andy and Collin) did a very good job with the installation and left the entire work areas clean. Each day the crew would text their arrival time so as to alert who would be coming. Courteous and avoided tracking any dirt or debris into the home. Overall very satisfied with the work and looking forward to many years of the new system keeping my home comfortable.Recently had our annual A/C maintenance check by Chad Burr, technician. My A/C system was installed by Kennihans a few years ago and I have enjoyed the benefits of it and the service the Kennihan Company offers. Chad appeared promptly after receiving the courtesy call he was on his way. He introduced himself and had proper identification to be legitimate. Within 40 minutes he had thoroughly inspected and assessed the unit and compressor and completed all the items on his checklist. He explained each point of inspection and what the data/numbers indicated about my system. He offered recommendations and asked for any follow up questions I may have. He kept the worksite and my home clean and even offered the free opportunity for the air quality in the home to be evaluated. I will receive a follow up call sometime soon. Overall a good professional company with exceptional service and quality. Highly recommend to anyone.

    I have upgraded my experience from two starts to four stars.They moved up my installation services. Both the office staff and the technicians were courteous and respectful.I signed a contract to have a ductless heating system installed on July 11, 2022. At 3:30 in the afternoon on that date, I decided to call the company because no one had showed up to do the install yet. The person who took my call told me that they had moved my install date to July 21, 2022. They did this without ever even calling me to find out if this date would work. I had already moved all of the furniture out of the way in my office to prepare for their arrival. Now for 10 more days, I will be unable to get into most of my office furniture unless I move it back and then move it again before the 21st. I do plan on having this install done, but I will not use this company for anything else. The attitude displayed is arrogant and shows a definite lack of respect for the time of the customers who are paying for their service

It is their goal to treat your house as if it belonged to their grandmother. They always made it a point to work within my schedule as the installation progressed. Not only was their quote for the project exactly what I paid, but they were able to work with my existing duct work and did not insist that they replace it with their own.     We knew we wanted to hire them when a friendly voice actually answered the phone on the second ring.This was a very complicated plumbing job involving pulling a very large section of leaking copper pipe from under our neighbors patio home. Other plumbing companies contacted either did not return calls, or when they found out what was involved either stated that the job was beyond their scope, or, tried to tell us that it probably couldnt be done and the water line would have to be rerouted. Kennihan accepted the job, arrived on time, replaced the line, cleaned everything up and were gone in less than 6 hours.     I grew up a few miles away and probably rode the same school bus with Bill he was a few years older and when he started my parents and my aunt hired him so my connection goes back a long way. I I went to college got married took a job out of the area but got a chance to move back years later. Called them to check the furnace discovered it had a crack in the heat exchange he showed it to me so I bought a new one and had them do annual checks. Heres where the story gets personal. Many years later I got diagnosed with lymphoma. I kept working thru the chemo and my wife thought we should get air conditioning cause it was a hot muggy summer. Well they started to hook up the unit some of the wiring in my old furnace was corroded to the point it couldnt be used. Had to get a new furnace it was old mind you to get the AC running. They moved heaven and earth to get that running for me cause a stretch of 90 degree days were coming and they wanted me to be comfortable. My wife joked that the Kennihan army was coming to get it done. Its 12 years later Im still going strong getting another furnace with better filtration to help with allergies the AC going strong. As my aunt would say theyre just good people

This company is honest, dependable, and reputable, which is really not typical in this line of business.....Unfortunately, I know from experience.     Responding to an after hours emergency situation, Kennihan got a truck headed in my direction asap. The person taking my call even showed up first to see the problem before the truck could get to us. Once the plumber arrived he was professional and purposeful and took care of the problem. I made the right phone call.

    Our furnace quit on a Saturday evening (it is 2 /2 years old and we have it serviced every year). Bill called me within minutes and had someone out on Sunday morning. The motor had died and a new one was ordered and installed on Monday. It was a very cold weekend and I know they were very busy. We were fortunate in that we have two systems and our upstairs had heat. We were able to get by with a couple of space heaters and a gas fireplace. They are a wonderful business to work with.
